Ayla was heading into the Atrium as she rode the elevator down. As she got off, she was startled by a map bot who came from out of nowhere. It held a map, pressing it right in front of her face.
"Take a map. Take a map." the bot repeated over and over again, still holding the map. Ayla frowned and stepped to the side, walking away from it, annoyed. However, as she was walking, Ayla turned her head and saw the bot, following behind her.
"I'm not interested!" she told the robot as she began to pick up her pace, walking faster. "I already have one!" The robot ignored her as if it didn't hear what she had said and continued to pursue her, still holding the map. It was definitely persistent she give it that!
Ayla ran down the escalator until she reached the bottom of the Atrium. She looked back up to see the bot had stopped at the top of the floor, looking down at her.
"Better luck next time!" Ayla said as she waved goodbye to it, walking away. As she turned her head, Ayla slammed her face against something hard, bumping into their back. She looked up and saw that it was Roxy, who was looking down at her.
"Roxy? What are you doing out, girl?"Ayla questioned her as she got up from the floor. "You should be back in your room, recharging." Roxy stared down at her as if she was looking right through her. Her eyes were red and she bared her fangs at Ayla, who backed away from her.
"Intruder!" Roxy growled. Ayla's eyes widened, giving the wolf animatronic a confused look.
"Intruder? Roxy, what are you talking about?-" She screamed and quickly jumped out of the way as Roxy lunged at her. Roxy glared and turned around to see Ayla running away from her.
"Come back, coward!" Roxy shouted, angrily, and began to chase after her. "Quit running away!"
Ayla quickly ducked behind a pillar, hiding behind it. She heard Roxy's footsteps running past, still in pursuit. Ayla peeked out from the corner of the pillar to see the animatronic far away on the other side of the room. She sighed, and tried to catch her breath until she heard footsteps coming closer, stopping in front of her. Ayla slowly looked up and saw Chica standing in front of her covered in garbage and a dead fish hanging down from her mouth.
"Chica! It's good to see you!" Ayla smiled in relief to see a familiar face. "Been digging through the garbage again?"
Chica dropped the fish as it slid from her mouth, landing on the floor and Ayla's feet. She had a strange look in her eyes as she stared back at Ayla. "Who wants candy?!"
Ayla backed away from her, giving her a weird look. Chica began to approach her, slowly, arms stretched out. "Uh, Chica, a-are you alright?"Ayla asked her concerned. "You're acting strange and why are you looking at me like that..." She paused before swallowing nervously. Her eyes widen in realization. "just like Roxy."
"Employees only!" Chica screeched, now bolting directly at her with thundering footsteps. "This area is off limits!"
Ayla ran from her heading to the other side of the Atrium. "Chica, you know me! I work here!" she cried out, trying to get the animatronic to stop chasing her.
"Ayla, come back!" Chica cried out in a eerie sing songy voice.
Ayla quickly ducked and hid into a vendor cart. "What's going on? Everyone's acting crazy!" She heard Chica's footsteps getting closer, feeling the cart shake. "Don't find me. Don't find me." Ayla muttered to herself, silently praying. She heard the footsteps retreating and sighed in relief. Slowly, Ayla lifted up the cart's hood, looking outside. She saw Chica not to far off, looking inside of another cart. Quietly, Ayla lifted the lid up and stepped out of the cart. She slipped away hoping that Chica wouldn't notice her.
She heard growling coming from her side and turned to her head to see Monty sprinting towards her. She ran and Monty continued to chase her.
"Monty, buddy, no hard feelings, right?" Ayla called out, hoping that he would stop. "We're friends!"
Monty let out a furious roar, ignoring her. He jumped in the air, lunging at Ayla. Ayla screamed and dodged him, jumping out of the way.
"No! Bad robot!" Ayla cried out.
She needed to hide! She needed to find a safe place to think. Sun. The Daycare! She needed to get here! He can help!
Ayla quickly ran over towards Foxy's Pirate's Cove, opening the sliding door and rolled underneath of it. She quickly slid it back down, seeing Monty running towards her, locking it in place. She stepped back, hearing Monty pounding on it on the other side. It wasn't going to hold him for long.
Ayla quickly headed towards the other entrance to the daycare and tried to lift it up. She laughed in relief, seeing that it wasn't locked and slid it up, locking the door behind her.
She ran down the hallway until she was in the daycare room. Ayla ran up to the giant doors, frantically pounding on it.
"Sunny! Let me in!" She cried out. She heard his footsteps on the other side. "Ayla?"
