Chapter 24: The Marsh
"Ta da!" Shauna cried with a beaming face as she revealed Serena to Ash and the others. The noblewoman had just finished cutting Serena's hair into a new style. While not quite as short as she wore it immediately after escaping Lumiose city, it was the shortest she'd worn it, stopping just above her shoulders.
"What do you think?" Serena asked innocently.
"Vous êtes belle." Ash answered sincerely, though Shauna giggled.
"As if he'd say anything else."
"Hmmm, I still liked your long hair more." Bonnie pouted.
"With the Queen after her too, she had to change her appearance again." Clemont said.
"Oui, plus if my hair had gotten any longer, it would've started dragging into the mud." Serena muttered as she looked out just beyond their camp.
Route 14 was perhaps the most unpleasant trail yet, with marshes, swampland, and other unpleasant terrains as far as the eye could see. Rain fell almost constantly, and the thick woodland tree cover made the route dark even during the daytime.
There was a serviceable road well-maintained by the crown and counts of Laverre. However, it was undoubtedly worse for wear since the invasion and numerous skirmishes. However, the group couldn't know for certain, for they hadn't taken the road.
While ultimately safer, this vastly lengthened the journey to Laverre city.
"How far do you think we should travel today?" Serena asked, trying not to sound weary.
"We still have a ways to go, so at least six miles by nightfall." Ash said, earning a deep sigh from the Princess. She didn't like complaining, but her episodes of fatigue after performer training only increased, and to make matters worse, her feet were starting to hurt too. Serena supposed it was from trudging through the wetlands after several days.
Yet, Shauna had resumed her performance training since being freed and hadn't suffered the same, nor had Ash and Clemont with their sparring. Still, the Princess knew complaining wouldn't help and simply needed to keep moving until they reached Laverre city. Perhaps then a proper physician could see if something was wrong.
After finishing breakfast, the group set off, with Shauna fearlessly removing her shoes and wading into the knee-deep wetlands first, Bonnie on her shoulders.
"Allez! What are you all waiting for!" She giggled. Serena and the others couldn't help but smile at Shauna's resiliency. Despite spending months as a Galar Prisoner, she remained in high spirits since they rescued her.
Serena was about to step in when she felt Charizard nudge against her.
"Eh?"
"Grauu."
"You've been looking a little tired lately. Why not take a ride on Charizard today." Ash added.
"Well, I, I didn't know if Shauna would rather-"Serena started.
"Don't even think about it, Serena!" Her Lady in waiting laughed.
"Meri." Serena exhaled deeply and climbed onto Charizard's back.
Charla looked out at Braixen, who beamed while riding on Lucario's shoulders to avoid the mud, Pancham doing much the same with Tyrunt.
"Char." She muttered before Braixen shouted back that she had wings.
"Char!" Charla retorted, stating that was beside the point before taking off and flying beside Charizard.
Ash and Clemont walked with their other Pokemon, save Pikachu, who rested on Ash's shoulder, and Fletchinder, who flew ahead to scout out the area.
"Is it true that Laverre City is full of Kanto and Johto culture?" Bonnie asked.
"Oui! Lots of Kanto and Johto merchants have settled there, bringing their heritage with them!" Shauna sounded just as excited as Bonnie.
"Countess Valerie herself is originally from Johto before her family came here when she was a little girl. Her father convinced Count Philip's father, then Count Rene, to betroth her to Philip."
"So she's kind of like you and Red." Shauna giggled at Ash.
"No, we're Kanto, not Johto." Ash corrected.
"What precisely is the difference?" Clemont asked.
"Well, I mean, to be honest, I can't remember much?" Ash admitted sheepishly while sweatdropping, earning a sigh from Pikachu.
"Here you were correcting me." Shauna giggled with Bonnie and Serena.
"Well, I know they're connected by land, unlike the other regions. If I remember correctly, we used to be part of one empire originally until a civil war over a thousand years ago split the empire into two dynasties. The western one eventually became Johto and the eastern one Kanto. From there, the cultures diverged. I don't know much more."
"You don't know about your culture and heritage?" Bonnie scolded Ash, who sweatdropped.
"I don't even really consider it my heritage anymore. I only have vague memories of Kanto. Red and I were raised here. We've lived here most of our lives. We've fought for Kalos. I don't consider anywhere else my home but Kalos."
