Note: This is REALLY old writing...like...when I was in middle school. So this has to be..eight years old...at-least. Hope you all enjoy it all the same. XD
Crossover: Gundam Seed/Inuyasha
"Come of Athrun. I'll race to your house. The last one there has to do anything the other wants." giggled a little girl by the age of ten as she took off for the house as she finished talking.
"We'll see about that. You better be ready to lose," yelled Athrun as he ran after the girl, a small smile on his face as he did so. He didn't mind that she won…as long as whatever she made him do wasn't embarrassing that is.
"I Won! I Won! I Won!" Taunted the little girl, dancing around as she laughed happily. The boy her a sigh.
"You were lucky and that's all Kagome," Athrun growled, annoyed that he lost. He didn't want to do something embarrassing...like she made him do last time he lost. He had to dance around singing in a dress last time he lost at a race, "so what do I have to do?" he asked.
"Make..me..a promise," Kagome whispered turning her back to him and looking to the sky which was turning colors because of the lateness of the day.
"A ... Promise?" Athrun repeated confused, a frown on his face.
"Yes ... Promise me that you'll protect me and always be my friend no matter what," Kagome muttered quietly to him as she turned to face him.
"I Promise," Athrun promised, holding out his pinky.
"Good," Kagome said linking her pinky with his. After that was done they both broke into laughter.
"So what's so funny out here?" came a voice behind them. "Eeek" Kagome yelped from the
sudden presence.
"Father?"Athrun questioned blinking.
"I just came out to see if little Kagome was staying for dinner." Patrick Zala told them with a chuckle.
"Sure!" Kagome told him happily.
"You two go wash up, I'll go set another place at the table," Patrick told them. Kagome and Athrun went to wash up.
"Athrun how is your dad doing?" she asked, as she stood on her tip-toes to wash her hands.
"He's fine but still sad. It has almost been a year since the bloody Valentine." Athrun said getting a little sad just talking about it.
"The anniversary when your mother died. You going to go visit her," she asked as they headed back downstairs to the dining room.
"Yes, I am." He whispered as he sat down, next to Kagome.
"So Kagome this is the last we'll be seeing you for a while isn't it," Patrick asked the little girl as
he ruffled her hair and sat down across from her and Athrun.
"Yes, but I'll be back someday and when I am I'll come straight here to see both of you then," she told them happily and before they knew it, it was time for her to go home.
Kagome gave them both a hug."I'll miss you and I'll see both of you soon." Kagome said before running off, but not before she glanced back.
"She's going to be missed here in the PLANTS. Her singing was something they looked forward to. She and Lacus. Those two were always interpretable." Patrick chuckled as he went back into the house.
Athrun followed him in but not without a soft whisper of We'll meet again soon. I Promise!
