Naruto felt pain. His entire body ached in pain, and was sore. There was a massive source of pain coming from the side of his head, as he remembered that he was knocked out.
He tried to move, but realized that he was restrained and was chained to a chair. Naruto slowly opened his eyes, and saw that his clothing was ripped up, his sandals were missing. Naruto looked up and saw the massive man with orange hair that had knocked him out from earlier.
Naruto narrowed his eyes in confusion. Naruto then saw that the man was fiddling with random hardware tools, and needles. 'Where...Where the hell am I...?' Naruto thought in confusion and looked around the massive room that he was in.
The ceiling was impossibly high, and the room was around 100 feet by 100 feet.
"You're finally awake? Isn't my room nice? I saw that Itachi had no use for you...so I went ahead and claimed you for myself. I couldn't be happier." Rigo told Naruto who was fearing for his life.
"I've been dying to have you as company...Right from the moment I saw you." Rigo said and turned around and grinned at Naruto.
Naruto looked at the man with fear. Rigo lifted his hand up, and used his thumb to crack his index finger, making a loud pop sound.
"No. Since before I saw you. So please, try not to disappoint me." Rigo said and kneeled down and glared at Naruto with bloodshot eyes.
Naruto tried to get free from the chains he was in, which only tore his skin on his wrists and ankles.
"Chakra sealing fuinjutsu...When it enters a person's body, all chakra activity is suppressed. As soon as that happens, their body becomes easy to destroy, as there is no chakra flowing. Almost as if...you didn't even have chakra at all." Rigo said, and placed multiple seals on Naruto's body, which eventually faded from view.
Rigo grinned once more, "Though you are a bit different than others..." Rigo started to say. Naruto flinched at this.
"Since you are the Kyuubi jinchuuriki, it would usually push out any needle drug from the skin, with fast healing. Though with the sealing jutsu, as well as a certain entry point...That healing becomes void." Rigo said.
Naruto started to shake, "That one entry point is..." he started to say and touched his eyeball, "...is the mucosa!" he said.
Suddenly Rigo lunged forward and jabbed the needle straight into Naruto's eye, and injected the drug. Naruto's body convulsed in pain, "AAAAAGGGGGGHHHH!" Naruto exclaimed in excruciating pain.
Naruto started to pant, as his eye was bleeding before suddenly he could see out of the eye once again, confusing him.
Rigo grinned, "That drug...it suppresses chakra, but it enhances your jinchuriki's healing ability to an extreme level. Making it possible...to regrow small limbs!" Rigo said with a bloodthirsty grin.
Rigo then grabbed the wrench from his tool table and came over and ripped off all of his toes on hi feet, spraying blood everywhere. "AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Naruto exclaimed in pain once again.
Naruto looked down at his toeless feet and watched in shock, as his feet then regrew his toes before his very eyes. Rigo then repeated the process, making Naruto scream in pain.
"Now...I want you to count backwards by 7's from 1000." Rigo then said as he watched Naruto's feet regrow his toes, before he chomped off the toes right away with his wrench, making Naruto scream. "So...count!" Rigo yelled at him.
Naruto breathed harshly and took him a while to regain his breath, before he then spoke up. "...900...93..." Naruto said. Rigo grinned before repeating the process once more. "AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Naruto's scream echoed across the massive room.
It's been about a day since Naruto had awoken in the mysteriously large room. The room was silent..."AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Naruto's scream echoed loudly, ringing across the walls and bouncing off.
"Where are you in the count now?" Rigo asked with his clothes covered in blood. Naruto who was covered in blood as well, began to speak up.
"...500...and...59...500...and...52..." Naruto slowly said, while sobbing.
Rigo looked over at his play thing, and realized that the regrowth of Naruto's was slowing down. 'It seems that I am doing them too fast...' he thought to himself. Rigo turned and placed his wrench on the his table, "I'll be back after they regrow once more." Rigo said and began to leave the room, his footsteps echoing across the room.
Rigo passed by what looked to be slave, which was kept at this old hideout of Orochimaru's. "Clean that mess up." Rigo said.
