I slowly sit up, a small frown on my face.

I stretch my arms above my head with a small groan and lay back down on my bed, glaring silently up at the ceiling.

'Well, Fuck.'

I sit up again and pull the blankets off my body and slowly turn and place my feet on the floor.

I look to the digital clock sat on my bedside table.

'One AM? Seems about right.'

I get out of bed, slowly walking across the dark room.

I slowly walk over to the staircase at the edge of the room and begin walking down.

It spirals downwards in a slow curve, following the circular stone brick wall. I place my hand on the wall and the guard rail to steady myself as I slowly trudge downwards, the wooden steps slightly slippery under my socks.

I reach the bottom of the stairs and slowly walk across the circular room and make my way to the kitchen.

I open the fridge and grab some milk, then some cereal and a bowl and a spoon from a nearby cabinet, then sit down at a small dining table.

I let out a quiet sigh as I look around the room. It is still dark out, the blinds are drawn over the tiny windows, a gentle rain peppers the roof of my home.

So...

I died again...

A spoonful of cereal reaches my mouth as I let out a bored hum.

You might be wondering what the fuck I'm talking about... but it's quite simple... name is Cura... it has been three long months since I was placed in another world... I can tell it is another world, purely because everything is so... 'anime' now.

In addition... every time I go to sleep, I am ripped from this world and put into a certified death world... at first, I had no idea anything was happening. Go to bed, insomnia and anxiety of being in a new place wakes me up at random hours, repeat.

But that all changed one month ago...

I killed some giant crowned slime.

The king slime.

That's right, I'm pulled into the Terraria universe every time I sleep, and I remain there until I die or until twenty-four in-world hours have passed, roughly equaling eight hours of sleep.

If I die, however, I am forcibly awakened...

My spoon shakes slightly as I use my other hand to calm the shivers.

There are upsides and downsides to this. The numerous upsides, I keep whatever I get in that world and I can freely bring it back to this world... mushrooms, blocks of stone, gemstones, potions, magical staves, skills, and to top it all off, my body.

By 'my body' I mean, I am constantly getting stronger in that world...

I started off with so little magic that I could barely manage a spell, but with every three fallen stars I gather, and with each mana star I craft, I gain considerably more mana. With every life crystal I find myself growing stronger, faster, more durable, and healthier.

The downsides... are few in number, admittedly.

There's really only one.

I remember what it feels like to die over and over and over again. Entirely new ways being added every night I don't survive.

Last night... was being consumed by a massive eyeball with teeth.

Not a pleasant way to go.

That brings me to another discovery... it is not the 'Regular' terraria world...

It's modded.

The dragon ball mod, if you can believe it.

Plus, it sort of looks like there's a fusion between those massive mods.

Calamity at the very least, and I can create musical instruments so probably Thorium as well.

The main issue is... I don't exactly know those mods too well.

The dragon ball mod? Sure. It's based off an anime, I can more or less figure it out as I go along. But BIG mods? That's doubtful.

At least it's more or less telling me what to do. I've killed the Great Thunderbird, the King Slime, the Desert Scourge, and even a giant clam.

I finish my cereal and slowly stand up, stretching my arms above my head as I let out a quiet yawn.

The eye has been stumping me for the past couple of days.

It's too fast, it moves far too erratically, it summons miniature eyes the size of my head that try to strike my body with dark magics, and above all else, it's too strong. Nearly crippling me in a single attack every time it manages to barely clip me.

I bring the bowl to the sink and wash it out, then walk over to the left, where numerous mushrooms are being grown inside of an incubator

I reach in and grab one of the fully grown ones, then trek over to a table with a mortar and pestle.

I grab a bottle of blue slime and two bottles of water.

The slime and the mushroom is mashed together swiftly, then in the next moment, I put half of the concoction into one of the bottles.

Instantly as the mush touches the water, it liquefies, tinting part of the water red. It rapidly flows throughout the rest of the bottle as I give it a gentle spin. It's as if I put a few drops of food coloring into the water... yet instead of being a translucent slightly red liquid it becomes a murky blood red that you can't see through.

I sit it down and do the exact same to the other bottle of water.

