It's another KellyLives! Story. -- AU.
Tim is in his first year as an NCIS agent, not long out of FLETC. He is 22.
Kelly is 21, last year as an intern at a publishing house.
Jim Nelson, 23, FLETC graduate, NCIS intel analyst at Norfolk.
There was no Abby relationship! That arc is explained in story.
"Come on, it's your birthday. We have to go out." Tim's friend Jim Nelson encouraged him. The duo were stationed at the Norfolk office together and had been through FLETC together.
"Do we have to?" Tim begged, not a big fan of the club scene.
"Yes, you closed that huge case with MCRT team from DC. That alone is cause for celebration." Jim argued with his friend.
"Hey, I had to work with that DiNozzo character." Tim retorted.
"That alone is cause enough to drink." Jim answered him, knowing he would wear Tim down eventually.
Jim and Tim dressed, ready to hit the clubs in Norfolk. They stood in line at club 'bounce' for an hour before getting admittance. The club was bouncing, it was loud, pumping and smoky. The best was vibrating through the floor and up into the patrons. The boys hit the dance floor after their first beer. A young woman, early twenties caught Tim's eye. He signalled to his friend he was going to dance over that way as his friend found his roommate and joined her at the bar for some shots.
Kelly had been at the bar with her friend Stacey for an hour and a half now. Her friend had met up with her roommate and they were doing shots over by the bar. Not into shots, she decided to hit the dance floor to work off some alcohol, knowing it was a long bus ride back to DC in the morning before work on Monday. She was surveying the crowd, looking for a warm body to grind with. She caught the eye of a young man ten feet away. He'd been eyeing her off for a bit now. Slowly, he danced his way over to her. His tall, lanky six foot one frame towered over her five foot five lithe body. "I'm Tim." He whispered hotly in her ear.
"Kelly" she replied wholesomely with a smile.
"Kelly, pretty name." Tim whispered in return. "Want to dance with me?"
"God yes," Kelly replied. 'Oh my, the sexy guy wants to dance.'
As the beat changed Kelly stepped closer into Tim's personal space. His hands found her hips and pulled her flush to his body as they moved in time with the rhythm. Her arms reached up to his shoulder and she swung them around his neck loosely as their hips gnashed together. Tim looked down at her as he grind against her body. Soon enough her lips found his and they were making out their tongues meeting and duelling for dominance as their body's meshed together. Tim's hands travelled from her hips to her ass, then up her back under her blouse, not finding the back strap of a bra, his hands enjoyed free range of a naked back underneath her top. Kelly's hands trailed down his chest, her fingers toyed with the belt buckle on his jeans and explored the shape of his hardening manhood.
"Kels!" Stacey screamed and whistled at the pair in excitement. Kelly, in all their clubbing days, has never hooked up with anyone.
"Hey, that's my man Tim." Jim Nelson added. The housemates were excited that their two friends were hooking up.
"He better be a good man, or his balls are mine!" Stacey threatened her housemate.
"Hey, he was top of our class at FLETC, he's got a doctorate and four degrees, he's a certified genius and this is the first woman I've ever seen him want in the last six years since we met. He's the nicest guy you'll ever meet."
--
"DiNozzo!" Gibbs called him back as he was leaving the bullpen that night. "What did you think of that Norfolk rookie?"
"Bit green, he and Abby could of had a thing but she flaked out, as usual." Tony answered. "But he's freakishly smart. Heard a couple of the agents in the office talking about how he's just finished a doctorate in Justice and Criminology. Pretty impressive, boss."
"He has a BS in Biology and a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins and a BS in Computer Science and a masters in Computer Forensics from MIT." Gibbs recited what he'd read under education.
"Whoa! You serious? The kid's barely 22, he looks sixteen, though!" DiNozzo argued.
"Requested his 201 file. Apparently, he finished elementary school at ten, was done with high school by 14, away at college by 15." Gibbs said reading off his notes he'd made. "What do you think about adding him to the team?"
