Book Water
Winter Solstice Part 1 The Spirit World.
Water.
Earth.
Fire.
Air.
Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world.
(Line Break)
1:39 - 2:03 (remember the cast doesn't see the title, it creates mystery)
"Uh look at those clouds, they look so fluffy."
"Hold Up, who's talking!?" Natsu asks everyone in the cinema.
"What's wrong big brother?" Shoto ask.
"I'm with Natsu, who talks while there is a movie or show playing in the theatre room?" Fuyumi said.
"Big Brother, Big sister, everyone has been talking and reacting, since we entered the theatre," Shoto said. "Did you two didn't react and talk when you guys were watching?"
The two siblings looked at each other not sure what to say.
"Natsu, I know we shouldn't talk while we're watching, but if everyone is doing the same thing, I think we should react too, for the sake of being here," Fuyumi said.
"Fine, I guess it is true what they said, If you can't beat them, join them," Natsu said as the show continues.
2:03 - 2:22
The audience just sweat drops by the Avatar's action. Only Kosei laughs at his idol's actions.
Tenya just pinch the bridge of his nose. "Why am I not surprised. Aang would have done that."
"Hey don't worry Ida, there was nothing to worry about, Aang is an Airbender. At least they now know what clouds are made of water." Izuku said.
Natsu hopes that his future Brother-in-Law doesn't talk much when we watch movies in the mere future.
2:22 - 2:33
The whole theatre room got silent for what they were seeing.
"That who part of the Forest is black," Ibara said. They brace themselves for what is to come.
2:33 - 2:50
"Of Course, the Fucking Fire Nation cause this, who else starts a Forrest fire!" Togaru ranted out to what he was seeing.
"Why would the Fire Nation do this, shroom?" Kinoko asks.
"Why wouldn't they, their villains." Vlad King said. "Villains would cause a forest fire for the heck of it." The villains felt offended by what the blood hero said.
Aizawa looked closely at the footprints, "I don't think it's that simple Vlad, look at the footprints, it looked like the Fire Nation soldiers."
"The footprints, what about them?" he asks.
"I don't think the Fire Nation did this for the sake of villainy, I think they were fighting someone, or something and the results are unclear but it does cause a forest fire," Aizawa said.
"Something? Someone? This coming from you, I thought you be more logical, I don't think there's a fight, Aizawa, There's no way that's possible."
"And yet, a Flying Bison, the Unagi, abilities that ain't quirks, and the Avatar exist." Aizawa's clever comeback to Vlad King makes the blood hero take a step back. "A lot of this world is very different from ours. I think you need to take the wisdom of King Bumi, You have to open your brain to see the possibilities. There is no telling what causes the Fire Nation to cause a forest fire, For now until we get to see more answers, I suggest we keep watching to find out.
2:50 - 3:01
Kosei couldn't help but feel bad for Aang. "Aang this forest wasn't your fault," he said trying to comfort the Young Avatar.
"Tsuburaba is right, This isn't your fault Aang," Izuku said. Feeling sympathy towards the Young Avatar. Izuku knows exactly what Aang is feeling, he feels it too.
He remembers once when he asks All Might a question, Was there ever a time you really couldn't save someone?
His idol replies with, yes. Plenty of times. Right now, somewhere out in the world… someone could be hurting or dying.
Just like Izuku and All Might they may have One For All, but it didn't mean they can save everyone everywhere, the same with Aang. He might be the current reincarnated self of the Avatar, doesn't mean, The Avatar can be in all place where people needs him, right now, there could be people wanting help from the Avatar at this exact moment, and it's been like that for the last 100 years.
"Don't beat up yourself, Aang. there was no way you could have known about this forest." Izuku said trying his best to comfort Aang.
3:01 - 3:09
Everyone raised an eyebrow at what Aang said.
It's the Avatar's job to protect nature.
The Heroes remember their early conversation about the duties of the Avatar, and what makes it different from the duties and responsibilities of Pro Heroes.
Aizawa, Kan, and Kayama had a conversation back in Kyoshi. Their conversation was about the similar duties and responsibilities of Pro Hero and Avatar, such as saving lives, stopping crime, or in Aang's case replacing the word, 'crime' with stopping the war and preventing the victory of the Fire Nation.
It's only when Aang mentioned that it's the Avatar's duty to protect nature, True, they have Heroes such as the Wild Wild Pussycats who are experts in mountain rescue and protect the animals in the area. But protecting nature such as forests and the ocean sounds like a different profession, and yet protecting nature is Avatar's duty.
They felt like their going to get more answers in this episode.
3:09 - 3:33
Even though that Team Avatar is going to the North Pole to learn Waterbending for Aang and Katara, there is no teacher to teach Aang to be the Avatar.
"It sucks, even if Aang masters all four elements he wouldn't know the first thing to be the Avatar. He doesn't have a teacher, and the only teacher he has is his past life Avatar Roku, who by the way passed away before Aang was born." Kosei said, "I just wonder how could Aang talk to someone who is dead?"
His friend Sen heard what Kosei said, just like he and his fellow classmate both in 1B and 1A doesn't know what to say to Kosei at this moment.
3:33 - 3:37
The next scene shifts to Zuko searching for his Uncle.
"Well, look who it is, the Prince of Forest Fires! You son of a Bitch!" Togaru yelled in anger towards the Fire Prince.
"That is enough Kamikiri! You have no proof that Prince Zuko is the one who causes the forest fire?" Itsuka said.
"Oh Now! Defending the Prince, what he's suddenly your boyfriend because you saw his abs!" The Lizard boy replies to the Big Sister, making a certain greenette boy from 1A Jealous of the thought of Todoroki and Kendo being together.
"He's not my boyfriend Kamikiri!" Itsuka said, hiding her small blush. "Furthermore, the reason why I don't believe it's Prince Zuko and his troops were the ones that cause the forest fire is because they were chasing the Avatar, meaning they were behind the Avatar's tracks, not ahead of Team Avatar." when she finished she notice that her classmate Komori is staring at her.
"Do you need something Komori?"
"Do you like Zuko?" Kinoko asks.
"What no, what makes you think that?"
"Well, it's just when Kamikiri mentioned Zuko's abs you blush. Shroom." Kinoko continued.
"How is suddenly me blushing had anything to do with me suddenly that makes me have a crush on Zuko, it makes no sense. For your information the one who has a crush on a boy from our classroom is." she leans closer to Kinoko's ear for a whisper. "Is you." she left Kinoko's ear leaving the Mushroom girl to blush red like her Hero outfit because she is secretly crushing on the boy sitting next to her. Shihai Kuroiro.
3:37 - 3:40
"Gah!" was the response of the students, Kota, Melissa, and the Todoroki siblings' reactions to seeing Iroh taking a bath.
"Okay, I didn't need to see that," Togaru said.
"See, but don't look. That there was no way that Zuko and Iroh were the ones who started the forest fire." Itsuka said.
"I see that now! Gah!" Togaru said.
3:40 - 3:55
"Oh the hot springs, it does sound like a good idea about now," Hanta said. "We all finish a long day of training, I think we need a nice long hot bath to relax the muscles and get ourselves clean."
"Maybe the casino has a hot spring somewhere like that Studio Ghibli movie, Spirited Away." Denki said. Like the Outaku he is.
"A Hot Spring, that sounds nice, I'm sweaty with my P.E Uniform, and I would love to change into something refreshing. What do you think Denki?"
Before Denki could answer, he just realize that his crush would be in the same hot spring area, there wouldn't be a wall between them. Play it cool and maybe you'll hit a jackpot. "Sure, hot springs sound nice now."
"Cool, maybe the casino would have one."
Denki blushes and hopes that Poker would magically have a hot spring during the break.
He won't. (This fanfic might be Rated M but there won't be any smutt)
3:55 - 4:12
The teachers just nodded at Iroh's advice, even Aizawa agrees with Iroh, there is nothing wrong with taking a break once and a while.
However, Izuku wrote a new fact about Firebending, a demonstration that Iroh did to the water to make it hotter.
"So Firebenders can create steam and that came out from his nose, like a dragon in fairy tales. Though I thought, steam is more of an Airbender technique or a Waterbending technique especially the fact that steam is water in its gas phase, that be created by boiling water on a teapot as a good example." Izuku continues to mumble.