Hearing this and his dedication earned warm smiles from the others.
"And we're glad you ended up here." Serena said.
"Fletch!"
"Quoi!?" Ash channeled his connection to Fletchinder and peered through the fire-bird's sight.
"Merde!"
"What's wrong!?" Serena cried though she was certain of the answer.
"Routiers!?" Clemont cried while reaching for his sword.
"Worse." Ash groaned.
"Ahhh!" Bonnie screamed and nearly fell off Shauna's shoulders.
"Bonnie?" Shauna started before an all too familiar stench filled her nostrils.
"Non!" Shauna and the others gasped when they saw a body floating in the marsh towards them. Greninja narrowed his eyes and carefully moved his long tongue out of the water when he spotted several more floating or half-sunken in their brigandine armor, a few pokemon beside them.
Unfortunately, by the looks of their armor, Pokemon, and the presence of non-combatants, these were Kalos troops and travelers.
"There was a battle here!" Serena muttered.
"Oui, and we lost by the looks of it. No going back to the road now, but there's a bigger problem." Ash grunted in clear frustration.
"What is it? Are they waiting for us up ahead!?" Shauna asked.
"Not just anyone, our old friend, Sir Mercer."
Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, and even Shauna went pale.
"Sir, Mercer." Serena muttered.
"Merde!" Shauna wailed.
"Wait, you know Sir Mercer?" Clemont almost gasped.
"Only by his infamous reputation among the Galar. Some say serving under him is a form of capital punishment."
After everything they'd seen, Ash and the others didn't doubt that.
"We have to find a way around now." Serena said before noticing the fierce conflict on Ash's expression.
"The thing is, Mercer is attacking survivors."
"Ahhh!" Ash took a deep breath and turned to Clemont who nodded.
"Allez! Ash is right, we're chevaliers! We can't leave them!"
"Ohh, big brother!" Bonnie beamed at Clemont with glittering eyes.
Within moments he had Ash and himself armored.
"How are you going to move in this marsh?" Shauna asked with sincere concern.
Clemont smiled and adjusted his glasses behind his raised visor.
"With technology! Behold, my marsh feet!"
"Marsh feet." Bonnie muttered while sweatdropping. Serena and Shauna, however, appeared more intrigued when they saw Clemont stand up almost a foot taller on what looked like spiked shoes.
"Tempered glass for extra strength, and quite durable in water."
"Incroyable!" Shauna cried.
Ash considered putting on the other pair when Greninja approached him and pointed to his back.
"Are you sure?"
"Gre!"
"Pika!"
Ash nodded and raised his fist.
"Charizard, Lucario, Tyrunt, stay here and protect the others. Fletchinder, you come with us."
"Bunnelby, you and Luxray stay behind too. Chespin, let's go!"
"Ches!" Ash and Clemont's other Pokemon looked slightly disappointed but nodded.
Ash climbed onto Greninja's back, and the water ninja glided through the water while Clemont moved through the muddy water with ease, thanks to his Marsh Feet.
"Please be careful." Serena muttered as he gripped Charizard tighter. Unknown to her, Shauna, and Bonnie, someone else watched them closely from behind.
"Grauu!
"Grauuu! Charizard and Lucario sensed them first and quickly turned around.
It was only a minute or two before Ash and Clemont arrived at their destination, a much deeper part of the marsh where they spotted a dozen or so men/pokemon and a few women desperately trying to wade through the muddy water while pokemon moves and longbow arrows flew at them.
A few struggled after suffering hits, and those still in armor barely kept themselves from drowning.
"Now remember, men-at-arms, are worth a shilling with their armor. Peasants are only worth three pence!" Sir Mercer's voice nearly made the hair on Ash and Clemont's arms stand up, and Pikachu growled. He stood with thirty or so Galar soldiers on the swamp's edge, with a dozen or so Longbowmen among them.
These archers loosed arrows or directed their Pokemon while the other soldiers made bets.
"Damn you salopards! Reduka's divine justice will come for you!" A wounded Kalos man-at-arms cursed as he struggled to get away with a longbow arrow sticking out of a gap in his brigandine.
Sir Mercer scoffed.
"Your Dauphin is dead already, Sliggoo eaters!"
"Ehh?!" Ash and Clemont muttered, their hearts racing.
