That Man
As soon as he'd heard that his brother was after his teammate, Sasuke rushed to where he'd heard Naruto was heading.
Not to try and kill Itachi, no matter what people might believe, but because his brother had proven how dangerous he was when allowed to attack without warning.
He failed to reach Naruto in time.
By the time he reached Narutos hotel room, his brother was already there.
"Naruto," he called out, "run!"
He could only hope to be able to hold his brother off long enough for his teammate to escape.
After all, it wasn't as though his brother would kill him now, if he'd spared him before.
Itachi slowly turned to face him.
"Do you believe you are strong enough to kill me, brother?"
"No," Sasuke admitted, "but that was never my goal. As I told my team, my target is That Man."
Itachis eyes widened only slightly. "You know of That Man?"
"Indeed. When I encounter That Man I will be sure to end him."
The particularly unusual looking ninja standing next to Itachi made his lack of understanding clear. "What are you talking about? What man? That man over there?"
Itachi failed to notice his associates pointing finger. "That Man Over There is one of That Mans associates. You had best prepare to face all six of them."
"You're talking about this man over here?"
Clearly the shark ninja was failing to understand what Itachi was saying.
"This Man Over Here is the name of a second of That Mans associates."
"And who are the other three I will need to kill?"
"They are known as This Man, That Man Over Here and This Man Over There."
At this point the other man was going mad from his confusion.
"Just who are these 'That Man's and 'This Man's? What do they have to do with anything?"
"As you stand now," Itachi continued, completely ignoring his ally, "you have no hope of being able to kill even just That Man alone."
"I am aware. If I was, you wouldn't have lost, and been used to kill the clan."
"You are aware of much that I had hoped you would not know, brother. Come Kisame, it is time to leave."
"And what of the Kyubi brat?"
"He left while we were talking."
Sasuke watched them leave, well aware of his limits. He would need to train much harder before he could kill That Man.
AN: I have never seen any signs of a Naruto Excel Saga, and feel that needs to change. If anyone wants to take this concept and write a full story off it, you have my permission. Just please tell me so I can find the story easily.