While Natsu Todoroki wonders how did this boy catch the attention and heart of his little brother, from all that mumbling?
More importantly, this is the most screen time that they got with Iroh, the man was overshadowed by the events of Kyoshi and when they met Commander Zhao for the first time.
Now, they felt like their going to know more about Iroh, in this episode and wonder what kind of villain, or uncle he is? Sure, they would imagine the supporting Uncle/ Villain mentor wouldn't just relax around and waste his nephew's time, They all would imagine him getting off the tub and marching with his Nephew and troops to capture the Avatar.
They know that Iroh is a master Firebender, and yet they didn't see him fight the Avatar back in Kyoshi.
For someone who is a Master Firebender, he should be able to fight toe to toe with the Avatar, who at this moment just mastered Airbending.
However, the man so far simply just wants to relax, eat Roast Duck, and love tea.
When they picture Iroh in their minds, they thought he would win against Aang, especially with his titles such as General Iroh, and a Hero to the Fire Nation.
Now seeing the man, he is very different from how he was described.
They wonder from Now to later in the series, if they would learn who Iroh is?
4:12 - 4:17
Most everyone looked away to avoid seeing Iroh naked, Izuku made to sure cover Kota's eyes, but the little boy saw Iroh in his birthday suit in that split second.
"Gah, Now I'm imagining Iroh naked!" Eijiro said.
"Gah! Don't say it! Now I'm imagining Iroh naked! Yelled Mina.
To Midnight she didn't look away, true, Iroh is older than her and not her type, but something about Iroh makes you want to hug him, like a teddy bear.
4:17 - 4:26
Seeing this scene all four Todoroki siblings have a feeling that Zuko won't leave Iroh.
4:26 - 4:36
The students giggled at Katara's way of cheering up Aang.
"Ouch Katara! How is throwing an acorn help cheer up Aang?" Kosei asks.
"Hey cheer up, Tsuburaba, just watch. Trust me and Katara, you're going to smile in a second."
4:36 - 4:41
The students laugh more when Katara threw an acorn at her brother.
"You're right that did cheer me up." Kosei laughs at Sokka.
Dabi wishes he could the same thing to Shoto, but with his fire rather than an acorn.
4:41 - 4:58
Spinner smiled at Katara cheering Aang. Just like what she did with the prisoners in the previous episode with the Earthbenders. She gave hope to Aang, that the acorns are a sign that the forest will grow back, mightier than ever,
Spinner really admires Katara, A True Hero gives hope to others when they thought that hope is lost, as she did to Haru and the Earthbender, now she gives hope back to the Avatar.
4:58 - 5:02
"Who the hell are you?" Katsuki asks the approaching man.
5:02 - 5:14
"Yes, he is the Avatar." Kosei said with a smile.
5:14 - 5:42
They learn that the old man and his village needed the Avatar's help.
It shifts into the next scene of the village itself.
Seeing the village, the Heroes, students and guests, didn't like to see buildings destroyed, and the town's people are staying in one big building.
The Heroes and students start to wonder who cause all of this destruction?
"Who would do such a horrible thing? Shroom." Kinoko asks.
"Who the hell do you think! Mushroom Girl! Clearly, it's the Fire Nation who did this!" Katsuki said in anger towards the situation of the village, and the dumb question from the girl. Shihai comforts the girl by rubbing her back after being insulted by the barking pomeranian.
The students could easily believe that the pomeranian is right, but some don't believe this was the actions of Fire Nation.
Especially towards the smart minds such as the following nicknames. Ponytail. (Yaoyarozu), Mr. Robot. (Ida), Dollar store rip off of Beast from X-Men. (Shishida), The forbidden love child of Elsa and Fire Lord Ozai. (Shoto), Originally suppose to be in 1A but later change to be in 1B. (Shoda), Max Black from Two Broke Girls. (Tokage), Sakura from Street Fighter. ( Kendo), Grapist. (who know who I'm talking about) , Denki's dream man. (Shinso), Insert awesome nickname here. (Juzo), Rody Soul is a better movie character than her. (Melissa), Lastly, I don't have an awesome nickname for him, because I only have insults, and Deku is not one of the nicknames, no thanks to Meg Griffin by turning it into a wonderful nickname. (Midoriya.)
Knowing them, they have a theory that the Fire Nation caused the destruction, and who better than Midoriya to explain what they are thinking. "Kacchan, I don't think these are the actions of the Fire Nation?"
"What is it this time nerd?!" Before the blond could continue, he was interrupted by his homeroom teacher.
"Hold on, Bakugo, I too don't think these were the actions of the Fire Nation, please let Midoriya explain." then he looked toward the greenette. "Please, Midoriya explain your thoughts on this?"
Midoriya just nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Aizawa, to understand what I'm saying, I would kindly ask Poker to rewind the screen to show the village once more." and from Midoriya's request. Poker did in fact rewind at the moment to see the village. "Now, let's say in a scenario the Fire Nation did attack this village. I don't think the troops would just mindlessly destroy buildings, and if they do? Should the broken buildings be in ashes?" Izuku said, and the audience is slowly understanding him. "If the Fire Nation were responsible, the building would have been burnt down, not demolished."
The students are starting to see the greenette's point of view. If the Fire Nation were responsible shouldn't they burn down the village, and yet the village wasn't burned down to ashes.
Jurota Shishida agrees with Midoriya to let out his opinion too. "I agree with Midoriya, Seeing that there are only a few buildings that got destroyed, I don't think these are the action of the Fire Nation troops. If this was the action of the Fire Nation, I believe they would burn everything to the ground until everything is in ashes?" he continues. "However, how is burning the village bring any benefits to the Fire Nation it doesn't make any sense?"
Then Setsuna stepped in. "Guys, I understand that we don't like the Fire Nation, but I agree with Shishida over here." She continues. "If the Fire Nation comes to this village, I don't think they would destroy the village, I think they'll do the same thing with Haru's village, by taking control and becoming the tax collectors. If you guys recall the reason why the Fire Nation took over Haru's village is because of resources the coal mines to fire up their ships."
When the girl finishes the reason the audience starts to understand what happened to the village. "So you three are saying this is not the actions of Fire Nation troops?" Fuyumi asks.
"Nope, If the Fire Nation did, they won't just destroy a few buildings and leave, they would have finished the job, or taken over control of the village," Setsuna said.
"Now the big question is, who, or what cause this destruction?
Many of the audience started to brainstorm some theories about who could have done this destruction, some pointed out the possibility of natural causes such as bad weather, but it barely made any sense. Something like a tornado would have destroyed the whole village including the lives of others.
Many thought of the possible theory of rogue Earthbenders causing destruction, but that end up as a dead end.
Now out of theories, the Audience listens to the village leader to what caused the village to some destruction.
5:42 - 6:05
The whole audience raises an eyebrow, they all are confused by the words of the village elder.
For the last few days at sunset, a spirit monster comes and attacks our village. He is Hei Bai, the black and white spirit.
Just repeating the words in their heads or out loud sounded ridiculous to the minds of everyone.
"Did we hear that right? A spirit attacked this village." Midnight asks sounding oddly confused by the words of the elder.
"You... heard that right Nemuri, I too am confused." All Might said.
the villains, students, and their guests are confused too towards the village elder's words.
"That sounds like a whole like bull shit to me!" Yelled out Bakugo, not believing the old fart's claim.
Izuku wants to respond and want to defend the village elder's claim, but he too is having a hard time believing the idea of spirits attacking the village. Or the existence of spirits.
Izuku Midoriya all in all is a man of science, and his favorite subject to study is quirks, from its history and how to improve quirks, he is not a man of God or man of religion.
In their world, ever since the existence of quirks and became part of their society. The belief in religion went down throughout many decades since then. Even so, there are still those that follow religious practices and beliefs to this day, including individuals such as Ibarra Shiozaki.
6:05 - 6:35
Then the village leader mentions that the Winter Solstice is coming, and when the Winter Solstice comes by, the villager is afraid of what the spirit would do to this village.
Not knowing what a winter solstice is, Denki went and asks? "I just have to ask, but what is winter solstice?"
He wasn't the only one who didn't know what a winter solstice is? They just hope that someone does know what a winter solstice is?
Gladly Yaoyorozu does know what it is. "I can gladly answer that question." she said as everyone listens to the girl. "A Winter Solstice, are the two moments during the year when the path of the Sun in the sky is farthest south in the Northern Hemisphere."
