AN: For anyone who's actually played Sakura Dungeon; and if you're one of those rare unicorns, please do leave a review, you'd notice that some things and items are changed. That's mainly to fit the story, or to make it more convenient for me. Also, since this isn't technically a game-dungeon, once Hanami clears a floor, no more monster girls would appear.

Anyways, enjoy!

Sakura Dungeon - 2

Consciousness came to Hanami slowly, and she groaned as she opened her eyes. Her head was aching, and her back still felt somewhat numb. Most definitely a result of her slamming her back against the wall.

She was back in the tavern it seemed, and the skies out the window had gone dark. She wasn't sure how long she'd been asleep for; there were no clocks for her to compare to. She sighed. She really needed to find an accurate source of time to sync her phone to.

She stood from the bed and gave her shoulders a quick roll. A tad numb, but not enough to imply that she'd been immobile for more than a day. That was good. Her stay in the tavern was currently timed after all.

Idly, she wondered how she was supposed to gain any Mana Shards to pay for her stay.

She shook her head. She could think over that later.

Free the Dungeon Lord [V]

Fully Explore the Sakura Dungeon [x]

She could safely assume she succeeded, which was good. It'd be rather unfortunate if the dungeon lord remained trapped after this entire ordeal. That next objective was as she'd expected, though she wondered what 'Fully Explore' meant according to the system. She hoped it'd be kind in its survey.

Suddenly, she heard someone knocking at the door, followed by a surge of magic. It felt subdued, fractured, as if it'd once been part of a greater whole.

She could guess who'd knocked, and she pulled her door open.

And as she guessed, the fox lady she'd just saved was standing by her doorstep, an easy, if rather tired smile on her lips. "Good evening, miss mage." Hanami smiled back, and the woman's smile grew lighter. "It's good to finally see my savior awake."

She huffed. "I'm fine. My back's a bit sore, but I'm fine." She stopped for a moment, before she continued. "And just call me Hanami."

"Hanami it is." She smiled. "Then do call me Yomi."

She hummed. Yomi, was it? It felt regal, powerful, yet playful in a way. It fit quite nicely for such a beautiful and voluptuous woman-

She grimaced. It seemed her mind was never getting out of the gutter in this world.

"May I enter?" Yomi asked. Hanami nodded easily, and she smiled as she entered her room. She moved to close the door, but by the time she turned, the door had already been closed and locked, and she found the woman sitting on her bed, grinning as she gently patted the spot beside her.

Hanami blinked. She hadn't even heard her move.

Yomi's grin grew, and she stifled a sigh as she moved to sit beside her. The woman stared at her curiously, before a foxy smile found its way on her face, and a sudden sinking feeling struck Hanami. Before she could move however, Yomi snaked a hand around her shoulder and pulled her closer, effectively attaching them to one another.

She studiously ignored the way those breasts pressed against her arm.

"I truly am glad you're awake." She began, subtly coiling her tail around Hanami's waist. "When I awoke and saw how hurt you were, I was quite terrified." Her foxy grin lowered to a small smile. "I wouldn't know what I'd do with myself if I caused my savior to never wake."

Hanami smiled softly. "I knew what I was getting into." She said, ignoring the pain that shot up her spine as she said so. "But I'm thankful for your concern."

Those were the wrong words to say it seemed, because the moment she did Yomi's foxy grin returned, and she giggled as she pulled her head down onto her chest. "Ah, what a serious girl you are!"

Hanami held back a sigh. This was her life, she supposed. And she certainly did not enjoy being squished up against these wonderful breasts.

After wriggling herself free; a herculean task indeed, she looked up to Yomi and asked, "So, what do you plan to do now?"

Yomi's smile fell. "Hmm, that's a tough question." She glanced out the window, her eyes uncertain. "Freeing my dungeon, I suppose. Although I find myself incapable of that." She turned back to her, her smile small and defeated. "The seals have sapped much of my strength, I'm afraid. There isn't much I can do."

Hanami hummed.

Fully Explore the Sakura Dungeon [x]

"I am here, you know?" She began. Yomi turned to her, intrigued, and Hanami let herself grin. "I came to this village to explore your dungeons. What am I to lose in helping you retake what's yours?" Which…wasn't a lie, she supposed, although it was definitely not the full story. Well, it wasn't as if she could say that she was an extradimensional mage that came from the beyond.

