Hey, Dare211 here, I am here to say thank you all for your advice and support, this means so much to me and I assure you, in return you're gonna get a little more action in this chapter. Sasuke hadn't really gotten into much fights except with the bandits which was really brief, but I assure you a feat that he has never pulled off before will happen, and it will be EYE-catching(Pun intended). Also I am going to make this chapter a little longer than the previous one's. Anyway's enjoy it!

"Chidori!" Sasuke shouted as he completely demolished a large boulder, turning it into nothing but dust and rubble

Sasuke had been gone for 2 hours already, but he didn't feel like returning. When he left, he dashed and left the mountain Mistral in only a mere few seconds.

Sasuke was simply irritated.

Once he left, he started to test out his Genjutsu on a number of people, with the results mostly being unsatisfactory. Why wouldn't Genjutsu work on so many people! Not even the Genjutsu from the Mangekyou seemed to work, although it had better results.

And even then he had few positive outcomes

Either these people had some natural property that protected them from his Genjutsu or there was something wrong with his abilities. What could possibly protect them?! There was nothing wrong with his Sharingan! Or was there?

The last time Sasuke felt like this was when he was just a genin, after the fight with Gaara, Sasuke had questioned his growth. And right now, he started to question his abilities and his prized Dojutsu

Sasuke yelled out in frustration as he started chopping down a helpless tree with his kusanagi, all the while radiating his negative emotions

/

Ruby was a bit worried about Sasuke. He had suffered so much, and he was probably trying to forget about it, and all they did was end up bringing his painful childhood back!

Ruby began to fiddle with her precious Crescent Rose. Sasuke had been gone for 2 hours already, where in name's sake could he be!

Qrow seemed to sense that his niece wasn't feeling that good, so he got up from his chair and patted Ruby's shoulder.

"Don't worry kiddo, he may look young, but if anything he can take care of himself," Qrow told Ruby

Ruby looked up at her uncle with hopeful eyes and asked, "You think so?"

"Hell yeah, if what that kid said is true, he should be more experienced and skilled in a fight than you! He did say he was taught from a very young age how to fight," Qrow said, altough his face had a little skepticism in it, "But I will admit, he does look kinda suspicious to me."

Just Uncle Qrow's words comforted Ruby, and the building weight of guilt that was in her chest seemed to have lifted.

"Ok," Ruby said

Ruby set aside Crescent Rose and leaned it against the armrest, then looked at Oscar

Oscar had been making small talk with Jaune

"Ahem," Ruby cleared her throat, and Ozpin returned turned his head towards her

Ruby then asked, "So we are going to get the Relic?"

Ozpin nodded and said, "yes, that is correct although-"

Ozpin was interrupted by Nora who seemed to have already cooked up a strategy in that hyper head of hers and was jumping around excitedly

"This is perfect! I mean we were totally stuck at a dead end, but now, we can just take little cute boy Ozpin," She then started pointing at Oscar/Ozpin, "to Lionheart and have him set things straight!" She then went into a rather proud pose

"Please don't call me that," Ozpin said when Qrow piped in

"We're not sure that's the best idea," Qrow explained

"Aw man," Nora said as she sulked back to her seat groaning

"But thought all the headmasters took their orders from you," Ren said

"That was the intention," Ozpin started, "four lieutenants I can trust, especially during times of reincarnation. But Qrow told me about your meeting with Lionheart," Ozpin then got up and walked towards the center of the room, his arms behind his back in a formal fashion.

"He isn't just behaving irrationally," Ozpin said, "he's disobeying specific instructions that I had left him. Somethings wrong." Ozpin then looked at a picture of Mistral that was hanging on a wall and kept explaining

"I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I don't want to rule out any possibilities either," Ozpin said as he rubbed his chin in thought, "No one outside of this room knows that I've been paired with Oscar, and I think it may be best to keep it that way."

"Keep things close to the chest until we get a better hand," Qrow said

"Precisely," Ozpin confirmed, "Now we have two steps ahead of us. The first will be enlisting the aid of more Huntsmen."