.
.
.
"What!" were the response of her classmates and villains.
"Your whole explanation sounds like it comes out straight from a google search?!" one of the villains said.
"I didn't understand what the hell she said!" Himiko yelled in frustration.
Yaoyorozu just pouts that no one understands her explanation.
"Rewind and freeze, can we just chill and talk about it."
"Thank you, Jiro, I knew one would understand my explanation," Yaoyorozu said smiling hoping that one did understand her brilliant mind.
"I'm not talking about the winter solstice, Yaoyorozu. I want to talk about the situation of the village." Jiro said. I think we really need to talk about this, A Spirit attacked the village? And it sounds nuts! Am I the only one who thinks this is nonsense and batshit crazy?!"
Now back to the topic of spirits nobody knew how to start the conversation?
"What do you want us to say, Jiro? A Spirit attacked the village every sunset?! You're not the only one who thinks that this is, bat shit bonkers?!" Setsuna said, "When I think of spirits, I think about mythical lore, fairy tales, fictional lore such as Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away! In other words, it sounded very made up." Setsuna sighs and rolls her temple with her fingers. "I'm tired Kyoka, I don't think what they say is real?"
"What would happen if it is real?"
Everyone looked towards the 1B girl, whose favorite interest is the supernatural. Reiko Yanagi.
"Look, I know it's not scientific or logical in a sense, but these villagers are afraid of what's to come when sunset comes," Reiko said. "I understand you don't believe it, and I understand, but I do believe that their saying is true."
Listening to his student, Vlad King absolutely don't believe in the spirit none sense. "Yanagi, I understand you like supernatural stories and legends such as Annabelle, the weeping woman La Llorona, including historical figures like Marie Laveau the Voodoo Queen." Vlad King said. "But those are stories, what's happening to the village is real, not a tale.
"And Yet, the villagers believe what's happening to the village is in fact real." Reiko turned to the one girl who might be on the same side as her. "Shoizaki, what do you think of all of this?"
Ibara stare into nothingness, thinking about what to say to her friend. She and Yanagi, are friends but their not close, like Tsuburaba, Kaibara, Awase and Rin and their friendship. If she has to describe her friendship with Yanagi, she would describe them as Oil and Vinegar, they get along but they don't mix.
She cares for Yanagi, but when it comes to her religion and Yanagi's interest in the supernatural are topics that don't get along.
Seeing this other world is amazing but it's not for her. She is okay with bending, and the animals as a whole, but the Avatar and now spirits it's too much and against her beliefs. She likes Aang she really does, but she doesn't like that the Avatar is the closest thing to a Messiah figure, the people place their hope and fate in this individual. It's too much for Ibara.
"I'm sorry Yanagi, it's too much for me, I'm sorry but I don't believe their claim."
Reiko felt betrayed by her friend, they went through a lot, and yet her friend let her down.
She sat down quietly as the show continues.
6:35 - 6:53
The whole audience raises their eyebrows at what the villager elder said, in why they needed the help of the Avatar. Izuku even wrote it down in his notebook a title that is a part of being the Avatar.
The Great Bridge between Man and Spirit.
No one in the crowd didn't know what it meant? Being the so what 'great bridge' sounded like a responsibility not meant for Pro Heroes, but responsibility meant only for the Avatar?
Learning this fact about the Avatar made people more confused since the introduction of the lore about spirits, from the confusion made Katsuki Bakugo very confused.
"What the Fuck is this! This is some fairy tale or anime bullshit, There is no such thing as spirits!" he yelled frustrated about the new lore that he doesn't believe in. "What do you want the Avatar to do to help. Ah! Have them play the Ouija board to talk to this spirit and say to stop harming the village! Like serious shit, what really happened to the village, Ah! Old man?!"
"Bakugo, what if they're telling the truth! What if there really are spirits?" Ochaco asks the angry blond.
"Don't tell me you believe this bullshit?! The spirits are like when my parents tried to make me believe in the Tooth Fairy or Easter Bunny, like fuck that! Why would I want some bitch to sneak in my room just to take my baby tooth, and if she did what would she do with my baby tooth then ah?!" Katsuki said still not believing in the Spirit lore. "Fuck the spirits, fuck the Tooth Fairy, and Fuck Santa Claus, what they all have in common is they don't exist!"
After getting an ear full from Bakugo, Ochaco doesn't want to believe what her classmate said, she is sure a lot of her classmates do believe in spirits existing? Just like Yanagi. "Don't say that Bakugo, I bet they're real?" she then gave a looked to the one person who she believes would agree with her." Right Deku?"
Ochaco continue to stare at the boy, Then seconds flew by the girl frowned that the boy was just quiet and not looking at her.
Uraraka is his best and first friend since school started, she is one of Izuku's biggest supporters and he supports her in becoming a hero to help her family.
Now with the topic of, if spirits exist or not? His friend wanted him to say that he believe their real too, but he couldn't say it. "I'm sorry Uraraka, I don't know." his words made the girl frown. "For my whole life, I've studied quirks and wrote it down in my notebook to see what the quirk can do, and what the person can do to improve their quirks and how to make them stronger." He pause and took a deep breath to the next thing he was going to say. "But, I don't know what to believe in?"
"For my whole life, I lived a life of science and logic, that made it possible because of quirks and my interest towards quirks." he continues while looking away from the girl. "But I cannot say spirits are real, because I don't believe they are?"
"Believing in spirits is asking me to take a leap of faith, in which I don't believe in faith but I believe in results. Hope is one thing, but belief is another." then he looked at the girl with sorry eyes. "I'm sorry Uraraka, but I don't believe in spirits. This isn't an easy topic, this feels like a discussion of Logic versus Belief. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I can't believe it until there is proof."
To Izuku's understanding, what this world is trying to say is, Spirits are in fact real. He does want to believe, but that isn't that easy unless there is proof.
Uraraka was disappointed by what she heard from her best friend, she never thought he won't be on the same side as her.
6:53 - 7:21
The heroes and students gulped to hear what Aang said. That he doesn't know how to help these people.
He said he was to try. That made the Heroes, and students worry about what's to come if it exists?
7:21 - 7:27
"No Shit." Bakugo and Kamikiri said agreeing with Sokka.
7:27 - 7:34
The next scene changes back to Iroh and shows the man sleeping in the hot springs.
Seeing the uncle in sleeping bliss, gave the villains a turn to talk about the hot springs.
"You know, after what we did at, you-know-where." Spinner said in code to keep a secret from the Heroes in the room, they didn't want them to know their whereabouts. "A trip to the hot springs sounds a good thing about now."
The league member agree, after the fight they went, a trip to the hot springs sounded nice at the moment. The only, literally the only member who was against the idea because All For One is into the hot spring idea, is Tomura.
"Hell No, I rather bathe myself when we return to our world. I don't want to bathe in the casino." the leader said.
"Kill Joy! What's wrong glorious leader, afraid that your boyfriend is a peeping-tom and check out your naked body." Dabi said as he starts to chuckle. "Let's face it, you two would mostly have sex at some point while we're here, your fate is, inevitable."
"Baw chica wow wow, Heyo! Tomura is going to get it!" Himiko said as she and the rest of the league starts to chuckle.
"Assholes, that won't happen, especially while Master is here, he won't let that happen. Right master?" he asks his master.
However, All For One is thinking deeply about what Deal he would make with Poker, so he didn't pay attention to watch his members say, including Tomura. "Yeah, sure Tomura."
"See," Tomura said.
"Kiss Ass." Himiko said as the girl tries to hide her words by coughing.
7:34 - 7-37
"What the hell was that?!"
"Oh no, Firebenders!" Minoru cowardly said until he got punched by Dark Shadow.
"Idiot, Iroh is a Firebender!" said the shadow as he returns to Fumikage's abs.
Vlad King sighs and went to ask the only person who can answer his question. "Aizawa, tell me again, why is Minoru Mineta in the Hero Course?"
"Is? Do you think he would stay in the Hero Course? No. When we're done here, I give him the boot and welcome, my student, Shinso into Class 1A."
7:37 - 7:38
Mineta was punched again, but Fumikage himself this time.
7:38 - 7:55
Seeing Iroh not harming the mouse. Surprise the audience.
