Septem (Part 7)
*Let's Continue Where We Left Off*
Finally, after going through countless objects and fighting off the enemy army. Sonic and the rest have finally infiltrated the Palace of the United Empire.
"*Whites* It's exactly the same as the other one..." Sonic said
"You're sure this is the way, Jing Ke?" Nero asks
"This is the second time I've gone to the emperor. Don't worry, I promise I'll guide you to the throne without fail." Jing Ke replied
"The city sure looks familiar... It's impressive, they even replicated the palace in the interiors. When did they build it? Is this some sort of spell?" Nero said
"That's possible. It might have been the power of the Holy Grail." Romani said
"*Notices Enemies Up Ahead* There's no time to chit chat. The enemy's noticed us... They're not human." Jing Ke said
"Nor are they Servants. They're probably monsters created by magecraft." Romani replied
"Ugh, monsters huh? Whatever they may be, I am no longer afraid!" Nero shouted
"Master, it's enemy lifeforms... let's do this!" Mash said
"Right behind you, Mash! Let's do this everyone!" Sonic shouted
The group began charging toward the monsters who were a group of Golems. Nero lunges to a Golem and slashes her sword at it several times around its body, the Golem blocks each slash from Nero as it makes a fist and punches Nero. Nero quickly dodges it as she's skids away from the Golem and back to the group. Sonic jumps at one of the Golems and performs an Air Boost, surrounding himself in a fiery energy shield while in midair and propels himself forward at speeds beyond the sound barrier hitting the Golem at its stomach and throwing them to the wall which shakes the whole Palace and shatters the Golem before vanishing away.
Kiyohime summons fiery wings behind her as she flies towards a Golem. The Golem notices Kiyohime getting closer as it makes a fist and throws a punch at her. Kiyohime quickly dodges it and counters back breathing out fire towards the Golem and engulfing it in flames. Kiyohime then flies right at the Golem as she attacks it with her fan that shoots out a wall of flames, knocking the Golem down to the ground. Moments later, Sonic while curled into a ball and spinning attacks straight downwards to slam down on the Golem's head. shattering it to pieces before vanishing away. Sonic bounces back up to the air as he uncurls himself, Kiyohime grabbing Sonic's hand, spinning him around for a few moments before throwing him towards Medusa who was currently fighting a group of Golems herself.
Medusa looks behind and notices Sonic heading toward her. Manipulating her chains from her daggers, she extends them and swings them right at Sonic. Sonic grabs both chains as Medusa begins spinning Sonic around her and hitting each Golem. One by one, Sonic kicks each Golem in the face, knocking them down to the ground. After knocking each Golem down, Medusa swings Sonic up in the air and swings him down as rocket kicks one of the Golems head and shatters into pieces before vanishing. Medusa repeats the process several times around her Sonic shatters each Golems head as they vanish away soon after. After defeating the Golems together, Sonic gives Medusa a thumb up and Medusa returns the favour soon after before swinging him away to Martha.
Martha notices Sonic heading towards her way as she extends her arm and grabs Sonic's hand, putting him aside from her. Martha and Sonic notice a few Golems heading toward them at full speed. Sonic quickly curls into a ball and begins to rev up to speed while Martha begins to pray as her staff begins to glow. Sonic then dashes toward the Golems while Martha begins firing magical energy projectiles at the Golems. Sonic jumps to the air and homing attacks all four Golems, hitting them like ping balls before jumping to the air where the energy shots hit each Golem soon after and dropping them to the ground. Mash and Jing Ke rush in as Mash slams her shield down at the open of the golems and crushes its head, shattering it into small pieces before vanishing away while Jing Ke stabs her knife at one of the Golems and slashes its head off its body, rolling on the ground before vanishing away. Martha fires more magical energy shots at the Golems as they all hit the Golems again and shattering some parts of their bodies with pieces flying around. Nero and Sonic both rush in as Nero slashes one of the Golems several times before slashing its head and its body before vanishing. Sonic performs A horizontal aerial kick and knocks the Golem's head off its body as it rolls on the ground before vanishing away. The Golems were all defeated soon after.
