Sorry for such a long break between updates.
Work has been hectic, and I was ill the last 3/4 days
I hope you enjoy the chapter.
Kuro let out a groan as she awoke to her alarm. It was still early in the morning for someone that had been out till late in the morning. Kuro rolled out of bed, knowing that she wasn't able to sleep in this morning. She had so much to do today.
Starting off with cooking lunch for herself, her brother and Koneko, Kuro quickly got dressed and grabbed her class cards and strapped them to her thigh, hidden by her skirt.
She had already decided to go to her meeting with Rias and Sona with the Emiya card installed. It was the one that she was most used to using, and it had the largest arsenal of weapons, including many holy swords, something that would be invaluable if they got the idea of trying to kill her and bring her back as a slave.
While Kuro didn't expect them to try such an approach, it was not something that she could guarantee.
"Good morning, Mom," Kuro said, walking into the kitchen and grabbing her apron.
"Good morning Kuro. Did you have a nice sleep?" Mom asked as she kissed her on the forehead.
"Ya, I had a great night's sleep," Kuro said sarcastically as she pulled some salmon fillets out of the fridge.
"You cooking for someone else?" Mom asked, seeing that she had gotten six salmon fillets out.
"Yep, I made a friend at school and promised I would make her a bento today," Kuro said as she started marinating the salmon.
"I see that is very nice of you, Kuro," Mom said as she got on with making breakfast.
Kuro didn't notice the time slip by as she and her mother were busy cooking food, and Kuro wasn't broken out of her trance until her father came down.
A few moments later, Issei walked down the stairs before looking at Kuro and turning bright red, and quickly taking a seat down at the table. The atmosphere around Issei was awkward, something that both mum and dad noticed but weren't sure what it was about.
"Here is your Bento Issei," Kuro said, handing his Bento over before putting two inside her bag.
"Bye Mum and Dad," Kuro shouted as she ran out of the door.
She didn't feel like walking with Issei today as he was meeting the two other perverts, and Kuro found them to be super annoying while she had nothing against perverts as most people were perverts in private.
It was the constant shouting about being perverts to everyone that she found super annoying.
Soon the school appeared in her view. Not surprisingly, Sona was greeting everyone at the entrance and making sure there were all wearing the correct uniform.
"Good morning Kuro," Sona greeted as she walked into school.
"Good morning Sona," Kuro greeted back as she walked past.
"We have had to move out meeting to after school on the roof just to make sure that no one overhears us," Sona said.
"Okay, I shall see you then," Kuro said.
She agreed with that change as she wouldn't want normal humans to get caught in a fight that could break out should the meeting go south. There was also the risk of people overhearing them, which would cause more problems.
As for the venue being the roof that just worked better for herself should a fight break out, it also meant that she could install the Emiya card at the end of the day without anyone noticing.
Kuro entered her homeroom to see that Kiba, Yura and Momo were already in the classroom.
"Good morning," Kuro greeted as the devils seemed a little tense, no doubt worried about the upcoming meeting.
Kuro hoped that they didn't take her not joining either peerage too badly, but there was truly nothing that being a devil offered her.
She didn't care for the extended life span, which Kuro guessed what the main selling point of being a devil.
"Good morning," they replied back before going back to talking to each other.
Kuro shrugged it off and sat down; it made sense to her that they wouldn't talk to her till they knew if it was going to end up in a fight.
It was not too difficult to kill an enemy that you don't know or have a relationship with but to kill a friend would be much, much harder for them to do.
But given that the meeting was scheduled for the end of the day, it shouldn't be too long before she can get to know them all.
It would be nice to have people from whom she didn't need to lie and hide things from.
She knew how dangerous the moon-lit world was, and Kuro didn't want to drag her brother or new parents into such a dangerous place. She had used her Kiss Demon skill.
While she no longer needed a constant supply of mana to exist in the world, she had still kept the skill in her new life, and she had used it to see if her brother had any talent for magic.
