- I got the idea for the pairings, and the reason they are going to school, from this fic, but what is described in the underlying Author's Note is my idea.

The following scene relates to a story idea I have, but don't know when, or if, I'll post it.
An AU to Yu Yu Hakusho, where Rando was trained by Genkai, alongside Yusuke.
"What kinda dumb-ass name is Yokai Academy?" Yusuke grumbled, as he recieved his latest mission. He did little more then complain, at every briefing, but this one was particularly awful.
Koenma, the 700 year old toddler, sighed in exasperation. Koenma was the son of King Yama, ruler over the spirit world. Although Yusuke would be lying, if he said he wasn't curious to know who his mother was. Seriously, who could find a giant red ogre attractive?
Regardless, their little gang was all here. As they were used to being summoned by this infant.
Koenma was The Shinigami in charge of Earth. Typically, a god of death looked after thousands of universes, and their connected pocket dimensions... but Koenma was so young, by their standards, he was put in charge of a single planet... like giving a kid a pet goldfish, before trusting them with a puppy.
"A school for Yokai, I imagine" Rando helpfully supplied.
Rando had technically won the Tournament, to be trained by the world's most powerful Psychic. But when he killed Yusuke... the boy's demon blood kicked in.
Yusuke might have been born a human, but he had a demon ancestor, buried deep in his family tree.
The genes were mostly dormant, activated by a violent death, after achieving a certain power level.
Since Yusuke just barely achieved the power level, he ascended into a B Rank demon. Just powerful enough to go under King Yama's attention... although not so unnoticeable, Koenma didn't earn himself a thorough spanking. That is, for not studying Yusuke's ancestry more carefully.
It was a good thing, Yusuke died, as after he ascended into a demon, he totally kicked Rando's ass... only to be told he had already lost the tournament. Having died and all.
Although Genkai, the powerful psychic, agreed to train both Yusuke and Rando.
Rando had killed 99 Psychics, to steal their powers, but training with Yusuke... going through that hell together. They had gotten to know each other, and Rando even softened a good deal, despite becoming far more powerful.
It seemed a bad habit, but most of Yusuke's friends were former demons.
Like Hiei, the three eyed swordsman, and fire demon. He literally tried to enslave the world, but now he's working for Koenma, and is one of Yusuke's best friends.
Then there is Kurama, a pretty common name for fox demons. He used to be a pretty ruthless guy. Although Yusuke couldn't take the credit for converting him... he had been badly injured, and had to reincarnate himself through a human... and came to love his mortal mother. Even attempted to sacrifice his life, so that she could be cured of a terminal illness.
Then lastly, and Yusuke first real obstacle... was Kazuma Kuwabara, a notable psychic, for his sheer level of spiritual awareness. He had been Yusuke's school yard rival... and had grown into his best friend.
Although Yusuke was still pissed, that when King Yama demanded Koenma replace the teen, as Earth's defender, the immortal toddler chose Kuwabara.
King Yama was insistent, and although he tolerated his son's obsession of hiring demons, the king refused to let one be the planet's "Spirit Detective".
So Yusuke got demoted, and Kuwabara was hired on.
Then Koenma proceeded to throw money at Genkai, until the old woman agreed to train all three of Yusuke's friends.
They were all A rank now. Well most of his friends could destroy a Continent... Yusuke could destroy a moon.
So obviously, King Yama getting antsy about letting, such powerful demons, stay in the mortal plane. However, as he had been regularly observing them, he decided to keep a "wait and see" policy.
"Yokai Academy," Koenma got their attention, "Is in a pocket dimension, so you'll likely meet a few monsters from other time periods... or planets... possibly dimensions. Although it's directly connected to 21st Century Earth. So most of the Kids will be from there."
"That's nice," Yusuke cleaned out his ear. "And what makes you think we're willing to go?"
Koenma scoffed, "It doesn't matter if you're willing. This is a compromise with Father. You go to this school, which preaches cooperation with humans, and he will let you stay on Earth. You refuse, and he has an army of Celestials, waiting to escort you to demon world."
Kurama sighed, "I suppose we don't have a choice. I don't particularly care for the idea of being trapped in that wasteland."
