Mirabel and Dolores entered the bakery earning an instant groan from the woman inside. It had become their morning ritual to get breakfast from the bakery not because they needed the food, Julieta ensured they had plenty and in the case they did run out they could always go to her for more. No they did it just because they could, for the thrill that they had the power to do so. They got a kick out of it.

"We'll be taking our usual." Dolores said with a smirk "And we are feeling like a treat today so we will be taking that as well."

"No." Señora Díaz snapped back.

"Excuse me?" Dolores took a step closer "Did you just say no to me?"

"I'm done with you two. Do you have any idea how much you pair are costing me? Everyday you come and steal off of me."

"Oh we have a pretty good idea. We just don't care." Mirabel snickered.

"Get out, neither of you are getting a thing." Señora Díaz growled as she pointed towards the door.

A wide grin spread across Mirabel's face she had been waiting for something like this "My my my, looks like our friend here is getting bold Dolores."

"Indeed, Mirabel. Bold indeed. You know what I said. I know about your affair. We had an arrangement you let us come whenever we want and take whatever we want and you look the other way and I won't tell your little secret." Dolores stepped right up to the woman and pointed a finger so it was touching her chest "Or you don't let us do that and I tell everyone about your affair."

"They wouldn't believe you two. Everyone around here knows you're both trouble."

"Oh, I could just get my mother to confirm it for everyone. Everyone knows no lie gets pass Pepa Madrigal. So if you even try to deny it well the truth will soon be revealed." a small cruel smile spread across Dolores's lips as the woman's eyes widened "So I"ll ask you. What will it be? Are you going to let my hermanita and I here take a couple baked goods or are you going to have your life ruined? I shall think the choice is obvious."

Gulping Señora Díaz turned her head sideways to glance at Mirabel who was leaning on the counter enjoying the show a matching smile on her face "You two...you two pair of..."

"We don't have all day." Dolores interrupted.

"Come on, the clock is ticking." Mirabel snickered "You are aware we will just take what we want anyway right? So why not make it easier on yourself?"

I can't stand these two can someone just deal with them please. Señora Díaz sighed "You two are the devil's children I swear."

"Yeah yeah we know." Dolores rolled her eyes "Now I'm not going to ask you again. What will it be?"

"Take what you want and get the hell out of here. Hope you both choke."

Mirabel tutted as she shook her head "I would watch what you say."

Señora Díaz watched as Dolores and Mirabel shared a victorious high five and started filling their basket whispering to each other and laughing when they looked back over her way. She was really starting to understand why Alma got rid of these two. If they were her daughters she would be so ashamed.

"Goodbye." Dolores gave a small wave as they headed towards the door "See you same time tomorrow."

"Excellent work as always Dolores." Mirabel laughed once they were clear of any crowds "You had her so scared she was trembling."

"Oh believe me I do enjoy it. They should be grateful we could do so much worse to the like burning that building-"

"I should of known."

The pair stopped and turned around to see Alma standing behind them anger spreading across her face.

"I should of known you two would of had something to do with it! I hope you two will find a jail cell nice and comfy."

Dolores didn't panic she just smiled "Oh but you have no evidence to prove we did anything do you? And do you really think my mother will go against us? Go ahead try and convict us you'll get nowhere."

Alma jumped back when Mirabel was suddenly right in her face.

"Besides..." that twisted smile was on Mirbael's face "You wouldn't want to upset your own daughters by throwing THEIR daughters in jail would you? Haven't you screwed up enough?" Mirabel reached out and grabbed Alma's chin "Now listen here you old bat. You ain't going to say a damn thing to anyone. So just keep your mouth shut...or else."

"Are you threatening me?"

"Why yes I am, aren't you just so clever for figuring that out. You know I have no issues hurting you, Alma. Why I could kill you right here and feel no regret just because it's you. But lucky for you I need you alive...leaving you all alone with nothing left will be much more satisfying but that does not mean I won't hurt you." Mirabel squeezed tighter "Now I want you to promise us you're going to walk away and act like nothing happened."

"Never."

Dolores shook her head "Are you sure? How about I tell Tía Julieta how you would physically abuse Mira back during those five years you kept her prisoner in Casita? You really think I didn't hear any of that? You never laid a hand on the rest of us yet you would hit her for the crime of just wanting to talk to you." Dolores gestured a hand towards Mirabel "Or I could always just let her strangle you again. Tell me Alma. Is all this really worth it?"