He didn't. He had a tiny amount of mana, and once drained, it would take days for that tiny amount to be refiled. Kuro knew that he had no chance at being a magician and wasn't even sure if he would be able to cast a single spell.
Not that she knew any to teach them as Kuro used Magical Circuits to power her spells, and he couldn't install cards without a Kaleidostick, and she doubted that Ruby would enter a contract with her brother.
Magical Ruby had high standards for Magical girls, and Kuro was sure that being a girl would be one of those requirements, and she wasn't even sure if Magical Ruby could contract with people without magical circuits.
But it was better off that her family was not involved in the moon-lit world at all, and that was the way that Kuro was going to keep it.
Most of the class had arrived by now, and she was getting pitying looks from most of the class. She guessed that Issei had been caught doing something perverted.
Something that surprised her as it wasn't like there was much going on for him to perv on at the start of the school, and none of the girls said what he had done, so she was left confused.
Kuro shrugged it out of her mind. While Issei may be a pervert, something that wasn't rare in her new family, given what she had heard coming from their parent's room. He was a good person, and it wasn't like she could talk; she had lost count of the number of girls she had kissed.
She had done so in the hopes that she could gain some benefit out of draining mana from people, but the biggest problem she had come across in her tests was that almost every human had what compared to her, was tiny amounts of magic.
Even after draining eight people dry of magic, it wasn't even enough to project more than Kanshou and Bakuya, which was pathetic. They were not powerful swords or anything like that, so the fact it took 8 people's worth of mana was ridiculous.
"Kuro, it's lunchtime," the girl next to her said, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Thank you," Kuro said, putting her books away.
"Would you like to join us for lunch?" the girl asked, seeing Kuro standing up.
"No, im meeting someone from the primary division to share lunch," Kuro said kindly.
"Oh, okay, another time, then the girl said back with a smile,"
Kuro quickly made her way back to the area where she had met Koneko yesterday, took a seat down at the tree, and took out her two Bentos.
It was only a few minutes later that Koneko arrived and had brought Kiba along with her, no doubt something their master had ordered just in case she was hostile.
"Hello, Kiba, Koneko", Kuro greeted as they walked over.
"Hello Kuro," Kiba greeted as they walked up, and Koneko nodded in greeting.
"Here you go, Koneko," Kuro said, handing over the Bento to Koneko, who had sat down and quickly opened the Bento and had pulled chopsticks from somewhere.
Kuro opened up her Bento and started to eat her food. A few moments later, Kuro looked up to ask Koneko what she thought of the food only to find her with a look of bliss on her face and the Bento empty.
"Delicious," Koneko said, looking longly at her now empty Bento.
"Im glad you enjoyed it," Kuro said, looking at Koneko and resisting the urge to pat her head like a kitten.
The rest of lunch was rather tense between her and Kiba as Koneko seemed to spend the rest of lunch either blissed-out or eating chocolate. Kuro was sure that the sin that Koneko embraced was gluttony. Given how she had eaten seven bars of chocolate, she was a little worried for her teeth, though.
"I shall see you after school then," Kuro said, standing up and placing her two Bento's back into the box.
"Yes, on the roof," Kiba said as a reminded though part of Kuro wondered if the two peerages had a lack of communication.
There were two high-class devils. After all, which meant two different peerages, it stood to reason that Koneko and Kiba were in one peerage, and the three girls were in another peerage.
She would no doubt learn about who was in what peerage later today. In the meantime, she needed to think of things that she could ask for as part of her contract, as so far, she had come up with nothing.
She knew what she could offer, and that was her combat ability and magical weapons. As far as Kuro could tell, there was no Alaya in this world, which meant any blades that she did project would just stay around unless she dismissed them.
These were all her selling points in her contract, as her other forms of magic were minimal. She could use a few runes and a bit of jewel magecraft that Rin had taught her.