The other's groaned their consent. All but one,
Hiei glared, "You really expect to put us with a bunch of low class monsters? Yokai aren't even true demons!"
Kuwabara smirked, "You spend most of your time in the human world. Why's it such a big deal to hang out with monsters?"
Hiei scowled... mostly because he couldn't find an argument to that, and hating that a meat head like Kuwabara, could make such a sound argument.
Grasping at straws, and somehow coming up with an equally strong argument. Hiei sneered, "Just cuz I live in the human world, doesn't mean I 'hang out' with them. I barely tolerate low level demons, and monsters are a good few miles below that."
Rando shook his head, "I suggest you get over that. Most people are inferior to us. That's the very reason King Yama doesn't want us in the mortal plane. Even if we bound ourselves to the fates, he probably just use that to kill us."
Koenma stiffened, "You'd be willing to do that?" That was far better then he hoped.
"Was thinking about it..." Rando admitted. "I love the Mortal Verse, and would hate to leave it... but if I bound myself to the mortal plane, that means I couldn't go to any other dimension. Not even this one. Plus the fates are not kind to the demons that trust them. Even then, you need a demon's ability to alter Destiny. Ironically, wanting to keep helping you protect the world, is the very thing stopping me from binding myself to it."
Koenma sighed, seeing where he was coming from... although the very fact he thought about this, in such detail... was that why Father was willing to let them stay.
Few demons would ever bind themselves to the rules of the fates. They were creatures of chaos, by nature. Their every moment would feel like a violation... and Rando, arguably the worst of them, was thinking about it.
Looking at Kurama and Hiei... at their resigned faces... they thought about it too.
Yusuke just looked confused. Then again, as a Hanyou, he'd never be able to bind himself to the will of any plane. He would always be an instrument of chaos... which was exactly what Koenma needed him to be, if they were to save as many lives as possible.

The following scene relates to a story idea I have, but don't know when, or if, I'll post it.
An AU to Inuyasha, where Kagome freed Inuyasha in the present, and didn't go back in time
Sesshomaru walked through his manor, within Demon World. His various Demonic servants making themselves busy.
He lost a taste for travelling the country side. He had done enough of that in his youth, when he was grieving his father... he had not been a very good son.
"FUCK OFF!!!" nor much of a brother. Although he was trying now... but that was hard going.
Sesshomaru stopped by his brother's door, hearing the Hanyou snarling at the servants, as they tried to tend to his needs.
"I don't need you bastards hovering over me all the time." Inuyasha demanded, "Now get lost!!!"
The servants shambled away.
Sesshomaru sighed, "They are just trying to do their jobs." He spoke patiently.
"Fuck that!!!" Inuyasha sneered. "I don't need them going through my stuff!!!"
"Maybe if you cleaned your room-" Sesshomaru tried to reason, but was interrupted.
"Fuck you," Inuyasha barked. The boy really abused that word... Sesshomaru couldn't help but wonder if he even knew what it meant.
Inuyasha growled, "I used to sleep in literal trees and mud! My room is not nearly that dirty." Although it was certainly coming close. Inuyasha just didn't know HOW to keep his room clean. The pup had no experience with that. This was the first time he had an actual room, since he was 5.
Sesshomaru flinched, knowing it was his fault.
After Inuyasha's mortal mother died, Sesshomaru was supposed to take him in... the boy might be a Hanyou, but he was still his little brother... Sesshomaru had just been feeling insecure, and jealous. After all, Inuyasha, though tainted by human blood, was father's favorite son... This led to Sesshomaru, shamefully, leaving the pup to his own devices.
When Inuyasha was around 250 years old, the young teen was put in an eternal sleep. Keeping him unconscious, and keeping him from aging... which may have been a blessing.
As Inuyasha slept... hundreds of years passed... and Sesshomaru realized his sins. Visiting his sleeping brother frequently, and swearing, if he ever woke up... he'd do better.
So, after nearly 500 years, when Inuyasha rejoined the waking world, he tracked the boy down, and brought him home... it wasn't easy, given Celestials were irritating the SSS rank demon the whole time he searched the mortal plane.