"Alright, that's the last of them. Now come on, let's go me this guy who claims he's Rome himself." Sonic said
*A Couple Minutes*
After fighting off the Golems, Sonic and the group have finally reached their destination. Meeting Romulus "...Here you are, my beloved child."
"Mhm, I am here! O proud founder of our great nation, King Romulus!" Nero replied
"...Splendid radiance. In that case, should I call out your name "Emperor?" Romulus asks
"Oh, there's no need. Call me what you did just now... Whether it's the past, the present, or the future. I am the one and only Fifth Emperor of the Roman Empire! Holy Progenitor, O King Romulus! I hereby challenge you with my warriors, my swords!" Nero replied
"I'll allow it, Nero Claudius. Show me you can trample over Rome's love with your love. Behold. My spear... "Rome" is here!" Romulus shouted
"And behold "Sonic" is here!" Sonic said
Sonic moves his legs in a pattern similar to the infinity symbol, building up speed before accelerating to speeds while coated in a blue aura. Sonic then punches Romulus on his stomach and sends him flying to the palace's wall, making him go through it and creating a huge hole in the wall. Moments later, Romulus geet's back up from the ground as he charges at Sonic and swings his spear at him several times at him. Sonic dodges Romulus's attacks and counters back by crouching and low sweeping Romuluisu, knocking him down to the ground. Nero rushes in as Sonic performs a somersault kick, throwing Romouls into the air, Nero jumps at Romulus and slashes him several times, leaving scratch marks and making him bleed before kicking him away from her back to the ground. Romulus roars at he quickly gets back up and dashes towards Nero, swinging his spear at her several times but Nero blocks each strikes Romouls tries to land on her but Nero slides back and then stabs Romulus through the stomach as he spits out blood and spewing out of him as well. Nero then kicks Romoulus away from her as blood is now covered in blood. Nero whips her sword to remove the blood off her sword and charges at Romulus once again swings her sword down at Romulus. Romulus quickly blocks it with his spear as he kicks Nero away from him and lunges right at her and strikes her several times before slashing her away toward's Sonic. All of a sudden, Medusa appears behind Romulus and stabs him with her daggers on his neck and performs an overhead axe kick on Romulus's head, knocking him down to the ground. Martha begins praying as she fires several magical energy shots at Romulus. Medusa grabs Romulus by the neck and aims him at the oncoming energy shots. Moments later, Romulus is bombarded by the magic shots as they explode on impact around his body and leave severe injuries behind as well. Medusa then kick's Romulus towards Martha as she swings her staff at Romulus and knocks him away towards Kiyohime. Kiyohime swings her fan at Romulus and fires a wall of flames at Romulus, engulfing him in flames. Kiyohime then jumps away as both Mash and Nero rush towards Romulus. Nero swings her sword while Mash swings her shield at him as well. together, the two crushes Romulus as Romulus vomits out blood before falling to the ground.
"Looks like "Rome" lost to us!" Sonic mocking Romulus
"To be defeated by a creature...Your love, is so dazzling, Nero. My eternal crimson and gold empire. I entrust it all to you and your heirs. Don't forget. Rome is eternal. Therefore, the world must always be eternal. Remember that..." Romulus said before vanishing
"We've defeated the enemy Servant, Lancer Romulus. Victory is ours." Mash said
"He put up a great fight. But there had a big one saying in the end." Sonic commented
"We won? In that case.. ...Umu. Rome shall be restored to its former glory." Nero said
"That's true, more or less, but we still haven't found that Court Mage. We've got to search for the Holy Grail." Romani replied
"Hmm? But the United Empire has already met its end. Isn't that right, Unseen Mage?" Nero said
"That's certainly true, give or take. But unless we secure the Holy Grail, our purpose will be–"
"*Senses Something* Wait, someone's there." Jing Ke said
Moments later, the infamous Leff appears in front of the group. Sonic looks at Leff as he makes a fist.