They would expect that the man would do villainous actions? Such as harming the mouse by killing it with Firebending, and yet, the Firebending Uncle wouldn't harm a mouse like it was a fly, which surprise The Heroes and students the most.
When Iroh was introduced, they thought he would be… well villainous to put in simple terms, and yet the man is no near villainous, let alone evil.
They can simply say and admit that they misunderstood the man with no doubt.
The man is most vulnerable by being naked and alone, he doesn't show any villainous interest or evil intentions. They believe that this is his true self, he isn't wearing a mask to trick the audience. Plus why would he wear a mask just to trick the audience? The man has no clue that the audience is watching him.
All in all, there is one thing that they all can agree on, even though Iroh is Fire Nation, a Firebender, a member of the royal family, a formal general, and the Uncle of Zuko.
Iroh is no villain, he just happens to be Fire Nation and a member of the Royal Family.
7:55 - 8:23
The next scene caught the audience by surprise. When Earthbenders captured Iroh with their Earthbending.
"What the heck. What's going on?" Uraraka asks.
"Ochaco, ribbit, The Earth Kingdom soldiers just captured Iroh. Ribbit, possibly for his past crimes against the Earth Kingdom." Tsuyu said. "I understand Ochaco, you took a liking towards the uncle, ribbit, but you have to remember he was a Fire Nation general. The man probably had sent troops to attack Earth Kingdom lands for the victory of his nation."
Fumikage nodded and agrees with her, "I agree with Tsu, Iroh has a past as a General, who knows what deeds he did during his time fighting the war." Fumikage said.
Uraraka understands what her two friends said. She took a liking to Iroh, but the man has a dark past as General. Now the Earth Kingdom soldiers have captured him to pay for his crimes.
A part of her should be happy because she is against the side of The Fire Nation because the Fire Nation are the villains of this story, and yet at this very moment, she doesn't know who to root for? Should she be happy that the Earth Kingdom soldiers has captured the former Fire Nation General to pay for his crimes against the Earth Kingdom?
Yet she feels stuck by her morals.
A part of her says, that the Earth Kingdom soldiers are doing is what's right because of their the Heroes. But a small voice in the back of her head is saying, to let Iroh go and set him free.
She doesn't know what is the right thing to do now?
For Izuku, he heard an important fact about Iroh, well two important facts. The first one, he is the brother of Fire Lord Ozai. He knows that Iroh is royalty but he always assumes he were the Fire Lord's brother-in-law. The second important fact is his title, The Dragon of the West.
He may not be familiar with the topic but, he knows well enough that, The Dragon of the West isn't a military ranking. Now he wonders what the title meant?
Maybe they'll get answers later in the series.
8:23 - 8:39
The next scene shifts back with Aang trying to talk with the spirit?
"What the hell is Aang doing, he looks ridiculous!" Togaru said laughing at the actions of the Avatar.
"Hey don't laugh at him!" Kosei yelled at his classmate. "He's just doing his job as the bridge of spirit and man."
A few of his classmates looked at the boy with questionable eyes.
His friend and fellow classmate Honenuki ask Tsuburaba an important question since the lore of spirits is being questioned by the rest of the audience. "Tsuburaba, may I ask you a question?"
"Shoot, go for it."
Juzo thought of the question, but asking the question is the hard part, he didn't want to sound harsh but he went the approach by asking Tsuburaba as a friend. "Kosei, you don't mind me asking you as a friend. I don't want to be offensive towards one belief because am on the side of science and logic, but how do you do it? Believing in something without any proof? Why believes in the spirits?"
Kosei thought of the answer he would give to his friend, he decided to go with a simple answer. "Well, Juzo, I'm not sure how to say it but, I do believe that the spirits are real. I understand that believing in something without proof can be complicated. You know what there is nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong that I chose belief over logic, and you have chosen logic over belief and that's okay. It's cool that we get to choose what we believe in." he continues. "I'm glad that you chose logic over belief and I don't hate you for it, and I can tell you don't hate me by belief over logic. The debate of Logic versus belief is not the same as Right versus Wrong or Good versus Evil. What we learn from this world is that there is in between. The word, In Between, is the keyword. meaning Belief and Logic can peacefully co-exist."
"To answer your question Juzo, the reason why I believe that the spirits are real is not that that world is cool, or not because I look up to Aang. Is because I took a leap of faith. Taking the leap of faith means, I took the chance to look over logic and see what belief has to offer even though there is no proof of truth at all." Kosei said. "Isn't that what belief is? taking that leap even though it may carry no resolve?"
Juzo was speechless, he had to admit Tsuburaba gave a good answer, true, there is no right and wrong, but he does respect Kosei and his beliefs. he just gave his friend a smile as best as he could.
8:39 - 8:50
The audience was confused about what Sokka said.
"How can they help Aang, heck, what should Aang even need to do to help this village from the spirit". Kyoka said. "Do they need an Ouija board or a seance, this is some horror movie cliche B.S here."
The rest of 1A, 1B, Melissa, Kota, Fuyumi and Natsu wonder if helping the village is done by using an Ouija board or by doing a seance.
8:50 - 9:15
Now that the sunset has passed The audience waited to see what would happen next.
And yet nothing happened.
"See, losers there is no such as spirits." Bakugo proudly said. Making Yanagi, Uraraka and Tsuburaba angry at Bakugo for making fun of their beliefs.
9:15 - 9:22 (Enter Hei Bai)
What.
The.
Fuck.
Were the shared responsibility of everyone in the theatre.
Kota even hides his face by hugging Midoriya afraid of the monster alone, the child wasn't the only one afraid of the Black and White spirit, known as Hei Bai, everyone, and I mean everyone was afraid that the spirit is real.
"That can't be real, can't it?" Fuyumi asks her younger brothers feeling afraid as everyone else.
"Fuyumi wake up! that fucker is real! "Natsu said being afraid of what he's seeing.
"That monster! That Spirit is going to attack the village, Aang has to do something!" Shoto said waking up from his shock, he is scared of seeing the spirit.
Izuku was shocked too, for all his life, he only believed in science and logic, but seeing that spirit for the first time, shook everything he knows. Like he was hit with a water balloon filled with belief just splashing over him, making him soak in the truth, about the exitance of Spirits. Including a realization that he needs to apologize to his friend. For not believing in her.
Bakugo and Kamikiri were shocked to see that Spirits are real, what's worst their feeling a foreign feeling of fear and anxiety rising up from seeing this spirit that came out from nothingness
Fear was very foreign to them, they weren't sure what do to for the first time in their lives.
The villains too were afraid.
All For One was as well afraid as the rest, Even with all the powerful quirks he has stolen over his life, he doubts he could ever win against this spirit.
The symbol of Evil may be scared by seeing this spirit, but he wasn't the only one, The formal symbol of peace is scary too. Even if he still has One For All in his body and in 100 percent, he is sure he, Nana, or Midoriya could ever defeat this spirit.
'If this spirit cannot bleed, that means it cannot die.' All Might thought. Wondering how would they defeat such a thing back in their world. He also wonders how would Aang handle the Spirit Hei Bai.
9:22 - 9:40
The audience watched in fear as the spirit walked behind Aang and the Avatar had no clue that Hei Bai is right behind him. That made the Heroes, the students, and their guests worried about what the spirit monster would do against the Avatar.
When Aang finally notice the Hei Bai, he tried to introduce himself to the spirit. The students scream in fright that Spirit wanted nothing from the Avatar as it roars.
"Oh my god, The spirit is angry!" Mina said fear showing on her face.
"Oh man, Aang is going to face that! There is no way he would win!" Hanta said afraid that the spirit monster would end the Avatar?
"T-There must be something that Aang could do to solve this, H-He has to," Tenya said stuttering from fear, afraid and unsure what he would do if he has to face something like Hei Bai if spirits exist in their world.
Everyone wondered if Spirit does exist back in their world, they wonder if they would stand a chance against such beings?
Maybe their answer would be answered later in the series, at the moment they don't know if bending would be enough against spirits?
9:40 - 9:57
They witness the powers of Hei Bai.
Seeing how strong Hei Bai was by destroying houses without any problem, They also witness that the spirit can teleport, and it has a form of enhanced speed, which was terrifying seeing Hei Bai's abilities remind them of supernatural horror movies when supernatural creatures have abnormal powers. To the teenagers in the theatre, they know those were just movie effects and in some cases the actor's actual quirks. Now what they're witnessing are not movie effects and Hei Bai's powers are clearly not quirks at all.