"Truly?" She asked softly. Hanami returned a resolute nod, and the woman laughed. "That's a relief!" She smiled, and teasingly whispered in her ears, "I was afraid you'd need a lot more…convincing."

Hanami didn't quite manage to hold back her shiver. Yomi's voice was silky, enticing, and a part of her yearned to hear more.

She swiftly stomped that side of her silent. "I'm glad." She couldn't quite keep her voice from trembling there, and the woman giggled.

"Oh? Is my savior flustered?"

Her eyes twitched. "No-"

The rest of her words were silenced when she found her face, once again, pressed into the valley of Yomi's breasts. Such was her life.

And no, she was not enjoying this. Don't even suggest otherwise.

What an interesting girl.

Yomi giggled softly as she watched her savior fire another accursed bolt at the poor training dummy. The magical target wobbled when the magic crashed into its head, but it remained otherwise unharmed. Which was expected. It was, after all, one of her many creations. It'd reflect poorly on her if something she made would break so easily.

Her smile fell. It had been hers once, but that time had passed. The seals that had entrapped her had sapped that strength she'd been so proud of. She was now no different than the many monsters she'd conscripted to guard her dungeon; a dungeon she now had lost as well.

She shook her head. There was no point in pessimism. She was now free, and Hanami had offered to aid her. That she knew was true, and that was enough.

She smiled. Hanami was her name. It was an odd name, far reminiscent of the of the eastern country she hailed from in those early years of her life. She was curious if the girl was tied to that old place in some way, though she kept herself quiet. The girl was a wanderer, but she said that she'd once hailed from a place called Japan.

A place that didn't exist. She didn't know what that implied for the girl.

Her magic was quite strange as well. The curses she flung was, admittedly, somewhat intimidating, but she'd offhandedly said that it was the only spell she knew. Which was surprising, really. The girl was a mage, was she not? Why would she only have a single spell?

And then she brought out a strange, bow-like mechanism, and her eyes went wide.

It was a magic weapon, much like the wooden bow the girl sold to Charlotte a few days ago. A weak one, but certainly magical.

But more than anything, she recognized that weapon. It was similar to the ballistae she remembered seeing mounted atop that eastern country's walls. The weapon the girl held was a relic of a weapon long past.

"It's called a crossbow," Hanami had told her, smiling slightly as she waved it around. "Made it from scraps and stuff."

An inventor, that was what the girl was.

And suddenly, it all made sense. Her expertise in magic despite her low number of spells, the crossbow she made. The girl was an inventor, a creator.

Admittedly, it didn't change much. It didn't change that her name was Hanami. It didn't change that she'd saved her life. It didn't change that she'd promised to help her retake her dungeons.

It didn't change that she wanted to make this girl hers.

She licked her lips. The girl was far too adorable. The way her eyes would drop low as she thought over something, the way her eyes lit up as she ate, the way her ears would turn bright red over her teasing, the way she smiled as she watched the night skies. They were all too cute.

And she'd been the one to save her life, risking her frail body against the foul magic that had kept her locked in that tomb.

She had helped her. She was important.

And in the end, she was a greedy fox. This girl was hers, and the world would sooner catch fire before she abandoned her savior.

Hanami silently glanced at Yomi and shivered. The smile she had was particularly predatory, and she had no desire to know what was going through her mind.

A new day had come, and Hanami was back in the first floor of the dungeons, now with Yomi standing by her side. Not that she needed much help to clear this first floor, but having the foxy woman by her side was comforting.

That wasn't what she was most interested in though.

[Capture (D)]

0% Mastery

A spell crafted by Yomi. Fires a bolt of mana that expands into a large seal, designed to halt the target's movement before sending them to designated location. Costs 150 Mana to use.

?

5 Pure Damage | Designated location: Sakura Prison

Spell Interval: 30 Seconds

She hadn't really expected the woman to teach her a spell before entering the dungeons, but she could understand why she did so. In the event where they'd face against a group of monsters, sending them back into Yomi's magical prison would allow them to free the monsters from their seals in a safe place.

She was also fairly sure that the so-called 'Sakura Prison' was a sex dungeon in disguise, but she'd rather not think too deeply about it.

"Wah…!" Her curse slammed against the Bunny they were facing, and just like before, her clothes took the brunt, stripping the monster girl naked.

