"What the fuck does 'vintage' even mean?!" asked Santana, as she looked at the letter every member of New Directions had found on their usual chairs in the choir room of McKinley High. She was now sat in Rachel's bedroom with her girlfriends and they were going through the letter.
"Language, San," said Rachel, glaring at her. Before sighing. "Honestly? I have no clue. This is the first Nationals to even have a theme… It could mean anything."
"Vintage songs, vintage clothes…" said Quinn, nodding. "Mr. Schue seemed just as confused as us."
"When isn't he confused, though," said Santana, shaking her head. "But how are we meant to work out our competition list if we have no idea what the theme even means?"
"You're very calm about this, Rach," said Quinn, looking at her girlfriend.
Rachel shrugged and said "If the last two years have taught me anything, it's that our group has a weird habit of being able to come up with something days before our competitions and manage to win. We're good under pressure."
"Good to know our Captain has full faith in us," said Quinn, smiling. Before looking at Santana. "I'm sure Mr. Schue will have some answers during our next session."
Santana sighed but nodded before saying "Fine. Why don't we just play some Smash or something?"
Rachel chuckled as she stood up to grab the controllers from the side.
