05) Sparkle
"They're so pretty," said Brittany, her eyes wide as she watched the fireworks sparkle in the sky as she stood on the rooftop of their apartment, bundled up in their winter attire. Her girlfriends were sat on the chairs set up, holding glasses of sparkling cider.
"I agree, the view is very pretty," said Santana, smirking as she watched her girlfriend, admiring the way Brittany's coat hugged her curves as she lent on the railings trying to get a better view of the fireworks.
Rachel gently pushed Santana and said "The fireworks are beautiful, yes, Britt, but be careful." She then shook her head. "I still can't believe it's been another year…"
"Yeah, it's been a hectic one…" said Quinn, as she lent her head on Santana's shoulder. "We finally won Nationals, started college, got our own apartment…"
"Some of us got jobs instead of college, but yeah," said Santana, with a small smile. "The last four months have been amazing." She went to say something else, but another firework went off, lighting up the sky in blue sparks.
"Ooo," said Brittany, grinning. Before she bounded over to them and sat down on Santana's lap. "These are so much better than last years fireworks."
Rachel chuckled. "Yeah, those ones were a little lackluster." She then smiled at her girlfriend. "So, Britt, what was your favorite part of the year?"
Brittany lent back as she thought, before saying "Moving here. I didn't think I'd be able to because of my grades, but you helped me through it."
"Always," said Quinn, smiling at Brittany. "We weren't going to leave you in Lima while we moved out here."
"Yeah, it wouldn't have been the same without you," said Santana, leaning up to kiss Brittany. "And those kids you teach would feel the same, I know."
"They're the best," said Brittany, nodding. Just as another firework went off and she jumped off her girlfriend's lap. "So pretty."
Santana shared a look with Rachel and Quinn before looking at Brittany and saying "It is, isn't it. Though it is starting to get cold, maybe we should head back inside. We should still be able to see them from the window."
Brittany nodded as she rejoined her girlfriends, and they began clearing up their stuff. Grabbing the blankets and glasses, and the bottle of sparkling cider.
