Ever night Castle, Land of Darkness…
Hazel was a tall and muscular middle-aged man. He was also unusually large and broad. He had short brown hair, a beard and hazel eyes. His hairy arms had large scars running up them, a result of using Dust infusions.
Tyrian is a pale man with gold eyes and a brown ponytail braided to resemble a scorpion's tail. He wears a white sleeveless jacket with leather belts strapped to it, along with white pants. His jacket is left open, exposing his bare chest, which is crisscrossed with prominent scars. His arms are covered with cream-coloured bandages. He also wears leather boots covering his entire shin with knee guards.
Watts was a tall middle-aged man with a slim build and slightly tanned skin. He had a short black and grey hair as well as a thick moustache and eyebrows, and green eyes. Arthur wore a grey overcoat with yellow linings, a yellow dress shirt, and a black necktie. His pants were the same colour as his overcoat. His yellow-buttoned undercoat and fingerless gloves matched his cordovan shoes, under which he wore yellow socks. He was also a disgraced former scientist from Atlas who had faked his own death in the Paladin Incident.
And Salem was the Queen of the Grimm.
And they were having a meeting in the Evernight Castle about Cinder's mission.
"So what are we here for mi 'lady?" Tyrian asked. Before attending this meeting, he was busy torturing some royalists from Atlas and he couldn't wait to get back to it.
"Quiet!" Watts ordered as Tyrian stopped scowled at Watts who didn't face Tyrian.
"This is about Cinder," Salem informed as Watts and Tyrian groaned and Hazel rolled his eyes.
"So what did that little girl do?" Watts asked annoyed.
"Did she die?" Tyrian asked excitedly.
"Silence!" Salem ordered as they were silenced.
"Now Hazel if you will?" Salem said giving Hazel the clarification to inform them about Cinder.
"As you all know, Cinder Fall was assigned the task to become the Fall Maiden and obtain the power of the Relic of Choice," Hazel said as Watts nodded and Tyrian scowled so Hazel assumed Tyrian heard him as well.
"8 days before she was going to infiltrate Beacon with her subordinates as Haven students…" Hazel informed.
"Yes, well that's due to the coward's help," Watts said talking about that Cinder was able to disguise as a Haven student because of Leonardo Lionheart since he is the headmaster of Haven Academy.
Tyrian was losing his patience. He wanted to hear that Cinder has died. He has a feeling that's the case.
"Well, her subordinates were taking care of traitors within the White Fang who were aware of Cinder's involvement. And when they went to take care of one of them, one of her subordinates, the assassin died while the other was brutally injured." Hazel informed them.
"Well, that was to be expected. I didn't think a little girl like her could succeed." Watts said as Tyrian was smiling.
"Well as you can guess, with one dead and the other one injured and her running out of time (To attend Beacon as Haven students properly) she was looking for ways to fix this since this meant that she would've failed you but I think since she was the half maiden she didn't think she was useless," Hazel informed as Watts and Tyrian chuckled as Salem was listening.
"She just needed one more person to replace the deceased subordinate since no one other than us know his face. She called up everyone but us." Hazel informed.
"Of course she has. She would never ask us for help." Watts said thinking about how childish that was.
"I got informed by the coward (Lionheart) that Cinder had called him six times a day asking for someone to replace him but everyone who needed to go to Beacon has gone and those that didn't were already a part of a team. She was late and desperate and Beacon was starting to notice the missing team and Lionheart had to keep making excuses." Hazel informed.
"Of course, she would fail. This is Cinder we're talking about. She asked the coward too much and now they probably are suspicious of the coward. Coward, he may be but he's more useful than Cinder." Watts said with disappointment as Tyrian was laughing.
"Yes, you're right," Salem said as she thought about the mistake Cinder did calling Lionheart too much thus making him suspicious.
"Well, what happened to the little girl in the hole?!" Tyrian asked as he thought Cinder was a child trapped in a hole she can't get out of. How amusing it was to see their faces with denial.
"Well apparently 3 days ago, the airfield she was in stressing out on along with the White Fang was attacked," Hazel said.
"Attacked? By whom?" Salem asked. She was intrigued by this attacker for some reason even though she has lived through many of them.
"I don't know madam. There are rumours that they were attacked by one man, a superhero, Roman Torchwick, Atlas or a traitor." Hazel informed.
"Superhero! It has to be a superhero!" Tyrian exclaimed with joy as he thought about fighting a superhero.
"A warehouse was blown up and the White Fang fled to Mount Glenn. After that, we lost contact with Cinder." Hazel informed.
"Lost contact? Did she really die?" Watts said surprised.
