Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing more of Naruto's training under Mikoto, along with learning more of what to expect when he becomes a Genin. As well as seeing more of his time at the Academy and what's changed over the last two months. So, without further ado.

I own nothing

The next morning, Naruto woke up feeling groggy, confused, and a little out of it when he started opening his eyes, only to not recognize the room he was in.

'This…this isn't my apartment.' Thought Naruto, sitting up and looking around, rubbing his eyes to get rid of any remaining drowsiness and try to remember where he was.

'It's also definitely not the Zeroth Training Ground, or the hidden arena.' Naruto thought, knowing it wasn't the hidden arena in the Zeroth Training Ground either, given the fact he's pretty sure it didn't have windows.

Only for the memories to start coming back to him, being caught by Mikoto after breaking into the Uchiha Compound, trying to escape only for her to manage to catch him. Being brought back to her home, where he learned not only that he was the Kyūbi's Jinchūriki, but also who his parents are, with his mother being one of the Three Demon Queens and his father was the Yondaime Hokage. And the fact that Mikoto is his godmother, having been prevented from taking him in by the Hokage, along with her offering to help with his training.

'Definitely wasn't expecting…well, any of that from happening.' Naruto thought, still having a hard time believing any of that happened.

But seeing the room he was in, as well as sensing Mikoto downstairs, the whiskered blonde knew that it all really did happen. Which also brought back all the feelings he had felt the previous day, finally knowing why he's hated and who his parents are. Though also how his own father sealed the Kyūbi inside of him and the Sandaime kept him from being raised by his godmother. But, at least made sure the younger generation learned about the Kyūbi, like everyone else now did.

'Not that it did much good.' Thought Naruto, knowing that even if other children didn't know about the Kyūbi, they still followed their parents example in ignoring or isolating him.

Shaking his head, not wanting to think about such things at the moment, Naruto got up and exited the room before going downstairs. With him finding the Uchiha Matriarch in the kitchen, making breakfast, before she looked towards him.

"Good morning, Naruto. I already got started on breakfast, so you'll still have time to get cleaned up and dressed before it's done." Mikoto said, surprising Naruto before he nodded.

"Oh u-um…right, thank you, Mikoto-sensei." Said Naruto, with the ravenette waving it off.

"There's no need to thank me, we'll have a lot to do today and it'll be good for you to have a lot of energy." Replied Mikoto, smiling at the Uzumaki, with Naruto nodding again.

"Okay, I'll go get ready then." Naruto said before heading towards the bathroom.

*Later*

After taking a shower, along with getting dressed in some new clothes that Mikoto had set out for him. Given how his clothes were dirty after the chase between them, the sparring match, and training. Before Naruto had gone back to the kitchen, seeing Mikoto having finished making breakfast and setting it.

"I'm glad to see the clothes fit." Stated Mikoto, once she saw Naruto, having gotten some old clothes that Itachi wore when he was Naruto's age, while making sure they weren't the traditional Uchiha clothing.

With Naruto looking down at himself, now wearing black sandals, dark grey-white shorts, and a black shirt.

"Yeah, thanks for these." Naruto replied, with Mikoto nodding in response before they both sat down and began eating.

"So…are we going to be training again, today?" Questioned Naruto, wondering if they'll be training again or doing something else.

"We'll be training, but after we get some things done around the compound first. We'll be doing some renovation and maintenance on the other houses to make sure they're all kept in decent shape, along with some gardening to avoid any plants from getting overgrown or start covering the buildings. We'll also be checking the inventory of the armory and making sure the weapons are kept in good condition, as well as organizing the Jutsu Archives to ensure everything it properly sorted and in place. Plus a few other things that we'll try to get done, today, if we have time since there'll still be your training to continue." Mikoto explained, the whiskered blonde frowning at hearing everything they'll be doing before they get to training.

"That's…a lot to do." Naruto said before yelping when Mikoto flicked him on the forehead.

