What happened in that month between the defeat of Sovereign and Shepard's death? Well this is an attempt to answer this question. Mainly focused on an M!Shep/Ash pairing.

The Reapers have begun their siege of the major homeworlds. Defending fleets have retreated, and the military forces of the major races are slowly being worn down. Adm Hackett launches a bold counter attack against the invaders. Work in progress.