Inuyasha sighed, looking around his room... "I used to have dreams about you taking me into your home... having servants... family... friends... it's just... I still have trouble seeing it as real."
"You should have had this from the beginning," Sesshomaru sighed. "And I will spend the rest of eternity making it up to you."
Inuyasha groaned, "It will probably take that long just to get used to the idea."
Sesshomaru eyed the pup. Then spoke, with complete sincerity. "I'm aiming for a century or two."
For some reason, this made Inuyasha snort a laugh.
Moving on, Sesshomaru asked, "Are you packed for school?"
Inuyasha gave a hesitant nod. In his day, school was reserved for nobility, or the extremely wealthy. It actually felt... nice, being given the education he always should have had. Claiming his birthright.
Miroku and Shippo were going with him. They were some of the people Sesshomaru accumulated, during his travels.
Shippo was more like Sesshomaru's adopted son, much like the little human girl, The older dog demon would tell stories about.
Shippo is an orphaned kitsune, who's parents were killed by a pair of particularly cruel demons. Sesshomaru found the kit, after the boy stole back his father's skinned pelt. Sesshomaru made quick work of the demons, and Shippo began following him around. Which eventually developed into a father/son relationship.
Where as Miroku was an "Abomination". Having made a deal with a Raven Demon, and merging with it. In order to gain control over a curse, inflicted on him by the Demon, Naraku. The curse had killed his grandfather, and his father.
But Miroku refused to die from it, and out smarted the Raven demon, that offered him salvation. Fusing with it's power and biology, but keeping his mind intact.
Miroku was technically a "Hanyou", though a different class then Inuyasha. Although now the curse is fueled by his own power, and not even the death of Naraku could break it. As the curse will forever be a part of Miroku.
Miroku has ways to perfectly repress his demon aura. Beyond the detection of sacred artifacts, or even Priestess. This allows him to continue using seals and talismans, that he used during his days as a human monk.
Miroku could open a portal, from within his own palm, to suck in everything in front of him. However, he can now close it, at will. With no threat of getting pulled inside, himself. He still needed to be careful while using his Portals, as they are connected to his body. Meaning, if he sucks in poison, his physical body becomes poisoned.
Every living thing consumed by his portals, permanently increased his own demonic powers. This gives an addictive rush. Tempting him to use it to solve every problem. Even losing himself to the feel of power. He continues to fight against this Temptation, knowing it could make him careless, and possibly hurt innocents.
Both Shippo, and Miroku, were technically older then 100... but Yokai Academy actually accepted demons up to 2000, given how slowly they aged. As both of them were still teenagers.
Inuyasha aged faster then them, being a born Hanyou, yet far slower then a human. No two hanyou were the same, with wildly different biologies, but they did have similarities.
Inuyasha found Shippo pretty annoying... yet lovable. Where as Miroku was pretty alright.
"Maybe you should call your lady friend?" Sesshomaru suggested.
Inuyasha blushed, growling a little, just to cover up his embarrassment.
This "Lady Friend" was actually how Inuyasha was woken up. As she was the reincarnation of the one who trapped him... and by coincidence, his human lover.
Naraku had tricked them, into thinking the other had attacked them. That way they would go after each other. So Naraku could get a reality altering gem stone, which the Priestess was guarding.
While he failed to achieve the goal, The priestess died from her wounds, but not before trapping Inuyasha in an eternal sleep.
When the Jewel awoke, it restored the memories of the girl's past life. She was still herself, Kagome, but now she remembered her destiny as a guard to a terrifying item of power... and her sin of imprisoning her love.
Kagome woke him up, talked to him for hours, explained they had both been tricked... and that past her had died of the wounds Naraku inflicted, while wearing Inuyasha's face.
Then the two went on adventures, to find Naraku, and save the world from the stone, once and for all.
Inuyasha hadn't seen her in a few months. Though Sesshomaru let him call her frequently on an "Interdimensional Phone". But she would be going to this special monster school. So they would be seeing a lot of each other...
Wonder how the Yokai will feel about a true priestess among them. Inuyasha couldn't help but smirk, they would probably shit themselves.

The following scene relates to a story idea I have, but don't know when, or if, I'll post it.