"Don't forget, it's still a punishment you need to complete, and it'll help you get used to such things when you're doing D-Rank Missions." Said Mikoto, making Naruto look at her in confusion.

"D-Rank Missions?" Naruto asked, the ravenette nodding in response.

"Yes, they're the lowest ranked mission and given to newly graduated Genin, consisting of things like farming, babysitting, finding lost pets, gardening and other things that aren't really dangerous. They're used to help teach discipline, patience, teamwork, and helping to get Genin used to following orders. Whether they like them or not, as there will be times on missions where you have to do things that you don't like or want to do. Plus, it's also great for teaching you various life skills that could help you, whether it's when you're out on a mission or at home." Replied Mikoto, Naruto frowning again but nodded in understanding, seeing what she meant.

"Okay. Though what other kinds of missions are there?" Asked Naruto, interested to learn more about what he should expect once he becomes a Ninja.

"Missions are divided into five ranks, D-Rank, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, and S-Rank. C-Rank Missions are for more experienced Genin, ones that have a few months to a year's worth of experience, as well as Chūnin. They consist of missions like guarding people against bandits or highwaymen, background investigations, eliminating or capturing bandits or thieves, and capturing or suppressing wild animals. C-Ranks also have a low chance of encountering other Ninja, but there's always a chance of it happening." Mikoto explained, looking at Naruto to make sure he's following along before continuing.

"Then there are B-Rank Missions, these are ones assigned to experienced Chūnin and it's anticipated that for these missions, you will encounter other Ninja that you'll need to fight. The kinds of missions you'd expect are guarding people, espionage, or killing other Ninja. After that are A-Rank Missions, which are reserved for Jōnin due to how important they are, usually involving village-or-state-level matters and trends, among other things. These missions usually are guarding VIPs or suppressing enemy forces, so it's all but assured you would see combat on A-Rank Missions. And finally there are the S-Rank Missions." Said Mikoto.

"I'm guessing those are for experienced Jōnin, only." Naruto said, with the Uchiha Matriarch nodding in response.

"That's right, S-Rank Missions are for experienced and seasoned Jōnin, alone, as well as the Anbu. They're also the most dangerous missions as most of the time they concern state-level confidential matters, assassinating VIPs, and transporting highly classified documents, sometimes even having Ninja infiltrate other villages or nations, even a rare few that require Ninja to travel outside the Elemental Nations. These are missions where fighting isn't only expected, but there's also a high chance of Ninja dying on them." Mikoto explained before looking at Naruto with a serious expression.

"But never forget this, no matter what rank a mission has, there is always the chance something can go wrong. A simple D-Rank Mission, like finding a lost pet, could easily turn into an S-Rank Mission to stop a planned attack or facing off against Missing-Nin. So, regardless of the mission you're on, the most important thing is to be prepared for anything and expect everything to go wrong." Said Mikoto, making the Uzumaki gulp, feeling nervous at the idea of how easily a simple mission could turn deadly.

Before looking at Mikoto when she smiled and put a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm not saying this to scare you or anything, Naruto. But to make sure you understand how important being prepared is, as you never know when something will happen. That doesn't mean you should be wary and paranoid of every little thing that goes wrong, just that you know that something may happen." Mikoto added, wanting to make sure her godson was aware of the dangers that'll come with taking missions, no matter how simple they may be.

"R-right, I understand. So, um…how long will we be working around the compound, today?" Naruto asked.

"A couple hours at most, so we'll begin training in the afternoon. Possibly an hour or two after lunch." Replied Mikoto, with Naruto nodding at this, glad to know when they'll be getting back to training.

*Later*

After finishing their breakfast, Naruto and Mikoto had gotten to work on cleaning up the compound and fixing anything that was broken. With the two having started with the gardening first, something that Naruto actually enjoyed doing. Having always liked watering and tending to plants, but never getting the chance to have any of his own. Something that Mikoto had noticed, seeing how her godson looked to enjoy working in the garden before making a mental note to get some more plants, later.

