Mangle crawled through the vents to follow Vanessa and Gregory on her rescue mission for the child, making sure to snack on a DJ Music Man toy when it fell on top of her head and after it attacked her thinking she was Gregory, leaving it's scattered pieces in her wake as she pressed onward, using the child's trouble pleas for the security guard to let him go and her telling him to shut up and that she was tired of his shenanigans, tipping the animatronic off that something was up with this woman and her attitude, giving credence to what Gregory told her in the previous chapter.
" Maybe Vanessa and Vanny are one and the same...but what would she want with Gregory? I gotta save him before she does something to him...Hey, this is like a reverse fairy tale, with the princess saving the prince from his dungeon by the evil witch...not that I'm a princess and Gregory is a prince...he's a little bit cute though...no Mangle, stay focused here! " She slapped herself for getting distracted with her own thoughts and blushing. continuing her way through, she arrived at a vent hatch to see Vanessa bounding Gregory's mouth shut and tying his arms and legs to a sturdy chair and proceeded to take all his gear and Faz Watch from him and tossed it all into a pink and green duffle bag and placing it on her shoulder.
" Now Gregory you will stay here until I decide what I'm going to do with you...now be a good little boy." Vanessa instructed as she left the security office with all of Gregory's belongings, leaving him defenseless and alone and knowing who Vanessa's alter ego is, in the paws of Vanny and her sadistic little game she's been playing with him. the boy watching her leave for bit too longer than he meant to as a blush bloomed on his cheeks.
" Hey pervert, up here! " Mangle called out to him from her hiding spot as she popped a vent cover off its screws and crawled out like a spider. " I hate to interrupt your first boner crush, but I'm here to save you. "
" Abmfmm THmmmeh!" Gregory said through his gag. " Gefffh Mefh Owahere!"
" Looks like your crush doesn't like you all that much. " Mangle observed as she untied Gregory, who grumbled angerly at the spider fox's teasing. " Par for the course for human relationships, I suppose. "
" Don't make me vomit, Mangle...she's too old for me. " He gestured by sticking his tongue out in mock gagging. " Girls are so gross."
" And yet you're surrounded by them...tough break kid. " Mangle chuckled. " Some guys and gals would consider themselves lucky in your position. "
" Oh no, I'm not even going to ask what your mindset is, let just get out-Owwww!" Gregory suddenly cried out in pain as he clutched his head as it started throbbing and ringing in his ears, signaling that Vanny was nearby and ready to strike.
" Whoa, you okay Gregory? " Mangle responded by grabbing the boy in her hands and started to make her way back up the vents when Vanny shoved the door open and tased the fox to release the boy, sending them slamming into the ground and causing them both to cry out in pain.
" Nuh nuh nuh...no escaping Gregory...now let's have some fun! " Vanny giggled as she wrapped her hands around the boy's neck, pressing it slowly to choke him to death. " I told you to stay put and you didn't listen...such a naughty boy. " lowering her body on top of him, she released one of her hands from his neck and grabbed his mouth with one hand and kissed him. " I'm going to enjoy watching you die..."
Not having any of this, Mangle lunged herself at Vanny and started biting her head as the rabbit struggled to get her off of her while Gregory coughed and gasped for air as he slowly made his way to the door out of the security room, stumbling around as his head pounded in a migraine, using the wall by the stairs to balance himself as he ascended up as he blocked out the loud commotion in the security room while making his way around Faz Pad and avoiding the patrolling Staff Bot in the restaurant, pushing the main doors open and leaning on the balcony to catch his breath for a moment.
" I hope Mangle is okay.." He hoped. only for an irate Vanessa, still wearing her Vanny suit sans the mask, to answer that thought by throwing Mangle's decapitated head at his feet and charging straight for him, the child dodging her knife slashing, grabbing the fox's head and bolting to the elevators, frantically smashing the button for one of them to open up before the crazed woman does him in. As if someone divine heard his calls for help, the doors opened quickly and he rushed inside as Vanessa tackled him to the floor, trying her hardest to stab him in the chest and him kicking her in the face and using Mangle's severed head as a makeshift boxing glove and punching her repeatedly and pushing her in her dazed state out of the door way so that they closed on her. Breathing heavily and resting on the wall of the elevator as it descended up to the Atrium, hoping Vanessa wasn't waiting for him on the other side when he steps out.