And just like that, two weak healing potions are created.

I quietly place both within my bag and look to the door under the staircase.

'Well. I should do a few errands. It's not as if I'll be able to get back to sleep. I need to wait roughly four more hours, otherwise my sleep will be just that... sleep. There would be no progress in killing that bastard eye.

I walk back up the stairs, grab a hoodie from my closet, and I am out the door in the next moment.

'Let's see here... noodles, a pack of Bouillon cubes, chicken breast, soy sauce, dashi, some pork belly, this is looking like it's about to be a KILLER ramen!'

The plastic bag in my other hand rustles slightly as I pause abruptly. "Hn?"

I look over my shoulder.

Some... thing... prowls over the hood of a car, it looks like a mix between a panther and an octopus... but with a man's face

"A sacred gear wielder? Kekekeke what a treat for me~"

It has a panther like-body, but instead of front limbs it has four tentacles, its neck is slightly longer than a panthers and more upturned, the tail also has a scythe like blade on it.

"Kekeke with your power, I will be unmatched!" The absolutely CURSED being laughs.

It lunges forwards, but with a single leap I am sent catapulting off the ground, a brief white aura flickers around me as I flip through the air, using my Ki to re-orientate myself.

I land atop a light pole with a disgusted look.

"What the hell are you?" I mutter with a frown.

I sigh and shake my head, I can see blood lingering around its mouth.

with a shake of my head I hold out a single hand. "Whatever. You started this."

A small blue orb appears in my palm and begins rapidly growing.

"DIIEE DIIIIIE DIIIIIIIEEE!"

The orb grows about to the size of my fist as I cartwheel off the light pole as the beast crashes into it, irreversibly bending the metal pole, the lights flicker out as there is a shower of sparks, pepper the beast's flesh.

During that time, my blast has grown to its maximum size.

I fling my free hand forwards as I fall to the ground, shooting a beam that is as wide as my torso at the strange chimeric creature.

It strikes its shoulder, causing him to let out a yowl of pain as it staggers under the force of the beam, screams of agony leaving its jagged maw as the power washes over it.

It is shunted forcefully into an alleyway where it crumples under the beam which isn't letting up.

My ki drains fairly quickly as I continue to blast the creature, its struggling weakens, and eventually stop.

I cease my attack with a low breath as I run a hand through my hair.

The beast is certainly dead. My attack shaved away at its flesh and broke through its rib cage, utterly vaporizing whatever organs it had in its chest cavity.

All that remains is a heavily scorched head loosely connected to the rest of the body via charred flesh, and the back half which remains, honestly, almost pristine.

'Well, this really isn't my problem. I killed it, shoved it out of the way, let whoever finds it deal with it.'

I let out a long breath as my energy crackles to life around me, pebbles from the road slowly rise upwards as I inhale deeply.

The energy I just spent will take a while to recharge.

The white aura around me is almost blinding in the early morning darkness.

Perhaps I should do this elsewhere.

The aura fades as I turn and return to my brisk walk. Groceries still kept safely within hand.

Pov: elsewhere.

A woman stares down at a scorched and broken stray devil.

Well, that was... certainly a thing.

Her eyes stray down the road she just saw the black-haired teen disappear down.

She has never seen a power like that before, yet it seemed vaguely familiar. She just can't quite put her finger on it. It's not light. But it's not an element.

Her eyes stare in the direction the teen wandered off.

He... had a sacred gear... a powerful one at that... his magical potential was fairly substantial as well.

The woman had come here to make sure that this town was safe and to smooth over relations with the surrounding supernatural creatures... perhaps she should start there?

Pov: returned.

I yawn and wipe my eye as I slowly stir the broth in my pot with one hand.

'ugh. When can I go back to bed? I want to give that eyeball bastard a piece of my mind.'

I grab a ladle and pour the broth over my noodles, then toss in a few strips of chicken and a slice of pork belly. "Oh, this looks pretty good."

I return to my table with a fork, scooping up some of the noodles and bringing them to my mouth.

"Wow." I mutter with a slow blink.

That is surprisingly good.

*Knock Knock Knock*

My eyes snap to the door.

"…"

I'm just going to ignore that.