If she had a good caster class card, then she would be able to inherit their abilities with it installed. Unfortunately, all she had was Mozart, who wasn't a very good caster.
In fact, Kuro couldn't think of a situation where it would be beneficial for her to install the caster card.
That still left her with the problem of what to ask for in exchange and how long the contract should even be.
Asking for money was always a safe bet. What she would use or need the money for Kuro didn't really know, but having money was never a bad thing.
She wasn't sure if that was all she wanted. She knew other mages would ask to study demonic magic, but it was pointless for her to do so as she used a different magic system.
Kuro was relieved to hear the final bell of the school day. Standing up, Kuro quickly made her way out of the classroom and to the roof as fast as possible.
She wanted to get their first so that she could install the Emiya class card. It would be her fallback if they tried to kill her and reincarnate her as a devil by force, something she was sure they wouldn't do, but devils were proud.
Kuro wasn't sure how they would react if they felt like she had injured their pride especially given their age. If they were old devils, then Kuro would expect they would have built up self-control.
Opening the door to the roof, Kuro was glad to see that it was empty and quickly pulled out the Emiya card.
"Ruby install," Kuro called out, activating the card.
In a matter of seconds, Kuro was changed into the Emiya class, with her clothing being replaced with black shorts with a red robe around the waist and a red jacket covering her arms and a black portion covering her chest.
More importantly, was her ability to use Emiya's Noble Phantasm Unlimited Blade Works. Kuro quickly found and kept a Holy sword on standby, ready to be projected at any time.
Kuro walked over to the fence and leaned against it, waiting for the devils to arrive. She was sure it would take a little while as all of the two peerages had to get together and then make their way to the roof.
It was ten minutes later that she felt them walking up the stairs. It hadn't occurred to her before, but she wondered why they didn't bother hiding their aura or how powerful they were.
Maybe due to this being devil territory, they didn't feel the need to hide what they were. She wasn't exactly sure how the cold war with all three factions worked as none of the strays was more than low-class devils.
Kuro had a revelation she could ask for money and information. Given they were both high-class devils, they must have far more information than the low-class strays that she had been killing who know only the very basics.
The devils came through the door with Rias and Sona leading at the front and with two girls following them that Kuro had never seen before. The girl next to Rias had a voluptuous figure, very long black hair and violet eyes with her hair tied up in a ponytail reaching down to her legs.
Kuro was surprised that she had an even bigger chest than Rias and felt a flare of jealousy.
The girl next to Sona was a woman with long straight black hair that extended down to her knees, with split bangs and heterochromatic eyes, a violet left eye and a light brown right eye wearing glasses like Sona did.
Kuro guessed that these were the queens in each peerage and usually the second strongest in the peerage.
After the queens came the rest of the peerages with Kiba, Koneko standing next to Rias.
Next was three girls, which Kuro wasn't surprised to see as she already knew they were devils. Reya Kusaka, Momo Hanakai, and Tomoe Meguri went and stood next to Sona.
"I guess we should introduce ourselves properly," Sona said, stepping forward as she quickly looked Kuro up and down.
Not that Kuro could blame her. With a class card installed, she would be wearing their clothing but modified to suit her body, and the Emiya card left nothing to the imagination.
After all, she was really only wearing some shorts and a bra with a cloak made from a holy shroud, something that the devils had noticed given the looks that the low-class devils were giving it though it didn't seem to bother Rias and Sona.
Kuro guessed that stronger devils must be more resistant to Holy power; otherwise, they wouldn't have survived the great war if a tiny bit of Holy power could kill a devil regardless of how powerful the devil was.
She wondered if there was a point that devils would become immune to Holy power.
"My name is Sona Sitri, heiress of the Sitri clan," Sona formally introduced herself.
"My name is Rias Gremory, heiress of the Gremory clan, and this is my peerage," Rias said, copying Sona's formal introduction.
"I won't be joining a peerage, but as a mage, im open to a contract with either or both of you," Kuro stated.
