The next morning, after moving in with Freddy, Ayla headed over towards the Atrium, going to the daycare. She couldn't wait to see the sun animatronic. She rode the escalators down, heading towards the giant doors to the play area. She wanted to surprise him, instead of taking the slide down, and crashing into the ball pits. It would make too much noise. Just as Ayla stepped inside, closing the door behind her. She heard a loud angry deep voice that sounded glitchy and garbled.
"RULE BREAKER! RULE BREAKER! You're going in time out!" Her eyes widened in surprise seeing that it was Sun. He was carrying a small boy, who was wailing, under his arm, heading towards the time out area.
Sun placed the child, who was still shivering in fear from Sun's outburst, and he made them sit on the stool, facing the wall. As he turned around, Sun paused when he saw Ayla, who was still surprised after witnessing the event, and beamed, happy tone her.
"Hey, new friend!" He skipped over to her and picked Ayla up, hugging her, as he was spinning her around. "You actually came!"
"Hey, Sunny," Ayla smiled, little dizzy. "What do you mean that I actually came? Of course, I did! I wanted to see you!" Sun stopped spinning and stared at her for a moment, surprised. He placed her back down on the floor. She wanted to see him?! That was a first. Sun could feel himself starting to heat up again. Another malfunction? He realized that she was the cause of this. But, why did she make him feel this way?
"So, what happened?" He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Ayla say something, but didn't catch it.
"What?"
"The boy? What happened? What did he do?" Ayla asked again.
"He was playing a little too rough with the others. I warned him not to do it again. But, he didn't listen and started to have a tantrum and throwing stuff."
"Oh, I see," Ayla hummed. "It sounds like another busy day. Do you need some help, again?"
"Yes, most definitely!" Sun exclaimed, happily. Anything to spend more time with her! "What do you want to do?!"
"How about that fizzy faz, is that what it's called? I'd like to try some of it." Ayla suggested.
"That's wonderful! Which one do you like? There's orange, lemonade, blue-razzberry, Strawberry-" Sun continued on listing.
"I'll try blue-razzberry." Ayla told him.
"Okay, I'll to get one for you!" Sun smiled. "Wait here!" He hooked a rope onto his back and pulled himself up into his balcony stepping into his room. Ayla wondered what was up there until he came back down with a blue can in his hand and handed it to her. "Here you go!"
She thanked him and took a sip. "It's definitely fizzy that's for sure," She laughed. "It's really good!"
"I'm glad you'd like it!" Sun replied. As the two talked to each other, Sun and Ayla didn't notice that they also had a small group of kids that were watching them.
"Hey lady!" One of them called out. Sun and Ayla stopped and both turned their heads, seeing that they had an audience. Ayla smiled.
"Yes?"
"Are you and Mr. Sun married?" A little girl asked this time. Ayla spit out her drink and her eyes widen as did sun's. "Is that why we see you together all of the time?" Ayla heard whirring machinery sounds coming from Sun. Her eyes glanced over to see him staring at her before darting back over towards the group of children.
"Uh, we're just friends!" Ayla quickly replied, smiling nervously.
"You two are awfully close to each other than being "just" friends." One boy frowned as he commented, not believing her. Ayla couldn't believe this. She and Sun were being bullied by a bunch of kids! They're kids for crying out loud!
"How about we play a game?!" Sun interrupted, stepping over towards them.
"Let's play house!" A girl shouted.
"Yeah! Sun can be the daddy and Ayla you can be the mommy!" Another one chimed in, smiling. Ayla shifted a little, uncomfortable.
"I don't know how to be a mom, I never had one," She said. Besides, I would be a terrible parent."
"We'll help! Our mommy's and daddy's hug and kiss each other!" One pitched in. Ayla blinked.
"What?"
"Kiss Sunny!" A girl beamed, pointing at Sun, who looked just as uncomfortable as her.
"Kiss him!" Another exclaimed, excitedly. Ayla's eyes darted over to Sun who was still standing where he stood, not sure of to do. She felt her heart pounding faster and faster, as if time was slowing down. She wanted to, but not with these kids around! She smiled sheepishly and made a nervous laugh.
"Aw, gee, would you look at the time. I've got to get to work," Ayla said, pretending to look at her watch, and turned around heading towards the door. Sun watched as she did as if he was rusted in his spot. He didn't want her to go! Move! Tell her not to go!
"That's what you said yesterday! Is that all you ever do?" One boy questioned, disappointed.
"Ever played a game of life?" Ayla replied back. "It's like that, except you lose every time."
"Can't you stay just a little longer?" Sun insisted, trying to persuade her not to go just as she placed her hand on the door knob. "Please?"
"I'm sorry," Ayla murmured, not looking at him. "It's too much for me right now." She opened the door, closing behind her. The daycare went silent as the kids stopped playing, staring at the Sun animatronic made no move or sound. The only sound that was heard was the slow ticking that was coming from him. He wanted to go after her. But, that would be against the rules. He wasn't allowed to step foot outside of the daycare. It wasn't fair! A child walked over to him, hesitantly, scared to see him so quiet.
"Mr. Sun, are you okay?"
"Why did you have to go and say that?!" Sun cried. "She's probably never going to come back!"
