Hey guys! Sorry this story is so slow to update, this is just a little something I decided to do on my free time between work and life in general. I appreciate all the comments! I plan for this story to be slow burn into a more complex storyline, and it will be loosely based on the original plot of the game with some different twists, so hopefully I can actually stick to it on this one. I would love to hear theories on what you guys expect out of this story! I love hearing new ideas.
Enjoy!
"Good morning, Sunshine! It's time to wake up!"
I groaned and pulled the blanket over my head. Sun tutted and pried the grey cloth from my head.
"Sunnnn" I pouted, my bottom lip poked out dramatically and my puffy eyes added to it.
He quickly averted his eyes with a vibrant blush on his cheeks, "Sky- you have to get up and go now. No sad faces." He couldn't handle her puppy dog eyes right now.
I huffed and finally sat up, "Fineeee, I'm up."
I gathered my dark grey hoodie with 'I'm cold' in bold white letters on the front, and my electric blue lanyard with my keys and badge, before heading for the door. I told Sun goodbye as I walked out while he cheerfully waved back at me.
The time on my phone said 6:05, meaning I wasn't late to clock out from my shift. The morning staff had just started to arrive. I quickly pulled up my fazwatch to make sure I clocked out before I forgot. This had been my routine for almost 2 weeks now.
The shower room for employees was just past the locker room. I discarded my work clothes and threw them in the washer on the other side of the room and quickly wrapped myself in a towel. After gathering my soaps and spare clothes from my locker, I walked to the biggest shower stall.
"Hey Sky!" I looked to my right to see Hannah coming out of a stall, towel piled on her head and another wrapped around her.
"Hey!" My lips pressed together in a halfhearted smile as I continued past her.
I shivered in the cold stall while I waited for the water to heat up. Goosebumps bristled all across my arms and legs. Slowly but surely, the water began to warm up.
The hot water was exactly what I needed to relax my tense and sore muscles. I sighed as I breathed in the hot steam, clearing my tense headache from sleep exhaustion.
After a while, I decided to sit on the floor, my muscles aching too much. My knees folded up to my chest and I crossed my arms on top of them. I rested my right check against my right forearm, slowly drifting to sleep again to the calming hot water rushing over my back.
Roxy stood outside the entrance to girls shower room. Of course, she had access if she wanted. All the animatronics had clearance to shower, with them being waterproof and whatnot. She had seen her blonde mechanic walk in the women's locker room, with puffy eyes and missing her normal peppy step, which was her new norm apparently.
Immediately Roxy's alarms went off signaling the girl was about to crash again, like she had the night Monty messed with her. It didn't take much to figure out the girl had been sleeping in the building since then, and with her and Chica's knowledge of the girl, they quickly found out Skyler had slept in the daycare under Moon's watchful eyes most nights in the past couple of weeks.
Creepy.
She supposed she was a bit worried for the girl, but only because she had been the most pleasant mechanic they've had so far, and she didn't want Chica to be upset if something happened to the girl. So she stood at the door and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Sure enough, 45 minutes went by. After only hearing the shower with no footsteps for 30 minutes, she decided she needed to intervene.
"Fuck", she grumbled. This was all that damn gator's fault.
She walked straight to the only steaming stall and banged on the door.
"Alright, pipsqueak! You've been in there too long."
Nothing.
She began hammering on the door, "Skyler! Helloooooo? Answer me in 5 seconds or I'm busting this door down!
Five...
Four..
Three...
Two..
Two and a half-"
"-I'm fine! Sorry, I fell asleep."
Roxy couldn't help the sigh of relief that left her. "Warn someone next time! You could've drowned or something."
"I know, I'm sorry." Skyler turned the shower off and wrapped herself tightly in her white towel before stepping out. Roxy stepped back to let the girl pass her, eyeing her suspiciously. She knew fine, and the mechanic was far from it.
The mechanic quickly dried off and dressed behind the dressing curtain while Roxy stepped out of the locker room to make a call.
"Hello, Roxy!"
"Hey, Freddy. I need uh, some help."
Oh it hurt to say that.
"Well of course, what do you need?"
Freddy could hear the wolf sigh heavily over the call, "I need help keeping an eye on the mechanic." Immediately understanding the situation, Freddy hummed a reply. "Yes, indeed."
Of course, Chica and Monty were the next to be informed of the current situation. The latter was not particularly enthused, but figured it wouldn't hurt him to keep an eye out. It was mostly his fault anyways, not that he would ever admit it.