Alma pried Mirabel's hand off her and backed away a few steps never before had Dolores called her by her first name."T-t-that won't be necessary."

"So are you going to keep OUR little secret?" Mirabel asked "Otherwise I'll bring out the tears and Dolores will spill just what exactly went on when the others weren't home."

Alma wanted nothing more than to just lock this pair up and teach them a lesson but she knew if she said anything she'll lose Julieta and Pepa for good besides..they had a point she had no evidence she knew they did it though, Dolores admitted it. "Fine...I'll keep your dirty little secret. But do remember the pair of you are nothing more than petty criminals taking it out on innocents."

Mirabal and Dolores looked at before bursting out in laughter.

"Innocents?" Mirabel asked "Is that a joke? Have you any idea of what this damn town does to us? Believe me they are far from innocent."

"Whatever you two get you deserve."

"Excuse me?" Dolores asked raising an eyebrow "Are you saying we deserve to have our lives threatened? Are you hoping they will kill us?"

Alma's face paled "That's not what I meant. I do not support murder."

"But you said we deserve what we get. And that's what we get-death threats." Mirabel pointed out.

"You know what? Nevermind. Let's go Mirabel, we still need to eat our breakfast." Dolores put an arm around Mirabel's shoulders "Just make sure you keep your mouth shut Alma. You'll hate to say something you'll regret."

Mirabel glanced back over her shoulder as Dolores guided her away "You really think she would of done anything?"

"No evidence she knows she wouldn't of gotten anywhere with it even with our...reputation she needs evidence. Though we are going to have to be careful..no more talking about stuff like that outside the barn. You never know who would be listening in. Course if we catch someone we can see they keep their mouth shut but...there's a chance we won't catch them."

"At least this time it was just Alma..." Mirabel sighed.

"What's wrong?"

"You knew...you knew all along what she did to me." Mirabel kicked at a stone "I mean I should of known with your gift and all but..."

"I was too scared to ever say anything and she always made you eat so there was no injuries...I'm sorry that regret is still on my mind. I was just afraid if she knew I knew..she'll...do it to me as well...it was selfish of me...but I was afraid."

"I doubt Alma would of laid a hand on you back then..it was just me she hated...but I know what it's like...being afraid. I do wonder why I wasted five years of my life trying to please her. Naivety I guess. But I'm okay now..considering. I mean sure you and I are homeless, and sure this town wants to kill us...but overall we're doing okay. In a way we have this whole town under our control with everything you know...we hold something over everyone here." Mirabel chuckled "And I love it."

Dolores chuckled alongside her "Like that business in the bakery? Oh she changed her tune real quick when she realised we were not playing around."

"Exactly like that business in the bakery."

Dolores just chuckled to herself again. She never knew she could be so...powerful. She never thought she could make others tremble in her presence it went against everything she was raised to believe but...she liked it. No she loved it. She loved the feeling of power. The thought scared her yet she wanted more of it...she wanted power...she wanted control. They all deserved it didn't they? Besides were they really hurting anyone? They just took food. Oh true they burnt down that building but that was merely a warning...wasn't it? You enjoyed doing that. Dolores startled herself with her own thoughts. Is this what losing your mind felt like? She didn't want to end up like Mirabel, she loved the girl more than anything but there was no denying the girl was nuts. "Hey, Mira? Do you I'm going crazy too?" Dolores just wanted to know what the younger girl thought.

"You? No. Why?"

"Oh just wondering." Dolores murmured.

"Do..you think you're going crazy?"

"I don't know. I just like...the feeling using my old gift against others. I never knew I could hold so much power over people...I want more of that...is there something wrong with me?" by now they had arrived back at the barn Dolores retreating for her chair.

"Well I want the same...do you think theres something wrong with me?" Mirabel paused "Actually don't answer that, you and the whole family think I'm unstable. You think I'm crazy."

"We are just...concerned that's all. We're just worried about you."

Mirabel sighed as she sat down in her chair "I know..I know how I must look sometimes...but...I can't...help it."

"We know you can't help it." Dolores handed Mirabel a pastry from the basket "No one in the family is judging you for it."

"Hmm."

Dolores dropped the subject regretting she even brought it up "So what else is up for today?"

"Dunno. You can pick the plan for the day. I'm happy with whatever you suggest."

"I think we should check out that tunnel. We'll bring food, water, blankets, lanterns..."

"Err...how long will we be going?"

"Just in case...we'll go exploring."

Mirabel frowned "How are we going to carry all of that stuff."