Suddenly, Ayla jumped when there was a loud bang followed by the screech of metal as Monty sliced open the doors from above the daycare. Her eyes widen as she saw Chica coming in, locking her eyes on her. She bolted, running down the stairs, advancing towards her. She was getting closer, and closer. Ayla turned quickly pounded on the door. "SUNNY, HURRY UP AND LET ME IN!"
The doors to the daycare finally opened and Ayla saw Sun on the other side, looking at her confused and worried.
"Ayla? What's wrong?" She quickly ran in pushing him inside, closing the door behind her, locking it.
"You got to hide me!" She pleaded. "They're after me!"
"Who's after you?" Sun asked, his head turned side to side even more confused. The two jumped as they heard loud banging on the daycare doors.
"I know you're in there open the door!" Chica called out. "I need to talk to you, Ayla!"
"You got to hide me, please!" Ayla said, quickly looked back to Sun. Sun scooped her up and carried her back up to his balcony to his room. He placed her in the other room through the tunnel connecting to his.
"You'll be safe up here!" Sun said. "Just sit tight and I'll try to get them to leave." Ayla nodded.
"Be careful. They are not acting like themselves." she warned him. Sun turned and head back outside, jumping into the ball pits then hopped over to the doors. He opened them and Monty busted inside along with Chica and Roxy who came in as well.
"WHERE IS SHE?! I KNOW THAT SHE CAME IN HERE!" Monty demanded.
"Who?" Sun asked, staring at the three Glamrocks.
"Don't play dumb! You know who I am talking about! Ayla! Chica said she saw her run in here!" the gator animatronic shouted.
"It's true! I did!" Chica added.
"Why are you after her? Did she do something to upset you guys?" Sun asked them, backing up from them as they began to look around the daycare. It took every bolt and wire in Sun's body not to shout at them watching the three animatronics search the daycare. Sun saw that they were in a frenzied state that even was terrified that they would turn on him. He tried to keep himself from shaking. The three animatronics were flipping over pillows tossing and scattering them all over, toppling over the stacked tin drums. His fans began to speed faster nervously as he saw Roxy near the ball pits searching around.
"I'm going to have to ask you to leave! You're making a mess!" Sun shouted now visibly annoyed and angry. "You're going to be banned from the daycare!"
"She's trespassing after hours!" Roxy said.
"We just want to have a talk with her!" Chica replied. Sun had to get them out! They were creating too much of a mess.
"You just missed her! She crawled back up the slide and headed back to the Atrium!" He told the three animatronics.
"Why didn't you tell us that before?!" Roxy growled.
"I-I just remembered! If you hurry, you'll be able to get to her!" Sun said, nervously, wanting them to leave. The three animatronics stared at him for a minute before Roxy and Chica headed out, walking outside of the daycare. As the two headed up the stairs, Monty was still at the doors looking down at Sun. He narrowed his eyes at him, glaring at him, threateningly.
"If I find out that you're hiding her and she's in here, glitch." Sun flinched at Monty's threat but continued to stare him down. "I will tell Vanessa and she will have you decommissioned. I will personally do it myself, ripping you apart bit by bit until there's nothing but your endo."
"As I told you before, she is not here!" Sun told him, pushing him out. "Y-You better go before you miss her!"
"Monty, come on!" Roxy called out to him.
As Monty stepped outside, Sun slammed the doors behind him and waited. He heard Monty's footsteps leave until it was silent. He felt relief wash over him, hearing that they were gone. Sun turned back and started to pick up the mess that the Glamrocks made, cleaning it up until he was finished. Then he lifted himself back up onto the balcony, walking inside of his room.
"It's safe to come out!" Sun called out to Ayla.
She crawled back out, climbing out through the tunnel and ran over to him, hugging him. He returned the hug, hugging her tightly in his arms, scared to let her go. Sun pulled Ayla down as the two sat down on the pile of blankets. The two stayed that way for awhile before they pulled away.
"Are you okay?" Ayla asked him.
"Am I okay? What about you? Why were the other three Glamrocks after you?! What did you do to them to make so angry!?" Sun questioned, demanding an answer from her. Ayla stammered and looked down, thinking.
"I-I don't know! First, Freddy malfunctioning from tonight's hack-" Sun's eyes widened and his head turned quickly.
"The PizzaPlex was hacked?! By who?!"
"A kid randomly showing up inside of the PizzaPlex-" she continued to murmur to herself, thinking.
"A child was also left behind?!" Sun exclaimed. "Ayla, you're not making any sense! Talk to me!"
"And now the others are acting strangely as well? Just like..." Ayla's gasped and her eyes widened in realization.
"Just like who?!" Sun shouted, a little annoyed.
"Just like Moon!" Ayla answered turning to him. Sun's eyes widened as she continued to explain. "The PizzaPlex was hacked by the same virus that Moon has and the Glamrocks were affected by it. If we can track it down..."