Yomi was giggling, she noticed, and it was to her horror that she realized she was still staring at the naked bunnygirl. She quickly shook her head and broke the girl's seal. The Bunny looked up to her, confused, and Hanami smiled as she handed her another pair of clothes from her -Inventory-.

"Thank you, miss mage!" The girl said before she ran off back to the surface.

"You know you didn't need to give her clothes, right?" Yomi began casually.

"She's naked."

"Isabella would provide some for them." She continued, before she grinned. "Or was it because you couldn't stop staring, hmm?"

"It's for their good." Hanami said instead, feeling the heat rushing into her cheeks. Yomi simply giggled, and she sighed.

So they journeyed on, mapping out the dungeons and freeing any Bunnies they met along the way. She'd never really gone adventuring like this, but she could easily see why so many were so taken by it. The need to map out where they've gone, the obstacles they needed to overcome, the excitement upon finding buried treasures. They were all addictingly fun.

It was also a nice introduction as to why Yomi was the original dungeon master. Her power may've been greatly diminished, but her control over her mana was stunning. Her flames twisted and burnt playfully, and the spikes of ice she created glimmered like the stars above. She could easily imagine just how strong she could become when her powers finally returned.

That was for a future that was to come. For now, they were simply two adventurers heading into a dungeon ruled by a tyrant.

She was also pleasantly surprised to find that breaking the monster's seals also had the effect of creating some leftover Mana Shards for her to gather. Which was nice. She still needed them to pay for her stay after all.

Or, at least, until Yomi told her that her stay had been paid for completely. She'd sort of stared for a full second before she palmed herself in the face. She'd somehow forgotten to ask the foxy woman about that.

She could only sigh as Yomi laughed. Well, she still needed them to pay for items at Charlotte's store, so there was that at least.

Her system had detected her gains and offered to immediately stash the Mana Shards into her -Inventory-, which she immediately accepted. Collecting didn't take much time, but picking them up after every Bunny they faced got rather repetitive after the first three.

She was somewhat surprised Yomi didn't ask her any further about her -Inventory-, but perhaps it spells that simulated a spatial inventory wasn't as uncommon as she'd come to expect. That, or Yomi had one of her own. Which wouldn't surprise her really. She was a dungeon master after all.

It didn't take them long for her to map out the entire first floor, and with their spirits still high, they ventured down into the second floor.

And was met with more caverns. She silently sighed. She'd faced one too many cavernous areas already. Let her view something new for once.

Stuffing her annoyance back, she began her exploration of the second floor, letting Yomi spreadhead their journey as she focused on drawing a map of the new floor.

Then, a jolt ran through the floor, and a bolt of accursed magic formed over her palms, waiting to be let loose. Yomi seemed to have felt it as well, her tail standing straight as flames danced around her arms. They waited, spells loaded as the tremors they felt grew stronger. A second passed, then two,

And then a girl turned from a corner, her yellow eyes glaring as she ran headfirst towards them. They reacted immediately and flung their spells at her, their spells joining into one, and the girl could only cry out as the spells slammed into her stomach.

Just like the other monsters, what little she wore tore apart, leaving the girl lying on the floor, panting as she squirmed.

Oh, and her breasts were exposed too. What a nice view.

That aside, her skin was lightly tanned, decorated by white lines drawn over her stomach and shoulders. She had a pair of bovine ears over her head, and a matching tail hidden on her back.

"Ah, a Boar." Yomi smiled slightly. "They're just as strong and stubborn as their name implies."

Hanami blinked at the downed monster girl. A Boar, was it? That explained the tremors the girl caused. That strength was not to be underestimated. Had the Boar actually made impact against her, she would've been instantly downed, or perhaps worse-

Wait, no, she couldn't di-, meet her end in this world. The worst that could happen was her getting injured and losing her clothes.

That was a relief. Losing her clothes from getting injured was embarrassing, but that was better than the alternative.

It would certainly be nice if they had that strength for themselves. It'd give their team a much needed balancing. The Boar would be their defender, and she and Yomi would cast spells from a distance. Alas, that wasn't to be. They'd come into the dungeons to free these monster girls, after all.

She shook her head. Perhaps they'd find someone willing to aid them in their journey downwards.

Stepping forward, Hanami gently lifted the downed Boar and broke the seal on the back of the girl's neck. The Boar stared at her, her hand reaching to the back of her neck in confusion. "Your seal's broken." She said, and the Boar's eyes went wide. Hanami smiled. "You're free to go now."

