Kuro left the Occult club and made her home at normal human speed. She had let her parents know that she was staying behind to talk to some of the clubs she had signed up for, so she had no reason to rush home.
She had a lunch to plan out as Kuro had decided to make lunch for everyone in the Occult club as a welcome gesture.
Did she need to do so? No.
But given she would be contracted to Rias Gremory for the next ten years, she would do her best to get along with her and her peerage. As for Kiba and Akeno, she was sure that she would get along with both of them quickly. Kiba would no doubt love to practice his swordsmanship with her, and Akeno seemed like the perfect person to tease.
Kuro was sure that Koneko would love to spend time cooking with her as much as she loved to eat her cooking.
She wasn't sure how much she would have in common with Rias herself, but it was early days, and none of them really knew each other, so maybe there was something they both shared in common.
Kuro pushed all that to the side as she walked into her home. Kuro had done her best to keep her two lives separate, not in the same way as Illya had tried to do so. But she still did everything she could in order to not bring any part of the supernatural world back home with her.
That, without a doubt, meant that she wasn't going to be inviting any devils or angels into her home.
"Did everything work out, Kuro?" Mum asked as she closed the front door.
"Yep, everything worked out fine and im spending lunch with them tomorrow. Can you help me cook dinner for four people, please?" Kuro asked, walking into the kitchen.
"Kuro," Miki Hyoudou said, sighing.
"It's just for this single time, I promise," Kuro said, knowing her mum was worried that Kuro would end up cooking for tons of people again all the time.
"Fine, but this one time," Miki Hyoudou said as she was cooking dinner.
"Thank you," Kuro said with a large smile before running up to her room to get changed.
Kuro was happy tonight was going to be nice and relaxed. She had nothing to do on the supernatural side, and Ruby hadn't detected any Class Cards that she needed to deal with.
"What about your quest? Aren't you going to work on that?" Magical Ruby asked, floating up in his Kildostick form.
"How do you want me to work on that? I have done the first objective. I have no way to do the second objective now, so I can just relax," Kuro said, pulling on some pyjamas.
They were not as nice as the ones that she used to tease her brother Shiro, but they were far better than what her parents had first wanted to get her, which were far too covering for Kuro's liking.
How could she tease other girls at sleepovers if her pyjamas didn't show a bit of skin? In the end, she had to compromise and just get some nice silk pyjamas.
Kuro realised that she would have her own money soon, so she could go and buy some herself. Maybe she could take Akeno along with her to tease.
Kuro jumped onto her bed as her mind turned back to her old life and hoped that they were all safe and happy. Kuro hoped that Illya wasn't still shy about loving her brother and even found herself hoping that Illya would take good care of Shiro.
Kuro shook her head, knowing that it wouldn't do anything more than make her feel depressed if she continued to think about the past. She had no choice but to continue moving forward and knew her old friends would want her to do so as well.
The rest of the night went by with Kuro simply relaxing in her bedroom with Magical Ruby floating around the room. She was a little surprised that Issei hadn't come to complain that she had spent time with the two great Onee-Sama.
But Kuro guessed that since it was at the end of the school day, her brother hadn't heard about it. No doubt he was busy peeking at the girls getting changed. She was sure by tomorrow night, and he would be in her room crying about how lucky she was.
Kuro wondered how Issei would react to learning that Akeno was a sadist and masochist. However, she wasn't sure if Issei would be able to make her flip into the masochist mode.
Kuro crawled into bed, wrapped her bedding around herself, and drifted off.
-Page Break-
Kuro was wondering how long it would take for her brother to learn about the club that she had joined and if he would be able to wait till they had gotten home to ask her about it.
Kuro hoped he would wait till they got home. Making friends would be hard enough for her, with Issei being her brother, as it would scare most girls off. Kuro guessed that was a plus for the devils as they didn't seem to care.
But devils were meant to be sinful and tempt people into sin, or they were, according to the bible. This only brought more questions for Kuro was the bible made and written by God or angels, or was the church the people that made it.
As for the church, itself was that run by humans with no real overhead done by heaven or where all the major decisions that happened done with heaven's involvement.
While Kuro knew that the two factions were no doubt not on good terms, how mad was the relationship? Did they kill each other on sight?
