Around 7am Hailey goes on a run and Jay doesn't know but she didn't think she would be fine for long.

Hailey was half way through her run when she heard her phone vibrate and it was jay.

J: hey babe where did you go?

H: I'm on my way back I was going on my run I'll be back in like 10 minutes

J: ok I love you

H:I love you to

Hailey puts her phone back away and starts running back until she hears someone scream "help" so she runs to the edge of the bridge on she sees a little girl holding on to a buoy and Hailey yells "Hang on to the buoy take I'm gonna get you out ok".

Hailey calls it in "This is badge number 55055 I need fire and rescue at my location there is a tender age kid in the river hanging on to a buoy" "copy that sending Fire and rescue to your location".

Hailey couldn't wait any longer so she jumped into the freezing cold water and swam to the little girl "hey help is on the way I'm Hailey what's your name" she says "emma" and Hailey finally hears sirens "you hear that help is here".

It was taking a long time for the Rescue team to go into the water and Hailey and Emma were getting hypothermia and they were both really exhausted and Hailey looked like her head was gonna go under "Hey Hailey hang in there ok" severide says.

By the time rescue got there Jay already heard Hailey call it in so he jumped into his truck and sped away.

Hailey was so close to going under until she hears Jays voice "baby I need you to keep your head up ok" he says and Hailey fought so hard to "I love you jay" she says and her head goes under.

"Hailey" Jays yells "get her out" so the rescue team is finally ready to get in the water and they grab emma and bring her up and then they dive under to get Hailey.

When Jay saw one of the rescuers pulling Hailey up he started to cry "no no no".

They pull her out of the water and check for a pulse "no pulse starting compression" and emt said.

After 3 rescue breaths Hailey starts to cough up water and they roll her to her side and she sees jay "Hailey it's gonna be ok" he says and then everything goes black.