"We're going to 'borrow' two horses."

"I don't know how to ride."

Dolores stood up "You'll be riding with me, you just have to hold on. The second horse is to carry our supplies. We need to see if we'll be able to get through with horses anyway. It'll be an adventure. Who knows we mind end up outside of the Encanto. I'll leave a note for our mothers."

Mirabel placed her head face down on the table "This is what I get for letting you pick what we do today."

Dolores just shrugged "You want to leave don't you?" when Mirabel nodded she started heading towards the door "I'll get the horses. You start packing." before Mirabel could answer she was out the door.

"And they call ME the crazy one. Yeah steal some horses and go explore this random tunnel we found..even I wouldn't come up with something like that." Mirabel chattered away to Salomé as she started folding blankets "Still...it will be a bit of an adventure and if it starts getting to dangerous to continue we can always just turn back...and I would like to see what it's like outside of the Encanto..if we can get out that way."

Salomé stared at her mistress with adoring eyes purring away the cat had definitely chosen Mirabel as her favourite person. Dolores would swear Salomé knew when Mirabel was getting herself worked up and would try to calm her down. Mirabel had quickly become attached herself and if anything happened to that cat it would break Mirabel's heart.

"Besides being out there can't be worse than being trapped in this hellhole." Mirabel began putting the food into a bag "Out there no one will no who I am. I'll just be the poor little blind girl. Could use that to my advantage." packing away the last arepa she patted her lap and Salomé jumped on rubbing herself against the girl "What do you think girl? Wanna go on a little off road road trip?" Mirabel smiled when she got a meow in response "I do wonder how Dolores is getting on with the horses."

ᙙĬᙖ

How does she keep getting herself into these situations? Dolores was in the private stable of one of the farmers hurriedly saddling a horse. She couldn't blame Mirabel for this one after all she suggested it. The prospect of possibly seeing the outside world excited her as she finished saddling and lead the horse out of it's stall stopping to untie the second horse she had already harnessed up with numerous pack straps to tie their supplies on. Clicking her tongue she lead the two equines out the barn. She wasn't stealing them she was just borrowing them...without asking. Outside she halted both horses mounting the saddled one thanking the fact she had all those years of riding lessons as she nudged the horse forward into a smooth canter their pack horse obediently following along side her.

Approaching the barn she pulled both horses back to a walk "Mirabel!"

Mirabel poked her head out the door "Ah..you really going to get me up on that thing? I never realised how..high up it was."

"You'll be fine, this horse is so gentle Antonio could ride her." dismounting she pushed through the door and grabbed the first bags "Come on have to hurry before anyone comes over here."

Mirabel feeling Dolores's excitement picked up the pace carrying everything out for Dolores to tie them onto the packhorse. Once the last bag was secured Mirabel picked up Salomé the cat resting in her rauna "So...how exactly do I get up there?"

Dolores chuckled "I'll help you. Just hold on to Salomé" she picked Mirabel up sitting her on the horse before climbing on in front of her "See? Not so bad."

"Speak for yourself."

"Just hold onto me, we'll just stick to a walk." Dolores felt Mirabel take a hold "There you go." having already tied their packhorse's to the saddle horn she clicked her tongue and the mare they were on obediently began walking forward. As they left the town far behind them Dolores felt the thrill grow. They were actually doing this. They were actually attempting to leave the Encanto.

Mirabel was slowly starting to relax and found herself enjoying the ride even though she still held onto Dolores with a death grip "Where did you get these horses exactly?"

"Ah...that's not important." Dolores replied "I'm going to give them back I promise." she looked forward "There's the tunnel." she brought the horses to a halt in front of the entrance hidden by long hanging vines as far as Dolores could see she saw no reason why a horse and wagon couldn't fit through.

"So we really going to do this?"

Dolores nodded "Oh yeah, if it starts getting dangerous I'll turn us around right away but lets just see how far we can get." holding the reins in one hand she picked up the lantern she had hanging on the side of the saddle and lit it "Alright..here we go. The adventure of our lives. Ready, hermanita?"

"As I'll ever be."

"Alright then." Dolores grinned "Let's go." she nudged the horses forward again however in her excitement she had completely forgotten one small but major step.

She had forgotten to leave that note.

ᙙĬᙖ

"Where are they?!"