Given that Cleria Belial and Masaomi Yaegaki were both killed, it gave Kuro the idea that it wasn't as bad as a kill on sight, but it must be not far from that. She knew there was more to their murder, but she doubted they would have been allowed to continue their relationship regardless.
Walking into the classroom, she saw that the devils were again here first, and Kuro wondered if it was due to their king being in charge of the student council that they were always the first to class.
"Good morning," Kuro greeted with a smile.
"Good morning Kuro," the three girls greeted back far more willingly and warm than they had the day before.
"You three are always the first to class?"
"We have to set a good example. We will be members of the student council in a few months, and Buchou wouldn't ever let us be late regardless," Momo said.
"Good morning Kuro," Kiba said as he entered the classroom.
"Good morning Kiba," Kuro greeted back.
"We still meeting for lunch? Koneko can't seem to wait," Kiba asked.
"Yep, I have made lunch for everyone in the Occult club hope you guard it will or im sure Koneko will eat it all," Kuro said as she got a slight blush on her face thinking how cute Koneko looked as she ate.
"I can't wait anything Koneko loves should be delicious," Kiba said, taking a seat at his desk.
Kuro noticed several of the girls outside the classroom glaring at her as they looked at Kiba longingly. Kuro ignored them. Not only they weren't a danger, but they never had a chance with Kiba, given how long devils lived, but no doubt the entire school would know how well she got on with Kiba by lunchtime.
Thankfully they would all be eating in the old school building, so Kuro wouldn't have to listen to them whispering about her or glaring at her when she wasn't looking.
The morning lessons were boring, and the time just seemed to crawl by as Kuro slowly counted the minutes down to lunch. Kuro let out a happy sigh as the teacher dismissed them for lunch.
Kuro made her way next to Kiba, ignoring as most of the class either glared at her for being friends with Kiba or the few boys that were glaring at Kiba for no doubt being friends with her.
It wasn't arrogant for Kuro to admit that she was very good-looking and had caught most of the boys on the first day checking her out. Something she was surprised that Issei hadn't brought up with her or shouting at the boys for doing so.
Not that Kuro minded while she preferred females; for the most part, some boys could catch her eye as Shiro did even after kissing all the girls at school, including the teachers. The mischievous part of Kuro was tempted to do the same here just to see how Sona reacted to it.
"You ready to go?" Kiba asked, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Yep, let's go," Kuro said as she followed behind Kiba at a human level of speed.
Kuro wanted to just mana boost away from the school. Having everyone stare at them as they walked by was really annoying for Kuro, and she wasn't sure how Kiba, Rias and Akeno could stand it.
"Not a fan of people staring at you," Kiba asked in an amused tone.
"Not when they are all glaring at me with hate. It wouldn't be a problem if they were looking at me in envy," Kuro said as they walked outside the building.
"They are envious," Kiba said.
"Ya envy and hate that I can walk and talk with you," Kuro said.
"Ah, how ignorant you are of girls Kiba-san," Kuro said, shaking her head.
Kiba let out a gentle laugh as they walked into the old school building.
Koneko was already there, sitting on one of the couches munching on a small bar of chocolate. At the table in the back centre of the room was Rias sitting down, going over some kind of paperwork with Akeno standing to the side.
"Hello, is everyone ready for dinner?" Kuro asked.
"Yes, paperwork is a nightmare," Rias said, putting the folder she was looking through down onto the desk as Akeno let out a laugh.
"Devils have paperwork. I guess you really do live in hell," Kuro said, smirking.
"Haha, very funny," Rias said as she walked over to the couch.
"What is the paperwork about?" Kuro asked Rias.
"It depends as Sona, and I share the territory between the two of us. Some of the paperwork is about strays that are in the area or may show up in the area. Some are reports from Sona and me about the happenings in the territory, such as if fallen were to appear etc." Rias explained.
"Is there really that meant strays in the area?" Kuro asked, looking at the five different folders on the desk, with some of them having lots of paper in them.
"No, most tend to avoid this area as it is well known that it is well known to belong to devils, so strays, for the most part, avoid this area. But we have other reports, for example; I spent most of the night filling out reports about our contract and the terms,"
"What for?" Kuro asked.
"Mainly, my family signing a contract with a magician is not something that is usually done until much later in a devil's life,"
"Really, why?" Kuro asked as she took out five Bentos out of her bag as she could feel Koneko watching her intensively.
