01) Clouds

Rachel whistled to herself as she placed the cloud shaped cookies onto a cooling rack on the kitchen island of the apartment she shared with her girlfriends, before turning around to grab the icing supplies from the nearby cupboard. There was a familiar rustle behind her and she just smiled as she said "They're for the party, B," before turning around to see Brittany reaching for one of the cookies.

Brittany pouted as she retracted her hand and said "But Ray, how do we know we can take them to Kurtie's if we don't taste one?" as she turned on her puppy dog eyes.

"B," said Rachel, sighing. It was really hard to say no to her girlfriend… "Fine, the batch did make a few extra than usual."

"Yay!" said Brittany, jumping up and down with a grin on her face before running around the island to hug Rachel. "Thank you!"

"Do you want to help me decorate them?" Rachel smiled as Brittany let go and nodded. "The party isn't till five."

"Can we make some of them look like rain clouds?"

Rachel nodded. "Sure, whatever you want." She immediately started mixing the icing with a smile.

A few hours later, Quinn and Santana walked into the apartment to find a box of cookies on the kitchen island, alongside two, one in white icing and the other in gray icing with blue icing as rain drops, on a plate with a note that read 'Free Samples'.

Quinn chuckled as she said "Brittany must have gotten to her."

"Who cares, Ray's cookies are amazing," said Santana, walking over to the plate. "You want the rain cloud or the normal cloud?"

"I don't mind, you pick," said Quinn, smiling at her girlfriend. "I wonder where our girlfriends are. They can't have left already."

As if on cue, the bathroom door opened and Rachel stepped out, towels wrapped around her body and hair. "B's in our room, changing."

"I thought you already had a shower this morning," said Santana, confused as she took in Rachel. "You don't normally take two."

"One of the icing bags exploded as I was clearing up…" was Rachel's response, shaking her head. "I managed to clean up the kitchen though, but I was sticky for all the wrong reasons."

Quinn nodded and said "We need to get some new bags, that's the fourth one that's exploded on us."

"Here you go, Q," said Santana, handing Quinn a plate with the rain cloud cookie on it. She had the other one in hand, a bite already taken out of it, as she looked at Rachel. "These are amazing as usual, Ray, but I thought you were doing those rainbow cupcakes. Did Brittany convince you to make cookies?"

"We've actually run out of vegan food dye," said Rachel, with a small smile. "I thought we had more but I must have used it up last time."

"And the clouds?" asked Quinn, looking at her girlfriend. "It's not a themed party."

"It was one of the first cutters I found in the cupboard," said Rachel, shrugging. "It was either clouds or unicorns, and I figured clouds would be a safer bet." She then looked at the others. "Now, if you'll excuse, I need to go get ready. Kurt's expecting us there in an hour."

Quinn just chuckled as she and Santana watched Rachel leave before taking a seat on the sofa and grabbing the Switch remote. "Wanna play Mario Kart before we leave?"

"I'll go and grab B, she won't wanna miss this," said Santana, nodding. Before walking into the bedroom.
