Hi. I'm Sara. You probably haven't heard of me, but I guarantee you've heard of my work before, at least if you've been around the Portland cape fandom! This, well... it's my autobiography, in a way. I used to write cape fanfiction, but it's a bit narcissistic now. Plus I don't really have time.

My name is Sonya Van Killshall Slash and I am a eighteen year old girl that goes to Winslow high school. The worst high school in Brockton Bay. There's all sorts of bad people here, a dragon, a drug-lord, and parents enabling their children to fight said crimes. But I gotta pull up my black stockings first before I begin to combat these malign characters, cause, totally, girl!

We view a world far different then the world we know from worm, with a monster on the loose that is far to powerful then they should be, this world has changed, in many, many ways. (WARNING: This book involves a few dark themes and contains characters who have lost most of their hope, so this story is extremely depressing, don't read if you don't want to read depressing stories)

Wherein Taylor is somewhat more confident and perceptive, and Danny forced his family to watch old movies together.

Taylor's mother is behind bars. Regal, domineering and a mass murdering psychopath with Dubai, London and Brockton struck off her hit list. Shatterbird always left her mark wherever she went. Taylors survived the fallout of her capture, but a year and a half later now she's stuck with the grim reality of having a mother that could slaughter thousands with a simple lullaby.

Taylor Hebert wants more than anything to save Brockton Bay from the many forces that imperil it, but some evils are harder to fight than others. Endbringers storming the beaches, gangsters interfering in politics, and strikebreakers suppressing the unions are trouble enough, but how can one girl stand against the impersonal and diffuse economic factors impoverishing her city?

Like it had done countless times before, the moment came where the Queen Administrator prepared to create the connection that would bond it to its host. But in that moment, unlike the countless times before, something changed. With a union formed and a new purpose in mind, a young girl was set to become something more then she could ever have imagined.