"Most magicians, by the time they wish to contract, are usually adults in their mid-twenties and don't want to contract with devils that are younger than them. No doubt, they think that the older devils will have a better information network or better access to magic books.
Or maybe they want to contract with a set family. For example, the Sitri family are often contracted with magicians that want to learn healing magic or water magic,"
"I guess that makes sense. If I wanted magic knowledge as part of my contract, I guess you and Sona wouldn't have been my first choice. I would have looked for a very old devil who had hundreds of years of experience and even better if they were part of the last war," Kuro said, seeing what Rias was saying about wanting contracts with older devils.
"Why didn't you ask for magic knowledge in the contract? My parents said that was very odd," Rias asked.
"My magic is one of a kind and has nothing in common with other magicians, so any magical knowledge you have wouldn't be applicable to me," Kuro said as she handed a Bento to everyone in the room.
"Thank you," they all said as they opened their Bentos.
"Would we be able to have another spar at some point, Kuro?" Kiba asked.
"Of course, I don't really have anyone to spar with that is capable of fighting at beyond human levels, which really makes the whole point of a spar a bit pointless, I feel," Kuro said, agreeing to a spar with Kiba.
"Excellent, I haven't had anyone to spar with; that has been a challenge," Kiba agreed.
"What about Sona peerage im sure she must have a knight; have you not spared with them?" Kuro asked.
"Nope, although we are both friends, in the end, we are also going to be rivals in rating games, so neither of us wants to let the other know our hands," Rias said.
"That seems like it would cause more harm than good, really, in order to get better, you need to practice with a real opponent. Sure Sona knight may be able to learn more about how Kiba fights, but you can use that to your advantage by having Kiba fight in a different manner as that would catch the knight off guard."
"Maybe, but I doubt Sona would ever want me to have such an advantage, and we won't be having any rating games for a while due to me being too young to be part of an official game and that I still need to; build up my peerage."
"It's based on chest, right? So you have eight pawns, two rooks, knights and bishops and one queen?" Kuro asked to make sure.
"Yep, and I have used my queen and one rook, bishop and knight piece," Rias said warmly, looking at her peerage.
"Bishop?" Kuro asked. She knew that Akeno was the queen, Koneko the rook and Kiba, the knight, but she hadn't met Rias' bishop.
"My bishop is Gasper, but he can't control his power at the moment and is also super shy. That is why he isn't here at the moment," Rias explained.
"I see that's a shame, but I don't think locking him away will help him get control over his powers," Kuro said it hadn't helped Illya to gain control over her magic and in the end, she was formed from.
"I can't stop him if his powers go out of control, so I don't really have an option other than to keep him away from everyone," Rias said as she placed her empty Bento on the table.
Kuro smiled, seeing that everyone had enjoyed the food that she cooked, not that she should be surprised since she had inherited Shiro's cooking ability.
Kuro looked over at Akeno and saw a perfect situation to tease her Kuro smiled as she walked over and collected the Bentos on the table before stopping next to Akeno.
"Ara ara, such a messy eater," Kuro said as she wiped a few grains of rice off the corner of Akeno's mouth and slowly licked them off her fingers while staring Akeno in the eyes.
"I can feed you next time if you need help," Kuro said teasingly as Akeno's face got a deeper red.
"I forgot your tea Buchou," Akeno stuttered out before quickly leaving the room.
Kuro broke out into giggles at Akeno's face and how she stuttered. Kuro had seen how she often put up the facade of an elegant woman to the students of the school, and during the fight, she showed a sadist personality, but Kuro thought she looked cute when she was flustered.
Kuro picked up the last Bento and packed them all away in her bag and saw that the other three people in the room looked shocked and confused about her interaction with Akeno.
Kuro was sure that it was due to the fact that Akeno was no doubt the person that did the teasing and wasn't on the receiving end.
Kuro just smiled mischievously as the other three people in the room looked at her. "Did everyone enjoy lunch?"
"Yes, it was delicious," Rias said, with Kiba and Koneko nodding along.
Kuro wondered if Kiba was still shocked but wasn't surprised that Koneko didn't say anything. It seemed that she was a quiet person.
"Good, so Kiba, are we having our rematch after school?"
"Hmm, we can do, but on the weekend would be better as it would give us far more time to spar against each other, and we usually have contracts to do after school," Kiba said.