"But the Mistral council-" Ren started when Qrow interrupted him, "-doesn't own every Huntsmen in the kingdom. And I've been here enough times to know where we can find some more."

"So long as they're trustworthy," Ozpin said

Qrow nodded and continued, "You can trust them to put up a good fight. I'll throw together a list tonight."

"Good luck with that," Nora said

"After that we can move on to step two," Ozpin said as he paced the room

Nora stood up and said, "What's that?"

Ozpin then pulled out his cane and said, "getting you four into fighting shape."

The four hunters looked at each other in confusion, and Ruby said, "But, uh, we already know how to fight."

Suddenly faster than anyone can react Ozpin had the tip of his cane just inches away from Ruby's face, and said, "You can only fight so long as you have Crescent Rose, but you're still lacking in hand-to-hand combat."

Ruby gave an embarrassed shrug and said, "Uh, yeah."

Ozpin then pointed his cane at Jaune and said, "Mr. Arc, I am glad to hear that you have improved, but sorry to say, you've yet to unlock your Semblance."

Jaune blinked before looking away

"You all still have a-ways to go before you are ready to pose any real threat against Salem and her forces. And though Oscar may give me temporary control, he'll need to strengthen his body and aura. He'll inherit my muscle memory in time, but practice will expedite the process."

Ruby piped in, "But if Qrow's out looking for huntsmen, then who's going to train us?"

Ozpin jumped backward and somersaulted and made a perfect landing on his chair and started twirling his cane, "Well, I believe I was the headmaster of Beacon Academy."

The four hunters looked at him, jaws wide and in awe

"And perhaps, if Sasuke is up to it, he could give you all a few tips," Ozpin added

Sooo, did this mean Sasuke was gonna stay? That was what got Ruby wondering.

"We have one month before classes resume at Haven, if Salem were to plan an attack, it would make sense that it would happen prior to the student's return. It's not much time but it's better than nothing. But just don't expect me to go easy on you." Ozpin said as he stopped twirling his cane.

Suddenly, Ozpin/Oscar shined like a green light bulb for a moment, and immediately Oscar returned.

Oscar suddenly lost his balance and fell backward, the chair falling backward with him.

Oscar groaned as he laid there, and said, "You've gotta be kidding me."

Qrow piped in, "So, you got one month of training, that doesn't make a lot of time, so you best get as much training as you can," And then pointed to the door, "All of you outside, I'll be out there in a second."

Everyone nodded, and Nora and Jaune helped Oscar up and hustled outside.

Ruby could hear Jaune groan and say, "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Sasuke had been mercilessly destroying the environment around, albeit a safe distance from Mistral.

He chopped down trees, burned down fields, and reduced boulders to rubble, and even then he wasn't satisfied with the destruction before him, and he had plenty of chakra to keep this up all week.

Sasuke set his sword down and sat down on a befallen tree that he had personally chopped down.

"Ok, that's enough, calm down, deep breaths," Sasuke coached himself as he tried to bring his rage, his frustration, and anger to a simmer. Sasuke had managed to let out some of his negativity, but there was still plenty more to pass around.

Wait a second

Sasuke sat up, and almost facepalmed himself.

"Didn't that history book say Grimm was attracted to negative emotions? And I just basically let them out like a tidal wave right now," Sasuke asked himself

Sasuke saw some good and bad things about this. With the grimm coming, he could simply take all his rage out on them. However, they were most likely heading towards Sasuke's location, thus near Haven, and if Sasuke Attacked with his emotions blazing, he would just attract more. Goddamnit! If he was gonna take out this threat, he was gonna have to destroy them all in an instant before more could come!

Sasuke looked at his waist for his storage scroll.

Wait, where was it!? Sasuke searched in vain, but his storage scroll was nowhere to be found. Crap, looks like he can't simply use the Shadow Shuriken technique to take them out, which probably left only one thing, which Sasuke didn't really look forward to.