"That's freaky, Hei Bai has more than one quirk!" Ochaco said afraid of the powers of Hei Bai. "How is that possible?"
Izuku is freaking out too.
The boy tries to stay calm. This was what he was trained to do when stressful emotions rise during a disaster he has to say calm. Just like back in the license exam, when he and the rest of the examinees have to rescue the good people of H.U.C, also known as Help Us Company.
Besides the terrifying powers of Hei Bai, Aang isn't fighting Hei Bai, he just wants to talk to him?
Izuku figures that, maybe fighting isn't the option to face Hei Bai, Aang is the bridge between spirit and man, and maybe he can talk to Hei Bai?
Izuku wrote down The black and white spirit in his notebook, titled Hei Bai, as the spirit's abilities he didn't write quirks because clearly, Hei Bai's powers are not quirks, maybe some kind of supernatural powers, or spiritual powers? Izuku Midoriya, a man of science and logic cannot tell the difference between spiritual and supernatural.
9:57 - 10:17
Seeing the results of the fight with Hei Bai wasn't what the Heroes were expecting, the spirit is creating more damage than ever before.
The Heroes have no comment, but they too wonder what they can do to stop the spirit if something like Hei Bai came into their world.
The results they have gotten are useless, their quirks won't work against Hei Bai, Aizawa couldn't use his quirk against the spirit because the spirit has no quirks, the spirit's abilities are not quirks but something special and different that only spirits have. Midnight couldn't use her quirk to put the spirit to sleep, not sure if the spirit even sleeps or if her quirk would even work on spirits? Vlad King cannot physically attack the spirits, he is smart enough to see that violence isn't the answer to solving a rampaging spirit.
They knew deep down, that the Pro Heroes cannot handle a situation against spirits, for one thing, they for a long time believed that spirits are no more than folklore or fairy tales, myths in general.
If Spirits exist this whole time back in their world and start attacking the city, they admit they don't know what to do in such a situation, this isn't the job of a Pro Hero.
This is the job only meant for the Avatar, the bridge between man and spirit.
10:17 - 10:37
"Why wouldn't Aang just fight the spirit?" Hakegure asks as they witness that Hei Bai isn't listening to Aang.
"I think fighting Hei Bai would just make things worse?" Shoto said.
"Bullshit, I fight that thing until it is nothing but ashes!"
"I'll cut that monster with my razor blades!" said the two hotheads, Bakugo and Kamikiri.
"No you two! None of us could ever defeat Hei Bai or any spirits that could exist." The one who spoke caught the classmates who knew him and caught them by surprise when they find out the one who spoke was from Midoriya. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've thought off all the battle strategies and battle scenarios if 1A and 1B decided to attack Hei Bai, there is no scenario that we would win." What the boy is saying felt out of character, but there is no denying his intelligence when it comes to quirks. "Monoma's quirk won't work against Hei Bai because there is no quirk to copy, Hei Bai is a spirit and right now that is the spirit's physical body, but I don't think Kamikiri could ever cut Hei Bai's body to make it bleed, for one thing, I don't think spirits have blood? Elemental attacks such as fire, ice, electricity, and acid could just slow down the monster but it's not enough to defeat it. Lastly my quirk, I hate to say it, even if I went to one million percent of Super Power, I cannot defeat the spirit, the worst-case scenario we could just anger it some more to the point it murders us one by one."
A lot of the students gulp towards Midoriya's statement, but they believe what he said is true, if fighting isn't the answer, what is?
(I know in Legend of Korra, When Avatar Korra went to fought UnaVaatu, her physical body stays by the tree and her body is being protected by Team Avatar. Tenzin and the rest fought the spirits by slowing them down while defending Korra.
In Avatar Wan's era before he became the Avatar, his human friends and spirit friends fought one another and it was hinted that the humans lost.
In the comics, Avatar Yang Cheng only made a promise with the spirit, General Old Irons to calm the spirit.
There is also Father Glowworm, but I won't tell that spirit's tale because it's a spoiler.
In theory, if the spirit became mortal, just like the ocean and the moon koi fish, the heroes can defeat Hei Bai.
So in theory, yes, no quirk individual can defeat spirits, if Avatar Kuruk couldn't kill Koh the Face Stealer, what chances can 1A and 1B have in defeating spirits.
However, in Legend of Korra. We seen during Book Spirits, we witnessed a Waterbending technique to cleanse Spirits, unless Kota could suddenly cleanse spirits in the next ten seconds, 1A and 1B and would have a chance. In which it's not likely.)
10:37 - 10:43
"What is Sokka doing?" Melissa asks to hope that Sokka would be okay.
10:43 - 10:55
"Sokka!" Where the combined shouts of the Heroes, the Students, and Their guests! When Hei Bai took Sokka with him.
10:55 - 11:08
"Go get him Aang, For Katara!" Melissa said, worried about what would happen to the one person she looks up to in this world.
While the rest of the Heroes, students, and guests worry for Sokka.
11:08 - 11:28
The next scene was a short shift with Zuko.
It had him realizing that his Uncle was captured by Earthbenders.
The League of Villain members has a feeling that Zuko will go and rescue his uncle from the Earthbenders.
Now thinking, If one of them were captured by the heroes, they know that Tomura wouldn't give a shit about rescuing them or on Iroh.
It's been months now, and they have no clue where Kurogiri is? Even if they found out where the law enforcers are hiding Kurogiri would Tomura even make a plan? Not just rescuing Kurogiri, what about the villains that they left behind in the camp, like Muscular, Moonfish, and Mustard.
Tomura says he has a plan to change society and yet they don't know what is the plan? Especially now since Re-Destro and his army had surrendered. Now they have control over the army.
11:28 - 11:56
The scene shifts back to Aang.
The students watch as Aang glides to try to rescue Sokka from Hei Bai, while the spirit runs somewhere.
They learned that the spirit ran back to the burnt forest.
"Why return back to the burnt forest?" Ida wonders why the spirit led Aang back to the burnt forest.
No one answer him as Aang was able to grab Sokka's hand.
"Yes!"
11:56 - 11:58
"No! Sokka!" yelled the young Shield. As Sokka disappeared with the spirit.
11:58 - 12:07
Due to Sokka's disappearance. Aang crash-landed by a pile of rocks!
"Oh no Aang!" Kosei yelled out worried for his Idol.
Things calm down as the scene shows piles of rocks of different sizes, but as they look closely they can tell those aren't rocks.
"Geez, are those statues?" Kosei asks hoping he wasn't seeing things.
"My golly, you're not wrong. Those are statues of bears." Kosei looked towards the artist of 1B, Manga Fukidashi. "Those are stone carvings of Bears."
"Okay, I see that those are statues, why be in the middle of the burnt forest?" Kosei asks again.
"I don't think they're randomly placed, but I think they're here for a reason, in all honesty, they look like a shrine to worship some god?" Manga explained.
"Some god? Or maybe some spirit? I think this is Hei Bai's home, and the reason why he attacked and took the villagers, and Sokka. I think the spirit is angry because of what the Firebenders did to his home." Itsuka said as she figure out why Hei Bai attacked. "Look, what the Fire Nation did to his home, there was once life in this forest, animals too. When the Fire Nation burnt down his home, the spirit got upset and wanted payback, so Hei Bai attacked the village by getting rid of their homes, and taking away the villagers, just like how the Firebenders cause the animals to run away from the forest."
"If that is true, What Hei Bai is doing is completely wrong." Neito continues for her. "Destroying the village and taking the villagers will not restore this land."
"That is true, shroom," Kinoko said. "But, this land is not lost, with seeds, sunshine, and water, the forest can grow back. Once the forest is fully grown once more, The animals would come back. Shroom."
Thanks to 1B the whole audience fully understood what Aang has to do.
"I think to solve the villager's problem is by helping Hei Bai, rather than fighting him. The best way to do so is to restore Hei Bai's hope, to say, hope is not dead and the forest can grow back with time and love, Hei Bai's home would be restored."
12:07 - 12:16
"No, Aang you didn't fail, you'll figure out how to return Sokka, like how we figured out why Hei Bai was taking." Kosei said
12:16 - 12:49
The scene shifts back to Iroh.
As the scene plays the audience learned that The Earthbenders are taking Iroh to pay for his past crimes, during his time as General.
