Hi, I'm Dare211, and this is my first fanfiction story. I would love some feedback about things I need to work on and I would love some reviews, I don't care if their good or bad. Anyways, enjoy.
In the Valley of End
Sasuke laid next to Naruto, his right arm no longer an arm, but a stump that was bleeding out. "Careful, if we move too much, we'll bleed out, and die," said the spiky blond haired Jinchuuriki, Naruto, who was also laying down with his left arm just a stump and bleeding out.
"I know that you dobe!" Sasuke shouted. He turned his head and looked at his friend, and said in an annoyed tone, "I paid attention to Iruka Sensei in medical class, whereas you just slept." Naruto then looked at him, and said, "That doesn't matter right now, but what does matter is staying alive until Sakura and Kakashi Sensei get here." Always thinking ahead, eh Naruto? I'm surprised you didn't act like a dim wit this time and screw up like you always do. Sasuke then looks up into the sky.
"Alright Naruto, you were right," Sasuke admitted, "I'm sorry, but in my defense, I'll say that going into the darkness seemed like the only option." Naruto looked at him with a surprised face, which quickly turned into a pleased smile. "Knew you would see it my way!" said that knuckleheaded bastard. Just that smile made Sasuke want to slash it off his face, but in his current situation, he couldn't even if he tried.
Right now, Sasuke felt like an empty shell, filled with nothing. Naruto looked at him, and looked a little worried. "Sasuke, you alright?" Sasuke was about to throw another insult, but for some reason, his eyes grew heavy, and all he wanted to do was close them. He looked at his friend, and said, "Naruto, it looks like my time is up." "NO! You have to stay awake Sasuke, you have to make amends! Please, don't die on me!" Sasuke never saw Naruto like this, and for some reason it made his chest hurt.
"Naruto, I cheated death once, but it seems that won't happen again," Sasuke began to say more but Naruto interrupted him. "NO! I'm not gonna let you die, not after everything!" Sasuke grew angry at his friend's ignorance. "NARUTO!" This silenced him, allowing Sasuke to continue. "I won't make it, I know that, but please, tell everyone that they were the best comrades they could have been. Shikamaru, Gaara, everyone. Please, tell them. And tell Sakura…" Sasuke suddenly felt his consciousness start to slip. He wouldn't last much longer, but still he fought to stay awake for the next few moments. "...tell Sakura that I'm sorry. Please." He was begging now. He said it over and over again, "please tell her, please goddamnit!" Naruto answered back with a saddened face, "alright, I promise, and I will never break my promise, believe it!"
Sasuke felt relieved, but he knew that his end would be in only a few seconds, and so he managed to say one last thing, "I wish that I had a second chance." And then he closed his eyes, never to awaken again.
In the afterlife
Sasuke woke up, but when he looked around, he was in a black void, and he was standing on water, which seemed to endlessly go in every direction. "Where..where am I?" Sasuke said, confused. "You are in the afterlife," a voice suddenly said behind him. Sasuke looked behind him, to see a man in white, and multiple Truth-Seeker Orbs floated behind him. "Hagoromo?"
Hagoromo chuckled, and said, "yes it is me, and you, Sasuke, are in the afterlife." Sasuke, looked around him, and said, "Well, then what am I doing talking to you? Are you here to pass judgment on my soul?" Hagoromo gave a hearty laugh, and said, "I believe that is death's job, I am merely here to give you a proposition." Sasuke looked wearily at the millenia-old Sage. "What proposition?" Sasuke questioned. Hagoromo's expression suddenly went serious, and he said, "You should know by now that the Infinite Tsukuyomi has been lifted by Naruto, and that the five elemental shinobi nations got along without you, but you also wished for a second chance at life, am I correct?"
Sasuke nodded, and said, "what does that have to do with this?" Hagoromo continued, "There is another world, a new, fresh one, or by my standards it is, but it has been at war with an ever-growing threat for all of its time, and I am afraid that it may need help. This world was created by two brother gods, the God of Light, and the God of Darkness, however they abandoned it long ago. However, they still watch over it, and given your situation, Sasuke, I had a little chat with them. They happened to be some old colleagues of mine. I asked them if I could resurrect you in their world, and after a few more words, they obliged, but with a few conditions."