"You again..." Sonic said
"Hello there Mr. Sonic. Long time no see. It looks like you obtained Servants as well. I'm happy about how far you came. I didn't think I'll ever see you again. No, seriously... seeing you alive makes my blood boil. You should've died back in Fuyuki alongside side Mash and that pathetic Olga. To think a rodent-like you took out Romulus. You're hiding more than what you are showing." Leff said
"*Squeezes Fist* You can be annoyed at me all you want. But you do not bring my best friends to this conversation." Sonic replied
"Even though you took down many Servants while on the way here. You'll still never surpass the power of the Holy Grail.
"Is that the Court Mage? Then that golden chalice he has is–" Nero said
"Yes, that's the Holy Grail. It looks similar in shape to the one we saw before..." Mash replied
"Who could've thought a Court Mage would ignore his king's crisis. I guess betrayal is second nature to you now, Professor Lev? Actually, perhaps this is the real you? You seem more energetic than when you were at Chaldea." Romani said
"Hand over the Holy Grail now Leff!" Sonic demanded
"Looks like your showing your anger for the first time. I hear you did quite a bit in France. Thanks to that— I really got yelled at! I would've been back at the Temple already, but I got sent back out! As a result, I am here to do some clean-up. My plan was to give the Grail to a fitting fool, then enjoy what would unfold. But you ruined that again." Romani replied
"...I see. Find a human or a Heroic Spirit who wants to plunge an era into madness. Then if you give them the Grail, that era would surely drive itself into madness. That's what happened in France, but this time—" Romani said
"Yes, the Holy Progenitor Romulus, did not wish for the downfall of mankind. That's why—" Mash said
"You have no other choice but to interfere yourself. That's quite ironic, Professor Lev. In this era, the only betrayer of mankind is you." Romani said
"Shut it you little shit. I never had any hope for humans in the first place. That goes for this rodent as well, who has no intention of being in this world and trying to save it anyway. You think you can stop me, Lev Lainur, just because you defeated a few Servants?" Leff said
"Well of course I can stop you. I fought many enemies in my lifetime. Not just Servants here." Sonic replied
"*Groans* Your attitude is annoying to no end. I don't understand why people even team up with someone like you. Besides, I think you people misunderstand something. Recover the Grail, repair the Singularity, protect mankind— Protect humanity? —Idiots. There's nothing you can do. There's no point in struggling. The end is certain. You're insignificant, worthless!" Leff shouted
"Is trash-talking your only useful skill?" Sonic asks
"Damn you, rodent! You will perish in sorrow! Allow me to show you the favour of our King!"
Moments later, Leff begins to transform into a giant pillar with giant red eyes in all areas of the pillar.
Fou! Fooou! (Looks like you made him even angrier Blue.)" Fou said
"Man you look even uglier than before," Sonic replied
"What's that creature! It's ugly! It's as ugly as the blue rodent here! Haha! Hahahaha! That's right! That ugliness will be your undoing!" Leff shouted
"...This signature, this amount of magical energy... That's not a Servant, not even a Phantasmal! Could that be—could that be an actual "Demon" from legends?" Romani said
"Allow me to introduce myself again. I am Lev Lainur "Flauros! One of the Seventy-Two Demon Gods! The Demon God Flauros– This is the true favour of our King!"
"How disgusting... You are the reincarnation of evil!" Nero shouted
"A giant pillar of flesh protruding out of the ground? A large amount of magical energy... Doctor!" Mash shouted
"...Flauros. He did say Seventy-Two Demon Gods. In that case, the King he speaks of is— No, there's still not enough information. That's impossible, Demon Gods do not exist!" Romani shock
"...Fou! Kyu, kyu, kyu, kya!"