Julieta watched Pepa pace back and forth a cloud over they head. They had come for their daily visit with their daughters, nothing unusual. But the pair wasn't here, again nothing unusual they did like to get out and about after all. But they have seemed to have packed up most of their supplies and left-now something was wrong there. If they were just out in town or hanging by the river they would have no need to take all the food Julieta dropped off for them this morning nor need to take all their blankets and the lantern they kept in that stall or their spare clothing. Had they runaway? Run to where?

Pepa halted "It looks like they have just packed up and left."

"But where would they go? There's no way out of here and I highly doubt someone has taken them in. If even if someone did they would tell us not just pack up and leave." Julieta stared chewing on her nails something she hasn't done since she was seven years old "Could of Señor Pérez thrown them out?"

"He wouldn't do that to them would he? He knows they have nowhere to go. He wouldn't...unless Mama talked him into it..."

"Unfortunately that does seem like something Mama would do..." Julieta sighed "We have to find them..."

"Find who?"

Julieta and Pepa turned to see Señor Pérez walking into the barn "Are the two girls missing?"

"You didn't know?" Pepa asked "We think they have runaway."

"I'm sure they are just out in town or do they do like to sit hang out by the river."

"They have taken all their supplies." Julieta said worriedly "I was even thinking you threw them out..."

"What?! I would never throw them out. I've grown really fond of both of them. What makes you think I'll just throw them out the door with nowhere to go?"

Julieta sighed sadly "No...but mi Mamá could talk you into it couldn't she?"

The man shook his head "How could she? This is my barn on my property she can't tell me who and who can't stay here. My guess is they got scared into fleeing I know the people around here are not...pleasant to them. And one of the farmers found two horses missing from his stables."

"Missing horses...all their supplies gone...no trace of them.." Pepa's cloud grew as she began pacing again "They've runaway...they've runaway..."

"Where would of they ran too? Unless..they know something...a way to get out of here..." Julieta kneeled down in the stall and picking up a book "They only took the essentials...seems to me they packed in a hurry and left anything extra behind."

"Where is my daughter?!" a crash flash of lightning came from above Pepa "Where is my niece?!"

"I'll get the wife and help look." Señor Pérez turned around and began walking out "If they are on horseback it'll be hard to miss them...just hope one of us find them before they get caught and trialed for horse theft."

Julieta hardly registered his departure "Something's happened to them...why else would they suddenly pack up and run? Oh mi mariposa...where are you?" Julieta's face paled "Do you think...Mamá did something to them? Made them feel like they were in enough danger to need to leave?"

Pepa's face darkened and she spun around "I swear if she has done anything to them it wouldn't be Mirabel she'll be calling a monster anymore. I'll make her seem like a gentle little kitten." she snarled as she quite literally stormed out the door.

"Keep her safe Dolores...wherever you two are...just be safe." Julieta whispered under her breath as she stood up and followed after Pepa.

Just where on earth did they go? And why?

ᙙĬᙖ

"I can't see a damn thing." Mirabel whined seeming frightened being so venerable in this strange place "Dolores..."

"It's okay...you're safe." Dolores reassured her "Good news is we can fit the horses through here...bad news is we won't fit the wagon...it's too narrow for the wheels to pass through smoothly."

Mirabel just tightened her hold "How much further? I don't like it in here."

Dolores would of given her a reassuring hug if she could but instead she just dropped the reins to turn her head and give Mirabel a reassuring rub on the shoulder "Not much further I can see the end of the tunnel up ahead...we did it Mira...we are actually leaving the Encanto." excitement picked up in Dolores voice as she turned back around picking the reins back up "We have the supplies so maybe we could keep going..see if we can find a town we will be able to run to after...well you know. We'll pick up supplies for the return trip there if we do."

"With what money?"

Dolores just chuckled "Ah who said anything about paying? Why I'm just the poor woman with no money to her name trying to raise my poor blind hermanita all by myself. We have nothing to offer but surely they could open their hearts to us? Surely someone can spare some food for the two poor sisters who only have each other?"

"Tug at their heartstrings?"

"Exactly." Dolores felt relief once they stepped out of the tunnel exit hidden by vines just like the entrance the only thing giving it away was the sun shining through the small gaps in the vines it felt like hours since they first entered. With a sigh of relief they made it she put the lantern out tying it back to the side of the saddle before turning the horses around so they were facing the mountains they surrounded the Encanto "We're...outside the Encanto...we did it...we did it.

Mirabel looked up at the mountains blinking rapidly but no sight would come to her world "Dolores...Dolores...I am wearing my glasses right?"

"Yeah..." Dolores was confused for a moment before it dawned on her "Can't you see?"

