Fazbear entertainment was no stranger to customer complaints. Especially about Sun and Moon. Most of them were about how creepy they were and how they looked. So, they decided that the best way to make them less weird was to give them new faces. More specifically, faces that can move and show emotions, rather than just being static. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the upgrade, the daycare was closed for two weeks before the upgrade was complete. As for how Sun and Moon liked the upgrade, well, they actually liked it a lot. Especially Sun. But, the new face came with a new body. So their systems were transferred to what was called a prototype body. But the technicians kept saying it was temporary. Sun and Moon thought nothing of it but did take note of the grins on the technician's faces.
On the day Sun and Moon were to be put back into the Daycare, Chloe Rose, an old friend, and employee of the Pizza-Plex, was assigned to the late shift and night shift due to other employees quitting. By the time she got there, the daycare had already closed. It usually closed earlier than the rest of the building. So she spent time in the daycare before the night shift since she really wasn't needed for a late shift at all. She had been told Sun and Moon had been out for upgrades but didn't know what the upgrades were. Well, she was just going to have to find out.
"Weeee!" Chloe landed in the ball pit at the bottom of the slide and stood up. "Sun! Sunny! Your best friend is here!" She looked up to see Sun standing on his balcony before jumping into the ball pit.
"Hoo Hoo Hoo!" He popped out and picked up Chloe. She immediately noticed his facial expressions and that he had them at all. "Chloe! It's so good to see you! You look great! Are we gonna have fun?" He said in his usual happy hyper way.
"Yes! We are, but look at you! Look at your face!"
Sunset her down next to a stack of those weird foam container things. "Ooooh, I was hoping you'd like it! It makes me look a-thousand percent better! I love expressing myself through it!" He clapped his hands.
"I can't believe it's you! This is so strange! I can't wait to tell everyone! Ooh, better yet, I'm on the night shift later. How about we show them?" She grinned giddily.
Sun also grinned giddily and jumped up and down. "I love that idea! Now come on! Let's go draw!" He pulls her by the hand and takes her to the drawing area. They spent the next few hours trying to each other's facial expressions. It was funny seeing how each drawing came out. Even though both of them have improved their skills, some of the pictures came out looking hilarious. Sun, of course, would cherish them for all eternity. Once the voice on the speakers said that the Pizza-Plex was closed, the madness could begin.
"Come on! Let's go!" Chloe pulled him by the hand and raced out of the daycare before Sun stopped her.
"How about a piggyback ride?" Sun folded his hands together and grinned.
"Sunny, I'm too old- WHOA! HEY!" Sun ignored her and put her on his back. She wrapped her arms around his neck. It's no surprise he would do this. He's exceptionally tall, after all.
"Hold on tight!" Sun began running and held her on his back.
"Sunny! You're such a rascal!" She laughed the whole way to Rockstar Row. Where the main 4 heard the commotion. Freddy exited his green room.
"Chloe? Sun? What are you doing?" Freddy asked with a smile on his face.
"I got a new face!" Sun grinned widely and looked at Chloe. "And I'm giving Chloe a piggyback ride!"
"Can I get down now?" Chloe asked.
"Nope!" Sun shook his head. "Only if someone catches me!" Sun ran off with Chloe still on his back.
"Oh no! Freddy! Help me!" Chloe laughed and reached an arm out to him.
"I'm coming, Superstar!" Freddy ran after them while also sending messages through the main network. Not 10 seconds later, Chloe could hear Roxy in the distance.
"I'll save ya, Champ! Hang on!" Roxy was fast and chased them into the utility tunnels. Monty suddenly busted a gate open.
"Found ya!" He ran towards them, but Sun was quick and ran before the gate had swung open completely.
"Help me, Monty!" Chloe cried amidst her laughter.
"We're comin', Rockstar!" Finally, Sun was blocked by Chica and then was trapped into a corner by the gang.
"Oh, please, save me from this piggyback ride!" Chloe feigned a damsel in distress, but very poorly as she kept laughing. As did Sun.
"Hand her over!" Roxy looked like she would pounce, but she knew this was all in good fun, so she wouldn't.
"Oh no! You've caught me! My piggyback ride must end!" Sun, the master actor, pretended to look and sound sad while finally letting Chloe down. She ran to Roxy, who held her bridal style to fit the act.
"Oh! My heroes!" Chloe's laughter finally started to fizzle as the game ended, and Roxy set her down.
"Well done, superstars! Sun! You have a new look to your face." Freddy leaned forward for a closer look.
"He's making facial expressions! He looks so cute!" Chica ran up and started inspecting his face before hugging him. Sun gladly returned the hug.
"He's not as creepy as before!" Monty comments. Chloe gave him a look. "What? We all knew it!" Monty gestured to Sun.
"Well, anyway, how 'bout another game?" Roxy suggested, but Chloe shook her head.
"Sorry guys, but I really have to clock in and make my rounds." Chloe sheepishly said.
"No problem, superstar. We will leave you to your work." Freddy nodded.
"See ya, Champ!" Roxy waved as the main group left.
"Come on, Sun, let's get you back to the daycare." Chloe led Sun back to the daycare.
"I'll see you later. Keep the light on for me!" Chloe waved and walked off to do her rounds.