"...500...and...38..." Naruto's voice continued the count.
The slave nodded, "Yes, sir." he said.
The slave then walked over near the chair which Naruto was chained to, and began to use a bucket of water and a mop to clean the massive amounts of blood on the ground.
"Young lad..." the man said.
Naruto looked up at he man, "W-What...?" Naruto said in confusion.
"I promise that I'll find a way to help you, youngling. This type of thing shouldn't be happening to a kid like you. Just hang in there." the man said.
"Why...me?" Naruto asked.
"I heard that they were calling you a jinchuriki. Apparently Rigo wants to use your special healing factor to fuel his sadistic desires...or something..." the man told him, before walking out of the room, leaving a sobbing Naruto.
Naruto woke up around another day later. He awoke to the sound of Rigo's footsteps, entering the large room. Rigo stopped right in front of him and placed his hand on his shoulder, before rubbing it down his arm, before retracting it. Naruto shivered from the touch.
"The weak are trampled upon, overrun, violated, and afflicted." Rigo said while laughing. Rigo then lifted up a red and black centipede in his hand and dangled it in front of Naruto.
"Did you know that your mother, the previous jinchuuriki...She had left you to the wolves of Konoha. When you were born, she sacrificed herself, to keep you alive in this accursed world." Rigo told him. Naruto couldn't pay attention to what he was saying, in fear.
Naruto looked at the centipede in fear, "Stop...D-Don't..." Naruto tried to say.
Rigo then approached the side of Naruto and shoved the red and black patterned centipede into Naruto's ear, "AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Naruto screamed in pain.
Rigo then went to his table and grabbed his bloody wrench as Naruto convulsed in pain. Rigo then began to repeat the process of wrenching off Naruto's toes, which began to grow back, quicker once again.
"AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Naruto yelled and panted as he desperately was trying to move his hands and feet from his chains.
"...200...and...23..." Naruto said before screaming in pain once again.
Naruto had eventually passed out from the pain. When Naruto awoke once more, he felt the cold chill of a washcloth on his feet, and looked down, and saw the man from earlier as well as a girl slave with him, cleaning his bloodied and scarred feet.
"It's too cruel." the man said.
Naruto gritted his teeth in pain, "S-Sorry..." Naruto told them.
"Naruto-kun." the man spoke first.
"We promise we'll save you, so don't give up." the girl then said.
The two of them then stood up from their kneeling positions. "All right, Naruto-kun. We'll be back later." the man said.
"We'll definitely get you out of here." the girl said once more.
The two of them turned to leave, before freezing as the door opened and revealed Rigo. The two of them bowed their heads as Rigo passed them, staring straight at Naruto. The two of them then left them in the room, alone.
Rigo turned his eyes to the side, looking at the two of them leaving before he had a bloodthirsty grin appear on his face. Rigo then yelled out in glee and then began to use his wrench to start cutting off Naruto's fingers, making him cry out in pain. He waited for them to heal, only to rip off again.
Naruto didn't know how long it had been, as he didn't even remember passing out. Naruto then suddenly heard the noise of water splashing, confusing him. Suddenly the touch of a hand came to his shoulder.
"Eh? W-Who..." Naruto thought before he then opened his eyes to see who it was.
Naruto's eyes then widened at the sight before him. It was himself. No. Not quite. This Naruto had black hair, red eyes with black sclera, and had a evil grin on his face. Naruto instantly knew who this was, as he then saw the massive cage behind his copy, as well as the sewer looking location.
Naruto looked at his copy in fear, "K-Kyubi..." Naruto said in fear.
"This is the first time we've met, Naruto." the Kyuubi said using his own deep voice, which sounded altered.
"And look at this. You're all beaten up. How amusing." the Kyuubi said.
Then the sound of footsteps reached his ears. The Kyubi chuckled, "It seems the master has arrived." the Kyuubi said.
Suddenly Naruto's view of the sewer changed back to the massive room, with his Kyubi copy of himself still next to him, which only he could looked forward and saw Rigo walking into the room, and he readied his wrench.
"AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Naruto screamed as he had his fingers and toes ripped off by Rigo who was using his signature wrench.
Rigo had a crazed look on his face with a massive grin and he was panting with glee. "How far have you counted?" Rigo questioned him.
"500...and...59..." Naruto said as Rigo continued to torture him.
Rigo then pulled up a bucket filled with blood, "I'm going to use you to fill this bucket up to the brim." Rigo told him and ripped off more fingers and toes.
"AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!' Naruto cried out.
Naruto was panting, 'Now I understand the reasoning...behind the counting...' Naruto thought as Rigo took more fingers and toes, taking the blood and filling the bucket. 'He's trying to keep me sane...While he takes my fingers and toes...over...and over...and over...and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over...!' Naruto thought in his head as Rigo kept plucking the fingers and toes as soon as they would regrow.
'Each time that I continued to regrow these fingers and toes...It feels like I'm becoming less human...' Naruto thought to himself in fear.
Naruto was panting as Rigo had taken a break.
"Hmmm..." the sound of his dark copy which the Kyubi inhabited said.
Naruto looked up to his right and looked at him, and saw his surroundings revert back to the sewer cage.
The Kyubi version of himself turned to him with a smirk, "You're awake." he said.
"Why...are you here?" Naruto questioned.
"Things like that don't really matter now, do they?" the Kyuubi said before standing up and walking around the chained chair which Naruto was stuck in, making ripples in the sewer water from his feet.
The Kyubi chuckled and smirked. "Tell me, Naruto. What kind of person do you think your mother was?" he said. Naruto turned to him at that mention.
"Earlier...he told you didn't he...How your mother had abandoned you..." the Kyuubi said. He then looked forward at the cage in front of them.
"Is that her?" the Kyuubi said, prompting Naruto to look at the cage, which changed from a cage, to a figure of a red headed woman.
The boy's eyes widened at the sight. Suddenly before his eyes the image in front of him changed, from his mother, to her being pregnant, to her holding a baby version of Naruto.
The Kyubi chuckled at the sight. "Well, aren't you just adorable? A fresh babe, about to be sacrificed." the Kyuubi said, making Naruto flinch.
Naruto calmed down and slightly smiled, "She seemed like an amazing person..." Naruto said, making the Kyubi dark Naruto frown at him.
"It's better to be hurt, than to hurt others. Kind people are able to find happiness with just that. That's what it seems like my mother thought..." Naruto said.
The Kyubi chuckled, "She was a kind and wonderful person, huh? That's why you're caught up in this mess." the Kyuubi said.
Suddenly Naruto was back in the real world and screamed in pain, "AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" he cried out in pain as Rigo began to wrench his fingers and toes off once again.
"You're a fine one, Naruto-kun." Rigo said and back off slightly. "Would you like to know why I'm so...personal toward you?" Rigo questioned. Rigo then smirked, and circled Naruto's chair, "I don't know if you've realized this or not, but you have remarkable regenerative abilities." Rigo said.
He then stopped behind Naruto's chair and brought his mouth close to his ear, "And it's all thanks to your mother sacrificing herself to make you into a jinchuriki." Rigo told Naruto, making his eyes widen.
Rigo popped another finger of his, "Uzumaki descent...Red hair. That's who you are, Naruto-kun." Rigo told him.
Rigo then took out another centipede similar to the previous one, making Naruto's eyes widen in fear. "Have you ever heard of the red-headed grass centipede? I feel like letting it wriggle around in your ear. You don't mind, do you?" Rigo questioned.
Naruto looked at it with wide eyes, shaking in fear. "N-No...Don't...Not that again...Please, I beg you. No...I don't want it! Don't! STOP! STOP!" Naruto screamed.
Rigo then brought it closer to his ear and let in enter and wriggle inside of his head. Naruto's body then convulsed in pain and spasmed as his feet and began to pound against the ground, ripping the chains against his skin, as well as his wrists which were shaking. Naruto began to scream and laugh at the same time.