Mirabel shook her head "It's all dark...why is it all dark if we're not in the tunnel anymore?"

"The magic...we're outside of the Encanto...the magic doesn't work out here...you rely on the magic for your vision..." Dolores looked back towards the tunnel "Do you want to go back or keep going? It's okay if you're scared."

"No...let's keep going. This is the first taste of real freedom we've had. I trust you to look after me."

"Alright...give those glasses though so they don't get broken." she held her hand out and watched as Mirabel took the glasses off her face and placed them in her hand "Right I'll put them in one of the bags okay?" when Mirabel nodded she did just that "Right let's see if we can find a town. Alma said they all fled from one a few hours from here and that was on foot...so..." she urged the horses back into a walk and looked up to the sky "Maybe we can find a place to stay the night depends how late it gets."

"How are you going to explain my face to people? They will ask you know they will."

Dolores had been thinking about it the whole time they were in a tunnel "When you were ten and I was sixteen our home caught on fire. I got out unharmed but you suffered serious facial burns that left you scarred for life. Those flames also damaged your eyes beyond repair leaving you fully blind. And if they ask we've been separated from the rest of our family."

"And we're sisters, not cousins. Right?"

"Indeed. We're sisters. We come from a small village far away looking for a better life."

Mirabel hummed "Works for me, hermana."

"You getting used to being on horseback? Not so scary is it?"

"It's not the being on the horse part that worries me. It's the falling off part."

"You're not going to fall off, not with the hold you have on me. Luisa would be impressed by your grip."

Mirabel loosened her hold "Oh...sorry Lolo."

Dolores chuckled quietly "You're fine, Mira. I was scared my first ride as well. But you're going a lot better than Tío Bruno. Last time he rode a horse he got his foot tangled up in the reins." she giggled at the memory.

"How?" Mirabel chuckled at the thought.

"Ah that's one mystery we never solved. If...what happened didn't happen you would of gotten riding lessons as well. All Madrigals learn to ride."

"Expect for me."

"Yes...expect for you. Even Antonio is starting to learn. He has the advantage of actually being able to talk with the horses though...bit unfair but it is what it is."

Mirabel sighed and without realising it tightened her grip again, she didn't want to admit but she was terrified not about being on the horse but the fact they were both in a strange new place and with her not even being able to see a thing. Sure they talked about leaving the Encanto and sure the prospect of it had her excited earlier but now they actually were out here she was terrified. They had no idea what sort of dangers they were headed towards. "Dolores? Can you describe where we are?" maybe if she had an idea of what kind of place they were in she might feel more relaxed.

"Of course." Dolores smiled "We are walking along a dirt path and both sides are lined with trees. To your left there is a small narrow river and to your right is some open grassland. There's birds flying around everywhere but no doubt you can hear them singing and know they are here. It's very calm and peaceful here the road ahead is clear and I'll be able to see anything coming towards us."

"It sounds...nice." Mirabel frowned as her stomach growled all she had eaten today was that one pastry.

Dolores's own stomach was growling "How about we stop for a bit? The horses need a break anyway." without waiting for an answer she turned off the path and headed towards the river coming to a halt when she spotted a nice flat grassy spot "Okay. Let go of me, I'll dismount and than help you down grab onto the saddle if you need to."

"Alright..." Mirabel pulled her hands away from Dolores but not grabbing onto the saddle after a moment she felt Dolores reach up and pull her off the horse relief filling her when her feet touched solid ground.

"Right just over here." Dolores guided Mirabel over to sit down "I'll tend to the horses."

"Okay. I guess I just sit here."

Dolores hummed to herself as she loosen the saddle girth on the first horse and took everything off their packhorse to give them a chance to relax. Still humming her tune she lead them towards the river tethering them up to a tree but allowing enough length for the horses to reach the water. Both equines instantly dropping their heads to graze. Grabbing a bag that contained food and water Dolores joined Mirabel "You know..this is nice. Like a little vacation." she handed Mirabel one of the slices of cake they got earlier "We needed this...to get out."

Mirabel ate her cake eyes staring unfocused into the distance "What did you put on that note anyway?"

"What note?"

"The note you left for our mothers saying where we are gone."

All the colour drained from Dolores's face "I...forgot to leave the note."

"So no one has any idea where we are?"

"No..."

"Dolores!"

Dolores rubbed her face "It slipped my mind! But it's fine...it's fine. I'll explain everything when we get back. They know we plan to leave. It'll be fine, sure they will be angry but relieved."