I go back to eating as if I hadn't heard anything.

*Knock Knock Knock*

I look across the room to the clock. 'ugh. What does anyone want from me before eight in the morning?!'

I slowly trudge to the door, a bored, tired, and dead inside expression on my face, I open it a moment later, coming face to face with a... magical girl?

She has long black hair tied up into pigtails, she wears a vibrant pink dress with white accents, it comes in two parts, the first, a pink shirt, with a bow around her collar, a sphere with a golden star on it keeping the ribbon in place, the dress follows the same color scheme as her top.

She shows off a surprising amount of midriff, and she has pink and black stiped stockings, and a funny pink hat with feathery wings on the sides.

She has long fingerless gloves that go up past the elbow.

She strikes a cute pose, doing a peace sign over her eye. "Dah dah dah! Tis I! Miricle Levia-tan!"

I close the door.

"Hm. So magical girls exist... that's neat." I frown.

An absolute deluge of knocks pound on my door as I take a deep breath and open the door again.

"What?" I ask with a half-lidded stare.

"Dah Dah dah-" she begins to cheer again, only for me to close the door again, or at least attempt it, but a foot stops it from closing completely.

"…"

I open the door again. "What do you want?"

"I am Serafall Leviathan, and I am the temporary overseer of this town." The woman nods.

'Wait... that sounds vaguely familiar...'

She seems to expect something, tilting her head as I don't react.

"Okay? This is my problem how?" I question flatly.

"Oh! I just wanted to see who you were! I've never seen you before! So who are you? What faction do you belong to? Why are you here?!"

"Uh... my name is Cura, I... genuinely didn't know any form of factions existed until like ten seconds ago, and I have lived here my whole life... and I will continue to live here and eat my rapidly cooling breakfast after you stop bothering me."

An expression of surprise crosses the woman's face.

"Do you... know who I am?"

"Should I?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"What do you know about the supernatural?" The woman demands.

"Like vampires and werewolves?" I ask with an amused expression. "Less than I should... I mean, I killed that strange puma squid thing earlier today, but that's about it. If you are telling me that those sorts of creatures casually exist, maybe I should get some silver or some Garlic."

She falls silent for a moment, looking over me slowly, eventually she looks up, an excited expression briefly crossing her face. "That's great! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Serafall Leviathan... one of the four leaders of the devil race."

"…"

"Pardon?" I blink owlishly.

"It is surprising you don't know this... considering you are a devil as well, after all." The woman continues. "Well, at the very least, a half devil."

Oooooh fuck. Oh fuck. Oh shit. I know where I am now.

"But you've also got a sacred gear, a pretty strong one from what I can feel." The girl announces as she tilts her head, tapping her chin. "I like you! Let's be friends!"

I let out a long sigh and open the door. "Come in if you want."

The extremely powerful woman skips inside, eyes trailing the numerous things I have sat around the room, numerous incubators growing magical plants, the numerous crates of potions laying around, a stack of spell tomes that radiate magic, and even a few tan-ish sandstone weapons.

"ooooh!" She gasps as she looks to a golden slime sat within a glass aquarium.

It bashes up against the glass as she approaches, a child-like gleam in her eye. "Pretty!"

She doesn't seem to care that it actively seems to be trying to murder her through the glass.

"Please don't antagonize it." I sigh "if it breaks out it'll go on a legitimate killing spree. Quite possibly murdering dozens of humans before law enforcement manage to put it down."

"How violent!" The girl exclaims.

"Hey, how'd you get all of this despite not knowing the supernatural existed, Cu-tan?"

"Special powers." I announce with a shrug.

"Soooo some form of summoning sacred gear." The girl notes. "Hmmm..."

A grin crosses her face. "You have no idea what I'm talking about huuuuh?"

"Vaguely."

"Well, I should probably explain a couuuuple of things to you. It all started like a bazillion years ago in something the supernatural world likes to call 'The Great War'."

"Hnnng-" I groan as I raise my hands above my head.

A quiet sigh leaves my lips as I crouch down and stretch, green grass rustled under my feet as I look around slowly.

Over my body is plate-like stretchy- but extremely light- armor.