"Oh, wow! How fascinating! I want to kill you! I want to eat you! Kill you...I'm gonna fucking kill you! It's okay if I kill you now, right? Am I allowed to eat you now? You want me to kill you?! You want me to eat you?!" Rigo questioned and laughed crazily, while Naruto was screaming and crying and laughing.
Eventually the pain had died down and the room quieted slightly. Naruto bowed his head downward and grit his teeth while crying. "Kill me...Please, kill me..." Naruto requested.
Naruto suddenly felt the touch of the Kyuubi dark Naruto on his shoulder, and looked up and realized he was back in the sewer mindscape.
"It's better to be hurt, than to hurt others. Have you been living your entire life believing that lie?" the Kyubi questioned.
"Considering that I am a jinchuriki...and the meaning of the word...It makes perfect sense..." Naruto told him.
"So you thoughtlessly let yourself be destroyed by the others around you? You can't be serious. How weak." Kyuubi said.
The Kyubi then chuckled and smirked, "Don't you want him to burn in hell? Are you sure that you aren't just also trying to follow your mother by example...sacrificing oneself for others?" the Kyuubi said, making him flinch.
Naruto looked down in sadness. "My mother...She sacrificed herself to save me...Which in result allowed me to live...and become a jinchuriki. In result, I was left alone...to fend off the wolves...From the beginning, there was nowhere I could call true home." Naruto said.
"Though..." Naruto started to say, getting the Kyuubi's attention. "There was just...two people..." Naruto said.
The Kyubi looked at him, before realizing he was thinking of the Uchiha and the civilian girl.
"Especially, Kagami. He was someone that I could hold onto..." Naruto said.
"He was a dear friend, wasn't he?" the Kyubi questioned with amusement in his voice.
"But..." the kyuubi said, getting Naruto's attention.
"Not only did you lose the girl...but you lost him as well." he said, making Naruto look at him with wide eyes. The Kyubi turned to him with his demon red eyes and smirked at him with a chuckle. "And it was all your fault." the Kyubi told him.
The world then change once again, back to the large room he was in. Rigo gripped his head and lifted it up to look forward. Naruto looked in front of him with wide eyes, looking at the man and woman who helped him earlier, gagged with cloth and tied up in front of him on the ground, and they were struggling.
Rigo gripped his head harder, before he spoke up, "'All suffering in this world is born from an individual's incompetence.' The person who told me that, was a real piece of shit. But right now, I'm grateful to him. I've come to understand something rather well these last few days, Naruto-kun. Never mind your physical capabilities, but your mental fortitude is unexpectedly tough as well." Rigo told him.
Rigo grinned cruelly. "So, I came up with a little plan to test that resolve." Rigo said, as the two who were tied on the ground continued to struggle and girl was crying.
"A man and woman, who love each other very much!" Rigo said and pointed over to the two in front of him. Rigo leaned into his ear, "You'll decide which one of them dies!" Rigo told Naruto, who's eyes widened at this.
"Up until now, I've let these two off the hook and look after you. You were hanging onto that sliver of hope that help was coming, right? You saw these two as your saviors, right?" Rigo said as he cracked another finger of his with a pop.
Rigo leaned back into his ear, "Which one will it be? If you don't choose, I'll kill them both." Rigo whispered to him, making him shake in fear with wide eyes. "Wait, let me rephrase that. Which one do you want to save?" Rigo questioned Naruto who then looked down at the couple in front of him, who were still struggling.
"Why...me? Why do I have to be the one that decides?" Naruto questioned. Rigo then looked at him with amusement before gripping his head harder, and pulling on it, making Naruto wince.
"Come on now. Hurry up and choose." Rigo tried to persuade him.
Naruto pushed his head out of Rigo's grip, and looked downward and grit his teeth. "I can't be the one that decides something like that! Wouldn't that just be the same as me killing them?!" Naruto questioned while sobbing.
Rigo looked down at him in irritation, "Pick one! Pick one! Pick one! Pick one! The man? Or the woman? Right? Or is it left? PICK ONE!" Rigo yelled at Naruto while glaring at him.