The girl stared at her, before she rose and rubbed her head onto her chest. Hanami froze at the sudden contact, and remained there as the Boar stood up and left towards the stairs.

Yomi smiled, amused. "Boars show gratitude and affection by rubbing their heads on their target."

"And you couldn't have told me earlier?" Hanami panned back. Yomi simply grinned, and Hanami sighed. This foxy woman was going to be the death of her.

They continued on after that little scene.

It was minutes later that she realized she hadn't handed the Boar some clothes for her to wear, before she took a glance at her -Inventory- and winced. Giving them clothes was certainly the right thing to do, but she only had so many pairs of shirts and shorts stashed in her storage space. She'd need to purchase some more at Charlotte's store once they returned, and had the Mana Shards to spend.

Oh well.

Night had come, and Hanami took a breath of the chilly night air. It was another pleasant night, and Hanami was sitting out atop the grassy hills once more.

Their first delve into the dungeons had been quite successful. The first two floors were completely mapped out, many monster girls were freed from their positions, treasures were found, and they'd done it all without taking a single injury.

On the note of treasure however,

[[Fire Twist] Scroll]

A scroll that teaches the user the spell [Fire Twist]. Destroyed when consumed.

They'd found this scroll stashed in a random barrel placed in a random corner of the floor. She wasn't sure how it'd gotten there, and even Yomi had been perplexed by it. It was the fire spell Yomi had been using apparently, and the temptation to use it for herself surged.

She didn't though.

It'd be a waste, she reasoned. Using it would grant her [Fire Twist], sure, but it wouldn't benefit from [Cosmic Ingenuity]'s effects. That, and she still had [Ashen Lament] to rely on, and that spell had gotten her quite far already.

And she somewhat planned to hand it to someone else. If she found someone willing to venture down the dungeon with them that was.

That aside, something else had happened.

[Worn Ofuda (F*)]

100% Mastery

An old ofuda, made from ink and paper. It seems to occasionally glow in the night.

Enemies struck will have their defense reduced by 10% for 0.5 seconds

8 Piercing Holy Damage

Restoration Interval: 3 Seconds

Her [Worn Ofuda] had finally reached max mastery, and its utility had shot up tremendously. A defense reduction for half a second might not sound like much, but much like she'd done against that monster she faced, a conjoined attack using her ofudas and her crossbow had dealt some heavy damage, and this new effect would only compound that.

That all aside, there'd been something in her mind lately.

She separated from Yomi after another lovely dinner, and she'd gone back to that room Yomi had been sealed in. She hadn't looked too deeply at the time, but the chains Yomi had been stuck to had several interesting seals drawn on them. So she'd stuffed one into her inventory and quickly left, not wanting to stay in that room for too long.

And now, it was in her hand.

[Odd Broken Shackle]

A strange shackle that'd once held Yomi captive, but was later broken by Hanami. There were several strange seals drawn upon it, and an odd lingering energy coated it.

The system had called them strange, but her [Cosmic Ingenuity] had allowed her to easily decipher their design and purpose.

It was essentially a glorified magical pump, one that sucked Yomi's magical strength and moved them…somewhere. The destination wasn't all that clear really. The characters to designate the seal's targeted area were blotched out, chaotic, almost ameteur in their design. It was almost as if the creator had drawn the seals with only the barest of knowledge as to how they worked.

But that was fine. That wasn't what had interested her.

Rather, it was the characters themselves that she'd wanted to observe. From a casual glance, the characters written on the seals looked quite similar to early Arabic script, with some additional characters here and there. She looked over them, matched them with their corresponding words, and quickly got to work in deciphering each letter of the alphabet.

And in just hours time, she'd cracked the entire thing. It wasn't as difficult as she'd expected. Then again, not every linguist had [Cosmic Ingenuity] to aid them, so her view was a tad biased.

She'd been right in her initial observations. The characters were closely related to early Arabic script, with several additional cyrillic letters added in. The language worked similarly to the Arabic she knew as well, each letter capable of combining with one another to generate entirely different meanings.

Now that her toolset was filled, it was time for some magic to happen.

[Hematemesis (C)]

0% Mastery

A spell -crafted by Hanami- using the Kumohane Script. Causes a geyser of accursed blood to erupt from below the target at a cost of 100 Mana.

The accursed blood will stick to the target upon contact, lasting 15 seconds.

