When Arthur is left incapacitated after an encounter with magic, it is up to Merlin and Gwen to save him from despair and to find some way to restore him to a state where he can become the king he is destined to be. Set towards the end of S3.

Merlin has to reveal his magic in order to save Arhur and Uther arrests him. This is the story of the trial and Arthur's plan to save Merlin. Neither of which go as expected. No charcter deaths (apart from unnamed knights at the beginning). Meant to be funny (you be the judge), also shows how much Merlin is loved in Camalot. Some spoilers, nothing big.

Merlin hits his head, and temporarily loses his memory. Bits and pieces come back to him, and he soon remembers all the knights...except Arthur. Obviously, Arthur isn't too happy about this. And as his memories come back to him, Merlin lets a few things slip... Bromance oneshot, no slash. K because someone gets stabbed and I didn't know what rating to give it!

In which Merlin is sick (and also a BAMF), Arthur is cranky, Gaius is frazzled, and there may or may not be evil sorcerers running around the citadel.

Arthur doesn't die, but instead gets a chance to build a truly egalitarian Camelot where magic is free and Merlin is properly rewarded for his unending faithfulness. It'll be a long road there, but Arthur is much wiser now, and perhaps he can even save a few people who fate abandoned, along the way.