"Exactly what conditions?" Sasuke asked the Sage Six Paths. "I shall explain," replied Hagoromo, "You will not be able to have your Rinnegon, you must unlock it naturally, and you are not allowed to have your Full Body Susanoo unless absolutely necessary. Also, you will not have your Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, but only regular Mangekyou, which you will have to evolve naturally as well."
Sasuke pondered these conditions. Why were these gods so content on keeping him in that much of a weakened state? Why didn't Hagoromo just resurrect him in the Five Elemental Shinobi Nations? Sasuke looked at the Sage and said, "Why not just bring me back to my original world?" Hagoromo gave him a saddened look, and replied, "Because of many reasons. One, you would be hunted down forever because of what you have done. Two, I would be breaking many rules, and Three, this other world could really use your help, Sasuke."
Sasuke couldn't understand. What rules, Hagoromo was basically a shinobi god! He could easily repel those rules! And why did this world all of a sudden need help!? It was able to repel this threat for so many centuries, why couldn't it keep up?! However, Hagoromo seemed to read Sasuke's mind, and said, "My boy, I may be a god, but even I have limits, and this world may not last much longer unless someone intervenes, and I believe you, Sasuke, may be what tips the scales."
Sasuke thinked hard. This was what he wanted! A second chance at life, another life where he could make amends for his previous life, where he could make everything better instead of worse. This time, he would be in the light, instead of in the darkness. But what if he messed up? What if he was destined to forever be in the darkness no matter what choice he makes? Suddenly, he thought of a certain pink-haired girl. This strengthened his resolve. He looked up at the white Sage, and said, "alright, I accept. And by the way, what is this world called?" "It is called Remnant," replied the Sage
In Mistral
Ruby was glad that they had finally gotten to Mistral. They had literally fought a rock giant, some crazy scorpion faunus who probably wasn't right in the head, found out that her silver eyes may hold a power that she never knew of before, Uncle Qrow gets poisoned and almost dies, and then they fight some ugly centaur-like grimm that can screech so loud, you wish that you had some ear muffs.
In any sort, they were finally catching a break, and Mistral was so- "Oh My God! Look at all the weapons!" Ruby was about to go weapon crazy when Uncle Qrow stopped her. "Hey kid, wait a sec, I wasn't finished talking! Anyways, as I was saying, at the bottom of Mistral are where the crooks mingle, which is where everyone preferably wants to stay away from, while at the very top is where luxury is."
This got Ruby wondering. If the weapons on the bottom level were this good, then what about the weapons up on the top level? They could be absolutely awesome! This got her bouncing with excitement. Why, she even felt like screaming out in excitement. She couldn't wait to go looking through those weapon stands!
Somewhere else in Mistral
"So, this is Mistral," Sasuke said to himself. As far as he could see, this mountain city could have some advantages if it were to be attacked. The people would have the high ground, and if it was true that these people were nothing like a shinobi, they would definitely need that advantage.
Sasuke pulled his black, hooded cloak closer to him, and tugged the hood on a little more over his head. He probably shouldn't attract any attention to himself. He has had the nasty luck before of having a handsome face that kept attracting girls, which Sasuke hated. Back then, they only liked him because of his looks, but if they truly got to know him, they would've run away screaming.
Sasuke looked around for a library for some history books, so that way he could learn more about this world called 'Remnant.' It took some time before Sasuke found one, somewhere in the middle of the mountain. Along the way, Sasuke noticed that this mountain was like a system. At the bottom was where the poor and criminals were most consistent, but in the middle, there weren't as many. Sasuke could bet that there wasn't any of those at the top. As he walked into the library, Sasuke looked around. There wasn't anyone here yet, save for the librarian, a medium-sized man with glasses, whom Sasuke paid no mind to. Sasuke immediately went to the back of the building and scrolled through the books until he found some history books, and then he took one rather big and thick, new-looking history book, and sat down on a nearby table.
Sasuke then activated his Sharingan. At least he still had that. Immediately he started flipping through the entire book, and finished reading the entire thing in only 3 minutes, thanks to the Sharingan. And in just those three minutes, Sasuke felt like raging. "Goddamn it!" Sasuke silently cursed to himself. Faunus, Semblence, Aura, White Fang, Dust, Grimm. However, these Grimm, or at least the smaller ones, like Ursa's and Wyverns and Nevermore were no threat to Sasuke at all. But what angered him was the racial discrimination between humans and faunus.
