She was not prepared at all when she saw them standing on the other end of the hall. She did her best not looking at them in the parking lot and hurried inside the building. They caught up with her after English class, when she was trying to run to library without being seen by Lauren or her minions. Alice, Jasper and he was appeared out of thin air, she somehow forgot how fast they moved. She turned back and was about to walk to the other direction when Alice and he was just next to her. She looked down; she wasn't strong enough to look up today.

"Bella" he whispered. "I don't understand, why are you running?" She startled at his question. He wanted to talk to her? What was there left to say? Her brows furrowed.

"What do you mean?" She whispered, too. Knowing he can hear her anyway.

"Don't you remember what I sa-"

"I remember everything you said." She interrupted. Her heart ached even more when he was standing so close to her. She could smell him, her arms wanted to reach out, her eyes itched to meet his. It was taking enormous effort to keep her body in check. "I won't force you or your family to pretend. I'll stay away."

"Bella?!" She could hear the surprise in Alice's voice. It was the first time in six months since she heard the twinkling sound. She felt like smiling for a moment, she missed Alice. "This is not what he meant at all!"

"Is this about your secrets?" She interrupted again. "I kept quiet for months and I will until the end of my life. Don't worry." She tried to walk again but faced with his dark blue t-shirt and broad chest. He reached out, tried to touch her hand. She snatched it quickly, wrapping both arms to her fragile body. She already felt like falling apart. "Please." She pleaded.

Her mind wanted to continue differently. Please take me back. Please love me. Please let me stay. Please let me look at you. But she was already pathetic. A pet begging to be taken back might've been the only low she didn't fall yet. "Please don't play with me again."