They also learn more about Iroh and his past, they learned during his time as General he once took siege to the capital city of the Earth Kingdom that they learned as, The Great city of Ba Sing Se.
"So this city, Ba Sing Se, is the Earth Kingdom's capital city of the nation." Midnight said.
"Yes, meaning that is where the royal family of the Earth Kingdom lives, and Iroh took siege over there for the last 600 days, but he and his troops failed to ensure victory," Aizawa said.
They continue to watch to learn more about Iroh's siege at Ba Sing Se.
12:49 - 13:04
The Audience learned what happened during Iroh's siege.
It turns out Iroh and his troops were not defeated, they left the Siege, because they were tired?
A lot of the audience didn't believe in Iroh's answer, to the smart ones believed such as the nicknames that I mentioned earlier. Have a feeling that there is more to the story rather than simply leaving because they're tired.
Perhaps there is a personal reason why Iroh left.
13:04 - 13:26
They watch as Iroh falls off the horse.
"Well, that happened." Twice said wondering why that happened.
Until it reveal there was a reason why Iroh fell off the horse, turns out he left a trail for Zuko to follow.
"What is Iroh thinking? Zuko isn't a bloodhound?" Himiko asks.
"Maybe Zuko is skilled in tracking?" Dabi said.
(It's sweet of Zuko to keep the same slipper, that is later use to find Iroh during Sozin's Comet.)
13:26 - 13:41
The scene shifts with Katara waiting for Sokka and Aang.
"I feel sorry for Katara, she waited for Aang and Sokka." Yaoyarozu said. "I can't imagine worrying for hours not knowing if her brother and friend are okay?"
Then it finally hit Yaoyarozu's head. Both of her parents probably felt the same thing when the villains attacked the USJ and the Camp.
What's worse, there was also the time she and others went to rescue Bakugo from the League of Villains, She made her parents worried sick when they find out from Mr. Aizawa and All Might when they talked about the dorm system.
Of course, they would mention what she did in order to rescue Bakugo.
Now, Katara is feeling the same thing as her parents, the feeling of not knowing if Aang and Sokka are still alive is a Hell of stress.
13:41 - 13:51
"Cheer up Katara, Aang is back." Kosei said. As the sun is starting to rise.
13:51 - 13:58
"What happened to Aang, he's blue!" Kosei said. As the Audience ponders why Aang is blue?
At first, they thought Aang was only blue because it was nighttime, but he remain blue as the Sun is rising.
They also heard what the village elder said, even though the Avatar is right there.
"What do you mean, 'perhaps he would return soon.' his right there!" Bakugo said mocking the village elder.
13:58 - 14:04
What.
The.
Fuck!
"What the fuck! Why is Aang blue and transparent, like, like? A ghost! Did Aang die when he crashed and he is now a ghost!" Kosei said freaking out about what happened to his Idol!
"Calm down, Kosei, there's probably an answer!" Sen said. Trying to keep his best friend calm.
Everyone two are jaws drop in surprise to see that status of Aang.
Even the villains are stunned too.
14:04 14:11
It was silence in the theatre.
The Audience was still processing every info they got in this whole episode, This whole episode they learned new a lore about this world.
The lore of spirits.
Since the idea of spirits was brought to the table, The whole audience became split between Logic versus Belief.
Then the unbelievable happened when Hei Bai appeared. The spirit literally entered their minds as the spirit broke down their walls like it was a wrecking ball. Since then they're still processing that spirits exist and now Aang is in the spirit world.
"The Spirit world." Aizawa rubs his noggin due to the headache that the man is having. "This is way too much."
"Alright, so there is a spirit world, but what is really happening to Aang? why is he blue and transparent?" Izuku left out a question hoping someone would give him an answer?
Someone did, "I think I know what's happening to Aang, and it's not something you would understand?"
Izuku and the rest of the audience looked up at the person who said it and it was, Reiko Yanagi. "I only read it in books, and horror tv series." she continues, "Look, before I continue, I understand what I'm saying isn't logical, there is no proof, but you have to believe me when I say, the reason why Aang is blue and transparent because that's is his soul, not his body."
The audience took a pause to process the info. The logical part of their brain doesn't want to acknowledge what Yanagi just said, it sounded completely nonsense, bonkers.
But, what if they took a different viewpoint, and try to not see this as logic, but try to believe what she's saying because in all honestly just seeing Aang being blue and transparent. They cannot really argue with her, because what their seeing is real.
Logic cannot give them the answer, maybe they can take Kosei's advice and take a leap of faith, and give Yanagi a chance and believe what she says.
"Okay, Yanagi I believe you," Izuku said. "This isn't easy for me to… believe, but my mind is open." Izuku sighs and took a deep breath because this wasn't easy for me." I'm going to take a leap of faith, and believe what you saying is real."
The girl just nodded and sighs because she felt nervous after noticing so many eyes are staring at her.
"Well, from the stories that I've read and shows that I've watched talked about the supernatural, such as ghosts, witches, and voodoo, and what I believe what's happening is, I believe Aang has entered the spirit world by Astro-projecting his soul out from his body," Reiko said.
"So you're saying, Aang's body is okay and fine?" Kosei said trying to understand the best he could.
"I'm not 100 percent sure about his body, but I would love to hope he's okay," Reiko said. "I'm sure Aang is still alive and safe, please understand, that Aang's soul is currently out of his body, and I think this is the spirit world because it has that purgatory vibes. Spooky."
"Yeah, this is spooky, I think we're going to learn more while Aang is currently Casper the Friendly Ghost," Ochaco said as the show continued.
14:11 - 14:24
The scene shifts back with Zuko as the prince found his' uncle slipper.
The students and villains laughed at Zuko's reaction as he sniff at the slipper.
14:24 - 14:37
The next scene shifts back with Aang, well the spirit of Aang talking to Katara.
Throughout the several scenes of Aang being blue and transparent, worried Kosei. His worries went down after a certain sentence from Aang.
I'm the bridge between worlds.
After hearing that sentence from his idol, Kosei lessens his worries. Reminding himself that Aang is the bridge between man and spirit because he is the Avatar, means Aang Atroprojecting himself into the spirit world was about to happen at some point.
Kosei realizes he shouldn't worry when Aang is Astroprojecting himself. The chances of Aang doing it again later in the series are most likely to happen again.
Izuku on the other hand finds Astroprojecting interesting. There were no quirks ever recorded of a person Astroprojecting themselves back in their world. Then again, if there was someone back in their world with an Astroprojecting quirk, there wouldn't be any logical proof.
He sighs because the topic of the quirk is reaching to other topics of logic versus belief, which he has enough of that subject. However, if a quirk does to be able to Astroproject, it would be a great quirk for underground Hero work or government spies.
14:37 14:57
Watching Appa and Katara was not able to see Aang even though his spirit is right next to them saddens a lot of people in all age groups. They wonder if this is what's is like to be a ghost waiting for their loved ones to join them.
Mineta on the other hand was thinking of perverted stuff if he can Astroproject towards the wom–
Mineta was punched by Dark Shadow for thinking perverted stuff.
"Lustful Pig," as the shadow returns inside Fumikage's abs. "Fumikage and Tsuyu belong together" thought. Dark Shadow.
14:57 - 15:02
Feeling stuck and not sure what to do? The students watch as Aang calls out for Roku's name.
Watching Aang calling out for Roku worries All Might.
Ever since he made that promise to Midoriya to continue to live beside Sir Nighteye's future prediction of his death. He worries now that he wishes that he shouldn't make that promise in the first place. Because Nighteye's predictions are never wrong.
He figures it's not too late, to make it right with the boy. Even though he is still alive he and the boy can still do many things before he dies, and when the time comes when he dies he wants Midoriya to accept his death.
Even if he cannot see the boy become the Hero and introduce him to the world, he wants to let Midoriya know that he is proud of him, and that is glad that he met Izuku Midoriya.
15:02 -15:09
The rest of the audience witnesses a white light in the direction of the forest.
"What is that light?" Kosei asks. Now looking at the bright light worries Kosei about what that white light meant, He wonders if he should encourage him to walk closer to the light or should Aang walk away from the light, believing the light could be Heaven.
15:09 - 15:14
"That's not Heaven or Sokka! That–"
"A Dragon!" was the combined shouts of everyone in the theatre. Seeing for the first time to see the mighty mythical beast of legend.