"We don't know the details, but that thing is dangerous. Here it comes! We've got to take it out!" Romani shouted
"Master, let's do this!" Mash shouted
"Wait... I rather not let anyone get killed by the hands of this monster. Let me handle this." Sonic replied
"Sonic... what are you doing?! This is suicide you're walking into!" Romani shouted
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing," Sonic replied
*Fate/Grand Order OST - Grand Battle Theme Begins To Play*
Sonic slowly walks up to The Demon God Flauros while raising his right hand up in the air. Moments later, the Turquoise colour Chaos Emerald appears on his hand as he stops in front of Demon God Flauros.
"What is he doing?" Nero asks
"Senpai!" Mash shouted
"Haha! Hahahaha! Do you expect that gem of yours to stop one of the Seventy-Two Demon Gods? How delusional do you have to be?" Demon God Flauros said
Sonic smirks and closes his eyes as the Chaos Emerald begins to shine bright. Everyone covers their eyes from the bright light hitting them.
"What's happening?!" Nero shouted
"I don't know!" Mash replied
"Master!" Kiyohime shouted
"This light is something I've never seen before..." Martha said
"Whatever you're doing Master. Don't hurt yourself!" Medusa shouted
"GAH! This light... why the hell is it this bright?!" Demon God Flauros said
"Chaos... Control!" Sonic shouted
Moments later, the Chaos Emerald shines brighter as time freezes around Sonic, including Demon God Flauros as well. Demon God Flauros stood motionless in front of Sonic as the light dies down and everything was silent. Nero, Mash, and the others slowly look at Sonic and notice the Pillar stuck in its place.
"W-What happened?" Mash said
"*Looks Back* Chaos Control. I manage to stop time for a brief period of time. So now we can easily fight this creep no problem." Sonic replied
"W-What?! Sonic, that's impossible! How?!" Romani shock
"Chaos Emeralds are more powerful than what you think my good old buddy Roman. Now then, *Aims The Chaos Emerald At The Group As Auras Cover Medusa, Kiyohime, and Martha.*"
"W-What did you do, Master?" Kiyohime asks
"With the Chaos Emerald, I increased all three of your strengths to staggering levels," Sonic replied
"I... do feel an increase in my strength," Medusa said
"This is something, unlike anything I've ever felt before," Martha said
"*Giggling* With this new level, now no one will ever take away Master from me." Kiyohime said
"Less time talking, more time-fighting. We don't have much time before time continues to move on. So let's do this!" Sonic said
The three look at each other and nod as they all quickly charge towards the giant pillar. Medusa's daggers charge up with Chaos energy as she slashes several eyes of the pillar, destroying them with ease. Medusa continues to destroy each eye of the pillars as Martha fires chaos energy shots at the giant pillar causing massive explosions at the pillar once they contact it. The explosions blew off pieces of the pillar as they fall around the pillar. Kiyohime flies right towards the pillar and breathes out flames that was even stronger than before. She flies around the pillar while breathing fire at it and burning it with the extreme heat of the flames. Sonic curls into a ball and homing attacks around the giant pillar, helping Medusa destroy the eyes as fast as well. Mash quickly rushes in and swings her shield at the pillar multiple times around it, damaging it as much as she can well. Nero watches Sonic and the others were fighting the pillar as fast as they can. Nero soon gets in her fighting stance as she charges up her sword. She stays like this for a few seconds until she lunges towards the giant pillar and slashes it several times with powerful sword swings. Nero then charges once more and stabs the giant pillar as it explodes on impact and Leff reappears soon after. The time then unfreezes itself and everything continues to move as normal.
"Had enough yet?" Sonic said
"Do you really think you can repel one of the "Gods?" No, this is a simple miscalculation. That's right, that must be it. It's been too long since I left the Temple. My cells are starting to die off. But, I am entrusted with the mission to incinerate the future. It's not as if I didn't have a contingency plan." Leff not accepting defeat
"Is something else coming?" Mash said
"Watch out! I'm detecting the Holy Grail's activation! Everyone, Something's about to happen!" Romani shouted
"...By sacrificing ancient Rome, I have managed to summon the strongest hero. Rejoice, Emperor Nero Claudius. This one is truly fit to bring the demise of Rome." Leff said
"Rome is the world, and the world shall never come to an end!" Nero shouted
"Even pride is nothing more than ultimate stupidity if misdirected, huh? See with your own eyes, the end of your world! We'll pull the bottom out on humanity! We'll destroy one of its seven foundations! –By the esteemed words of our King! Come forth! The great hero of destruction, Altera!" Leff shouted
Moments later, a Servant appears in front of Sonic and the group. Altera... a beautiful tan-skinned girl with red eyes and white, veil-like hair under her actual white veil. Her body is carved with the white marks of war and tattoos of combat.