After my shower, and Roxanne scolding me for falling asleep in said shower, I brushed the tangled knots out of my blonde hair and wrapped it in two tight French braids to keep the hair out of my face before getting ready for another shift.
After my scare with Monty, I began working more to distract myself. I went straight to Ernie a week ago to tell him I would take server shifts if needed, under the guise that I just really needed the extra money. He was happy to put me back on the backup server schedule since it made his job that much easier.
It was the first of the month, which was way busier than the rest of the month since majority of people received pay and checks. Lunch rush was also quite a hit with the high number of birthday parties going on, and I was struggling to keep up with the staff shortage.
"Hey, Matt. This lady said she ordered double Chicaroni, not the Gator Gamble."
"I made what Sam put on the order."
"I know, I know. Can you just make it? Please? She's really bitching about it and it's only my first day back."
He rolled his eyes and snatched the pizza back before getting to work on the new order. "Fine, but I don't like wasting food. You and Sam are eating pizza for lunch, you could probably use it anyways."
"Got it." I replied before skating over to another table where a man sat with his two kids, a brunette girl and boy who looked to be around 8-10 years old. He wore a furious expression on his face as he watched me approached.
"Hello! My name is Skyler and I'll be taking your order today. What can I-"
"Ma'am we've been waiting for 15 minutes." He snapped at me.
"Yes, I'm so sorry about the wait. We-"
His face turned beet red and his jaws clenched tightly.
"Well 'sorry' doesn't feed my kids when they're hungry."
My brows rose at his comment, but I bit my tongue.
"Okay well let me hurry and get that order in for you, what can I get you to drink?"
After the man and his kids named their drinks and order, I rushed to get the ticket in the kitchen and hurried back with drinks.
"Here's your fizzy faz orders, your pizza will be out in just a couple minutes. Can I help you with anything else?"
"How long does it take to make a damn pizza?" The man grumbled and took a swig of his drink.
"It'll be out in 10 minutes tops-"
The red faced man spit out his drink onto the table and turned to me, anger twisting his features even more. "What the fuck is this? This isn't what I ordered."
"I'm sorry, I thought-"
I was interrupted once again as I was suddenly drenched in ice cold soda.
Monty was roaming around freely, greeting kids and taking pictures, as he normally did. He wasn't as preoccupied with birthday parties as the other band members. It bothered him, sure he wished he had more fans than Freddy Fazfuck over there, but it was nice to not deal with as many shithead parents as his band mates.
His eyes caught a flash of blonde hair in the dining area, skating from table to table. The mechanic. He knew she had been taking extra shifts, seeing her active in his call system almost constantly now. It didn't take a genius to see that she was working herself to the bone. Makeup could only cover up so much, and the rings around her eyes were still visible to his own. She could've possibly lost a few pounds too, but it was hard to tell with her current work attire.
His feet gradually slowed to a stop as he stopped beside one of the ticket machines. He crossed his arms and leaned against it as he watched her deal with what seemed like a difficult customer.
The band mates were rockstars, but they also served as security for the workers when it came to hostile customers, and boy, was there a lot of them. The job usually fell onto his shoulders as he was the most intimidating, to his pride and also dismay, and he had the most availability.
He jolted as he watched the man throw a large glass of fizzy fazz at Skyler, completely soaking her and shattering the adult glass against the side of her head. Luckily, she had turned to dodge it and hadn't end up with glass in her eyes.
His alarms immediately went off and he gave to activate security measures. He could handle small disputes on his own and would deactivate the alarms, but this required a police report at the least.

-DIALING... 'VANESSA'
BEEP BEEP BEEP
"What's going on?" Vanessa's voice came through, it never took long for her to answer.
"We got a situation in the dining hall. Guy broke a glass on a waitress."
He could hear her sigh as she started to make her way to the atrium, her footsteps echoing rapidly in the background. "Alright, just keep him put until I get there. You have clearance to restrain him, but do not lay even a scratch on him."
"10-4"
The line went dead and he grinned, 'popping' his knuckles as he made his way to man who was currently screaming hysterically at the mechanic while his kids sat calmly in the booth, apparently used to this behavior from him.
He grabbed the guy by the collar of his shirt and swiftly lifted him 2 feet off the ground, spinning him around to make eye contact.