"Okay, the weekend it is. It is probably for the best as I wouldn't be able to spend more than an hour or so at school without my parents wondering what I was doing," Kuro agreed.
Akeno came back into the room with a tray with a teapot and teacups and started making everyone cups of tea. Kuro could see that her face was still slightly red from before she left the room, and she was doing her best to not look at Kuro.
Kuro simply smailed and took her cup of tea, knowing there was a difference between teasing someone playfully and being cruel to them. While Kuro could be cruel when she needed to be, that was only to her enemies and Akeno nor anyone else in Rias' peerage was her enemy.
As they sipped tea, Kuro thought of a question she had but had not asked yet.
"What do your contracts include?"
"It depends on, but we don't do anything that is evil like killing people. Sometimes it is something as simple as spending time with them. Other times they want help with a problem as long as they can pay something worth the same they are asking for, then it can be anything." Rias explained.
"Hmm, glad I don't have to put up with that unless it's a cute girl that wants a kiss," Kuro said, smirking and sending Akeno a wink.
"Ara, only cute girls," Akeno asked as she blushed.
"Nope, cute boys as well," Kuro said, sending another wink to Kiba.
"So you would do a contract as long as it was a cute girl," Rias asked, smiling.
"Depends on what they want. If Koneko wants me to cook for her, I guess I will take that contract as long as she cooks with me,"
"Ah, it seemed Koneko has an admirer," Akeno said, trying to get back for Kuro teasing her.
"Hentai," Koneko whispered as she nibbled on a bar of chocolate,"
Kuro gasped at Koneko's insult before falling to the ground.
"Im not a hentai..." Kuro said sadly, seeing Koneko wasn't paying her any more attention and was just focused on her chocolate bar.
"Anyway, thanks for the tea but class is about to start soon, so we will need to head back," Kuro said, looking at Kiba.
The rest of the school day passed slowly for Kuro, with the only highlight being that she had not come across her brother in school yet, but she had heard of the girls complaining about him and his two friends.
They had been caught trying to peek into the changing room and had been caught, and the girls had beaten them in revenge. Kuro could only shake her head as her brother, and the two others had just ruined any chance of getting a girlfriend while at school.
Even if there were girls that would think about dating her brother, she was sure that the peer pressure of the other girls would stop them from actually going through with dating him as it would lead to them being outcasts.
At the end of school, Kuro quickly made her way home, not surprised that she hadn't seen Issei on the way home as he no doubt stayed behind with his two friends trying to peek at one of the clubs changing.
Arriving home, Kuro took out the Bentos from her bag and started washing them out as her mother watched her.
"Where is your brother Kuro?" Mom asked, seeing that she was alone.
"If I had to guess, peeking on some of the girls at the after school clubs," Kuro said as she started to dry the Bento's she had just cleaned.
"Im never going to get grandchildren with him," mom said, sighing.
"Why both Dad and Grandpa both managed to get married and have children, and they both wanted harems as well,"
"They didn't go screaming it from the rooftop," mom said.
"It will be fine, mom," Kuro said. She was sure that once a girl got to know her brother, they would fall for him.
As they were talking, Issei came rushing into the house before looking over at Kuro.
"You spent lunch with the two great Onee-sama's!" Issei shouted.
"Kiba was there was well," Kuro said, ignoring how Issei thought it was a big deal.
"NOOOO! you are not allowed near the pretty boy!" Issei shouted as he collapsed to the floor with in tears.
"We are in the same class," Kuro said, ignoring her brother crying on the floor and setting the table.
A moment later, Issei rushed over to her, "Can you at least introduce me to them, please!" Issie begged.
"Nope, I want them to stay, my friends," Kuro said, not wanting her brother anywhere near the devils.
While Kuro doubts they would think it's worth using any evil piece on her brother due to the tiny amount of mana that he possessed, meaning that he would have a tiny amount of demonic power.
But she didn't want to risk them turning him into a devil in the hope that he had some hidden power, so she would make sure he stayed as far away as possible from them.
While she doubted that Rias would do such a thing as it would burn any relationship that she had with her with no guarantee of Issei being a powerful devil. Kuro had no idea if Sona would do such a thing.
-Page Break-
The rest of the week went by slowly, with Kuro spending every lunch with the Occult club and avoiding her brother at school, who desperately wanted to meet both Rias and Akeno though Kuro was sure he wouldn't want to be near Akeno if he knew she was a sadist.