Suddenly his instincts threw off an alarm, and Sasuke looked up to see three rather large ursa's come out of some foliage, followed by multiple beowolves.

"Oh great," Sasuke said, "I'll have to take these out first before I return back to Mistral. Let's make this quick."

The grimm hadn't noticed him yet

Sasuke breezed through his hand signs. Rat, Tiger, Dog, Ox, Hare, Tiger

Sasuke took aim and shouted, "Katon: Housenka no Jutsu!(Fire Style: Phoenix Fire Flower Jutsu!)"

Sasuke fired a volley of fireballs at the grimm, each exploding on impact. The small group of grimm didn't really stand a chance. However, three Beowolves, one of them an alpha, and an Ursa managed to survive. The Ursa looked at Sasuke, it's eyes filled with hate and rage, and it charged at Sasuke

Sasuke drew his kusanagi and started focusing chakra into it. Immediately Lightning Style Chakra formed and covered his hand and his sword, and the blue electric-charge blade extended longer and longer until it was almost 4 meters long.

Sasuke slashed and separated the Ursa's head off it's shoulders, and charged and chopped down the remaining Beowolves, his blade passing through them like a hot knife through butter.

Sasuke watched as their corpses vaporized into thin air, and turned around and sprinted back towards Mistral.

Ruby charged at Oscar and threw a punch at him, and Oscar blocked her punch and ducked when she followed up with a spin kick, then Oscar counter-attacked with an uppercut.

Oscar couldn't deny it, but he was getting the hang of this, and he was enjoying it!

Ruby dodged the uppercut, but then Oscar threw both a left and right hook, and Ruby managed to block both attacks before counterattacking, throwing a strong punch at Oscar. Oscar ducked, and Ruby lost her balance for a moment, before she corrected herself and tried to sweep Oscar's legs out from under him.

Oscar jumped back, dodging the attempted attack and charged forward, and threw a punch at Ruby, who quickly ducked and dashed behind Oscar, however before she could try to make a move, Oscar threw a kick at her, forcing her to back up.

Jaune and Nora watched, while Ren was sitting cross legged on the ground, meditating.

"Man, Ozpin wasn't kidding. Oscar's picking up on this stuff fast," Jaune observed.

Oscar cocked back his elbow and threw a punch that met its target, and the fist bashed into Ruby's cheek, making her twist backward a little, clutching her cheek, and then she looked at Oscar, looking a bit angry. Oh dear

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Oscar said before Ruby hit back, a punch to his nose that sent flying backwards and onto his back.

Jaune and Nora winced

"Ha! Yes! I did it!" Ruby said as she turned her back on Oscar and started jumping up and down in glee, then turned around and noticed that Oscar hadn't gotten up yet.

"Oscar?" Ruby asked concerned

"You forgot to engage your aura, again," Ozpin told Oscar as he clutched his head

"Well, why didn't you tell me?!" Oscar asked Ozpin in an annoyed tone

"Because this method makes you less likely to forget," Ozpin explained, "Mind if i give it a shot?" Ozpin asked as Oscar got up. Ozpin took over and sayed, "Not bad miss Rose, but Oscar doesn't quite have the years of training that you do. Or I do."

Ozpin closed his eyes, and activated his aura. Jaune and Nora both looked a bit surprised

Ruby backed up a bit perplexed and sputtered, "Oh, well, uh, maybe we should, uh, take a break?"

Ozpin charged forward and threw a right jab, and Ruby dodged it by backing up, but Ozpin didn't stop there. He kept jabbing, and it was only a matter of time, before Ruby was forced to block, and when she did, her left was open, and Ozpin punched on the opportunity

Ozpin struck Ruby's face, causing her to stumble backward

Ozpin then charged at Ruby and jumped and and faked another right jab, causing Ruby to become distracted, and Ozpin then followed up with a kick to her face while he was still in midair, causing Ruby to stumble and fall.