"He's awfully green." Tony was hesitant. He was awfully smart and that intimidated the jock.
"But a chance to have that much brains on our team. I think he'd be a good fit. Hey, he practically solved the mystery of that gas canister, you said he barely looked at it." Gibbs argued.
"Well yeah." Tony agreed, rubbing his hands through his hair.
"Then it's settled, I'll make the request."

Kelly, Tim, Stacey and Jim took the party back to Jim's apartment. Tim loved across the hall from Jim, so at least it wasn't too far for Tim to walk home. The four of them continued to drink and get to know each other. When Stacey stood, wordlessly took Jim into her bedroom and closed the door, Kelly burst out laughing. "I guess I've got the sofa."
"Or you could come home with me." Tim offered before he could think it through. "I'm across the hall."
Kelly joined Tim across the hall and they quickly picked up where they left off in the club, minus the music. Soon clothes began to be lost as they continued grinding their body's against each other and tongues duelled for dominance.
Tim woke the next morning to find himself rock hard and wrapped around a beautiful red head goddess. 'Kally? Kelsey? Kelly! That's it' he remembered and breathed a sigh of relief that he remembered. Not wanting to be that guy. They were both naked, he realised and before he knew it, her petite hand had reached behind her and started stroking his length.
After, another round of hot and steamy sex, followed by a romp in the shower, Tim and Kelly were on their way to his favourite diner across the street from the beach for brunch, before she had to leave for DC.
As the light turned green, Tim edged his Ford Fiesta out into the intersection and didn't see the green Cadillac come ploughing through the intersection, through the red light, hitting the passenger side of the back of his car on impact. Tim to lost control of his car and spin out. Tim threw his arm out, across the passenger side of the car, trying to prevent Kelly from flying into the airbags, headfirst. He'd hit his head on the column of the car and Kelly hit hers, both airbags finally deploying.
"You ok?" Tim asked, his right shoulder throbbing in pain, even without movement. His forearm, just as painful.
"I am fine, thanks to you." She said. They could hear the sirens of the EMT's as they arrived on scene. "Neck's a bit sore, but fine."
Kelly found herself separated from Tim while he was x-rayed and had a cat scan. Soon enough, they were back in the cubicle together. It was crazy busy in the emergency department for a Sunday morning and since they were in the accident together, the doctor assumed they were a couple and put them in the same cubicle.
--
It was early Sunday morning and Gibbs was enjoying a leisurely Sunday morning coffee and reading the paper. His cellphone blared, shattering his peaceful silence. "Yeah Gibbs." His tough voice spat out. They weren't on call and he knew Tony wouldn't be calling as he and his frat brothers were in New York for the weekend and Kate had gone home to see her sister in Indiana.
"Mr Gibbs, this is Eric from Sentara Norfolk hospital, emergency department calling. We have a Miss Gibbs here as a patient. Is that your daughter, Sir?"
"She is." He answered, his voice thick with emotion. "Is she ok?"
"She's remarkably well, considering the MVA she was involved in this morning."
"I'll come right away. I'm in DC, it'll take me a few hours to get there." Gibbs admitted.
"That's ok, I imagine she won't want to leave her friend anytime soon."
"Oh my god, is Stacey ok?" Gibbs asked, remembering that Kelly had made the trip down there to see her friend Stacey who lived there.
"Her friends name isn't Stacey, sir. I believe it was just the two of them in the vehicle." Eric said softly, knowing he really shouldn't have divulged that information to her father.
"I'll be there as soon as I can." Gibbs promised, before heading out the door and tearing down his street at breakneck speed towards the freeway. Easing off the accelerator when he remembered what the nurse said about Kelly being involved in a motor vehicle accident this morning.
--
"I'm Gibbs, I'm looking for my daughter." Gibbs told the receptionist at the emergency room window. "Kelly Gibbs."
"Yes, she's in cubicle 7, bed b. The police officer over there can give you some details while I page her doctor for you."