Those inflicted with accursed blood will move 20% slower.

?

372 (124) Curse Damage

Spell Interval: 20 Seconds

It was, by all accounts, overkill. Her [Ashen Lament] dealt with Bunnies and Boars fairly easily already. Slamming a spell that dealt over seven times that damage would immediately knock those poor monster girls unconscious.

That wasn't what she'd made this for of course. This was an advanced spell, to be used against monsters that would truly pose a challenge. The high damage, coupled with the slowing effect would provide her and Yomi a larger margin of error to fall back on.

She wasn't quite sure why she'd stuck with Curse Damage. It fit the current theme she was running, she supposed.

She should head back now. She wouldn't be sleeping if she stayed up any further.

Days passed on peacefully, each day spent delving into the dungeons and exploring the twisting maze Yomi had once made her home. They'd wake, eat breakfast, and immediately dive back into the Sakura Dungeon. Hours would fly by, and they'd return once daylight was no more. A lively dinner would follow, and Hanami would sneak in a couple hours of solitary magic training out on the grassy plains before she went to bed.

The third floor wasn't filled with more caverns, thankfully. The rocky walls had instead been replaced by long hallways made from bricks of stone, similar to the hallways one would find in castles. They'd also found the second teleportation array in a room close to the stairs they came from, allowing easier access down to the dungeon.

And it was then that the difficulty truly spiked.

The maze-like structure of the previous two floors expanded into a giant maze, adorned with traps and twisting hallways. She avoided most of them, [Cosmic Ingenuity] was a cheat after all, but they were still a hindrance they needed to face.

The number of monsters they faced exploded in numbers. Singular encounters evolved into large groups they needed to face all at once. Bunnies and Boars were easy on their own, but combined, they became rather terrifying. And that wasn't even mentioning the new additions to the enemy roster.

Slimes. They were essentially just naked girls with chunks of slime covering their body, and yet they could somehow fit through little gaps, much like an actual slime can, despite having a physical body. She'd curiously asked Yomi how that worked, and the woman had shrugged. They were slow, but they could soak up damage with ease, and the poisonous slime she threw their way was not to be underestimated.

She had the ple-, displeasure of seeing Yomi being slathered by slime and having her clothes melt away. She certainly did not stare, and that was certainly not why she herself got slathered by slime and stripped naked.

It did show her something interesting however. Her Constitution was described as her general health by the system, but that rule seemed to have been twisted by this world's karmic rule. After being stripped her Constitution had dropped to 50, which meant that her clothes counted as half of her Constitution.

And as dyi-, that isn't a thing in this world, she'd be knocked out if she took 50 points of damage.

That aside,

Cats. Playful catgirls, wearing what was basically a fetish maid dress, and with a love of any kind of treasure. Their claws were sharp, and the blasts of dust they sent were annoying, but it was their reflexes that were truly frightening. They were shadow warriors that danced past her attacks, and the effect was compounded when she fought against an army of monster girls.

She'd jokingly commented that Yomi must've really wanted to stop anyone from venturing further down, but the foxy woman had told her that she'd never enlisted so many monster girls in a single floor, not even for levels far lower than this.

The spike in difficulty had led to her losing many school uniforms, something that was easily remedied by Isabella fixing them when they came back to the surface. The woman was apparently a skilled seamstress as well, and was the one to knit many of the clothes Yomi once had.

The woman was extremely happy to spend some time working with the 'strange clothes' she'd been wearing for quite a while now, and had even made a pair for Yomi to wear.

And dear lord did Yomi look good wearing a school uniform. Those thighs of hers are godly-

Though their progress had considerably slowed, Hanami found that she didn't mind. They were still stuck on the third floor, but the treasures they found and the monster girls they fought far made up for it.

[Ashen Lament (E*)]

100% Mastery

A spell crafted by the ancient keeper. Fires bolts of malice at a cost of 10 Mana.

Ashen bolts will home in on the target for the first 3 seconds

80 (20) Curse Damage

Spell Interval: 6 Seconds

The many monsters they had to face forced Hanami to fire her [Ashen Lament] like tomorrow wasn't coming, and the results were clear. The increased damage was nice, but that homing feature her cursed bolts now had was the true star. She could now sling her spells even without looking, and the system would guide her attacks. It was truly wonderful.

[Healing Potion]

Restores 25% of Constitution when consumed. Doesn't restore broken clothes.