These faunus and humans should not be fighting each other, they should be fighting together. No wonder why this world would not be able to take on this Grimm threat. If they stayed divided, they would never defeat their one true enemy. They would be too distracted fighting each other that it would be easy for Grimm to destroy them, and if they did, Remnant would be doomed because of their arrogance and stupidity. However, this Aura and Semblence was rather interesting.
"So, these two things are a manifestation of the soul, and the semblance is related to that one person's personality. And this Aura protects the wielder and heals minor wounds. Interesting. Maybe I should hide my abilities even more now, it would not do to attract attention by baffling everyone because they think I have multiple Semblences," Sasuke said to himself. Suddenly, Sasuke heard a commotion outside. 'Maybe I should check that? No, it isn't my fight, might as well leave it,' Sasuke said to himself, 'But what would Naruto do?' Sasuke sighed as he got up to stop a commotion, deactivating his Sharingan.
He walked out to see four bandits cornering a kid, who looked to be at least Sasuke's age. He had dark skin and brown hair, gloves, a white shirt with brown overalls. The kid seemed to be standing his ground, as he tried his best to fight off the bandits, but it seemed he was having some difficulty. Sasuke flared his chakra to get his attention, and activated his Sharingan to give himself a more intimidating look. Anyone who was within a 5 meter radius from Sasuke would feel a dark aura, which Sasuke had developed due to his childhood
Immediately, the 4 bandits stopped, and started to shake, and turned around to see Sasuke, who to them looked like a man in a black cloak and hood, and they couldn't see his face, but they saw red eyes with three black coma's around his pupil, and they could literally feel a dark aura radiating from him, so dark that for a second they would've thought he was death.
One bandit, a small man with a dagger in each hand looked at him, and said in a shaky voice, "hey, uhh, we're a bit busy here!" a Second bandit, a man with a medium build and an eyepatch and holding a knife came up and supported his partner, and said, "Aye, so maybe you should go." However he managed to keep up a decent appearance, although Sasuke knew he was probably scared down to the bone. Impressive, guy was brave, Sasuke would give him that. Sasuke took one step forward, and immediately all four bandits took a couple steps backward. Good, that meant that Sasuke had achieved intimidation.
"I think you business here is done. Now if you four barbarians leave the kid alone, I'll just pass along," Sasuke said. However, calling them barbarians seemed to only anger them. The third Bandit, a light-skinned man with a scar across his cheek and a sword came a couple steps closer and in a defiant voice said, "Who're calling barbarians pipsqueak?" This got the fourth bandit, a guy who had a mask on with a hook for a hand, laughing nervously. "I'm not a pipsqueak, but I am the one that you should not take lightly," Sasuke said before moving so fast that the third bandit didn't even have time to react, before Sasuke karate-chopped his neck with plenty of strength, enough to shatter his aura and take him down. Immediately the fourth bandit charged forward, and swung his hook as Sasuke, who drew a kunai and parried his hook, then spun around and sweeped his legs out from under him, then Sasuke jumped forward and kicked the first bandit and sent him flying and crashing into a nearby stand that was selling potatoes.
The second bandit then not having any brains, charged forward like his hook for a hand partner, and Sasuke simply sidestepped his knife, and grabbed his arm as he charged by and easily flung him at hook partner who had just gotten up on his feet, only for his big partner to smash into him, and Sasuke was rewarded with both of their aura''s shattering. Sasuke looked around, deactivating his Sharingan, and looked at the first bandit and said, "Get away from here before I become bored with this fight and kill you all."
The bandit nodded, and rushed to his fallen comrade and ragged him away, while the other bandit had enough sense to leave, the second one seemed to not be able to bear this kind of defeat, because he turned around and threw his knife at Sasuke. "Pathetic," Sasuke said as he easily caught the knife before it could hit his neck, and threw it back with twice as much force, and watched as it impaled itself in the bandits neck, and he fell down dead.
Sasuke looked at the boy who looked at Sasuke, a bit surprised. "Are you alright?" Sasuke asked him. "Yeah, just a couple of scratches nothing to worry about, thanks for the help," The kid said while rubbing his head in an embarrassed way, "but I could've handled that, but still, thanks for the help." Then he stopped and it looked like he was thinking about what he was going to do for a second, and then held out his hand to shake, and said, "And by the way, my name's Oscar."
Sasuke looked at Oscar's hand, as if it might turn into a toad. Sasuke, then rather awkwardly, extended his hand and shook Oscar's. "Sasuke, Sasuke Uchiha."