Clutching Mangle's head close to him Gregory looked deep into her eyes. " Don't worry Mangle, I can fix you good as new I promise. I just got to get to Parts and Service before anyone snatches me. " he said as he cradled the head in his arms as regret formed for not saving her from being destroyed by Vanny as tears started to fall.
" Well, that's mighty kind of you, Gregory! " She suddenly spoke. scaring the beejesus out of Gregory. " Kid, calm down. I'm used to being taken apart by now..."
" *breathing heavily* Don't ever do that again! " Gregory shouted with a glare. " I thought I lost you! "
" I thought the same for you too..." Mangle responded. " Nice upper cut back there, you sure know how to improvise to stay alive. "
" I'm used to it by this point. " Gregory shrugged. " I'm glad you're okay, Mangle. "
" Why thank you, Gregory. I wasn't just going to let that bitch kill you like that, it's against my moral code. "Mangle said a matter a factly. " It's not my first rodeo, you know? I'm used to saving kids from scary adults, but that was long before you were born. "
" I'm guessing that Freddy wasn't the only decent animatronic around." Gregory figured. " I just wish the other Glamrocks were as well.."
" We'll find a way to fix them, don't worry. " Mangle assured him. a moment of silence fell as the elevator doors opened and Gregory and her head rushed down the escalators and onto the main floor in front of the main stage while making sure to avoid, Glamrock Chica, Montgomery Gator and Roxanne Wolf to get to the stage and press the button to get to Parts and Service, only to immediately quicken the pace as all three of them spotted him and chased Gregory and Mangle as they made their way to the stage, pressed the button and the lift carried the boy and his fox head down as he waved bye bye and gave them the finger.
"Whew...that was a close-" Gregory started to say when three loud slamming noises interrupted his moment of relief as he turned around to see that Roxy, Chica and Monty staring him down and slowly advanced towards him.
" " You're gonna wish you were born with deer hooves for hands, because when I get a hold of you, I'm going to ram it up your ass, One Broken Finger At A Time!" Roxanne Wolf threatened with a growling sneer.
" You're going to get pummeled kid...so you better run rabbit run.." Montgomery Gator threatened as he mashed his fists together.
" I'm going to make you my little bitch! " Glamrock Chica said, much to the confusion of her bandmates who stared at her with disgusted looks on their faces. " What? he's kind of cute! '
" He's a child you retard! " Roxanne pointed out.
" Hey, that word's offensive! " Chica reminded her.
" Who gives a shit? let's just kill him! " Monty growled as he rolled his eyes at the two women arguing. " I'm tired of dealing with him "
Lucky for Gregory, the lift ended it's journey down and he and Mangle made haste to Parts and Service with the Glamrocks in hot pursuit as he made it through the double doors and quickly attempted to block them up to prevent them from getting inside with him, moving on to the protective cylinder when the doors blew off their hinges curtesy of their combined teamwork as they saw Gregory and Mangle duck inside the cylinder and quickly ran up to it.
" Stupid stupid kid...you think you can hide from us in there? we know how to work the service computer, Mr Dumbass! " Roxanne taunted. " You're mince meat kid! "
" Wow, they're certainly angry with you, Gregory. " Mangle observed. " Especially Roxanne Wolf...reminds me alot of Foxy in a way. "
" Mangle, now's not the time for reminiscing, they're going to kill me! " Gregory pointed out as he held on to Mangle's head as the Glamrocks entered the protective cylinder as they relished in the fact that they had the boy cornered and the only exit blocked off to prevent him from escaping. " Freddy...please help us.." he prayed to no avail as Roxanne grabbed him by the neck and shoved him against the glass as Monty and Chica surrounded him.
" So...who wants first dibs on the runt? "