I roll my shoulders and begin slowly walking forwards.

'Alrighty. Let's get some preparation done.'

At my hip is a bottle of slime, and around my neck is an amulet.

With a loud noise, two bat-like wings appear on my back, they twitch and extend as I continue to stretch, and with a single leap, I take off.

"So... half devil." I note with a frown. "With a sacred gear..."

I let out a low click. "Well, fuck. I knew I wasn't human. Buuut I certainly didn't expect that. I was thinking more along the lines of Dragon... or maybe like... Vampire. Er, rather, Dhampir?"

"Still... Half Devil isn't bad. I wonder if I am a descendant of one of those pillar devils... do I have a cool clan trait? Or am I just merely some random half devil."

My wings flap in the air as I soar across the forest, a small smile on my face.

I think I have figured out a way to kill the Eye of Cthulhu. I have been thinking of this world as a game, however, that is not entirely the case, now, is it?

I can do things you were never capable of in the game. In fact, the way I killed the king slime was by using the fact that Gel is flammable and I set it alight accidentally.

That might just work against a floating eyeball with teeth.

'noooow if I were a slime, where would I-'

I spy a green jiggling blob bouncing around, I swoop down and pick it up slowly, it doesn't really react.

While it would normally try and melt my fingers, now? It sees me as its King. Something that is certainly a mistake as I am going to stuff it in a barrel alongside numerous others of its kind and set them all alight after I get the eye to crash into them.

I put my hands on my hips and look over what can only be described as a disaster waiting to happen,

Extremely dry hay covered in a liquid of a myriad of colors, greens, blues, purples, and even some reds litter a tall rock wall, numerous barrels and hunks of chopped wood litter the area.

Numerous gelled wooden spikes and massive iron and lead hooks are shoved into the wall.

I turn away from the wall and cross my arms.

Now I just need to wait.

A beam shoots from my palm up towards a titanic eyeball, an orange-ish glinting object floats beside me as the beam strikes it dead on, the wave washes over the beast for a moment, causing it to let out an unholy shriek, a bolt of lightning arcs down the length of the beam and crackles across the flesh of the eye.

Eye of Cthulhu: 81.2%

I allow the beam to fade as a crackling energy aura surrounds me, I offer the eye a cocky smirk as it dives forward.

It grows closer and closer as I bend my knees.

With a tremendous leap that cracks the ground beneath my feet I rocket upwards, the eye tries to stop itself but it is too late, it skewers itself on the rock wall.

A pained shriek echoes out as the cornea violently splits, showing numerous teeth about as long as I am tall.

I hurl the lit Molotov in my other hand down at it, as the bottle shatters, sending flaming liquid over it, the entire are around it light up, fires of numerous colors ignite all over it, its body is being roasted over a multi-hued green, red, purple, and blue fire.

It begins rapidly spinning as it tries to fling the fleshy eye parts over its gaping maw off, the large hooks in the wall I forged snag its flesh as it rapidly turns, carving large tears in its shockingly durable flesh.

Another ki orb forms in my hand as I launch another wave downwards, shoving the spinning beast into the flames.

Its shrieks are sort of cathartic, this bastard has caused me so much pain these last three weeks.

My beam eventually fades as my total Ki reserves fall to about half full, I am keeping myself afloat with my devil wings as I slowly recharge.

It stops spinning, rainbow fire clinging to its body as it flies forwards off the spikes, causing more damage as it tugs free the hooks stuck in the wall.

Eye of Cthulhu: 6.2%

Its health is ticking down slowly, but I know that look...

I lunge to the side suddenly as it rockets through the place I was in mere moments before, it barely leaves a red trail in its wake as it does so. It turns on a dime a mere thirty feet past where I was and tries again, keeping the same rapid pace. It tries again and again, my ki rapidly draining as I have to abandon my winged flight and rely on my much faster Ki flight.

'Wait... it's not stopping... why the hell isn't it stopping?!'

My eyes can barely track it as it follows me in a jagged slightly circling pattern.

I abruptly launch myself backwards as its health continues to drain, the massive eye attempting to cut me off... and it would have succeeded had I kept flying forwards. The hairs on the back of my neck raise as it bends, retaining all of its momentum and blasts right for me, I barely arch around it as my eyes narrow.

