That's the name of the sometimes enemy. The cat spirit and the girl spirit that resided in the Saotome Ranma's soul and mindscape have merged and taken over his mind and body. From the anger and stress that keep piling up upon him.
And on the day of the failed wedding between him and Akane, his patience...just snapped. The straw that broke the camel's back that caused the spirits to take over is when Happosai drink all the Nannīchuan water. Then, the transformation began.
First, his black hair turned to white, more silver than white actually. None of the attendees of the wedding realize that at first. He then turned to his cursed form, without being doused with cold water, with one difference. One thing different with her form is she now has a pair of cat ears on her head and now at all four. Oh, and she has her tail swaying quite rigidly.
Yet, none of them realized this. Only Happosai noticed, as her entire aura of primal fear was directed at him. But only that. Neko-Ranma doesn't hurt him more than that, as she is grateful for ruining her cure for the curse. Not that it will truly cure her though. As for the curses will be mixed. Like that of Pantyhose Taro. And for that, she is thankful to Happosai.