Naruto grit his teeth, "There's no way I can pick one! If you have to kill someone, kill me!" Naruto said back to him.
Rigo narrowed his eyes in irritation, before he let go of Naruto's head. "Very well." Rigo said.
Rigo then walked forward toward the couple, "Watch closely, now." Rigo said, making Naruto look at them. Rigo quickly leaned down and grabbed the woman by the neck and lifted her up with ease, choking her, making her whimper.
"This one? How about this one?! No?" Rigo questioned, making Naruto hyperventilate at the sight, while the man on the ground started to scream but it was muffled by the gagging cloth in his mouth.
"Come on! Pick one! I said pick one! She's gonna die! Well, Naruto? Come on! Come on! Pick one! Pick one!" Rigo yelled while squeezing the woman's neck tighter. The man on the ground was looking between the girl he loved, and Naruto in desperation, as Naruto just looked on with wide eyes.
Naruto was breathing hard, and the man on the ground struggled against his restraints. "Well?! How about it?! Well?!" Rigo said, still trying to get an answer out of Naruto.
The man who was struggling on the ground spat out his mouth gag, "Pick me, Naruto-kun! Haru...Haru's going to die! Pick me! Me! Pick me, Naruto!" the man on the ground attempted to get Naruto to speak up, but had no luck as Naruto was frozen, watching the scene in front of him with wide eyes.
Rigo then laughed and squeezed the woman's neck tight enough to splatter blood everywhere, before he dropped her body on the ground, dead. The man on the ground began to cry in sadness and anger.
"Haaahhh...She broke, didn't she?" Rigo said with amusement, as the man on the ground was glaring and grinding his teeth together, while Naruto just looked on in shock.
Rigo then walked over the the man, who was still glaring with anger. He leaned down and picked him up from the top of his head. Rigo then grinned at Naruto, "It's all your fault." Rigo said.
Suddenly Rigo's body was covered in black and orange marks and his right arm turned into a speak which pierced through the man's chest, sending blood everywhere.
He then dropping the man to the ground, with the sound of a splash. Making Naruto realize he was back in his sewer mindscape alongside the Kyubi copy of himself.
Naruto looked down in sadness. "I-It's not my...No...It is all my fault." Naruto said.
The Kyubi version of him smirked, "It took you that long to realize it? You'll just sit there and blame yourself over and over, but that won't change anything at all. You don't try to change. It's all your fault. That's only to be expected, right?" the Kyuubi said with amusement.
The Kyubi walked in front in front of him, "Whose fault is it that things ended up like this? Coincidence? An accident? Fate? There's no such thing as fate. It's simply a combination of one circumstance and the next. And who is it that creates those circumstances? Who is it?" Kyubi questioned him.
Naruto continued to look down at his feet. The Kyubi glared at him, "It's you. "All suffering in this world is born from an individual's incompetence." He's right, isn't he? This mayhem began because you were foolishly naive to the ways of the world." he said.
He then got close and leaned into Naruto's face, his red eyes staring into Naruto's violet, "You were a fool, and you were easily tricked. Your mother sacrificed herself, and now we're one and the same person." the Kyuubi said with hatred. He then leaned into Naruto's ear, "It's all because of you." he whispered.
The Kyubi then backed up and walked around him, before stopping in front of him. "It's better to be hurt, than to hurt others. That's why you're caught up in this mess. If only you were strong enough to kill Rigo, that couple out there would have been spared. If only yo had chosen the man, then the woman would have been spared. If only you had been strong at that moment." the Kyuubi said and looked up at the cage in front of him.
Naruto then looked up at the cage as well and saw the image change. The cage flickered to that forest clearing from about a week ago. Naruto then saw Satsuki with the Iwa Jonin behind her, with a kunai to her throat. The jonin then moved to slice her throat.
Naruto quickly tried to move from his chair, rattling his chains, breaking the skin on his ankles and wrists. "S-Stop it!" Naruto yelled as the Iwa Jonin then sliced her neck open.