Similar dread overcame the Kalos survivors, further hindering their escape attempts.
"N'écoute pas! The Dauphin lives! He's Kalos's hope, as is the Princess!" Another man-at-arms cried while his Honedg helped him move.
"Our King has him trapped like a Bunnery ready for the cooking pot. No one's coming to save him, just like no one's coming to save you! Flash Cannon!" Sir Mercer's Metagross aimed itself at the survivors.
"Non! Flame Charge! Thunderbolt!"
"Pin Missile!?"
"What the!? Iron Defense!" Metagross protected himself with all four arms moments before Fletchinder came in covered in flames and collided.
Pikachu and Chespin provided cover, attacking the general area more than anyone in particular. Fortunately, it had the desired effect, scattering the Galar troops and their Pokemon.
"Chevaliers!" A peasant cried in pure joy when she saw Ash and Clemont.
"Get away. We'll hold them off!" Clemont roared while racing towards a trio of longbowmen who attempted to resume their volleys.
"String him up, lads. He might be worth a ransom!"
"If not, that armor will fetch a pretty pence!" All three noticed the new gilded spurs on Clemont's armor, marking him a knight, and loosed their arrows while two Binacles let out water gun. The longbowmen didn't expect their arrows to penetrate quality Kalos plate armor even at close range but hoped the force might disorient him.
Unfortunately, Ash and Greninja trained Clemont well, and he knocked two of the arrows away using his buckler, avoiding the third altogether.
"Vine whip!"
"Ches!" Chespin leaped off Clemont's shoulder and whipped apart the incoming water guns before hitting and knocking out both Binacle.
"Ahhh!" One of the longbowmen frantically reached for his hatchet, but Clemont moved too fast and slashed across his unprotected face.
"Morty!"
"Let's get 'em, Rick!"
The two longbowmen pulled out their hatches and attacked Clemont from both directions. The young chevalier parried one with his buckler and caught the other with his sword.
Moving fast to escape the encirclement, Clemont maneuvered to the side and focused on the nearer longbowmen. Lacking a shield, the archer struggled to face Clemont's sword and buckler, which he used in coordination, overcoming the man before his partner could respond.
"Rick! Ahhh, you did it now, stupid wanker!" Clemont almost blinked when he realized that the longbowmen came at him in nearly the exact same way the knight had days earlier. Acting purely out of reflex, he blocked the blow, trapped his foot, and brought the archer down with leverage.
Elsewhere, Ash rode Greninja across the shoreline, avoiding incoming attacks and longbow arrows as Pikachu continued to return moves.
"You're gonna die in this bog! Thunder punch!" Mercer snarled.
"Agility!"
"Fletch!" Fletchinder evaded all four incoming punches when Mercer peered closer.
"Hold on. I recognize this Sliggoo eater! Bloody Hell, it's him! Any man who kills him loses his head! I want him alive!" Mercer roared like a feral pokemon.
"I'll send you to your damned brother in pieces!" Mercer drew his sword and charged into the marsh alongside half-a-dozen men-at-arms.
"Water Shuriken! Thunderbolt1" Ash leaped off Greninja, allowing him to flip into the air and barrage the Galar forces with water shurikens.
Mercer and three of his men-at-arms had to frantically avoid Pikachu's thunderbolt, though their six Woobat weren't so fortunate and collapsed. Ash fought his way through the men-at-arms with brutal efficiency, bringing them down one by one with a combination of precise and ferocious blows and anti-armor techniques.
"Someone bloody nab him!" Mercer snarled louder. Unfortunately, Greninja's barrage of water Shurikens prevented any other soldier from advancing.
"Flame charge!"
"What the!?" Sir Mercer didn't see Ash's Fletchinder move in, faster this time and strike his Metagross's side.
"Gross!"
"Gaaah! Get up, get up!"
Ash felt an overwhelming rush of power and energy inside him via his connection to Fletchinder. Pikachu and Greninja sensed it too.
"Wait, don't tell me!"
Fletchinder glowed white and started a transformation, emerging moments later.
"Flame!"
"Ahh, Fletchinder, you evolved!"
"Pika Pikachu!"
"Bien!"
"Thunder punch!"
"Flamethrower!"
"Flame!" Talonflame engulfed Metagross, hurling him onto Sir Mercer and pinning them both in the water.
"Gaaah! Get off me!"