"Probably." Hazel guessed as Tyrian laughed.
"But how can that be?" Salem questioned.
"How can they kill a half maiden or capture her and then keep her captive without her burning everything?" Watts wondered with Salem.
"Maybe it's the superhero! He probably has some cool superpowers OR maybe she got killed by another maiden and now we have to deal with a girl with 2 maiden powers." Tyrian said.
"At least you make somewhat sense," Watts admitted as what Tyrian said does make sense except for the superhero part.
"Or maybe Ozpin threw his best huntsman or all of them at Cinder." Hazel guessed.
"I don't think Ozpin would be that rash," Salem said.
"And even if he did know about Cinder he would send Atlas along with the huntsman at Cinder." Watts scoffed.
"About Ozpin…" Hazel said.
"What about the good headmaster?" Tyrian asked.
"2 days after we lost contact with her, Ozpin was attacked in his office and was brutally injured," Hazel informed in amusement of Ozpin's misery.
"He was attacked?" Salem asked surprised since she didn't Ozpin to be attacked as well.
"Rumors are that he got attacked by the same people that attacked the White Fang," Hazel informed.
"Well…well…well it seems we got a new player in town and he leaves no trace of himself. I want to be his friend and cause more destruction!" Tyrian exclaimed in amusement.
"Someone who can do that to Ozpin and maybe Cinder should be on our side. Maybe we can invite him since we all hate Ozpin" Watts suggested.
"That seems fine and all but we don't know if it's one person or an organization," Salem informed.
"And if they or he hates Ozpin, Why wasn't he killed? I know I would." Hazel questioned since he would kill Ozpin since he hates Ozpin.
"Maybe to spread fear, warn people that whoever messes with them will face the consequences!" Tyrian exclaimed.
"That could be the case," Watts said.
"And the White Fang?" Salem asked.
"They aren't negotiating with me anymore. Since the negotiation with Cinder didn't work out." Hazel said in anger since it was because of Cinder that he doesn't have connections in the White Fang anymore.
"Very well. Hazel see if you can bring the White Fang on our side again." Salem ordered.
"Yes ma'am," Hazel answered.
"Tyrian see if you can find the one who is responsible for what happened to Ozpin. Head to Vale if necessary." Salem ordered.
"And Watts you will be informed of the events that will be occurring so that you can piece it together and find out why," Salem ordered as Watts nodded.
"That will be all. Dismissed." Salem dismissed.
Beacon Academy, Vale…
Team RWBY was in their dorm room trying to find out what happened to Ozpin. After the incident, the school told them that Ozpin got into an accident and was tangled up in the machinery.
"I don't get it. How can a headmaster who had this academy for years get in an accident like this, in his office!" Yang exclaimed.
"Look I don't like it as much as you do but we can't like to go up there to investigate or anything." Weiss reasoned.
"I mean what if it's the same person who attacked the White Fang?" Blake questioned.
"What makes you think that?" Ruby asked.
"Well… nothing really," Blake said.
"And I don't get how this intruder can get past both Beacon and Atlas security," Weiss said.
"Maybe he did get into an accident?" Ruby questioned.
"It's unlikely for the headmaster of a huntsman academy who is probably a huntsman himself to get tangled up in his own machinery." Blake reasoned.
"None of this makes sense. Who are we dealing with here? I thought Torchwick surrendered." Yang said thinking that Torchwick or his employer could be behind this.
"We aren't dealing with anyone. Headmaster Ozpin along with the staff are. We are just students." Weiss clarified.
"But what if they want to bring the Academy down?" Ruby asked.
"Then why did they let Headmaster Ozpin live?" Weiss questioned.
"Maybe Ozpin brutally injured him and he had to run away?" Yang guessed.
"And how did he escape either?" Weiss asked.
"Maybe they have security footage of it and just doesn't want us to know how he escaped?" Ruby questioned.
"But how did he escape?! We didn't see the elevator moving after Blake saw him and surely he didn't jump off or climb down, otherwise, we'd have noticed!" Yang exclaimed.
"Well, Blake knows what he looks like at least. We can look for him and track him down." Ruby said with enthusiasm.
"I guess you're right." Weiss agreed.
"Hey, Blake! Wanna help me move some stuff around for the dance?" Yang asked.
"Sure," Blake said as Yang and Blake left their dorm.
Headmaster's Office, Beacon, Vale…
"So James what have Connor gathered?" Glynda asked as she was standing up while Ozpin was sitting down on his desk.
"Well before you were attacked he went to investigate the locations the van went and one of them was called "Tukson's Book Trade"," James informed.
"And what did you find out?" Glynda asked.