Naruto looked at the scene with wide eyes as the scene then shifted once more and he realized he was now in Kagami's wrecked house.
"But there's more to come..." the Kyuubi said.
Naruto then saw Kagami's dead body, "K-Kagami..." he said in sadness, as he saw Itachi rise up covered in blood. Itachi then turned to him, before he faded into the figure of Rigo. Naruto then released a scream in anger and sadness and frustration.
"You see? This is the path that you chose. It's the future that you chose. Why are you crying? Why are you sobbing? You chose to be hurt, rather than to hurt other, right? You're kind and wonderful. It may seem like you're choosing both, but, really, you're forsaking both. Your mother was the same. If only she hadn't sacrificed herself, she wouldn't have saved you." the Kyuubi said with amusement.
"Shut up..." Naruto said weakly.
"What a foolish mother. If she truly loved you, then she should've never sacrificed herself, alongside whoever your father was, leaving you all alone." the Kyubi told Naruto who was crying,
"Stop it..." he tried to say.
The Kyubi smirked, "Deep inside, that's what you truly wished for, right? You wanted your mother to survive and let yourself die." he assumed.
Naruto was shaking his head, and sobbing, with tears covering his face. "M-Mother..." he said while crying.
"Why? Why did you leave me all alone? I want you...I don't want to be on my own. I wish...I wish you wouldn't have chosen me! I wish you had lived for my sake!" Naruto exclaimed loudly, making the Kyubi grin.
"Even if it meant forsaking you nobody father?" the Kyubi questioned.
Naruto grit his teeth, "Even if it meant that!" Naruto responded loudly.
"Even if it meant hurting someone?" the Kyubi questioned again.
Naruto looked up with wide eyes. "Even if it meant that!"
The Kyubi grinned, "Even if it meant taker her life?" he questioned.
Naruto's eyes were becoming bloodshot, "Even if it meant that!" Naruto exclaimed loudly.
The Kyubi smiled and placed his hand on top of Naruto's dark red haired hed. "Good. That's right, Naruto. There comes a time when you have to forsake something in order to preserve the other. Your mother couldn't do that. That's not kindness. That's just being weak. She didn't have the strength - the resolve to not save you. Will you allow yourself to be hurt any longer? Are you going to let Rigo get his way?" the Kyubi asked.
Naruto's violet eyes flickered red, "No...I won't! Naruto responded.
"Eventually, with how weak you are, Konoha will be destroyed." the Kyubi told him.
Naruto narrowed his eyes, "I won't allow that to happen." Naruto replied.
The Kyubi smirked, "Those from Konoha, and anyone else who becomes close to you, might be exposed to the same tragedy that happened here." the Kyuubi said.
"I'll spare no mercy for anyone who tries to take my home from me." Naruto told him.
The Kyubi narrowed his eyes at Naruto. "Do you have that kind of strength?" he questioned him.
"I do." Naruto replied.
The Dark Kyubi version of Naruto's red eyes started to glow, "Are you saying that you accept me?" the Kyubi then asked him.
Naruto had a stoic face, "No. I'm not saying that." Naruto told him before he suddenly broke free from his chained chair and pushed the Kyubi version of himself against the massive cage bars, and glared deep into the Kyuubi's eyes.
"I can surpass you at any time." Naruto told the Kyubi.
The Kyubi Naruto looked at him, "Are you sure you're not making the wrong choice?" he questioned Naruto.
Naruto looked back at the Kyuubi Naruto with wide eyes filled with hatred, which turned red, with slits for irises.
"I'm not the one who's wrong. What's wrong...is this accursed world!" Naruto exclaimed.
Kyuubi gave him a small grin, "That will do fine for now...Naruto. But eventually you'll realize that you will have no choice but to end up relying and using my power." the Kyubi Naruto said.
Naruto then shoved his hand through his copies chest which then made the body fade into himself.
Naruto then stood back up, and his eyes were glowing red, before his dark red hair suddenly turned pure snow white. "I am...a jinchuriki." Naruto said.