Ash continued his melee against four more men-at-arms, Greninja, Talonflame, and Pikachu aiding him by keeping the others occupied. Clemont, meanwhile, tried to aid Ash when he noticed most of the Kalos survivors had vanished.
"Quoi?"
"Ches!" Chespin pointed two a final wounded man-at-arms who was lifted out of the water by the A Sylveon's ribbons.
"Syl!" The Fairy pokemon sang as she helped the wounded soldier escape.
"A Sylveon?"
Moments later, both sides watched in awe as another figure appeared across the marsh. A young woman, perhaps Ash and Clemont's age, with long brown hair and blue eyes, rode in on a Galar Rapidash. Oddly enough, she wore what looked like a suit of armor made out of rose gold with a matching pink cape and a strange gemstone pendant around her neck.
"Who is that!?"
The young woman narrowed her eyes at the Galar while another Pokemon floated overhead. All eyes now turned to the fairy-like gemstone pokemon who mirrored her trainer's expression.
"Is that a Diance!" Ash muttered in disbelief.
"Pika!"
"Gre." Greninja gazed upon her with particular interest.
"Ahhh! It is a Diance!" Clemont nearly fainted, having seen the legendary Pokemon in many manuscripts.
"Ches!" Chespin's eyes turned to hearts.
"Legendary Pokemon! Don't just sit there, you twats! Get it!" Mercer roared.
"Moonblast!"
"Diance." Diance closed her eyes and soon lit up the entire marsh, blinding all of the Galar but not the Kalos.
"Incroyable." Ash and Clemont muttered.
"Allez!" The young woman shouted. Ash and Clemont didn't need any further persuasion and quickly crossed the water with Greninja's help.
"Merci." Ash said.
"Ne le mentionne pas, allez monsieurs. We need to get moving."
"Who are you?" Clemont asked.
"Tori, I serve Countess Valerie." Despite the fact that she rode a Galar Rapidash, Ash and Clemont saw no reason to doubt Tori's word. She looked and sounded Kalos sure enough and had a distinct Laverre accent, meaning she likely wasn't one of Lysandre's agents but indeed a servant of Valerie.
After several minutes they arrived in a secluded area, well concealed by thick foliage.
"Where are we?"
"The lost castle, it will provide us with a safe haven from the Galar." Ash and Clemont followed Tori down a staircase lit by several torches where several wary men-at-arms stood watch with some Doublades.
However, when they saw Tori and recognized Ash and Clemonts' armor as Kalos, they relaxed.
"Bonjour, madame, monsieurs."
"Bonjour, how are our new guests doing?"
"Bien." Ash and Clemont looked over and saw the same survivors they'd helped in the marsh spread out beside hundreds of others across the vast castle interior.
"Ash!"
"Clemont!" The two chevaliers' hearts soared when they saw Serena, Shauna, Bonnie, and their other pokemon racing over.
Serena wrapped Ash in a warm embrace while Shauna and Bonnie.
"Merci Reduka." Serena exhaled deeply.
"I found madame Yvonne, mademoiselle Shauna, and Bonnie and brought them here."
"Merci." Ash and Clemont said in unison, both instantly remembering the alias Serena often used to conceal her identity.
"What happened here?" Clemont asked while looking back at the wounded soldiers/pokemon and non-combatants around them.
"We failed Kalos. That's what happened." A nearby soldier moaned in deep lament as he curled himself up almost into a fetal position.
"These men were part of a large crossbow company intended to head west in support of the Dauphin." Tori sighed. Upon closer inspection, Ash and Clemont realized that most of the soldiers' armor was typically what crossbowmen wore.
"Monsieur Jehan was leading them west several days ago when the Earl Bede and his men ambushed them." Tori spoke somberly as she looked upon the soldiers with almost motherly care.
"When word reached us in Laverre city, my Lady was quite horrified. But alas, her lord husband and most of his troops are still campaigning further east alongside Count Red."
"Red!" Ash quickly caught himself, knowing that if he revealed himself as Red's brother, she and the others might suspect Serena's identity.
"However, my lady couldn't sit by, so she sent me to save as many men and pokemon as I could."
"You've been rescuing men for days now without getting captured!?" Clemont cried in disbelief. However, Tori gave only a humble smile and stroked each of her Pokemon.