Mirabel shook her head "I can't imagine the storm that's happening back home..."

ᙙĬᙖ

"WHERE ARE OUR DAUGHTERS?!"

Alma flinched as thunder boomed overhead her two daughters having her cornered in her room "Mirabel and Dolores are at that barn or by the river. How am I supposed to know?"

Julieta growled under her breath "They are not at the barn, and all their supplies are gone."

Pepa shoved her face into Alma's fury blazing in her eyes "Where...are...our...daughters..." she growled out each word.

"I don't know!"

"You threatened them didn't you?" Pepa accused "Threatened them enough they felt so much in danger they ran away."

"I did no such thing. I ran into them this morning but I didn't do anything to either of them they are the ones who were sending me threats." Alma straightened herself "I have no idea why they have suddenly packed up and left but they'll have to be in the valley somewhere. Theres no way out."

"We been all over the Encanto. There is no sign of them anywhere it's like they have just vanished into thin air. All we know is they are most likely on horseback,Señor Giraldo has reported two horses missing. His prized saddle mare and one of his packhorses."

Alma folded her arms "So they are horse thieves now?"

Pepa threw her hands in the air "Is that all you took from that? Dolores and Mirabel are MISSING! They are out there probably terrified. Something caused them to run fast. They could be hurt!"

"How is it my fault?!"

"Oh forgive us for suspecting you had a hand it in but we have every right. You don't like them. You want them gone." Julieta wiped at the tears in her eyes "If you really had nothing to do with it then you will get out there and help us find them."

Alma frowned "Look where? You said you already looked everywhere!"

"And you said they have to be around here somewhere. So get out there and help find your granddaughters. NOW!" Pepa's storm increased in intensity "Everyone else is already out looking. SO GO!"

"Of course..." Alma made her way towards the door. Me threaten them? Oh please they threatened ME! How is their little runaway act my fault? They are probably perfectly fine somewhere around here laughing at the trouble they have caused. But...what if something has happened to them? What would threaten them enough to send them packing and running? Where would they even go? with a sigh Alma made her way out the door and turned towards the river "Mirabel! Dolores!" she called out only putting half the effort in. If the two have disappeared they would make her life so much easier that's for sure but she would forever be left wondering about their fates.

"MIRABEL!"

"DOLORES!"

Alma could hear Agustín and Félix shouting in the distance calling desperately for their daughters even over the roar of the storm Pepa had unleashed onto the town. "Where on earth did you two go.." Alma muttered to herself. It's not like they left the Encanto...right?

ᙙĬᙖ

Dolores and Mirabel were back on the move feeling freshened again after some lunch and small siesta, Dolores laughing it was a good thing they brought the blankets. Dolores hummed to herself taking note they were nearing civilisation seeing buildings in the horizon. There was no way they could make it back to the Encanto today though so Dolores was hoping they could find a place to stay overnight.

"See anything Dolores?" Mirabel asked.

"Buildings up ahead...a lot of buildings." Dolores answered "There's a hill over there I can get a good overlook of everything from." she turned the horses towards the hill coming to a halt at the top "Wow..."

"What?"

In front of them was a large town that made their own isolated village look like a single street. She heard of cities in the books she read and now here she was in the flesh looking down upon one. A real city. "I think...I think we found it. This is were our mothers and Tío Bruno were born."

"You mean this is where Alma and Abeulo Pedro fled from?" Mirabel really hated being blind right now. She wanted to see it "What does it look like?"

Dolores just smiled "It looks like freedom."

Notes:
I have learnt a
valuable life lesson, ALWAYS back up your work.
Long story short...I had to rewrite this whole chapter all over again.
And I think I have died a little as a result.

And so our duo has left the Encanto for a little road trip.
No nothing bad is going to happen to them..quite the opposite actually.
They will have some explaining to do when they get back, but yes there was a secret way in and out this whole time.
But good thing Alma doesn't know about it otherwise you know what she would do.

Also butterfly dividers..kinda bugged my poor friend to tell me where to get them.
Do I need them? No? Do I want them anyway? Yes

Review Reponses:

KaliAnn: I don't think they interacted at all. Half the family didn't interact with the other half.

Darkment34: That is true, she not plotting revenge just for 'lol I'm the bad guy' reasons more like saying 'you made me this way, you broke me down until I snapped, you brought this on yourself'. Under all that anger and hate, Mira is a big softie really but the world was going to treat her as their villain either way so why fight it.