"Aang! Glide away from that beast!" Kosei yelled out of fear.
15:14 -15:28
"What the Fuck! Why can't Aang Airbend?" Katsuki asks. For once in his life, his anger is being shadowed by an emotion that he believes is beneath him. Now has recently risen above his anger, and that emotion is fear and anxiety.
Because these feelings are new, his head is spiralling out of control triggering his fight or flight.
"No way, This can't be happening!" Izuku yelled freaking out but calm enough to understand why Aang Airbending isn't working. "No way! Because Aang is Astroprojecting his soul out from his body, he cannot bend in the spirit world."
"What do you mean Midoriya?!" Kosei asks worriedly for the safety of Aang. "Why can't he bend?"
"I think it has something to do that bending only applies with the physical body, the bender cannot bend if their soul is out of the body." Izuku explain the best he could in his understanding.
"May I say just something?"
The Audience went to listen to the Vine-haired girl.
"Midoriya has a point, and I don't think it also applies with bending?" Ibara said. "I think it also applies with quirks too?" The room got silent when her words left her mouth. "In a way when we die one day and leave our bodies behind, we be leaving our quirks too, in a way everyone's souls are quirkless and benderless."
Listening to the girl made Bakugo and Kamikiri realize no matter how strong they are in their lives with their quirks. In the end of their journey, they are leaving the world quirkless.
Learning this fact makes Katsuki feel like shit, knowing in the afterlife he would be quirkless.
15:28 - 15:46
Nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. The Audience is scared what would the dragon do to Aang now that the Dragon is now in front of the Avatar.
"Your soul is mine!" Tomura said, trying ot do a Mortal Kombat reference.
15:46 - 15:55
Believing that the dragon would eat the soul of Aang, instead, the Dragon showed Aang a vision of a very familiar man, that only a few remembered back in the Sothern Air Temple.
"Avatar Roku… That man in the vision that was Avatar Roku." Kosei said. As he and a few others are slowly understanding what this means?
They smile having a feeling that this will lead to more answers including finally meeting the Firebender Avatar before Aang.
Avatar Roku.
15:55 - 16:08
"Animal guide? Wait, that Avatar Roku's Animal Guide, like how Appa is Aang's animal guide." Kosei smiles to learn about this fact.
"So, animal guides are not just pets to the Avatar, but they play a very important role in the Avatar's journey." Izuku wrote down a new fact about Appa on Appa's page.
Izuku was about to write a new page in his notebook for Roku's animal guide, the moment he flips a new blank page he notice a playing card in his notebook.
"Uh what's this." he picked up the playing card, and it was the Eight of Spades.
After picking up the card, the card turned into glitter and it spread all over the blank page.
Izuku panicked that the glitter is made a mess, he shakes off the glitter from his notebook. When he was done he notice that glitter fil in the blank page with information about Roku's animal guide. There wasn't much but it did give the name of the Dragon.
Fang.
"Fang? I guess that that name of the dragon." Izuku said accepting that fact about the dragon.
"Interesting, normally I won't consider having my students to be training with their pets, but I guess animal guides is the exception if the Avatar was ever my student?" Aizawa said. Feeling jealous that his pet cat isn't his sidekick.
(I heard or read online, that mention that Momo is also Aang's animal guide? I don't know if that is an official fact or not?)
16:08 - 16:17
"I guess Fang will finally take Aang to Roku." Izuku said, making his classmates confuse.
"Fang? Who's Fang?" Shoto asks?
"Oh, Fang is the name of the Dragon?"
"How would you know that Midoriya?" his homeroom teacher asks.
"Oh on this notebook that Poker gave me, apparently he left a playing card inside, and when I picked it up, it turned into glitter and it fill in the page for me." the boy replies.
"Are there more playing cards Midoriya?"
The boy did what he was told and flipped over the whole notebook to see there were no more cards on the notebook.
Seeing that there are no cards on the notebook anymore, Aizawa wonders what Poker is planning to do with them? 'Is Poker planning something besides having them watch this universe.' he thought.
Back in the casino
In the restaurant where live music plays, The owner who owns the casino was performing dance number with his background dancers, as Madonna plays in the background.
You don't need diamond rings or eighteen karat gold,
Fancy cars that go very fast, you know they never last, no, no.
What you need is a big strong hand.
To lift you to your higher ground.
Make you feel like a queen on a throne.
Make him love you 'til you can't come down.
16:17 -16:35
The next scene shifts back to Iroh.
At first, the audience thought this would be a quiet journey of Iroh heading to Ba Sing Se to pay for his crimes.
That all changed when Iroh spotted Aang riding on Fang.
That caught the Audience by surprise. Surely the fact that Katara and Appa couldn't see Aang, should mean everyone else couldn't see Aang, including themselves.
Yet, Iroh among the guards was able to see Aang and Fang, even though no one could. This left the audience questioning, how Iroh was able to see Aang's soul?
"How what that possible? How was Iroh able to see Aang's soul?" Vlad King was the one who let out the question that everyone is thinking, and yet no one could answer his question. Not even his students Yanagi and Shoizaki who couldn't give him possible answers. Not even 1A's smartest nerds couldn't think of a possible answer.
They just hope that the show gives them the answer.
(I know that in the series, it was mentioned that Iroh went to the spirit world for a spiritual journey and to find his son, There is an official video of Iroh's Journey before, during, and after, Avatar the Last Airbender. On the official YouTube channel of Avatar the Last Airbender.)
16:36 - 17:00
"Is Iroh trying to escape?"
17:00 - 17:06
"Yes, yes he did," Shoto said, answering his brother's question.
Looking at how Iroh heated the chains, by creating steam from his nose. Shoto and Dabi are certain they cannot do the same with their quirks.
They watch as Iroh escape plan begins.
17:06 - 17:17
The villains' smile that Iroh was able to escape by Iroh distracting the guards by making a fire and rolling away by a cliff.
"It's simple and clever to say the least." Mr. Compress said.
17:17 -17:41
The next scene shifts back with Aang and Fang was the dragon taking the Avatar to meet Avatar Roku in a new location by an island with a building? Showing a statue of Avatar Roku.
"So cool, While in the Astroprojecting, Aang and Fang can walk through walls like ghosts. Woohoo!" Kosei cheered.
"Hey, Togata. Ain't that what your quirk could do back then?" Izuku asks the older third year.
Mirio just nodded. "Yup, just like Aang and Fang did, that is how I was able to walk through walls." he continues. "However, I think while Aang is Astroprojecting, I don't think he has to concentrate on which body part to phase in order to phase through solid matter. Though my quirk does have its weaknesses, such as my sense like my sight and hearing are negated, stuff like light, oxygen, sound, etc. Shall also pass through me."
He continues. "However it seems like, while Aang is Astroprojecting, I don't think he has that problem. he just passes through solid matter no problem." He smiles to see that the Avatar can do a similar thing that Mirio could do back when he still has his quirk.
Izuku wrote down in his notebook an ability that he can do while Astroprojecting.
After he wrote down the fact, the Audience are waiting to know would happen now that Aang reach Avatar Roku's statue?
17:41 - 17:53
They got their answer in an unexpected way, The audience witnessed that Fang gave Aang another vision, this time it wasn't showing Roku, but a Comet?
The Audience stayed quiet, assuming they'll get their answers soon.
17:53 - 18:32
Wondering how could Aang be able to speak to Roku, Fang once again gave Aang a vision, this time showing time moving forwards at high speed, and showing the gemstone reflecting the light moving from each day that pass. Giving a clear answer to those who solve it.
"I get it now, the gemstone works as a calendar and the light will reach Roku on a certain day, In which it's Winter Solstice," Yaoyorozu said. " May I now explain my early explanation of how a Winter Solstice is?" she asks her fellow classmates.
"No." was the combined answer of her classmate of 1A and 1B.
Yaoyorozu just rubs her temple out of annoyance. "Why do I even bother."
18:32 - 18:38
"Aang is right, today is not the solstice, so he couldn't just stand their wait for the Winter Solstice to come, he still needs to rescue Sokka and the villager from Hei Bai." Izuku said. As Aang and Fang flew away.
18:38 - 19:03
The next scene shifts back to Iroh.
Some of the audience were saddened that Iroh was once again captured by the Earthbenders.