"Hmph... is that all you can you do?" Sonic said
"Kill. Destroy. Incinerate. With your power, burn Rome and this Singularity to the ground! Hahaha! It's over, Romani Archaman! Your dream of continuing Humanity is nothing but a dream! This Servant is the ultimate destroyer! Altera is a Heroic Spirit, but her power–"
"–Silence," Altera said
"Huh?"
All of a sudden, Altera slashes Leff in half as blood spews out everywhere.
"What the!?" Sonic shock
"What? Lev Lainur's signature has disappeared!" Romani shouted
"He...He was cut in half by the Servant he summoned! Her True Name is Altera. She's probably a Saber. Altera has the Grail! It's being absorbed...huh? She's absorbing it..." Mash shouted
"I am– A warrior of the Hun. And, it's King. I am the King of Destruction, the one who destroyed the western world. Destruction–" Alteria said
"I've got a bad...feeling about this! Mash, something's going to happen. Even I can tell!" Nero shouted
"Huge spike in her magical energy signature! This must be her Noble Phantasm–an Anti-Fortress level at that!" Romani shouted
"Master!" Mash shouted
"I got it! Chaos... Control!"
Moments later, Altera unleashes her Noble Phantasm at the group.
*Outside*
After the attack from Altera, Sonic and the others teleported outside the palace just in time before being taken out by Alteria's Noble Phantasm.
"Is everyone okay?" Sonic asks
"We are all fine, Senpai," Mash replied
"As good as ever." Jing Ke replied
"That wasn't a fun experience, Master," Kiyohime replied
"Yea, we're fine. We owe you big time for saving us." Nero replied
"Right. With the power of that Chaos Emerald Sonic is holding, he totally saved everyone's butt. Boudica, you came along as well?" Romani noticing Boudica
"I guess so... Teleporting like that isn't what I'm used to. Man, I'm going to be sick. I ran in to raid the palace from the entrance, only to sense this vast amount of magical energy, so I rushed to attempt to release my Noble Phantasm's True Name before I got teleported as well alongside you guys." Boudica replied
"I couldn't have blocked that with my Noble Phantasm alone. Again, thank you Senpai for saving us once again." Mash said
"Don't mention it. However, we still have that Servant we need to take care of." Sonic replied
"What are we going to do about that? Lu Bu and Spartacus were rampaging around the palace entrance and unfortunately got hit by that light. We can't count on them anymore. We've gotten this far..." Boudica said
"So those two didn't teleport with us? Gah... I let down two allies..." Sonic sad
"It's okay, Sonic. Those two knew their time would come again. Don't let that bother you too much." Boudica replied
"I know..." Sonic said
"Altera was the name, right? Altera was the name, right?"