Thankfully the weekend arrived far quicker than Kuro thought it would do and she was once again making her way to school to meet with the Occult club, where she would have her rematch with Kiba.
Kuro wished that she could use her new class card to fight Kiba, but the sword was a holy sword, and a single injury to a low-class devil could be fatal.
While Ascalon is a dragon-slaying sword, it was still a holy sword, and she wouldn't want to accidentally hit Kiba and cause a large amount of damage to him.
Once they had gotten used to fighting together, Kuro would move on to using holy swords, as it wasn't realistic to think that Kiba would never have to fight someone wielding a holy sword.
Kuro entered the school with no problems and made her way over to the Occult building and was happy to see that Kiba was waiting outside with a sword on his hip.
She hadn't gotten around to installing the Emiya card yet, as walking from her house in nothing but shorts and a crop top with a red cape would draw everyone's attention.
"You ready to spar Kiba?" Kuro asked.
"Sure, are you going to spar dressed like that?" Kiba asked, looking at Kuro dressed in white shorts and a short-sleeved dark blue shirt.
"Of course not," Kuro said, pulling out the Emiya card as her Saber card also had a holy sword making it not something that she could use against Kiba even though the skills with the saber card would be far better for a duel than what the Emiya card gives.
"Instal," Kuro called, placing the card on Ruby, who was hanging off her belt.
In less than two seconds, Kuro was transformed into her Emiya form and walked to the back area where they had their first match.
Kuro had been looking forward to this match all week and had decided on rules that she would follow herself in order to make the fight harder for herself and to pose a challenge.
She wouldn't use any holy swords as it was Kiba's natural weakness. She also wouldn't use mana bust as it made her far stronger than Kiba.
Kuro projected her beloved Kanshou and Bakuya and took up her stance as Kiba drew his own sword. It wasn't like the sword that Kiba had used in their last match, which was covered in fire.
This sword, however, was pitch black and seemed to suck the light out of the air.
Kuro sprang forward at lightning-fast speed while bringing her swords down at Kiba, who blocked them with his own sword. As Kuros's swords hit Kiba's, Kuro let her swords go letting them shoot toward Kiba at point-blank range.
Kiba saw and quickly reacted to the two swords by jumping to the side, knowing he wouldn't be able to deflect them. Kuro didn't give Kiba a break and projected another copy of Kanshou and Bakuya and went back to attacking Kiba with as much ferocity as she could do without using mana burst or reinforcement on her body.
This was Kuro's chosen sword style as she could make 100s of copies of Kanshou and Bakuya with her mana pool, so it didn't matter if they were knocked out of her hand or if she threw them.
Sparks were flying as her and Kiba's swords clashed against each other, and small cuts were appearing all over Kiba's clothes, with some of them letting out small amounts of blood.
Kuro threw her 8th projection of Kanshou and Bakuya at Kiba, forcing him to jump back out of the way. Kuro quickly projected a blood-red spear that let off an ominous vibe and struck forward before Kiba could recover from his last dodge.
As the tip of the spear struck Kiba's sword, large cracks formed over the sword's blade, and it shattered a moment later. The spear was Gae Dearg, the Crimson Rose of Exorcism. The spear will pierce directly through any projection made of magical energy and was a passive ability and didn't need its true name to be called in order to do so.
It was also one of the safest spears that she had, as both Gáe Bolg and Gáe Buidhe were far too dangerous to use in a friendly duel.
Kiba quickly made another sword through his sacred gear that seemed to be made from ice and slashed at Kuro, who jumped out of the way and stabbed forward with her spear once again, getting the same result as the first sword.
Kuro dismissed her spear and projected a pitch-black blade with a twisted design and a long handle that could easily fit four or five of Kuro's small hands.
The blade let off a demonic and bloodthirst vibe as if it hungered for blood. Kuro immediately brought the blade down, sending Kiba skidding back as he blocked the slash with what remained of his ice sword, which shattered a second later.
"You want to continue?" Kuro asked, seeing that Kiba was covered in small cuts all over his body and was panting.
"Yes, I can continue for a little while longer," Kiba said.
"Okay, let's continue," Kuro said, smiling.