"You sure there is nothing that can make you change your mind," Rias asked, disappointed.
"Nope, there is nothing that can change my mind," Kuro said with absolute certainty.
"I guess either me or Rias can enter a contract with you depending on the contract terms," Sona said.
Kuro couldn't tell if Sona was disappointed that she couldn't get Kuro to join her peerage, but Sona also had far more of her peerage completed than Rias did, so it was no doubt not a big problem for her.
"Exactly what I was thinking, so I will say that I am a combat mage and that all of my magic is combat-related,"
"All of your magic?" Sona asked.
"Yep, all of my magic is combat-related."
"What do you want for entering a contract?" Rias asked.
"Hmm, knowledge and money, I guess," Kuro said with a shrug.
"I guess that means you will be contracting with Rias as the Sitri clan magic is more geared to healing magic, and I wasn't after a contract, so I shall leave you here, Rias," Sona said, leaving with her peerage.
Kuro thought about correcting her as she was leaving, but she wasn't going to join a peerage. It would be pointless, and she was sure that Rias would have access to the same amount of knowledge that Sona.
"I would have to see how good you are at combat before I would be willing to make an offer on a contract," Rias said.
"And how do you suggest we do that?"
"If you can beat two of my peerage, that will be good enough," Rias said.
"At the same time or one on one?" Kuro asked.
"One on one, of course. It would be unfair to expect you to beat them at the same time," Rias said, not noticing the twitching of Kuro's eye.
Kuro wasn't sure if she should feel insulted or not. She was 100% sure that she would no doubt be able to beat her entire peerage at the same time. After all, she had fought heroic spirits that were hundreds of times more powerful than they were.
"You can fight against Kiba, who is my knight and Akeno, my queen and the best magic-user in my peerage,"
"Im guessing not on the roof?" Kuro said, looking around the roof. While it wasn't the best area to fight, given how closed in it was, Kuro could make it work.
"No, of course not. We have an area behind the Occult club that we can use to spar," Rias said.
"Meet there then?" Kuro said.
"Sure," Rias said as Akeno created a magical circle for them to teleport through.
Kuro let out a sigh while she did have the ability to teleport, which in itself was amazing given that teleportation was almost true magic. The only problem it was short-range teleportation, but it could be done in less than a second.
Kuro jumped onto the railing and jumped down the building after seeing the coast was clear, not that it was a surprise given school had finished almost 15 minutes ago.
Kuro silently landed on the ground before performing a mana burst and rocketing off towards the old school building. It only took her 2 seconds to cover 500 meters while that was fast it was nothing compared to Artoria Pendragon, who could cover the same distance in less than a second.
Kuro wasn't surprised when she crossed into a bounded field. In fact, learning that two heiresses were going to school here, Kuro was surprised that the entire school wasn't covered in a bounded field.
Kuro made her way towards the back of the school building, where she could feel the devils waiting for her.
"Who would you like to go up against first?" Rias asked.
Kuro looked between Kiba and Akeno. Given that Kiba was a knight, he would most likely be using a sword. Kuro knew that it wouldn't be hard for her to beat Kiba, and she was far more skilled in using swords than Kiba could ever hope to be.
As for Akeno, she was just going to use her speed and power to beat her.
"Kiba first, then I will do Akeno," Kuro said, placing her bag down and walking into the middle of what seemed to be a tennis court.
"Careful what you promise," Akeno said, giggling in a dark manner.
Kuro just smiled back. She was 100% sure that she had far more experience at pushing girls down than Akeno did after she had kissed an entire school of girls while pretending to be Illya.
"Okay, Kiba do your best," Rias said.
Kuro could hear that Rias thought she had already won, and if she was a normal magus or magician, then Kuro could agree with her, but she wasn't. She was Emiya, whose magic could form blades in less than a second.
Kiba walked onto the other side of the court before giving her an encouraging smile and forming a sword writhed in fire.