"The place was more or less thrashed like your office on that day. No offence." James answered.
"None taken." Ozpin clarified.
"Anyway our detective found blood traces, multiple of them and they were from two people," James answered.
"So he went and injured two people?" Glynda wondered.
"Not just that. Connor was able to conclude that the van that was there 8 days ago also had the same blood traces only of one person this time." James informed.
"So they went there to pick up their injured," Glynda said.
"I wouldn't say it was their injured since those blood belonged to a male and a female human," James said.
"That means they must be working for Cinder," Ozpin said.
"Probably. But the girl's blood traces were also found in the van, the bin from the doctor's cabin back at the airfield and inside the train that Roman used." James informed.
"So she must still be out there…" Glynda wondered about her whereabouts.
"And the other one?" Ozpin asked.
"His blood traces were only found in the trash near the airfield and inside a body bag. We can assume that he's been disposed of." James said as Glynda and Ozpin felt bad for the poor soul that died because he got manipulated by Cinder.
"And we were able to figure out who those people were," James informed.
"Really?! Who were they?" Glynda asked as she wasn't expecting James to know. Ozpin on the other hand could tell that James wasn't pleased.
"They were Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai." James informed as Ozpin realized something.
"Those…names sound familiar…" Glynda tried to remember.
"They were students from Haven Academy. The ones that were missing. I suppose this is why." Ozpin answered as Glynda was shocked and James groaned.
"What! She manipulated innocent students into doing her work!?" Glynda exclaimed with anger.
"That's not the case. Cinder was their team Leader along with Neopolitan being their teammate. And they made up Team CEMN. I highly doubt they started as students." James said.
"What do you mean?" Glynda asked confused. Did Cinder not manipulate students?
"He means that they joined the academy waiting to be exchanged with Beacon to infiltrate it." Ozpin clarified as Glynda was surprised.
"Bu-But why would they need to infiltrate Beacon?" Glynda asked.
"To find and obtain the remaining power of the Fall Maiden." James guessed as Ozpin nodded.
"But she got attacked after the first years begun doing their work!" Glynda exclaimed trying to make sense.
"Wa-wait… You don't think what I am thinking are you?!" Glynda questioned with shock.
"Yes, unfortunately, I am…" Ozpin admitted.
"Leonardo Lionheart sent them here. He did know about the Fall Maiden's whereabouts. He can add them in his academy anytime he likes since he is the principal." James said. He never trusted Lionheart much. He only tolerates him because of Ozpin.
"But I don't think it can be Leonardo himself!" Glynda exclaimed in disbelief.
"Face it, Glynda. If Leonardo was who claim himself to be then he would've noticed an extra team being added when they shouldn't be and then have that same team be exchanged." James said.
"So are you trying to say that Leonardo works for Salem?!" Glynda exclaimed in shock.
"We don't know about that. It could be someone who wants to get their hands on the Fall Maiden. All I do know is that he isn't our friend anymore." Ozpin said saddened.
"I am sure Salem and her minions weren't expecting to face an obstacle such as him," James said as he thought about Wonder of U.
"And I have no doubts that they will try to recruit him," Ozpin said.
"And if he joins them?!" Glynda asked as she couldn't comprehend facing calamity.
"They won't even get a chance to invite him," Ozpin said.
"I know, I have faced the Wonder of U," Ozpin said as they were somewhat relieved.
A few hours later…
Blake was almost finished with moving stuff with Yang. Yang had already left for their dorm. Blake said she'll get there after she gets a book from the library.
"This should be it," Blake said as she grabbed the book from the shelf. It was dusty so she blew on it and now it was less dusty.
'I'll head back.' Blake thought as she was walking out of the library. Then she noticed someone standing by a bookshelf.
'Who is that?' Blake wondered as she observed the man. It was nighttime and dark but since she was a Faunus she could see in the dark. She observed the man. And she realized it was the same man who attacked Ozpin.
To Be Continued...
Ok guys that is it for this chapter. Sorry for any writing mistakes. And I made the whole team CEMN thing up since I can't remember their "Team" name.
And you guys might be wondering what option did Tooru go with? Well, he went with Option A.
Now you might be wondering why. Well when I was reading the reviews, one guy suggested that I show the results of all the options saying it was a bright idea.
So I agreed. I am going to show the results of all the options, at least that is what I have decided since after all, I don't know the future.
The options I am going to go within the order are A, D, B, C.
Option A is basically what Tooru has always done.
Option B is will be the slowest for Tooru.
Option C is the hardest for Tooru.
And Option D is basically a speed run.
So that's why I put D after A.