"Already started her advance from the United Empire's capital. Judging from the direction, she's heading for Rome." Romani said
"In that case, is she planning to burn my capital to ash?" Nero said
"I'd imagine so. Plus, she has that ability. Even if you're left alive, with the capital destroyed, Rome will disappear as well. Or she might come to kill you after she destroys the capital." Romani replied
"Either option is rejected. I have no intention of allowing Rome or myself to fall." Nero said
"Then we have to defeat Altera. But can we...even stand up to her? Her magical energy is tremendous. It reminded me of the sacred sword in Fuyuki... And we had a powerful Caster helping us back then. Now..." Mash said
"You can't do it, Mash?" Nero asks

"I would like to think otherwise. Sonic, Mash, and Sonic's comrades have saved me multiple times. You were talking about gods and the like, I'm certain the gods and fate are on our side. That's why Sonic and the rest of you came here. My wish shall see its fruition. Rome will be saved. My people and my Rome will be left for future generations. I'm sure of it. The Holy Progenitor said so as well. I heard it. The world must be eternal. Rome must continue on eternally. Even if its name will someday be forgotten, the many seeds Rome planted will continue on in different forms. The eternal empire will continue to exist. Even if it's emperor, state, and name change. It is the innate truth that mankind will continue to thrive. The tree of life that is humanity. Sonic. am sure that is the "Humanity" you are trying to protect." Nero said
"..."
"What?" Kiyoohime said
"Very interesting speech," Martha said
"I don't know how to react to that," Medusa said
"Very interesting speech, Nero," Sonic said
"...Emperor Nero. I don't understand what you're trying to say." Boudica commented
"I see. Honestly, I don't either." Nero said
"I understood it a little. At least I think I did. Even if something's clear and defined fades, as long as the world exists, its memes will remain." Mash said
"Fou!"
"How about thinking more romantically? Nero's words gave me strength. She's confident that we can fight Altera. That's why the world won't end. That's why the world won't end. Although there's no real basis for it– Although there's no real basis for it– Sonic, what do you think?" Romani asks
"Did you forget already? *Holds Up The Chaos Emerald* Also, Let's put all our faith in Nero as well." Sonic replied
"The Chaos Emerald! Just how powerful is that?!" Romani said
"Very powerful... that's why I'm collecting them as fast as I can before someone else grabs them. Also, It seems that Emerald's energy also shares its energy with Servants. Could it be that the Chaos Emeralds and Servants' energy
"If that's the case, then those Emeralds share something in common with Servants that only Sonic knows of." Romani said
"...Got it. Then I will put my faith in your words Senpai." Mash said
"I hate that one called Altera far more than Emperor Nero," Boudica said
"I don't really get what's going on, but I think it's safe to believe in Nero Claudius's luck." Jing Ke said
"Oh, hey there Jing Ke, where did you disappear off to?" Nero asks
"I was observing–Altera. It looks like she's slowly advancing. We can catch up if we leave now. That is if you all want to." Jing Ke replied
"We just came to a conclusion on that. Nice timing, there. Well then everyone, time to head out! Let's get the Grail back and save the world! ...At least that was the plan until a second ago. I am picking up a major magical energy signature. It must've be drawn to the power of the Grail when it connected with Altera–Phantasmals, it's the wyverns!" Romani shouted
"Wyvern again huh? There like Egghead's robots. They just never give up." Sonic commented
"Wyvern? What's that? A monster out of a fairy tale?"
"Now I'm picking up multiple magical energy signatures. Is she attracting monsters just by walking? Is she summoning them? I don't know the details, but they're closing in fast!" Romani shouted
"I never thought I'd be fighting dragons," Nero said
"We're used to it. Senpai, are you still able to do that Chaos Control moves where you are able to stop time for a period of time?" Mash asks
"Of course, I can! Allow me to stop these Dragons. *Raises Chaos Emerald* Chaos Control!" Sonic shouted
The Chaos Emerald begins to glow brightly as the
"I really want to say "good work," but more are coming. Several times more than before–" Romani said
"Wh-What? Several times? That's pretty wild." Nero said
"You did your job Sonic. Now allow us to care of these, Jing Ke are you ready?" Boudica asks
"Monsters aren't my specialty. But I should take on non-human enemies for a change." Jing Ke replied
"W-Wait, Boudica, Jing Ke, what do you mean take them on? You're coming with us." Nero asks
"Exactly. You go on ahead already." Boudica replied
"What are you saying–"
"GuOOOOOO–!"