'This little bastard.'

Everything slows as green lightning crackles around me, a red pulsing aura of rage coming to life as I watch it slowly turn.

A ki wave is shot from my hand as it launches for me.

*Sprrrt*

The eye flies around me, showering me with gore, as my beam punches a clean hole through it, it crashes to the earth a short distance away as I glare down at the burning corpse.

The Eye of Cthulhu has been defeated! Generating Rewards!

That eye...how peculiar. I sensed it watching you more intensely as you grew stronger.

New items are Available in the Shop!

Generating Treasure Bag.

A large sack that looks vaguely like an eye appears in my grasp, I look down with a grin as I slowly fall to the grassy floor below.

You may now use the Kaioken Technique.

"YOOOOO!" I cheer.

Note: if you try to go over a x2 multiplier with this technique, you will probably be incredibly injured and possibly die.

I finally have some form of power booster beyond Rage and Adrenaline. The first, barely increases my power by a little third, but it has the benefit of not immediately lowering to zero should I be hit even once. It also can be used in any combat scenario that lasts longer than thirty seconds as long as I am physically fighting. Adrenaline, on the other hand, are limited to 'bosses'. It takes thirty minutes to charge, and if I get hit once, I lose all of my progress, however I do take reduced damage from the blow, more a result of my effort to dodge and retain my Adrenaline than anything it does, but I have noticed a small protection barrier. In exchange for its difficulty to use... I get an absolutely STAGGERING three times multiplier to my capabilities.

Sadly these two modes do not stack, going to a maximum of three and a third increase, instead of a four times multiplier.

I wonder how they would play with Kaioken, though?

I open the bag, looking down in it to see a mix of red/black and purple hunks of ore. Beneath it all is a red shield that looks like an eyeball, and some form of... strange rock with a blue glowing flame atop it.

Novice Ki Fragment: Consuming this increases your Maximum Ki by a fair amount.

I wordlessly eat the rock with a grimace, it hurts slightly as it slides down my throat, but it wasn't budging when I tried to chew it slightly.

I fall forwards as a burning heat passes throughout my body, I fall onto my hands and let out a low wheeze.

My energy rages out of control, plucking strands of grass and hunks of dirt from the earth.

"Hooooo." I lowly wheeze.

"FFFFFF-" I hiss as I stagger to my feet.

This place isn't safe.

Zombies are creeping out of the forest, and eyeballs litter the sky.

I let out a long breath as I quietly sip the mug of hot chocolate in my hand.

It is surprisingly good.

Was it worth Twenty silver? No.

Will I be buying it again?

Probably not.

Not until I at least have a little more money.

At the moment, I have around fifteen gold. A decent amount, I suppose. I'm really just saving it until I get something really worthwhile in the shop.

I final off the hot chocolate and walk the mug to my sink.

At least I get to keep the mug, I suppose.

*This is where I stopped writing*

Hi all! This is just another take on the chapter 17 fic, just now with more mods, more chaos, and instead of being fueled by a semblance, it's powered completely by a subspecies Innovate Clear which seems to have it out for our dear half devil.

Ps. If you are wondering why this is updating so much, it's because I'm taking a break from D&Devil. Updating that so rapidly wasn't so good for my health... it also made it seem like that was a NORMAL update schedule... I mean, really, today I got a review acting as if it had been like... months since I posted the last chapter of D&Devil.

It has been eight days.

So yeah. Expect for a new possible fic to drop sometime soon, but don't fully expect for it to be updated regularly, it'll be so far into AU that I genuinely have to think about what would happen in it. I'm saying that it won't last long because, well, it is in a fandom I have rarely ever written in. So it probably won't be long until my 'Oh my god these characters are acting so out of character. Oh god. Oh fuck' anxiety pops in and gets me to stop.

Either it'll be a new fic, or it'll just be posted here. I'm unsure of which I want to do, honestly.

As for the mods in this, I put in the 'Fargo's Pack.'

Fargo's Mutant Mod, Fargo's Souls, Calamity, Thorium, Dragon Ball Terraria, and Shadows of Abaddon.
