Roman was sitting in the bullhead he fled along with Neo and the remaining White Fang members after team RWBY, Sun and Neptune attacked their rally where they would showcase the paladins, well just one.
"It's too bad that we lost our only paladin." A White Fang rookie said who was sitting beside Roman and Neo. "We have a lot of them. That wasn't our only paladin." Roman informed.
"So who were they? The ones that attacked us?" The co-pilot asked. "Some stupid Beacon students." The pilot answered. "Well… They did kick our asses and destroyed our stolen paladin." The co-pilot said. "How dare they steal what we have rightfully stolen!" Roman exclaimed lightening the mood.
Then the pilot got radioed. "Hold on…" The pilot said as he started listening. "One of our warehouses has been completely obliterated and we got a lot injured." The White Fang member on the other side informed. "Wait…really? What's the situation?" The pilot asked surprised.
"We got ten deceased and 7 injured. The ones that are currently fine are hoisted on the vehicles we got and are making our way to Mount Glenn." The White Fang member on the other side informed the pilot. "Then we'll meet you there." The pilot answered. The co-pilot looked at the pilot with worry.
"What do you think happened?" The co-pilot asked. "I have no idea but if that lady is behind it then she cannot rest peacefully ever because we will come after her!" The pilot answered with anger as the rest were starting to notice.
"Hey uh, aren't we going off course?" Roman asked. "Yes, we are. Apparently, something went down at our warehouse. It's been obliterated and most of the crew is dead and most of the living is injured so we're making our way to Mount Glenn." The co-pilot answered as the rest of the crew on board were surprised. "I wonder what went down." Roman wondered.
A few hours later they finally reach Mount Glenn. The bullhead landed in a secluded area. Roman and Neo along with the rest of the crew started to make their way into the mountain.
"So mind explaining what happened?" The pilot asked the remaining members inside the mountain. "And where's Cinder?" Roman asked. "Dead." An injured answered as Roman and Neo were surprised. Cinder was no pushover. She made people work for her through fear and threatened anyone who disobeyed would be reduced to cinders. So to have her die like that was surprising to them.
"But her lackey still lives." Another uninjured White Fang member informed them. 'She should've died too.' Roman thought. "So how did this happen?" Roman asked.
"Well when Emerald woke up I told the soldier near to inform Cinder. After Cinder came and talked to her Emerald told her about the one who did this and…" The Doctor trailed off. "And?" The pilot asked. "And while she was talking the culprit was just behind the door of my cabin!" The Doctor exclaimed.
"Wait what? How did he get behind our defences undetected?" The co-pilot asked. "That's what we've been trying to figure out! How did he get past our defences!?" Another injured exclaimed. Unknown to him he has the will to pursue and therefore the remaining fire dust from the explosion inside his body is moving closer to his heart.
"So Cinder decided to go after him along with five of us and went inside the warehouse that was obliterated." The doctor informed. "And then what? The Warehouse got obliterated?" Roman asked. "Yes, and those who were near the place was in the blast radius so they got injured as well." The Doctor informed.
"So about the one who did this..." Roman wondered. "NO!" Emerald shouted as they all looked at her with wounds standing by the stairs. "What…?" The co-pilot asked confused. "We mustn't think about him!" Emerald yelled. "And why is that?" Roman asked. "He…He…has a terrifying semblance. I…I don't know if it's telekinesis or something but something triggers it and...And…we get like bad luck or something." Emerald warned them.
They all laughed thinking Emerald was delusional from her injuries as Emerald was getting furious. "I AM TELLING YOU THE TRUTH," Emerald yelled as they stopped laughing. "Oh…come on you seriously can't believe that can you?" An injured white fang soldier mocked as he nudged his partner. He noticed something was wrong.
"Hey? Are you all right?" The injured white fang soldier asked his friend. He shook him. "Does he have a pulse?" The doctor asked as the injured white fang soldier checked for a pulse. He found none. "He…He…is…dead?!" The injured white fang soldier exclaimed with shock.
"What?! He wasn't supposed to die yet!" The doctor exclaimed as Roman and Neo slowly walked closer to the train. "Yet?" The pilot asked curiously. "Yes, he has shrapnel in his body and I removed most of them but I couldn't remove the dust that came with it. So he had about a week to live for." The doctor informed.
Emerald caught unto what Roman and Neo were doing so she used her semblance to the person that was looking at her then she left for the train stealthily as well.
"How did he die then?" The injured white fang soldier asked as they were starting to panic. "I…I…Don't know…" The doctor said. "Could he have died because of that guy?" The white fang rookie asked. "Don't be silly!" A white fang soldier scolded.
"Actually he is very correct." The wonder of U said. The remaining white fang members looked at the stairs to see that Wonder of U is standing on it. "So you're the one behind all of this?!" The pilot asked furiously. "Not really." The wonder of U said as they got confused.
"What do you mean not really?!" The injured white fang soldier asked. "You see the thing is that I am neutral. But only when you have the will to pursue me a flow of calamity will be upon you." The wonder of U answered knowing they weren't going to buy it, not all of them.
Roman, Neo and Emerald heard that. "What do you mean by "Flow of Calamity"?" A white fang soldier asked. "Well in simple terms it means bad luck." The wonder of U informed smiling while Roman was getting the train ready to depart.