Once they'd finished with the gardens and plants, they moved onto working on some of the houses with Mikoto making some Shadow Clones to help with the process. Something that Naruto was thankful for, given how some of the houses needed more work than others.

Though the Uzumaki had been happy when Mikoto helped pass the time by telling him more about his parents, what they were like when off-duty, as well as what they were like in the Academy. With Naruto having enjoyed hearing about some of the pranks his mother had performed. While his father was known to get lost in his own thoughts whenever he started working on a new Jutsu or studying new seals, as well as how he tended to create long and complicated names for his techniques. The whiskered blonde enjoying the chance to learn more about who his parents were than just how they're remembered, at least how his father is remembered.

It wasn't long before the afternoon came, with them returning to Mikoto's home for lunch before the ravenette sent Naruto to the training field while she grabbed some things. With Naruto arriving at the training ground and doing some light exercises as he was waiting for Mikoto's arrival. The Uchiha Matriarch arriving after a few moments.

"Alright, I have some things that should help with your training, Naruto." Mikoto said with a smile while Naruto looked at her in confusion, seeing she was wearing different clothes, rather than her usual ones.

With Mikoto now wearing a high-collared purple-grey mantle with the Uchiha symbol on the back, that was split down the middle with a zipper that started at her waist and went up to her collarbone, leaving the rest unzipped, and a white belt around her waist. With Naruto only being able to see that she was also wearing black Ninja sandals and what looked like fingerless black gloves.

"Why did you change your clothes?" Naruto asked, not sure why she felt the need to wear something different.

"This is, actually, my mission attire. I figured it'd be better to wear this for training since it's also more durable than what I usually wear. Now, here, put these on." Replied Mikoto before tossing a Storage Scroll at Naruto, with him catching it and looked at it curiously.

Opening the scroll, Naruto saw it release a cloud of smoke to reveal four gold colored rings that looked big enough to fit around his wrists and ankles.

"What're these?" Naruto asked, grabbing one of the rings.

"They're special training weights that Kushina created. They have seals on them, that let the wearer set them to a certain amount of weight with them being activated by channeling Chakra into them. You can also increase the amount they weigh once you get used to the previous weight. I've already set each of them to five pounds each, which seems like a good start for you." Mikoto explained, much to Naruto's amazement before he put the rings on.

Once they were all on, Naruto channeled Chakra into them, grunting and stumbling a little at the sudden weight on his arms and legs. The whiskered blonde taking a few moments to get used to them before looking at Mikoto, who nodded in approval at seeing he was getting used to the added weight.

"Now I expect you to wear these whenever we're training or working around the compound, since it'll help you build up your strength, speed, and agility. And once you get used to the weight, add an additional five pounds to them, but make sure you don't increase the weight too quickly otherwise they'll do more harm than good. Though you don't have to wear them all the time, you can take them off when you're eating, bathing, and sleeping, as well as taking them off once you're a Genin and start doing missions since you'll want to be at your best when out of the village. Understand." Said Mikoto, with Naruto nodding in response.

"Yes, Mikoto-sensei." Naruto replied, making the ravenette smile.

"Great. Now for today, we'll be working on refining your Taijutsu and Genjutsu, to which I'll also randomly cast some on you to work on your ability to spot them, while increasing their complexity each time you succeed in breaking them, as well as your Chakra Control. We'll also begin on having you learn the Shunshin Jutsu and the Grand Fireball Jutsu, plus, looking into other ways you can use the techniques you already know. And finally we'll be sparring again, as well as sparring after every day of training to see how much you've improved and which areas will need more focus for the next day of training." Mikoto said, with Naruto smiling in excitement and eagerness at hearing what they'll be doing.

"I'm ready to get started sensei!" Said Naruto, making Mikoto smile at his enthusiasm.

"Then let's begin." Stated Mikoto, only for the Uzumaki to be confused when she removed her belt and unzipped her mantle.

