Chapter One: The Lioness awakens.
(Chunin Exam Preliminaries)
"You are beaten Hinata-sama. Give up!" Spat Neji looking at his beaten cousin who looked haggard and battered.
"Come on Hinata! You can do it! Show him that guy can do it!" Naruto says from the stands seeing Hinata look up at him.
"Naruto-kun is right. I can do this!" Hinata says in thought getting into a gentle fist stance.
Neji however narrowed his eyes in hatred at his cousin.
"Pathetic. I will gladly show everyone for who she really is a spoiled brat!" Neji thought as both of them fought with their might.
Hinata has done well in holding her own against her cousin yet she was losing this fight.
Seeing his chance to finish this. Neji smirked and did the 64 palm technique once again and struck Hinata everywhere on her body.
"Hinata No!" Cried Naruto wishing he could go down there and help her.
"You are beaten Hinata-sama. Give up." Neji says seeing her struggling to stand as she coughed blood.
"Ne-Never..." She says
"So be it." He says coldly and dashed at her going to deliver the finishing blow.
Before any of the Jonin could stop him. They were too late. Neji struck Hinata directly in the chest where her heart was as she was sent flying.
"HINATA!!?" Cried Naruto.
No one said a word or did anything. Neji stood there with a smug cold smirk. He finally did it.
Hinata was out cold... she was not moving. You could hear faint heart beating.
An ominous glow surrounded Hinata as the onlookers paid attention even Neji. Hinata's eyes glowed moonlight color as she suddenly growled. Catching many off guard. She growled again and it sounded like a Lion. Many were watching in awe.
Suddenly Hinata grew sharp claws on her hands and feet, as she grew a Lion tail from her behind. She opened her mouth to reveal her fangs and sharp teeth.
As she lept it growling beastly.
"What is this? How is this possible!? You should be down!" Neji said unable to believe what he was witnessing
Naruto and co were in shock too at Hinata's new appearance.
She glared at Neji and did a thunderous lioness roar at the boy knocking him on his ass. While the others flinched and jumped back in fright.
The roar was so loud that it echoed throughout Konoha and outside the village.
( Hiashi)
He was busy writing paperwork in his personal study. That was until he heard the roar and instantly dropped his pen in horror.
"No! It can't be! The seal has broken!" He thought frantically in fear.
(Elsewhere)
Somewhere in north west of the elemental nations. Inside a cave. Were two huge male lions. Both of them had no manes though. They opened their eyes waking up from their sleep. They in turn roared hearing the roar all the way from Konoha.
Both lions instantly left their cave that was full of skeletons of Suna Shinobi, Iwa Shinobi, Kumo Shinobi, Kiri Shinobi and Konoha Shinobi. Countless skeletons of villagers and samurai.
Ninja headbands scattered everywhere along with the skeletons of their prey.
And these two lions... are the Ghost and the Darkness. A pair of mass murdering Lions. That has lived and has raised terror throughout the elemental nations.
They have been killing Shinobi, villagers and samurais in their wake since the Sage of the six paths. Some say they are demons or demonic lions that loves to kill for the pleasure. Or that they are possessed by demons and has been on their killing spree.
Man eaters. Both are. And have been like that.
Prey for the Shinobi that had fallen to these lions.
And since these lions are on their way to Konoha. Since they heard Hinata.
Why were they going there to see Hinata? And what is her connection to these two mass murdering lions who are responsible for killing countless Shinobi from every major village.
( Konoha)
Naruto was wide eyed at what he was seeing. Along with everyone else.
"What's going on what's happening to Hinata?!" said a Shocked Kurenai who was scared out of her mind seeing that Hinata is a lion.
Hinata growled at Neiji who was trying to keep a defiant yet arrogant brave look.
"You Don't scare me!" he says getting into a gentle fist stance.
She however lunged at him with great speed, speed that he couldn't track, she slashed her claws across his chest making him yell in pain clutching his wound.
He looked around for her only for her to trip him and pin him to the ground growling deeply snarling at him. He tried to strike her but she quickly bite his arm with such force that he screamed loud feeling his bones break.
His arm and the bones were broken from her powerful bite force. As she looked at him dead in the eyes roaring scaring him.
"Someone Stop her before she kills him!" yelled Ino
Hayate tried to get close to her only for her to turn and roar at him daring him to deny her prey.
Naruto jumped off the stands and ran to her.
"Naruto come back! She's dangerous!" warned Kakashi
Naruto didn't listen and ran to Hinata.
"Hinata!" he yelled as she turned towards him with a feral look. As she eyed him.
"Hinata.. It's me.. Naruto..." He says watching her stalk towards him as if he was a mouse.
She looked at him.
"Nice Hinata... Easy. Please come back." Naruto says worried for her.
She listened and her eyes returned to lavender color as she was reverting to normal.
As he caught her.
"Nar-Naruto-kun..." she says passing out.
Everyone was stunned.
Only Naruto was able to get through to her? And how did Hinata turn into a lion?
So many questions... Was Hinata a Jinchuriki or something else...

An: Another new story. A Naruto x Ghost and The Darkness. Featuring Hinata as a lioness. Why? Because in Shippuden she has those two lion fists. And in my Uzumaki Hachishaku fic she has both lions as companions.
Her connection to them will be explained in the next chapter.