Kuro was a little surprised that Kiba could create swords like Emiya, with the only difference being that he didn't use any magic to do so, and they were not projected in the same way that she did.
"It seems we have things in common, Kiba," Kuro said, smirking. In less than a second, Kuro had projected Kanshou and Bakuya into her hands.
The two swords were perfect for Kuro's fighting style, which was constantly moving around and attacking relentlessly.
"A sacred gear?"
"But the swords are not holy or demonic, so it can't be Blade Blacksmith or Sword birth," Kuro heard the people watching whispering.
That confirmed that Kiba wasn't using magic to project them, meaning that he wouldn't be pulling out something like a Noble Phantasiam, and it seemed that there were two versions of Kiba's sacred gears, and each limited to either Holy or Demonic swords.
Given Kiba was wielding a demonic sword, she now knew that he wasn't able to make Holy swords, but that still left a lot that Kuro didn't know about how the sacred gear worked. If he could make any demonic sword, it could lead to problems if she took him too lightly.
Kuro tried tracing the blade to see if she could see the history of the user, but it was only a few moments old, so it left her with nothing about his combat style.
So Kuro moved on to inspecting Kiba himself. Given his body, he didn't look very strong, so Kuro marked him as a speed user instead of a power user.
"Im starting Kuro," Kiba warned before he lunged at her.
Kuro had to admit that normal humans wouldn't be able to keep up with Kiba at all, and most wouldn't even be able to see him move, but Kuro had fought against Alter Saber, who had A rank mana bust. Kiba didn't look to be moving any faster than a regular human running.
It was nearly effortless for Kuro to apply mana burst to her sword and bat Kiba's sword away and send the devil skidding back ten meters.
It was easy to see all of them were surprised at Kuro being able to react and send Kiba skidding away as they thought she was an average human and wasn't something as powerful as a heroic spirit.
Kuro wasted no time in attacking back and teleported behind Kiba and brought her blades down. The crisp ting of steel meeting steel rang out as the blades clashed.
Kuro twisted out of the way of Kiba's slash at her. Kuro threw her two blades at Kiba as she landed on the ground that. Kiba avoided the two blades and charged at her looking sure that he had her now that she had thrown her two swords at him.
It had only taken Kuro a few minutes and clashes with Kiba to see that while he may have had a lot of practice with swords. However, his actual experience in sword fights was very slim, and Kuro was sure that he had almost no experience in fights where he was on the losing side.
Kuro decided that she had learned enough, and it was time to end the fight.
Kuro appeared infrount of Kiba in an instant, using mana bust and punched him in the chest while applying mana bust, driving the wind out of Kiba before Kuro twisted and brought her leg down on Kiba, slamming him into the ground.
"Enough, Kuro has won," Rias said, looking worried for Kiba as he gasped on the ground, trying to get his breath back.
Kuro let Kanshou and Bakuya fade away, knowing that she wouldn't need them to deal with Akeno.
Looking at Akeno, Kuro knew that Gáe Dearg would be her best weapon against Akeno due to its ability to nullify magic. If she didn't have that, she would have no other option but to use her speed to dodge and either teleport and attack or use her bow to fire a sword at her.
Akeno giggled as she took the spot that Kiba had taken as lightning crackled in her hand.
"I won't hurt you too much," Akeno said with a sadistic smile on her face.
"Ready," Rias said, checking on Kiba one last time.
"Begin!"
Kuro wasted no time in mana, bursting away from where she was standing, and it was a good thing she did as a second later, a bolt of lightning struck where she was just standing.
Kuro traced Kanshou and Bakuya and threw them at Akeno before mana bursting to another spot. She wanted to see what a Queen was capable of and see the limit of their magic ability, or Kuro would have ended this fight already.
Kuro was able to tell the Akeno was able to see her moving while using Mana burst, unlike Kiba but wasn't sure if that was due to her being stronger than Kiba in terms of power or if the Queen piece had a stronger effect than the single knight piece.