"Well, your bad luck won't stop the will, the commitment and the sacrifice of the White Fang." The white fang rookie said as some of the soldiers' morale was increasing. "My bad luck won't stop the sacrifices indeed." The wonder of U said as the rest of them realized the mistake rookie made with that speech.
The train was ready for departure. Roman looked at Neo for the nod while Emerald was sitting in the back. Neo nodded and Roman turned on the train engine and were starting to leave. "Bullshit! You're bluffing!" A white fang soldier said as they aimed their weapons.
"You will regret that." The wonder of U said as that soldier almost opened fire but a piece of rock hit his face blowing up his skull. The rest of them started panicking and some of them were brave enough to pursue Wonder of U. "You do know that the inside of this mountain is hollow? Meaning it could collapse on you at any moment or should I say… Right now." The wonder of U said as a chunk of the ground that was above the mountain fell on top of a few of them crushing them Caesar style.
The mountain was losing its integrity and starting to collapse. "We have to escape! Fly us out of here!" A white fang soldier demanded the pilot. "We can't! The bullhead is too far away!" The pilot answered as he was panicking. "Let's take the train! Let's go! Let's go!" The injured white fang soldier yelled. "The train's not here!" The doctor said. "What do you mean it's not here!?" Another White Fang soldier asked. "Roman must've left with it! THAT BASTARD!" The doctor yelled as the remaining White Fang soldiers got angrier.
Then more chunks of the mountain collapsed on top of them crushing them Caesar style. But the doctor was able to send a distress signal to Adam Taurus before he died.
Meanwhile on the train…
"That was tense!" Roman said as Neo smiled and Emerald entered the cart with Roman and Neo inside it. "Oh, so you joined as well?" Roman asked. "Well… I couldn't just let you two get away without me…" Emerald said cracking a smile. "I honestly didn't think that you were correct with his semblance," Roman said as Emerald sighed.
"I know but how will we have our vengeance against him?" Emerald said wanting vengeance against Satoru Akefu for killing her mistress, the only person that got her out of poverty. "We won't," Roman said. "What?! What do you mean by that? We have to get that bastard!" Emerald asked agitated. "He is right behind you," Roman said as Emerald was overrun with fear. She fearfully looked behind to see Wonder of U.
"You see brat, He is neutral so as long as we don't pursue him we will be fine. Even your boss didn't survive that." Roman said. 'He's right about that… but do we just let him get away?' Emerald thought. "Look he's gone," Roman said as Emerald looked behind to see that Wonder of U is gone.
'But what about the White Fang since we abandoned them?' Neo asked with her sign. "Ah, yes that is a bit of a problem. I have no doubt Adam will come after us." Roman said. "Then what do we do?" Emerald asked not wanting to face Adam. "I have a plan…" Roman said.
5 minutes later, Beacon…
"Ugh…Professor Port's class was so boring." Yang said as Ruby agreed. "Don't disrespect the man! He has more experience than us." Weiss said. "Yeah yeah sure… Hey, Blakey are you gonna join us at the coffee shop?" Yang asked Blake. "No… I have things to do." Blake said.
"Look Blake we've talked about this. You've gotten yourself exhausted about something we cannot do!" Weiss exclaimed. "Hey, guys how are you?" Jaune said as he was walking around with his team. "Nothing much. We wanted to go to the Coffee house but Blake is all grumpy and doesn't want to join." Yang said.
"Come on Blake it'll be fun!" Ruby assured. "How about instead of Coffee we went to a Pancake Shop!" Nora exclaimed. "Look Nor-" Ren was about to say something until he got interrupted by a loud alarm. "What do you think is going on there?" Yang asked. "Nothing good but don't worry team RWBY will take care of it!" Ruby exclaimed as she went to Vale along with her teammates.
"Alright guys we're here let's see what's wrong," Ruby said as the rest of her team landed and stood by her. "Is… that a paladin?" Weiss asked seeing a paladin walking around crushing infrastructure. "That's Roman Torchwick!" Blake exclaimed. "Well looks like he wants a rematch and he's gonna get a rematch!" Yang exclaimed as she blasted off to the Paladin along with her team.
"Roman Torchwick!" Ruby Yelled dramatically as her teammates were standing by her ready to fight. "Oh hello little red," Roman said. "If you don't want another beat up then surrender!" Yang yelled excited for another beat up.
"Fine then," Roman said as he turned off the Paladin and were starting to exit. "Wait what?" Team RWBY was confused since they expected Roman to put up more of a fight. said. "I am surrendering," Roman said smiling. "You're not even gonna put up a fight?" Blake asked with suspicion.
"Well, a fight is what you all teenagers want so you're not gonna get it," Roman said smirking as Yang got disappointed and furious. "What?! This isn't fair. I came for a fight!" Yang exclaimed disappointed. "Life isn't fair," Roman said as he put his hands up.
Yang was getting angrier. "Let's beat him up anyway!" Yang said. "Yang no we can't do that or we'll be expelled," Ruby said with Weiss nodding. 'It's almost like he wants to get caught.' Blake thought. Unknown to Blake Emerald were using her semblance on Blake as Emerald and Neo made their escape.