"Oui, but I can't take that much credit. It was Sylveon, Rapidash, and Diancie who did all the real work."
"It doesn't matter if we survived. Our cause is lost, Kalos is lost." Another soldier muttered.
Ash and the others felt their hearts race, particularly when he and Clemont remembered Sir Mercer's words.
"Tori, what are they talking about? Has something happened to Cal-, the Dauphin?" Serena quickly corrected herself.
Tori took another deep breath and braced herself against Rapidash. She looked like the kind of person who was generally optimistic and hopeful, which only frightened the group that much more.
"You've just arrived here, and word hasn't reached the rest of Kalos yet. But things aren't faring well for the Dauphin. King Victor won a series of small skirmishes against the Dauphin in recent weeks and separated his army from the rest of our forces. Grand Duke Daniel and his troops are still with him, but they're outnumbered three to one and trapped on the edge of Route 19."
"What about the other Counts!? The Dukes!" Serena cried in utter horror.
Tori tightened her grip around Rapidash.
"Three days ago, Count Wulfric's forces suffered a defeat at the hands of Earl Raihan, and Duke Siebold was similarly beaten by Duke Lysandre. Both lords are unharmed and their armies intact, but they were the only ones close enough to support the Dauphin and are now cut off from him."
Serena turned pale and covered her mouth as flashbacks of Lumiose city when she learned of her father's death came back.
"Non! Non! He's not dead yet!" Ash roared.
"He can't beat an army that large. The Galar have won." A crossbowman lamented.
"He has the Grand Duke with him! There's still hope!"
"Pika, Pikachu!" Ash and his Pokemon tried desperately to reach the demoralized men but to no avail.
"Don't give up! We can't give up until the end!" Hearing Ash say this in his fiery voice instantly rekindled Serena's spirit and wiped all thoughts of fatigue from her mind.
"Oui! Shauna, I think we can help them." Shauna looked slightly confused at first before realizing what she intended.
"Serena, I don't think that's a good idea."
"Shauna, I've seen what performances can do for people. Arnaud and his men found hope because of a performance."
"I know, but you're well known for performing. If they find out who you are and turn you over to the Queen."
"I don't care about that right now! These are my people, and if I can help them, it's my duty!"
Shauna thought back to her months in captivity, surviving mostly on hope that one day she'd be free. Taking a deep breath, she put on a determined expression. The two explained their plan to Ash and the others, with Clemont being hesitant but Ash and Bonnie encouraging them.
Several minutes later, the two emerged from an empty chamber in performer outfits and their Pokemon similarly done up. By then, Tori and her Pokemon were tending to a few of the wounded men she saw them.
"Madame?"
"Tori, if you wouldn't mind. Shauna and I are performers, and we thought perhaps the men might like a show to lift their spirits."
"Performers?" Tori looked at them with intrigue, particularly Serena, but then nodded.
"Oui, that sounds like a wonderful idea. I wouldn't mind seeing it either!" Ash, Clemont, their Pokemon, and any other man capable of walking helped Tori move the wounded men into the main chamber.
Diancie hovered above a makeshift stage and lit up the entire area with dazzling pinkish lights.
"Brave soldiers of Kalos, it's my honor to present you with two fabulous performers guaranteed to chase away your sorrows, madame Yvonne and mademoiselle Shauna!"
Ash and the others applauded, but the few hundred soldiers remained as silent as the grave, all of them and their Pokemon appearing numb to the world. Despite this, Serena and Shauna began without hesitation.
Rather than her typical flying routines, Serena stuck with a more traditional dance performance, given their location and Shauna's inexperience with wingsuits. Even so, the Princess proved no less spectacular as she and Shauna moved with fiery passion and masterful coordination. The two started apart, initially only moving in synch with their Pokemon, but they slowly moved closer together as the routine went on.
"Fire Spin!"
"Disarming Voice!"
Braixen spun her wand around and sent a spinning stream of fire into Delcatty's Disarming voice, turning the flames pink and slowing them down.
"Cham!" With the fires slowed, Pancham was able to perform backflips through the openings, and Charla similarly flew through from above, eventually catching Pancham.
"Char!" Charla flew out and over Serena, dropping Pancham into her and Shauna's arms.
"Cham!" Pancham spun himself with both young women, unleashing a very controlled dark pulse, which Charla and Braixen blasted fire into.