As for the lightning, while it was strong and fast, it seemed that it took Akeno some time before she could cast it, given she hadn't just rained lightning down on her constantly.
Kuro watched as Akeno made a barrier to block her Kanshou and Bakuya that looked strong enough to stop projectiles, but it was miles away from the Prisma barrier that she could make with Magical Ruby.
The surprising thing was that Akeno didn't need to say any words to cast both the two spells.
Kuro searched through her reality marble for a sword to use against Akeno. She resisted the urge to just pull out a holy sword as the duel would no doubt end right away, given how weak devils were to holy swords when she tested them on strays.
Kuro projected the Sword of Boudica and lunged at Akeno, who tried to use her barrier to block the sword's swing and jumped away, seeing her barrier almost shatter in a single blow.
Kuro relentlessly chased Akeno down, shattering every barrier that she used. She was majorly disappointed that she had yet to make a single barrier that was able to not be destroyed by her sword.
She hadn't used its true name yet and wasn't even sure she would need to use it to deal with Akeno. Even though she had the abilities of the Knight and Rook piece, it seemed that Akeno hadn't put any time into those sides of her Queen piece and only focused on magic which seemed like a massive waste to Kuro.
Once she had won, she would have to spend a lot of time with Kiba and Akeno, training the both of them in daily spars to make them stronger given Rias' position; it stood to reason that she would have strong enemies.
Kuro jumped away and started firing mana bolts from the sword at Akeno, pelting her with projectiles. It was one of the most convenient abilities of the sword as it was low cost in terms of mana consumption and was quick to fire.
Akeno jumped in the sky, and wings erupted from her back, and she flew higher as Kuro stopped pelting her with mana bullets to see what she had done, but the fact she had spent the entire time running away was starting to piss her off.
Kuro was a person that dealt with things in a head-on manner, and the constant running away without her fighting back in any way was becoming pointless.
Kuro wondered if the problem was that Akeno was used to fighting in a group that would back her up and cover up her weak areas removing the need for Akeno to fix them herself.
Kuro watched as Akeno once again channelled lightning into her hands before holding them above her head, making a large magic circle in the sky and lightning built up in the circle.
Kuro could only shake her head at what Akeno was doing. She knows that she can shoot mana bullets at her from range and yet used a spell that required such a long cast time. It just proved what she thought that Akeno and no doubt the rest of the peerage was too used to fighting in a group.
Kuro was out of patience now and decided to end the spar here. Kuro poured large amounts of mana into the sword.
"Imperfect sword of wishes great my wish, Sword of Boudica," Kuro called out as the sword glowed bright gold.
The golden light erupted from the blade and formed into 100s of golden mana projectiles before launching themselves at Akeno, who wasn't prepared for the large attack and pelted into her, destroying most of her clothing, as she fell out of the sky and crashed into the ground.
"Akeno!" Rias shouted before running over to her, looking worried.
Kuro wasn't worried about Akeno, her clothing may be destroyed, and she would have some nasty bruises, but it wouldn't be any worse than that, and Kuro would heal her in a minute anyway.
Kuro let the sword fade away, something that she needed to do by herself now she was in a world without Alaya or her swords would stay around forever as far as Kuro could tell or at the very least, they would last for at least two years.
That was the longest that Kuro had tested keeping a sword in the world without supplying it any mana, and while it was a normal sword, Kuro was sure that it wouldn't matter on what blade she projected; they would all stay around in the world till she made them fade.
"She will be fine. She will only have some bruises. That spell was a weak one compared to what I could have used," Kuro said, walking over to Rias and Akeno.
Kuro was a little surprised to see that Akeno didn't really look in pain and had a semi pleasurable look on her face. Kuro was sure that she was a sadist, but it seemed that she was also a masochist.