Both Kiba and Kuro charged at each other and exchanged fierce blows with each other. The two blades clashed together before Kuro's sword was being pulled towards Kiba's sword stopping her from pulling it away.
Kuro dismissed the blade and pulled a copy of Kanshou and Bakuya towards her from the ground forcing Kiba to jump out of the way as they came soring into Kuro's hands.
Kuro quickly threw them at Kiba a moment later, who tried to avoid them, but they chased after him due to his sword pulling them towards him. Kiba threw his sword away before creating a new sword.
Kiba's new sword was a gigantic two-handed sword that was more than two meters long and released an ominous aura. The blade looked heavy, and Kuro was sure that Kiba was exchanging speed for power.
Kuro was left unsure what sword to project now as almost all the swords in UBW were Noble Phantasms and incredibly powerful.
Kuro projected a dark blue sword that was almost black; it was Arondight: The Unfading Light of the Lake, but the version Kuro projected was the corupted from of the blade used by Lancelot as a Berserker class.
It had lost its status as a holy sword and turned dark blue as it became a demonic sword full of madness and resentment. Kuro wouldn't use its true name as it would undoubtedly kill Kiba.
In terms of power, Arondight was many times stronger than Kanshou and Bakuya, even without its true name being called. Kuro and Kiba looked at each other with smiles before Kuro launched herself at Kiba.
Kuro saw Kiba pouring his demonic energy into his blade and bringing it down in a lightning-quick slash far quicker than Kuro thought he would be able to swing the sword. Kuro didn't hesitate to swing her sword while putting a small amount of mana into the blade as it started leaking out a dark mist.
The moment the two blades clashed against each other, both Kiba and Kuro were surrounded by dust as the two swords released their power. Kuro was sent flying back, skidding on her feet with her sword still intact as Kiba went flying out and crashed into the wall and slumped down.
"Kiba!" Rias shouted as she and Akeno ran over to him.
Kuro stood up, dusted herself off, and dismissed all of the swords she had projected before walking over to Kiba, who was slowly coming back around.
"Urgh, I guess you win again, Kuro," Kiba said as he got up under the careful watch of Rias and Akeno.
"Nevertheless, it was a fun spar. I can't wait for the next one," Kuro said, happily smiling. It had been a very long time since she had been able to have a good spar with anyone without massively holding back.
She may have held back some against Kiba by not using mana bursts or holy swords or reinforcement, but it wasn't like she was limiting herself to human levels of strength or speed.
She was far faster and stronger than normal humans without them. In truth, Kuro had started to feel like she had been using them as a crutch whenever she got into a fight; she would just try and end it as fast as possible.
Kuro wasn't blind to the danger that could lead if she was to fight someone that was stronger and faster than her. While she was sure that most high-class devils weren't faster than her, there was no doubt some that focused on speed and could be faster than her.
But without someone like Kiba, it wasn't really possible for her to push herself and really need to try. Though, in future duels, she would limit herself to just Kanshou and Bakuya as they were her goto swords.
"Your last sword was crazy. It shattered mine with ease," Kiba asked.
"It's the corupted form of Arondight, the blade of Lancelot that has become a demonic sword," Kuro explained.
"Holy swords can become demonic swords?" Kiba and Rias asked at the same time in shock.
"Sometimes, a good example would be Balmung which can be a holy sword or demonic sword depending on who is wielding it," Kuro said.
"Ara, well, how about we all get a cup of tea," Akeno suggested.
"I could do with a drink. How about you, Kiba?"
"Yes, a drink would be good."
-Page Break-
"Do we have a kitchen where we could all cook together?" Kuro asked as they walked inside the old school building.
"No, we don't have a kitchen per se. We have a single hob and a kettle and microwave, but there isn't any food in as we all bring it from home," Rias said from behind her.
Kuro suddenly stopped causing Rias to walk into her. Kuro felt a flash of envy, feeling how large Rias' chest was compared to her own when she was only a year older than her.
"What do you mean you don't have a kitchen," Kuro asked.
"Well, we have never needed one other than just to heat up food."
"But where will I cook for everyone without a kitchen?" Kuro asked back.
"Fine, I will get you a kitchen as long as you cook lunch for us two times a week," Rias offered.
"Done," Kuro said without any hesitation.
She loved to cook as it was one of the last things she had to remember Shiro, by but part of her wished her mom would let her cook more often, but when she was younger, her mom said she was too young to cook, and now she said she was to busy with school and homework.