Tori and her Pokemon couldn't quite describe it, but an overwhelming sensation of hope and possibility came over them while watching the performance. Much to her delight, this spread among the soldiers, many forcing themselves to sit up for a closer look despite their injuries.
Serena and Shauna came together with all four Pokemon and, combined with their moves, let loose a rain of blue irises, which came upon the soldiers like pure sunlight.
"Espoir!" Someone shouted.
"Espoir! Espoir! Espoir!" The word echoed across the castle with fiery enthusiasm, life, and purpose, returning to the demoralized soldiers as they applauded.
Shauna beamed, this being her first official performance since being taken prisoner, and bowed.
Later that evening, after dinner, Serena left the others to rest while Ash and Clemont spoke with some of the soldiers and Tori to discuss how they'd move to Laverre City.
"Bonsoir."
"Eh?" Serena had nearly dozed off with Charla and the others when she saw Tori enter the chamber with Diancie and her other Pokemon.
"Ahh, bonsoir."
"That was quite a performance you gave. I never imagined it would have such an effect."
"Well, performing is a way of inspiring others. That's what I love about it."
"Oui and those irises were quite a finisher."
"Merci!" Serena beamed slightly, not noticing the smirk on Tori's face.
"I've heard stories that the Princess's performances have inspired men, women, and Pokemon across Kalos and that she tends to finish with blue irises."
"Oui, I-" Serena yelped while Charla, Braixen, and Pancham sweatdropped.
"It's an honor to meet you, your majesty."
"I, I-" Serena trembled.
"Relaxer, I know the Queen's after you. Don't worry, after what I saw tonight, the last thing I want is for you to leave Kalos to marry some Castilian against your will."
"Ahhhh, merci." Serena exhaled deeply.
"I must ask, though, are you well, Princess?"
"Eh?" Serena asked.
"You seem far more tired than Shauna."
"Oui, I've just been feeling more tired lately and a bit sick."
Tori glanced at Serena's feet, the Princess having removed her shoes and socks.
"Hmmm, I wonder."
"Wonder what?"
"Nothing. We can confirm it at Laverre."
"Tori, if you don't mind me asking, where did you find a Diancie?"
Tori smiled and hugged her Pokemon for a moment before Diancie lit up one of the walls, revealing almost ancient paintings.
"She's a fairy type, you see. Like my lady Valerie, I also love Fairy Pokemon. She gave me leave a few years ago to seek out Diancie and discover if she was real. It wasn't easy, but I found her eventually, with some help." Serena noticed Tori stroke her pendant, which almost seemed to glow in the light.
"You have a Galar Rapidash too."
"Oui, he's a more recent addition to my party. I have my Lord Philip to thank for him."
"Ohh, did he rescue him from a Galar who mistreated him?"
"Non, he killed a Galar knight in a skirmish earlier this year and offered the knight's Rapidash to me as a gift."
Serena and her Pokemon sweatdropped.
"Ahhh." Despite this, Rapidash seemed quite fond of Tori and nuzzled her head tenderly. Serena looked back at the paintings, which remained vibrant and oddly lifelike despite their age.
"Magnifique aren't they. These were painted back in the age of Charlemagne. The Legendary Pokemon of our Kingdom, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde." Serena lost herself to the wondrous depiction of the Blue Deer of Life, Red Bird of Destruction, and Green Beast of Order.
"Do you think they're real?" Serena asked, just then noticing how Tori longingly stroked her hand over Xerneas's painting.
"Oui, I do."
Serena saw all three legendary Pokemon kneeling before something or someone in the heavens above, Reduka. However, she also noticed a fourth legendary Pokemon, much smaller than the others, hidden between them with a somewhat childlike expression.
"Who is that?" Serena pointed out the fourth legendary Pokemon, which took Tori by surprise.
"Huh? Strange, I've never seen this one before." Tori, Serena, and their Pokemon looked closer at the painting. This Legendary Pokemon almost looked like a pinkish cat with a long, thin tail.
Diancie stared at the Legendary Pokemon and placed her hand against it.
"Diancie, could you know who that is?"
"Diancie."
Author's note
For those of you wondering, Serena's new hairstyle is the one she has in Journeys
The group is safe for now, but how safe is Calem?
Also Tori is an OC, and her creator says her voice would be done by Minami Takahashi from Food Wars