"If we can find the source then we can fix them! We can fix Moon!" Sun and her both said at the same time.
"I can't go out there by myself without some help. Will you help me, Sunny?" Ayla asked him. Sun nodded his head before he paused for a second.
"What's wrong?" Ayla asked him.
"I would if I could! I would do anything to be by your side! But, my programming won't allow it. I am strictly confined to the daycare. Only Moon had access to leave at night for patrols. He used to be security in case of break ins or protecting the children." he explained to her. Ayla hummed to herself, looking down before looking back at Sun again.
"There is something that I can do." She told him before she paused and continued. "It will cost me this job if I'm caught."
"What are you going to do?" Sun asked, wondering what she meant.
"I'm going to tamper with your coding so that you can roam freely outside of the Daycare." she told him. Sun's eyes widen.
"But, what bout the lights? It's dark out there, isn't it?" He said, shaking his head, nervously. "I can't risk Moon coming out!"
"You can borrow my flashlight. It should be enough to keep Moon at bay." Ayla told him. "But, I won't do this without your permission. This is your choice, Sunny."
Sun stared at her, silently thinking to himself. His choice? Huh, he never had to think for himself before. Usually Moon did the thinking and decisions for him or the other employees ordered and told him what to do. His programming would interfere, preventing what he wanted to do as well. It was infuriating! His and Moon's only purpose was to take care of children.
This was his chance! He can be by Ayla's side always! Sun looked back at her and quickly nodded his head.
"Do it! If I can be with you and this is the only way. I'll do anything so that you won't leave me alone again!" he happily told her. Ayla smiled and pulled out her laptop, placing it down.
"Let's get to work!" She connected the cord to Sun and started going through his hard drive, overwriting his coding, that prevented him from leaving. It took a few minutes until she was finally finished and closed the laptop, unhooking the wire from Sun. "Okay, that should do it. Does anything feel off? Let me know if it does."
"Everything's functioning like it should!" Sun said, happily.
"That's good to hear. Shall we get going?" Ayla smiled.
"Of course! But, can you give me a minute? This is still new to me." Sun told her.
"Sure, I'll be waiting outside the doors." she told him.
Sun lowered Ayla back down into the daycare area and she headed outside through the doors to wait for him. While she waited, Ayla was holding her flashlight in her hand. Then she felt a hand slammed on her mouth forcing something into it, making her swallow it. It felt round and tasted like blueberries and she felt it slowly slide down her throat. Her eyes widen and she fought trying to shove the person off of her. As she turned around, she saw red eyes staring back into hers. Ayla stepped back seeing that it was a white female humanoid rabbit, that looked like a suit, wearing a light blue bow, with pink padding on her hands and patched stitching on her legs.
"Good night." the rabbit laughed, waving her fingers.
Ayla felt her eyes began to feel heavy, feeling herself growing tired. Why was she so sleepy? What did this rabbit give her?! She saw a wrapper lying on the floor near the bunny's feet. It was dark blue with a moon symbol on it. It was a Moondrop! Moon's candy! Ayla's eyes widen as she tried to fight the candy's drug effect.
Her vision began to fade and she felt her legs starting to wobble before giving away. The flashlight slipped from her hand and she fell into the bunny's arms, falling asleep.
Minutes later, Sun was at the door before he paused for a second. He couldn't believe it himself as he didn't see any warnings on his screen saying that he was out of bounds. He really was free. Free to be able to roam where ever he wanted! As he came out opening the door, Sun felt himself slowly panicking as he saw that it was dark out. He looked around for Ayla and froze as he saw that she was not there.
"Ayla? Where are you?" Sun called out, frantically looking around. She wouldn't leave him, would she? No! No! She wouldn't lie to him! She said that she would be right outside! Where did she go?
He felt his foot tap against something and looked down to see Ayla's flashlight. He picked it up and turned it on shining on his face.
"Ayla! Where are you?!" he called out again. Sun heard a noise above, that sounded like someone cackling, and looked up the stairs. He watched in confusion seeing Ayla floating in the air. "Ayla?" he murmured, still confused. He tried to process what he was seeing. Humans can't float can they? No, they can't. He quietly followed after her, trying not to get close. It looked like she was being carried by something or someone.
But, who? There was nobody there, just her. Why couldn't he see them? Whoever it was they were interfering with his vision. His eyes widened. Could this be the hacker that Ayla mentioned?! It has to be! Sun saw that they were almost at the entrance door to the daycare and quickly followed after them.
He couldn't let them escape! Especially, if they got Ayla!
He can not lose her!