Turning around, Gibbs spied a man in. Norfolk PD uniform observing him. "Gibbs, NCIS." Gibbs introduced himself holding up his badge. "What have you got?"
"Which one is yours?" The young officer asked. "The NCIS agent or the passenger named Gibbs?"
"Huh?" Gibbs was confused. 'The young officer must have his wires crossed.' Gibbs thought. "My daughter is Kelly Gibbs." He specified.
"Sorry, the driver is an NCIS agent." The officer said softly. "Multiple witnesses stated that a green caddy ran a red light. It t-boned the agent. Based on the drivers injuries, it appears that the agent threw his arm across her body to prevent her from going flying through the windshield on impact."
"Why was my daughter with an NCIS agent?" He asked. 'Nothing about this makes sense.' Gibbs thought.
"We do not know the answer to that, sir. But he was driving his personal vehicle, not a fleet car."
--
"Gunny Gibbs," a man called out. Looking up, Gibbs spied Dr. Riley Wexler, Stacey's father.
"Riley!" Gibbs said shaking the young man's hand. "Is Stacey ok? The girls, they were together?"
"Negative Gunny, I recognised Kelly when the EMT's bought her friend in. Kelly rode in with him. I checked her out while my associate took over his care. Kelly's this way." Riley lead Gibbs down the corridor, to cubicle 7. "We're swamped in here, she wanted to share a cubicle with her friend. The one from the accident. I'll leave you to it, she's in bed B."
"Riley, how is her friend? His NCIS according to the cop out front." Gibbs asked.
"He's got minor internal bleeding, broken forearm, dislocated shoulder, whiplash, cuts, bruises and some swelling. Kelly got off easy, the impact was on her side too, he managed to prevent her from being seriously injured. The police have the footage from traffic cams."
Gibbs cautiously and quietly entered the cubicle and visibly winced. He wasn't prepared to see Kelly with a scratch down her face and bruise on her clavicle from the seat belt. Kelly wasn't sitting on the cot, instead she was in a chair by her friend's bed. Stepping further into the room, Kelly looked up, spying her father. He joined her by her friend's bedside. "Hey baby, you ok?" She nodded yes.
"I'm more worried about him." She indicated causing Gibbs to look down.
"McGee?" He asked, squinting. "Agent McGee?" He asked again, struggling to make out if it was the green rookie he'd worked with earlier in the week or now. Gibbs couldn't tell under the swelling and bruising on the young man's face.
Tim opened his eyes and groaned out in pain, wishing he hadn't have opened his eyes. "Tim?" Kelly soft voice asked. "Do you need more pain relief?" She asked, noticing his painful expressions.
"I'm ok, Kel." He answered softly, not opening his eyes.
"McGee?" Gibbs tried again. Kelly was looking at her father weirdly. 'Does Dad know Tim? How does Dad know Tim?' She thought.
"Whaaa?" Tim asked, cracking on eye lid open, before tightly closing them. "What you doing here Gibbs?" He asked as he tried to manoeuvre himself into a sitting position.
"Easy McGee, easy." Gibbs urged, as he raised the back of the bed so McGee could sit up a bit. "What are you doing with my daughter?"
"We are supposed to be having a leisurely walk on the beach after a gourmet breakfast right now." Kelly growled at her father. 'Can't believe him, he's interrogating Tim while he's injured. Unbelievable!' She fumed internally. 'When we get out of hereā¦' she threatened him silently.
"Breakfast?" Gibbs asked, turning to Kelly. "What the hell? Just when did you two meet?" Gibbs demanded.
Kelly looked at her watch before answering. "About twelve hours ago."
"We will discuss this at home!" Gibbs growled. Kelly took the pen that her Dad always kept in the top pocket of his polo shirt and grabbed Tim's cast on his right arm gently. She signed the pristine white plaster cast with her name, surrounded it with love hearts and wrote her cell number underneath.
"Give me a call sometime soon." She said, as she kissed Tim softly and her father dragged her out of his room.