"Go! You stupid emperor! Never mind this, go protect what you call your world!" Boudica shouted
"...Apologies. My worthy rival, Queen of Britannia." Nero apologizing
"That's right everyone. No time to look back, we're close to where Altera is..." Romani said
*With Altera*
Sonic, Nero, Mash, Kiyohime, Martha, and Medusa soon find Altera and
"An animal leading a group? ...Are you going to stand in my way?" Altera said
"That's why we're here. To take down you and save this place!" Sonic replied
"Yes, I'll stand in your way. I can't allow you to advance further, no matter what. You said that you would destroy the world. I don't understand. Why would you say that you were going to destroy the world? The world is brimming with beauty. Flowers, songs, gold, love... That's right, above all, this Rome, this world is filled with my love. And you'd destroy it? Don't you find that wasteful Altera, or whoever you are?" Nero said
"I am... A warrior of the Hun. A warrior of the Hun. A King of Destruction, who will bring destruction to the western world." Altera said
"That again? How sad Altera, but even that sadness seems beautiful to me. I can't just leave you like this. I feel great pain and contradiction in your life. Perhaps your power exceeds mine, but know that you cannot defeat me in love." Nero said
"I know not of love, I know not of beauty," Altera replied
"What are you trying to say?" Sonic asks
"Doctor, those words are different from before. It seems like she's not responding automatically." Mash asks
"This reaction... I see, she's going out of control by becoming one with the Grail! This isn't good, talking is not going to end this. Magical energy signature rising. You have to stop her before she unleashes it again. You have to stop her before she unleashes it again. Mash, Sonic, Kiyohime, Martha, Medusa!" Romani shouted
"Let's do this everyone!" Sonic shouted
Sonic dashes at Altera and performs a backwards roundhouse kick, hitting Altera on her head and disrupting her unleashing her Noble Phantasm. Altera quickly recovers herself as she dashes at Sonic and swings her sword at him several times. Sonic quickly backflips to the air, curls into a ball and homing attacks Altera. Altera blocks Sonic's homing attack and slashes him away from her. Sonic land's on the ground as Altera aims her sword at the sky, charging it up and firing three colour beams at Sonic. Sonic slides under it as the beams hit the ground and exploded on impact.
Medusa rushes towards Altera and begins slashing her several times. Altera blocks the strikes but was being pushed further and further away due to the force of Medusa's attacks. Medusa then quickly finds an opening and strikes Altera, stabbing her in the stomach before kicking her away. Kiyohime suddenly appears behind Altera with fiery eyes as she grabs Altera by the neck before breathing out fire at Altera's face and burning her face. As Kiyohime continues to burn Altera's face, Sonic in his Burst form rushes in and explodes, sending Altera flying to the air. While in the air, Sonic flies right at Altera and slams down on Altera as both begin falling straight down to the ground in high speed. At the ground, Mash gets underneath the two as he aims her shield right above her as Altera slams on it and crushes her from biot front and back. Sonic than charges up again and explodes, throwing Altera away from both him and Mash. Martha notices Altera weaken and trying to get back up as she prepares for her attack.
"Please stand back Master! Noble Phantasm... O', Tragic Drake Who Knew Naught of Love... Like a star!"
Moments later, Martha black flips as Tarasque appears in front of her. Martha then swings her staff at Tarasque as she sends Tarasque flying toward Altera like a falling dodgeball. Altera notices Tarasque heading toward her as she raises her sword in front of her Tarasque hits her and soon causes a massive explosion at her. Sonic watches as Altera is completely destroyed by the explosions caused by Tarasque. Moments later, once everything died down, Altera is seen injured from the scratch and burnt marks as she was kneeling down on the ground. She then notices Sonic staring at her down.
"To be defeated by someone like you... I see. In this world... There are things that cannot be destroyed, even... by my sword. I was called, the Scourge of God... Sword of Mars...can't... Well, that... Makes me...a little happy..." Altera said before vanishing away
"We did it, Master. Our mission was a success!" Medusa said
"Victory is truly in our hands," Martha said
"A job well done," Kiyohime said
"Altera..." Sonic said
"But...is it over? Have you obtained that Holy Grail..." Nero asks
"Yes, we've obtained the Holy Grail. This concludes our mission. Thank you very much, Nero Claudius." Mash said
Moments later, Mash, Sonic, Kiyohime, Martha, and Medusa all began to slowly faint away.