Ruby hit the ground in frustration and got back up, determined

She jumped up and got ready to throw a left cross, but Oscar simply ducked and then smashed his head into her chin, causing her to fly backward.

Jaune and Nora both winced again

"Ouch," Nora exclaimed

Ruby layed down on the ground, defeated

"The next time you want to throw a left cross, remember to push off with the appropriate foot. And as always, do be aware of openings," Ozpin lectured

"Got it," Ruby replied as slowly got back up

Ozpin gave control back to Oscar, and he collapsed unto his knees, panting

"Oh, hey, are you ok?!" Ruby asked as she rushed to his side

When Oscar managed to get his breath, he asked, "How is this so exhausting?"

Suddenly Ren spoke up, "Your Body isn't used to this kind of training, not to mention generating an Aura on your own. It takes intense concentration at first, but in time it will become second nature, allowing you to deflect attacks and gradually heal wounds. After that you can begin focusing on your Semblance, whatever that may be."

"Semblance?" Oscar asked as he stood up.

Suddenly, in a flash, Nora was at his side, and said, "You know! Like your very own superpower! Everybody's got one! It's just a matter of finding it and mastering it! Ruby moves super fast, Electricity makes me stronger, Ren can mask emotions, Sasuke had that uh, Sharingan-thingy, and Jaune has, uh, um,"

Jaune looked embarrassed as he said, "I can't do anything."

"Jaune's just like you!" Ruby said as she grabbed Oscar's arm and basically dragged him towards Jaune.

"He hasn't found his semblance yet, but we all know he will," Ruby said positively, before adding, "And you will too. We all just have to try and help each other get stronger."

Oscar looked at both Jaune and Ruby and said, "Cool"

"A common philosophy is that a warrior's Semblance is a part of who they are," Ren said as he looked at the trio, "Some say that your personality and character define your Semblance while others claim that it's the other way around. Of course, there are still many who don't see a connection at all."

" It's hard to know when you know sometimes," Nora chimed in, "Ren's semblance was unlocked from intense stress."

"And mine kicked in during training one day," Ruby said

"What about you?" Oscar asked Nora

Nora smiled and said, "Oh, well, I was struck by lightning. Didn't die. Crazy Thursday."

"I just don't understand what's wrong with me," Jaune said, "I train, I meditate."

Suddenly, Ozpin takes control and says, "Do not worry, Mr Arc. Your journey is far from over. And the same can be said for all of you. Unlocking your Semblance isn't the end, it can still grow and evolve. Providing that you are willing to put in the work. Who knows what could happen."

"Hey, does anyone feel that?" Nora asked

"What do you mean, Ms Valkyrie?" Ozpin asked as Oscar returned

"Just be quiet and listen for a second," Nora replied

Immediately, everyone went silent

"Wait, I feel something," Jaune said

"Me too," Ren confirmed

It was faint, but Ruby could still feel just a wisp of….dark emotion. And then in an instant it disappeared.

"Was that, Sasuke?" Ruby asked

Suddenly alarms went off throughout Mistral, signaling a grimm attack. Immediately, a speaker went off, "This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill, a large Grimm threat is nearing Mistral. All citizens are urged to calmly go to the nearest safety zones, and any available huntsmen are to report to the frontlines."

Suddenly Qrow came out with Harbinger on his shoulder

"Hope you guys had a nice warm-up, because we've got some company," Qrow said

/

Sasuke stood on a log near the walls surrounding Mistral, and the wall guards didn't seem to notice him, but were making preparations for war. Huntsmen, soldiers, heck, even a few armed-to-the-teeth bandits came to pitch in. But Sasuke knew that Mistral alone would not have been able to take on this threat.

Sasuke could see the soldiers from where he was, and he could see that some of them were shaking

Nevermore and lancers filled the sky, and on the ground, thousands of grimm, varying from beowolves and ursa's, to deathstalkers and giant snakes tore their way towards Mistral

Sasuke closed his eyes and began to focus. The amount of chakra that would be required to pull this off would drain him, and leave him incapacitated for 1 or 2 days at at least. And would probably leave his eyes blind if he pushed it too far.