"Now, Kiba, let's talk about our duel," Kuro said looking at Kiba.
"Okay, I think it went well," Kiba said.
"Do you? I didn't use any spells to boost my movement or body in the fight, and you still didn't manage to land a single hit on me," Kuro said as she took a seat on the couch.
"Well, err, I wasn't able to land a hit on you," Kiba said awkwardly.
"Well, let's start off with your biggest mistake and work out way from there. Do you know what your biggest mistake was in the entire fight?" Kuro asked.
"The last part of the fight," Kiba said.
"Correct, in a real fight, that move at the end would have cost you your life. You know im faster and stronger than you, yet you picked a sword that slowed you down," Kuro summarised.
"It was just a friendly duel. It's not a big deal," Rias said, trying to make Kiba feel better.
"Yes, it is. If he gets in the habit of doing things like that, then he could die and cause his friends to die," Kuro said, cutting what Rias was saying off.
"I just thought it would be a good way to end the duel," Kiba said, looking uncomfortable.
"A good way to end the duel would be with your opponent dead you didn't take the duel serious enough," Kuro explained.
"I'm sorry, I will take it more seriously next time," Kiba said.
"I hope so. As a knight, you are most likely the person to be fighting first and protecting your friends. Both Akeno and Rias seem to be mage types, leaving you and Koneko to deal with physical fights.
Until Rias has other pieces that can support you and Koneko, you both need to be above and beyond all other knights and rooks," Kuro said, not holding anything back.
"We are not going to be in any rating games for another year in order to be in a game. The king needs to be of age, and im not 18 for another year," Rias explained.
"Maybe not, but there are still strays and other factions and the fallen to be wary of," Kuro said, shaking her head in her mind at how laid back Rias was being.
Kuro was sure that being the younger sister of one of the strongest devils and possibly strongest people in the world had made Rias think that no one would think of hurting her.
"Moving on from that, Kiba, how does your sacred gear work as I have only seen you use a few different types of swords," Kuro asked, curious how it worked.
"It's called Sword Birth. It has the ability to create Demon Swords of different attributes according to the will of the user," Kiba explained.
"Wait, you're saying that it can make a demonic sword with any ability?" Kuro asked.
"Ya, I made swords that can eat holy light, devour flames, and have demonic flames," Kiba said, listing off some of his swords.
"How far have you pushed it? Have you tried making a sword covered in poison that causes pain, or one that can shoot blades of wind, or maybe one that increases the weight of an object it hits?" Kuro asked, listing off a few ideas that popped into her mind.
"Err, no..." Kiba said, embarrassed that Kuro had thought of three new useful swords in a matter of moments.
"But the poison sword wouldn't be honourable to use," Kiba said a moment later.
"There is a time and place to be honourable, and the poison could just make them feel sleepy or sluggish. They were just examples; my point is your sacred gear is only limited by your imagination," Kuro said.
"The last two are really good ideas, though," Kiba said, thinking about it.
"So what is everyone else up to for the rest of the day?" Kuro asked, leaving Kiba to think up new swords that he could use.
After all, Kuro was able to copy any swords that he made with unlimited blade works, so it helped her. Even if the swords were not comparable to even the weakest Noble Phantasms, it didn't hurt to have more of them.
"Most of us have contracts starting soon. Most people only summon devils at dusk or nighttime," Kiba said
"Well, devils are creatures of the night in human myths, so I guess it makes sense that they would think that you need to be summoned at night or dusk," Kuro said, taking the cup of tea from Akeno with a big smile on her face.
Kuro was determined to get Akeno to dress up as a maid. Kuro licked her lips at how sexy Akeno would look as a maid. Kuro's eyes flicked over to Kiba, and she wondered how handsome he would look dressed as a butler.
"Well, then im going to be heading home since everyone else is going to be off making their contracts," Kuro said as she finished her tea.
-Page Break-
A card floated up in the air in a dark alleyway and leaked out a dark mist after absorbing enough magic from the ambient area. A second later, the dark mist poured out of the card and condensed into the shape of a person covered in a robe hiding their figure.
A moment later, after the person had got their bearing, they collapsed to the floor as she let out a tired and raspy breath.
"I need mana," they rasped out, slowly getting to their feet before stumbling out of the alleyway.