They didn't like what the Earthbenders plans to do to Iroh.
19:03 - 19:10
The next scene shift back with Katara riding on Appa.
"I guess, Katara is having her own search party to find her brother and Aang. "Spinner said.
"Party where's the cake!"
"Not that kind of Party, Twice!"
19:10 - 19:28
The next scene shifts back to Zuko.
The scene was interesting for everyone. It has the prince spotting Appa while tracking his uncle.
"It seems like, Zuko has to make a choice, continue to track his uncle or capture the Avatar." All For One said.
Hearing the words of the Symbol of Evil, the Heroes and their students are expecting Zuko to choose to capture Aang over rescuing Iroh, but those who see that it is good within the Prince could see that Zuko would choose Iroh over Aang at this moment. Proving that there is a grey side in between their beliefs that there is only black and white in their world.
19:28 - 19:54
The next scene was Aang and Fang.
It shows Aang returning to his body.
"So this whole time, Aang's body was just sitting down on top of the Bear statue?" Denki said confused about what he is seeing.
To Yanagi, she could tell that Aang's body isn't just sitting down for comfort, but the Avatar was meditating, A practice that was forgotten over time since quirks became part of their society.
19:54 - 20:14
The next scene shows Aang returning to the village.
"Sorry Katara, but Aang, and we don't know where Hei Bai took your brother," Kosei said apologizing to the Waterbender.
After he apologized to the girl, the sun went to set.
"Crap, it's sunset, that means–"
"Hei Bai will come back to attack once again. Shit" Aizawa said. "Aang, have all the village return back inside. You're the bridge between man and spirit, no one but you can handle this upcoming problem." as everyone else gets ready to see what would Hei Bai will do next.
20:14 - 20:23
The next scene shifts back to Iroh.
The whole audience didn't like what the Earthbender is going to do with Iroh.
"Wait, are they going to crush Iroh's hands! Why!" Ochaco said. Feeling gross out to the actions of the Earthbenders.
"I'm afraid so, I think they're doing this to prevent Iroh from Firebending." Tenya said, afraid of what's to come.
He imagines villains doing the same things to his legs, to prevent him from ever using his quirk. It reminded Tenya of what Stain did to his brother's spine to prevent him to continue to be a Pro Hero.
Tenya knows that Earthbenders are doing the right thing, to bring Iroh to pay for his crimes at Ba Sing Se, but he doesn't agree with crushing the man's hands.
To Tenya, to his beliefs growing up, he was told people like Iroh are the villains and must be punished, True, the man lead a siege at Ba Sing Se for 600 days, but to Tenya he doesn't see Iroh as the same man who went to Siege the Earth Kingdom's capital city to it's downfall for the victory of his Nation. He can't believe what he's saying but he doesn't see Iroh as a villain, he might have been before but he seems different since then.
20:23 - 20:33
However, Iroh's hands got saved, by his nephew.
"WooHoo! Zuko to the rescue!" Himiko said.
Spinner smiled that Zuko decided to rescue Iroh instead of going to capture the Avatar. He was also impressed that Zuko was able to break the chain with his physical strength.
The Heroes and students were surprised to see that Zuko chose to save his uncle over capturing the Avatar. Something that they were not expecting for a villain like Zuko to do, his actions were different back when he and his troops went to attack Kyoshi just to capture the Avatar.
Once again this question their beliefs about their world being that their world could be more than simply black and white, that there is room for grey to be part of their world.
20:33 - 20:43
"It's five against two. Who do you think would win?" Hanta asks Midoriya.
"I have a feeling that Uncle and Nephew are the ones who would take the victory."
From the words of the Greenette, they felt no doubt that Iroh and Zuko are most likely to win even though the heroes root for the Earthbender.
For the first time, The Audience will witness Iroh, The Dragon of the West, in action.
20:45 - 21:17
The fight started, with Uncle and Nephew using quick and strong attacks to defeat the Earthbenders.
Even though the Earthbenders were in their element surrounded by Earth, the Earthbenders are outmatched by the teamwork of Iroh and Zuko.
"Iroh is so manly, he isn't even using his Firebending, his using his chains to fight as a weapon," Eijiro said.
"A master of Firebending and Iroh may even master hand to hand combat, the man is clearly a martial arts enigma," Aizawa said impressed by Iroh, he believe if he and Iroh went to fight each other, Shota believes that Iroh would have won against him, and that's with out his bending.
in the end, Uncle and Nephew won the fight, even though the odds were against them, the Earthbender was outmatch.
21:17 - 21:22
"Can you now please, wear some clothes Iroh." Kota said, covering his eyes after the fight.
21:22 - 21:43
The next scene shows Aang waiting for Hei Bai.
"It's sunset, the spirit should be here by now." Izuku said wondering here would Hei Bai could be?
21:43 - 21:51
"Oh no! Hei Bai is at the main building." Ochaco said scared for the villagers.
21:51 - 22:23
The Audience watched as Aang went to touch Hei Bai and it made a glow, similar to how Fang touched Aang with his whiskers showing the Avatar a vision.
Now that Aang did the same thing, it was revealed the truth to Aang.
They listen to the words of Aang.
1B was right when they solve the mystery earlier that, Hei Bai was attacking because the spirit's home got destroyed by the fire caused by the Firebenders. Now their statement became true.
What the Avatar did next was to offer Hei Bai hope, by giving him an acorn.
The Heroes and students were surprised by Aang's action that this conflict didn't end up having the Avatar fight Hei Bai as they expected back in their world such as Mount Lady's debut when she fought the big villain. Or All Might's fight against All For One.
Instead, The Avatar didn't fight the spirit, instead, he helped him by restoring the spirit's hope by giving him the acorn.
With the acorn, it can be planted like a seed, and once it grows the trees will grow back and the forest too.
Seeing Aang just talking to the spirit made the villains happy and wish that Heroes would have done that instead of locking them up.
For Twice especially, If Pro Heroes just helped him due to his mental illness instead of trying to lock him up, there was a chance that his life could end up differently.
Twice is like Hei Bai they were misunderstood, and he needed people to help him instead of locking him up.
22:23 - 22:33
The whole audience has their eyes widen, as they see Hei Bai's true form of a panda bear.
"Wait, this whole time, Hei Bai is Panda bear along!" Mina yelled from her shock.
"I think, when Hei Bai is upset, he turns into a multi-arm monster." Reiko said.
"Do you think if we calm Bakugo down, do you think he would stop looking ugly." Mina joked triggering the angry blond.
"What did you just say Pink! I'll kill you!"
Mina just laugh at Bakugo's face. "Classic Bakugo, empty death threats and yelling, what would he do next? Grow devil horns!" She continues to laugh as the scene continues to play.
22:33 - 22:38
As Hei Bai left peacefully, the spirit returned the missing villagers including Sokka.
"I guess that's what happened to Sokka and the villagers, Hei Bai probably took them to the spirit world," Reiko said.
"For 24 hours! That's insane! I wonder what Wonderland is the spirit world? Yosetsu said.
Now, that Awase comparing the Spirit World with Wonderland the students wonder and try to imagine what mysteries does the spirit world has to offer?
like would there be cakes or mushrooms that would make them big as a house? Or soda that has a label that says, 'Drink Me.' to make them small as a mouse.
22:38 - 22:50
The students laugh at Sokka's comment.
"I guess there is no washroom in the spirit world," Dabi said as he remember making Shoto wait while he was in the washroom.
22:50 - 23:08
"Really Sokka, their thank you is their best reward." Spinner said.
"At least Team Avatar is getting supplies. For their journey." Himiko said.
"I guess so." Spinner said. "Now the big question is, where to? The North Pole, or to meet Avatar Roku?"
From the lizard villain's words, the Whole audience remembers an important part that happened in this episode.
23:08 - 23:40 (last scene)
The heroes and students got their jaws drop to learn that, the only time for Aang to finally talk to Avatar Roku is during the Winter Solstice.
What's worst the island is located at the Fire Nation.
This was an interesting episode for the Audience to watch, they learn an interesting fact about this world, a lore that doesn't exist back in their world.
That would be the existence of spirits.
Now the audience wonder what new spirits that would come later in this world, they wonder if Spirit exist this whole time without them knowing it.
To be continued.
Next chapter, The Winter Solstice part 2, Avatar Roku.
Til next time.