Sasuke never attempted something like this, but now was not the time to hesitate. It was his fault that these grimm were here, and he was gonna make it his responsibility to stop them. Sasuke couldn't really use Susano because then it would give more time for the grimm's numbers to increase, so he was gonna have to annihilate them in a few seconds.

It sounded easy for Sasuke, but he knew that it would be the opposite. He was gonna have to use the Amaterasu to incinerate them. But we wouldn't be able to set the entire horde on fire at once, so he was gonna have to set the front lines ablaze and then use his Kagutsuchi to manipulate the flames into devouring the rest.

Sasuke sighed. Much easier said than done. MUCH easier.

Sasuke got ready, and focused, then opened his eyes, and Mangekyou glowed in all its glory.

Sasuke waited until the grimm were in range

Wait for it…

Wait for it…

NOW!

Sasuke widened his right eye as much as he could and looked at the entire horde

"AMATERASU!" Sasuke shouted at the top of his lungs, and was rewarded with the sight of almost ⅕ of the horde igniting into black flames, and almost all of the airborne grimm ablaze and plummeting downward

Then suddenly the pain came

It came roaring into his right eye like a tidal wave, and it was so intense that it drove Sasuke to his knees.

Sasuke clutched at his right eye and could feel blood leaking from his eyelids

"Goddamnit, it hurts so much!"

Sasuke never felt such pain in his right eye. It felt as if someone had stabbed his eye with over 100 needles and then set them on fire, and then took it out, poured boiling water and alcohol into his eye socket, then reinserted his eye back

Sasuke never feel this much pain, not even when he spammed the Amaterasu against Danzo

Sasuke tried to open his right eye, but it simply refused to open, and when he tried to stand back up, he collapsed again onto his knees.

"Goddamnit, get up!" Sasuke shouted at himself, and forced himself to stand and lean on the log that he was standing on. Sasuke opened his left eye, and saw that the Amaterasu had done what wanted to. Now it was the Kagutsuchi's turn.

Sasuke suddenly started coughing, and he felt the penny-flavored taste of blood drip from his mouth. Sasuke spit it out and focused on the horde. Sasuke widened his left eye and shouted, "DIE!"

Immediately the black flames on the ground went shooting forward like a tsunami, and started to engulf the horde. Sasuke managed to push up to devour half of the army before pain started shooting through his left eye, twice more intense than the one in his right, and blood poured out from his left eyelid as he closed his eyes in pain

Was this really his limit? Could he have so heavily overestimated himself like this? Sasuke was disappointed in himself. Then he realized something.

"If I cannot finish this, then I am a failure. My second chance all for nought. I WILL finish this! I WILL NOT leave it like this! I am Sasuke Uchiha, and I will not let you monsters LIVE!"

Summoning every iota of willpower he had, he forced his left eye to open, and was blinded by his own blood. He wiped it away, and focused everything he had into this one last final push.

"DIE!" Sasuke shouted as he sent the flames jumping over the rest of the horde, and falling over them like a blanket, covering them in black death. Sasuke knew that no grimm could survive that. Nothing could put those flames out, no not even if submerged in ice, they would forever burn until there was nothing left or if Sasuke willed it to go out

Sasuke immediately felt pain shoot through his body and left eye, and he collapsed, almost blacking out.

He had done it. He had pushed himself past his limits, and did something that he could only imagine doing. Sasuke smiled to himself, before he started coughing out more blood, and grimaced in pain.

"Hurry! We need to put those flames out!"

"It's not working! They won't go out!"

Sasuke hears them panic about how the flames he had created did not go out, no matter what they did.

Oops. Forgot about that.

The pain had dulled enough for him to open his right eye, and he looked at the black, burning, hot mass of flames, and he focused on them. Suddenly, the flames seemed to fade into nothing, but the pain increased in Sasuke's eye and body tenfold, causing him to cough up more blood and go onto his knees before he blacked out.