A simple, but useful find. More than anything however, it made her wonder if she could find some books detailing how alchemy worked in this world. Being able to create her own potions would help them greatly in the dungeons.

[Small Endurance Seed]

Increases progress for Endurance by 25% when consumed. Only works if the consumer's Endurance is Rank E or below.

A surprising find. It looked like an ordinary seed at first glance, looking rather similar to a sunflower seed, but she could feel quite the sum of mana swirling inside the little thing. She immediately ate it after Yomi told her that it was safe, and was delighted as she watched her Endurance rise.

[Warp Stone]

Creates a temporary teleportation array back to the surface when broken.

A deceptively simple stone that contained a mystical array inside it, set to expand the moment its outer shell is torn open. Yomi had casually told her that she'd been the one to design stones such as this, and her admiration for the woman rose.

And then,

[Bikini (E)]

A revealing bikini, created by Yomi and restored by Isabella. Weaved from magical fabric, it offers the wearer comfort and protection, despite seeming otherwise.

When worn, increases movement by 5% and defense by 12

This. Just, this.

They found scraps of magical fabric lying in a random chest locked at one of the corners of the floor. Hanami didn't know what it was, and the system provided no explanations, but Yomi had smiled brightly the moment she laid her eyes upon it.

The moment they returned to the surface, she'd shown the scraps to Isabella, and the woman had rushed to the backrooms. Hours later, she returned, and she carried with her two sets of swimsuits, one green, the other pink.

Yomi had immediately worn it, and Hanami nearly blacked out when the woman began stripping in the middle of the tavern.

Hanami wasn't so sure, but after some coaxing from Yomi, she'd gone up to her room and changed her clothes in private. She'd shown it to the foxy woman for a brief moment before rushing back to her room, cheeks burning as she silently screamed. She huffed, moved her hands to her back,

And stopped. The moment she tried to take her swimsuit off, her body froze, and a sense of disgust had overtaken her. Isabella had given this to her, and she'd just worn this after all. Why should she take it off?

That was the next karmic rule she discovered, and Hanami could only sigh.

It didn't help that the bikini seemed to…fill her head with ideas. She found herself wanting to show herself to Yomi, and the sense of shame she initially had swiftly burnt away the longer she wore it. By the next day, she found herself confidently walking down the village with only the barest of skin covered.

But at least she could see Yomi breasts all the-

Nope.

That aside, finally,

[Magic (C)]

19%

Magical Damage: 400% | Mana Regeneration: 24 Mana/Minute

Progress Multiplier: x14

Her Magic had ranked up again, and her magic had grown even stronger. Her [Ashen Lament] could take out most monster girls with a single shot, with the Slime being the sole exception to that.

Further progress had come slowly though, and that was understandable. Her Magic was C Rank, while [Ashen Lament] was E Rank. Even that progress multiplier could only do so much.

Using [Hematemesis] was now the only way to push that percentage forward. It wasn't quite a spell she could easily use in the dungeons without raising some eyebrows. She was mainly using it during her solitary training sessions, but with how things were going, she doubted that'd stay the same.

Not that she was afraid of showing it. Certainly not. She knew Yomi wouldn't care, and since kil-, that wasn't possible, the taboo against blood-based magic most likely didn't exist. Or if it did, it'd be a much smaller offense.

Perhaps she was just saving it for a later date. She didn't really know.

It's odd really. Her life had changed so much, yet it also felt as if nothing had changed at all. The A.I.M. system was aiding her, and [Cosmic Ingenuity] gave her intelligence, but there was something more here. Despite her initial fears, despite her abrupt beginnings, it felt as if she'd been waiting for this ever since she knew how to think.

Was this what people called 'finding their life's calling'?

Her life had been mundane. She'd just been a normal student at Kuoh Academy, going through each day, spending the rest of her days in boredom. She was just a normal girl.

Why had she been chosen? Why her?

She would never know, she supposed. Nor did it matter.

In the end, she'd been chosen as the next user of the system. In the end, she'd gone through burning caverns and a zombie-filled town. In the end, she'd slain a human monster and had given her promise. In the end, she'd discovered the ability to travel to different worlds, and had immediately jumped in.

Whether it was fate or destiny or pure luck didn't matter. She was who she was, and what was hers was hers.

And if this life of hers was a game, then she'd be a poor player if she didn't do everything she could to break the balance, right?