"Wait, all of you are looking faint! Don't tell me you're going to vanish too! ...I see, you're all going to vanish..." Nero said
"It was nice knowing you, Nero. But I have a world to save." Sonic replied
"...I had a feeling. My intuition is pretty sharp, you see. You're going to disappear like Altera, my uncle, and the Holy Progenitor. Boudica, will you, as well? Jing Ke, Lu Bu, Spartacus?" Nero asks

Moments later, Sonic, Mash, Kiyohime, Medusa, and Martha all teleported back to Chaldea.

"Welcome back and good job all. You retrieved the Grail." Romani said
"W-Wait what? Since when did we retrieve the Grail?" Sonic asks
"I'll explain. The Grail is the law that decides how magical energies in a dimension is used. Think of it as a world's rules. It normally doesn't have a form, but Lev crystallized it into one. We can't analyze its workings, but we can seal it away. I fiddled with Mash's shield a little and created a space for the Grail." Da Vinci explaining
"My shield can do that?" Mash asks

"Ok, Grail's retrieval is confirmed~ Try your best to search for the next one! And also, Sonic, did you find what you were looking for as well?" Da Vinci asks

"Wonderful! Soon enough, the remaining ones will be discovered very soon." Da Vinci said
"This is our second Grail as well and we've also achieved our original goal of finding Lev," Romani said
"But Lev is dead..." Sonic replied
"...that's right. Altera killed him, and we never found out what his plans were." Romani said
"..Do you mean why he betrayed mankind and tried to...destroy it?" Mash asks

"Well, I certainly do feel a little tired from all the walking and running," Martha replied

"Don't worry about me Dusa, I can go on fighting and running for a long time. Besides, tired isn't in my vocabulary." Sonic replied
"*Giggles* Just by your response, I can totally think of that. Now then, please excuse me, Master." Medusa said before walking away
"Rest as much as you can, Master. We don't want you to get sick from all the stress." Martha said
"You got it, Martha!" Sonic replied
Martha soon part's ways with Sonic, Mash, and Kiyohime as well.
"Before I go, For your hard work, Master. I should award with something." Kiyohime said
"An award? What kind of award?" Sonic asks
Kiyohime walks up to Sonic and gives him a kiss on the cheek once again. Sonic look's at Kiyohime who smiles at him before parting ways as well.
"*Rubbing His Cheek And Sighs* Just ignore it Sonic, every Servant has different traits and backgrounds that make them who they are right now," Sonic thought
Sonic look's back at Mash who had a sad expression on her face.
"Let me, thinking about Nero?" Sonic said
"...Yes. Our parting with Nero was so sudden. I feel bad about leaving her... Even if it ended up never happening, in that last moment, she was alone. She defeated the people she respected and said goodbye to her rivals... She was left all alone in that huge empire with no one to rely on." Mash replied
"So you think Nero feels lonely after all of us disappeared?" Sonic said
"No, I don't think so. ...I'm sure that's not right. It was a hard battle, yes. We almost died many times, and I'm still scared of fighting. But... it was a fun journey. Partially thanks to Nero's glamour, but... It was a lot of fun." Mash replied

"B-But I saw you while I was over trying to fix the Singularity. And you told me that you never remembered me being your Master." Sonic said
"There was another me you spotted? Don't be ridiculous Master, only one lucky Master can obtain me. And that lucky Master is you!" Elizabeth said
Sonic just stares at Elizabeth for a few seconds before rubbing his head and walking past Elizabeth.
"Maybe a rest would help me forget about this nonsense." Sonic walking away
"*Watches Sonic Walk* *Giggles* That's my Master. Allow me to sing you a soothing song to better help you with your rest. *Follows Sonic Behind.*" Elizabeth said