Kuro projected a staff into her hands " My this be a world without pain and without misery... Pain Breaker!" Kuro called out as Prisma colour sparkes burst forth from the staff and rained down over Akeno, covering her in a soft glow.
A moment later, all of her injuries were healed. Kuro nodded, seeing that it worked and let the staff fade away now that its job was done.
"How did you do that?" Rias asked, looking over Akeno to see how well she was healed.
"It was a healing spell that fixed, and damage was done by magic," Kuro said as Akeno sat up.
"Im sorry, Bucho," Akeno said, looking sad and angry that she had lost.
"Don't, Akeno, you tried your best, and you're a magic user, so you were at a disadvantage," Rias said, trying to make Akeno feel better.
"Now it's time for your punishment Akeno," Kuro said, smiling, and before either Rias or Akeno could say another thing, Kuro jumped on her and pinned her down and kissed her.
As they kissed, Kuro activated her kiss demon skill to drain the mana out of Akeno. Akeno tried to resist for a minute before surrendering to Kuro's kissing skill.
Akeno let out a moan as they kissed. Kuro pulled back, smirking as Akeno had a slight blush from what had just happened.
"Well, guess time to nail down the particulars of our contract then, Rias?"
"Err ya sure, let's go inside," Rias said, helping Akeno to her feet, looking uncomfortable.
Kuro guessed that even if she was a devil, she was still an heiress of a noble family and wouldn't have had a lot of exposure to sex, so she got to tease both Rias and Akeno with a single kiss.
Kuro followed them into the old school building and almost shouted out in annoyance at the look of the inside. It was dark, with the light mainly coming from candles with a crest or spell circle on the floor, so what most would guess a stereotypical devil lair to look like.
"Tell me the lights work," Kuro said to herself as she flicked the switch on and to her relief, the lights did work, only for her to get more annoyed a moment later as it meant they wanted the room to look like a crypt.
"Really, you could have gone with any design, and you pick dark and creepy!" Kuro huffed out in annoyance.
"What it fits with the whole Occult club cover," Rias said, pouting that someone didn't like it.
"Does anyone else even see the inside?" Kuro asked, not believing that other people had seen the inside of the old school building at all.
"They could," Rias said, sulking.
"Moving on to the contract terms?"
"Well, the only terms I have are that you help us in combat situations, given that is all your magic can do. What are your requirements?"
"Well, I want two things first, knowledge of the supernatural world and money, preferably for each stray that I kill."
"What sort of knowledge and money is easy to do, but I will just make it a monthly wage of 150 thousand yen," Rias said.
Kuro thought about the knowledge that she wanted. As for the money, that wasn't really something that she cared about that much, and 150 thousand yen was around 1170 dollars.
It was a little on the low end, but Kuro was also sure that Rias didn't get into a lot of fights, and the ones she did get into would carry almost no danger to Kuro, so it was essentially free money.
"Knowledge on other races in the world maybe a list of the strongest people in the world and what factions to avoid getting on the bad side of etc.," Kuro said, thinking about what she needed the most.
She could get more fine details later on.
"That seems fine," Rias said as she filled out the contract and signed it with her name before sliding it over to Kuro.
Kuro looked over the contract and saw that it stated a length of ten years and performed structural analysis on the contract and was surprised that it wasn't magically enforced and was nothing more than a normal piece of paper with the Gremory crest as a watermark.
Kuro picked up the pen and signed the contract as well before handing it over to Rias, who duplicated it with magic and gave her a copy.
"Well, that is our contract done," Rias said happily.
"That it is. Do we have anything more to talk about as my parents were expecting me home soon," Kuro said.
"Nope, that is everything today, but if we can spend some more time getting to know each other," Rias asked.
"Sure, lunch here tomorrow," Kuro suggested seeing Koneko perk up at the mention of lunch and look at her longly.
"Yes, that works perfectly. We normally have lunch together," Rias said.
"Excellent see you for lunch tomorrow then, and yes, I shall bring you a lunch Koneko,"