The man immediately stiffened, and his dark brown eyes widened comically as he looked at the gator. Monty absolutely relished the look a fear from the man.
"Ya like hitting women, little man?"
The guy babbled pathetically. What a wuss.
"Accordin' to rule number 17, as stated in the waiver ya signed, we have a right to file a police report for harm against workers. One of our guards has been contacted blah, blah. Ya get the idea. Don't try to run neither." Monty warned him as he slowly placed him back on the ground.
In perfect timing, Vanessa was there with her report pad and baton. She gave the guy a quick once over, just to be sure Monty followed her orders, and nodded at him. His signal to leave, she had it covered from here.
"Oh, Sky, go to first aid to clean up. I'll meet you there, I'll need an incident report from you too."
Sky stood up quickly from the booth she was in, covering her face, and hauled ass in the opposite direction. Vanessa gave an exasperated sigh, mumbling something about not being paid enough, and then pinned Monty with a look.
"Alright big guy, I need you to make she gets to first aid."
Monty's swing to and fro, contemplating just ignoring, but ultimately decided against it. Maybe this was his way to apologize to the mechanic without actually saying it.
He snarled one last time at the man beside him, and strutted off, tailing swinging to and fro with clear agitation.
After about 15 minutes of tracking down the mechanic, he finally pinpointed her destination. Her office.
Even from a distance he could make out the sounds in her office, because he too made those sounds. Only his were much more terrifying.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid."
"Can I get just one. Fucking. Break!"
Another bang sounded from her office and he quietly approached the doorway.
"Fuck!"
He finally reached the door, watching her little tantrum with his arms crossed. Of course, her office attained very little damage from her wrath, but he could still admit that her show of anger was a little impressive. For a human, anyways.
He decided it was time to interrupt her before she hurt herself with her current feeble attempt to flip her desk.
"Looks like yer tryin' to steal my reputation, huh?"
She jumped, her anger almost disintegrating from the sudden embarrassment at being caught throwing a temper tantrum. And by Monty of all people.
Her wide eyes and flushed cheeks immediately sank back into anger at the sight of him.
"What are you doing here?"
"Babysitting a toddler, looks like."
"Says the overgrown animatronic toddler himself."
"Don't try to turn this one on me, mechanic."
They sat in brief silence before she gave up, and plopped down on the floor defeated.
"I'm sorr-"
"Look-"
They both looked at one another awkwardly and Monty looked away first, scratching the back of his neck.
"Eh, you go first."
She rose one brow at his before her blue gaze suddenly landed shamefully on the floor.
"I'm sorry, Monty"
His ears perked up at that and his looked at her, with a rare slack jawed expression. Unfortunately for her, she didn't see it.
"I'm sorry for pressuring you to let me do checks on you, I should've realized the previous mechanics were probably shitheads and did some awful things. And now I'm just, fuck, I'm scared of you. I should've come to you earlier but I-"
"Stop it right there." He couldn't let her continue, his fans were overworking to cool him overheating system. A human? Apologizing to Monty? It was enough to make him have a heat stroke any day on any occasion.
"I shouldn't have put ya in the vents. Didn't realize you'd get hurt." I'm sorry, too.
For moment, she sat their absorbing his words and not moving. Her pink lips morphed into a small halfhearted smile and she stood up, turning to him with her hand held out.
"Truce? Let me do checks on you, and I promise if I make you uncomfortable, I'll never lay a single finger on you again."
Monty's red eyes watched her closely for any sign of deception, but found none. He stretched his hand out before she suddenly moved away from his hand, and he looked up to see a stern stare on her face.
"And -I'm not done- don't ever scare me with anything resembling any kind of spiders ever again. You can scare me, just keep spiders out of it." Her tone left no room for argument and he rolled his eyes before taking her small hand in his.
"Deal."
Her hands were so soft.
"Good." The mechanic turned around to start cleaning her mess. He stopped her with a hand on her shoulder. Her face of confusion made him roll his eyes again.
"I got this, go to first aid."
"Wha- no you don't need to clean my mess." She shook her head furiously, messy blonde braids bouncing. He waved her off.
"Said I got it. Go."
She slowly gathered her badge and phone, looking at him 4 separate times as she left, each time looking more and more confused. He couldn't blame her, this had turned out to be an odd day for them both. He crouched to her desk, inspecting the small Monty plushie sitting right beside an old blue mason jar full of pens and paper clips.
Yeah.
A really odd day indeed.