"Of course, sunshine!" Sun waved and began to entertain himself for a while. Finally, around 4am, Chloe snuck into the daycare with a devious grin on her face.
"Sunny! I'm back!" She took 2 steps before getting hugged.
"You're back! I waited so long! Ready to play?" Sun grinned ear to ear.
"Sorry, Sunny, but I'm actually not here to.." She pretended to trip and threw her hat a faraway foam stack. "Oops!"
"Oh no! No! What a mess! Clean up! Clean up!" Sun's face contorted into worry as he ran over to set up the foam stacks.
"Sorry, Sunny!" Chloe hit the light switch and then ran into the nap area to wait for Moon. Admittedly, she did a rather dirty trick, but she had actually pulled it once before. Then again, she was also 5 when that happened. She waited for Moon for about 5 minutes before starting to fall asleep. She then felt a gentle hand cup her cheek, and she looked up.
"Moon!.." She exclaimed as she hugged him.
"Hello, shooting star. It's so nice to see you." He hugged her back and then picked her up. "You seem tired. Do you wish to nap?" He smiled so gently.
"Moon, I'm fine. I'm just not used to the night hours, that's all."
"No excuses, young lady. I know you played earlier. I can see everything Sun sees." Moon frowns.
"Young lady? Moon, I'm 21."
"No talking back. Now come on, it's nap time." He laid in his special hammock in the nap area and started rocking it back and forth.
"But Moon-" He placed a finger on her lips and then stroked her head and her back.
"Shhhh... it's past your bedtime." He started to sing a lullaby, and she was out like a light. He made sure she slept soundly until 6am. She felt something poking her head.
"Wake up, Sunshine! It's time for you to go home!" She awoke to Sun putting her hat on her head.
"Yeah Yeah, I'll see you tonight, Sunny. Bye, you two!" Chloe took off and left the daycare, wanting to go home and faceplant into her bed.
"Bye, Sunshine!" Sun waved as he watched her leave. But this new day wasn't a typical day. It was maintenance day, and the Pizza-Plex was closed. When taken to parts and service, it was explained to the daycare duo how they were going to go through another system transfer. They were put in a prototype because there wasn't enough time to do the official upgrade before the daycare opened, so their prototype of the upgrade was used. Their complete upgrade had more than a movable face. And since it was maintenance day, they had time to complete the upgrade. The duo let technicians do their job, but we're in for a big surprise.
Hours later, Chloe arrived for the night shift. First, she checked on the Glamrocks, who were in the middle of band practice. She waved and continued on, leaving them to their music. After making her rounds, she visited the daycare.
"Sunny! Your sunshine is here!" Sun was already on the ground and ran up to her with arms wide open. She ran into them and was engulfed in his hug.
"Ohmygosh, Chloe! I have something I gotta show you! Moon and I have been waiting all day!" Sun bounced up and down.
"Both you and Moon? Wow, this must really be important." Chloe giggled.
"Cover your eyes! No peeking!" Sun wagged his finger as Chloe covered her eyes. After 30 seconds, he said, "Okay! You can look now!" Chloe only saw Sun's face very close to hers, then he backed up and revealed Moon...standing next to him!?
"What!?" Chloe's jaw dropped.
"They completed our full upgrades. We will now work in tandem with each other. It will work well for both the children and us." Moon explained as he smiled.
"So? What do you the-" Sun was interrupted by Chloe launching herself at them and wrapping her arms around them.
"I love it, I love it, I love it! This is the best day ever!" Chloe hugged them tightly as they returned the hug. "Come on! We gotta show everyone!" She grabbed both of them and dragged them to the main stage. "Guys! Look!" The glamrocks turned to see the separate daycare attendants. Their jaws dropped as they approached them.
"First new faces, now new bodies? This is awesome!" Chica hugged them both.
"You two look excellent!" Freddy gave a thumbs up.
"Not bad," Roxy said, but Chloe knew she was just acting tough.
"This is weird. I like it."
Monty also gave a thumbs up. He then turned to Chloe. "Hey, uh, not to dampen the mood, but it's almost 6am."
"In that case, see ya later, Champ! And don't forget to get some sleep!" Then, Roxy left, as did the others.
"Bye, guys! Come on, you two, let's get you back to the daycare." Chloe escorted the duo to the daycare. "Oh, wait! Before I go, how about a picture?"
"I would love that!" Sun clapped his hands.
"If you insist." Moon smiled.
"Oh, uh, you two are kinda tall, I can't really rea- Whoa!" She felt Sun and Moon lift her onto their shoulders. Sitting her in between their heads.
"Oooh, perfect! Smile!" She took the selfie as Sun did a happy, silly pose. While Moon did a calm wave. "It came out great! Oooh, I love you guys!" She hugged them as soon as they set her down.
"We love you, too!" They said in unison. Suddenly, they felt a kiss on their cheeks.
"I'll see you guys later! Bye!" She left and headed straight for home. Sun and Moon were shocked, but their shock turned to smiles. They remembered her doing that when she was little. It was so cute, but they didn't expect her to do it again now that she was all grown up. The two looked at each other and smiled before heading into the daycare. Where they would reminisce about the past all day long. Including their memories of Chloe, which they cherished most.