Sequel to the original, 2001, Anime. Not the 2019 version (as I haven't seen it).
In this version, after Tohru gets a breakthrough with Akito, the curse is "broken" by Harry Potter. Who was trying his hand at Curse Breaking, thanks to his Deathly Hallows.
Tohru volunteered to become the new "Core" of the Curse. And, through that transfer, Harry is able to alter the curse to be more bearable.
Turning Tohru into a Vampire, and the Zodiac into Yokai. They now have the ability to switch to their animal forms at will... or if overly stressed. As well as each of them having a demon form, like Kyo, although they can control it.
"Isn't it enough we cursed ourselves into full blown monsters for him!" Kyo was a bit too loud, for his words to be considered grumbling. "Now we gotta go to monster school." he growled.
"We haven't aged at all in 20 years," Yuki sighed. "People are starting to notice."
Tohru, looking just as young as her boyfriends, smiled at them. "I think it be fun, going back to school."
"You like everything!" Kyo snapped, instantly regretting it. But at Tohru's laugh, he couldn't help but give a sigh of relief. Kyo went to blushing, and decided to keep his remaining gripes, to himself.
A/N:
The following scene takes place between the first Naruto Anime, and Naruto Shippuden. Where Naruto is traveling the world, studying under masters, and growing in maturity.
Naruto learning all of these things, and bringing it back to the village, is my explanation for the technological boom, in Boruto.
Although, my ideas, for what happens in Shippuden, are widely different then the Anime... as well as the fact, I plan for Hokage Naruto, not to be a neglectful father. After all, he can just use Shadow Clones to handle all the Paperwork, that goes with the Title.
• 5 Billion Years Later,
On Shinobi World:
"School?" Naruto scowled, walking beside Jiraiya... and the Kyubi.
Naruto had invented a new type of Shadow Clone. In order to give the 9 tailed fox, a body of his own.
It wasn't nearly as powerful as the Demon's true form, but it let Kurama (a different fox from Yusuke's) control the clone like a puppet.
Naruto invented it after observing the puppet warriors, and combined the theories with his signature Jutsu.
Apparently, the tailed beasts were legit lords, among demons. And the legends about them being "Imprisoned", by the first leader of Konoha, was a bit exaggerated.
They had volunteered. They were, in reality, noble guardians of Shinobi World. But with how strick the gods were, about S rank demons roaming the mortal plain, they needed a loophole. So they needed hosts, to interact with the physical world.
But the Shinobi betrayed them, using them as weapons.
Naruto had learned, Kurama might be rough around the edges, but he was actually a pretty honorable guy... he just felt the humans betrayed his trust... but come to realize that wasn't Naruto's fault.
Even then, Kurama didn't attack the village of his own will. He was being controlled. By "Blood Magic" as the demon called it. He was as much a victim as the people he killed.
"Come on Kurama! I haven't been to a school in years!" Naruto whined.
"Exactly, You're far too uneducated." Kurama huffed. "This journey is supposed to be about accumulating as much skill, and Knowledge, as possible. A single year, using your shadow clones to accumulate long lost information, won't kill you. You can even bring it back to your village."
Jiraiya nodded, "It's a good idea."
Naruto's head snapped over at his Godfather. "Pervy Sage!!!" he wailed his title for the man.
Jiraiya smirked, "I need to find a place to hone your skills, over everything you learned, anyway. A school will be as good a place as any. And it will give you the opportunity to use the Shadow Clones for their original purpose, gathering information. With the sheer number of clones you can create. You should be able to raid this world for all it's knowledge."
Kurama gave a firm nod, "He'll even have permission to do so. And later, use his Clones to educate all your village scientists." The Kyubi then smiled at the boy. "Such an action will help the Villagers better accept you," as all Jinchuriki were feared, due to ignorance. "If you were to advance the Sciences... more then hitting bandits, anyway."
Naruto continued to grumble.
Jiraiya's smirk turned sly, "Maybe we can see if Haku and Gaara want to come."
Naruto had to grudgingly admit, the idea of spending a whole year, with friends he rarely got to see... it did, ALMOST, make up for having to go back to school.
