Now another hurdle is being jumped. A human is being seriously considered as a possible spectre, but this human will be more important than anyone realizes.

Millions of years ago, an ancient being crashed into the earth and caused a mass extinction event that took out the dinosaurs. Fast forward to present day and Anastasia is living on the citadel. Except she's a witch, hiding her existence from society. Until she saves a turian. And then her existence, and those just like her, is brought into the spotlight, for better or for worse.

After the Collectors attack the SR-2, and Joker is forced to unshackle EDI, Shepard forces him to have a much needed heart to heart about, well, damn near everything that has happened. More than she was expecting ends up coming out into the open.

I think we can all agree waking up as a guy in a woman's body would be jarring to say the least. Waking up as an asari? Horrifying. But waking up as what I had the incredible misfortune to be... The Citadel Council - an organization tasked with maintaining the peace, stability and prosperity of the known galaxy. It is a task they had mostly excelled at since the Krogan Rebellions. The Councilors have the weight of the galaxy upon their shoulders and have to constantly balance the needs and interests of their governments and people... Competent Council AU.

AU. It was just supposed to be a routine patrol, open a Mass Relay survey the system and report anything useful. Instead of finding a garden world or a deposit of Element Zero or Metals instead, they found a ship that no one recognises and a huge headache and technology which will change the Systems Alliance and humanity forever.

Though their overall mission against the Collectors is going well, Tali cannot help but to be worried about various suicidally reckless acts Shepard has committed since his resurrection. She decides to broach the subject with him, revealing that there is more beneath the mask of the pristine hero he always wore than she had ever understood.

HMS Isaac Newton and HMS Alexander Fleming open the Shanxi Relay. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. The following course of events would lead to Humanity's first hot war in over a century, a war which could have exploded into full on Interspecies Total War, assuming of course the various human nations could even agree on anything.