"What're you-" Naruto asked, only to freeze and blush in embarrassment when Mikoto removed her mantle, revealing her attire underneath.

The Uchiha Matriarch was wearing thigh-length black stockings, black arm-sleeves that covered her hands, leaving only her fingers exposed, and went up past her elbows. As well as a black, skin-tight, sleeveless leotard with a zipper up the front with her upper back being left exposed.

Naruto blushed brightly at Mikoto's attire, given how tight it all was and left little to the imagination.

"Wh-wh-wha-what is that?!" Naruto said in shock and embarrassment, wondering why she's wearing that and why she took her mantle off.

"I told you, it's my mission attire and think of it as another part of your training." Said Mikoto smiling in amusement at his expression.

"Tr-tr-tra-tr-tra-trai-training?" Stuttered Naruto, the ravenette nodding in response.

"Yes. One thing to expect from Kunoichi, whether allies or enemies, is that what they're wearing can be just as deadly as any weapon. Making it a good means of distracting our enemies by wearing something either revealing or tight-fitting, leading to them becoming distract and dropping their guard, giving Kunoichi an opening to take them out." Mikoto explained before motioning to herself.

"This is no different and I'll also be wearing it during our training to help you work on building up a resistance to such tactics." Said Mikoto, with Naruto nodding shakily while trying to force his blush down.

"O-o-ok-ok-okay, se-se-se-sensei." Said Naruto while trying to keep himself from looking Mikoto up and down, the Uchiha Matriarch's amusement growing at seeing this.

"Don't worry, if it gets too much I'll put the cloak back…unless, you prefer it like this Naruto." Mikoto said teasingly, causing Naruto to blush again, with the ravenette giggling at the sight before the two soon got started on his training.

*Timeskip-One Day*

"See you, Mikoto-sensei, and thank you again for everything." Naruto said, smiling and bowing towards the ravenette, which Mikoto returned along with giving him a short hug.

"I'm happy I could help, Naruto, both with your training and telling you everything." Replied Mikoto as they stood by the exit of the Uchiha Compound.

The two having spent the rest of yesterday training, with Naruto having managed to make some good progress in improving his Taijutsu, being able to detect and dispel Genjutsu, and working on his Ninjutsu. With him having started getting the hang of the Shunshin Jutsu due to his previous training in improving his speed. While the Grand Fireball Jutsu proved to be more complicated, having nearly burned his mouth the first few times performing it.

"Though make sure you continue practicing everything I've taught you and working on everything else, you already know. I don't want to find out you've been slacking off." Mikoto said sternly, with the Uzumaki nodding at her words.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure to keep practicing everything every day and I'll have the Shunshin and Grand Fireball Jutsu mastered in no time!" Naruto said, making the ravenette smile.

"I'm sure you will, though make sure to also take breaks every now and then so you don't overwork yourself. Also, I'm going to be out on a mission for a few days, I'll be sure to contact you when I return and whenever I'm in the village, so you know when I'm available to continue your training." Said Mikoto, knowing she won't be able to help him all the time and wanted to make sure her godson didn't get into trouble, entering the Uchiha Compound when she isn't in the village

"Okay, Mikoto-sensei. See you later, then!" Naruto replied before exiting the compound, waving to Mikoto which she returned.

Once he was out of sight, Naruto used the Transformation Jutsu and turned into a falcon, flying straight back to his apartment. Both, because it was quicker than walking and to avoid anyone seeing him walking away from the Uchiha Compound.

After arriving, Naruto quickly got changed into his regular clothes and made his way to the Academy, luckily arriving before Iruka and Mizuki, the newest teacher, showed up.

"Actually deciding to show up for once, Naruto. Here I thought you'd decide to skip again." Said Shikamaru, looking up from the desk, with Naruto smirking at the Nara as he went over and sat with Shikamaru, Chōji, Kiba and Akamaru.

The latter two having joined their little group a few weeks ago, after an incident involving Hibachi and his friends. With it having involved a prank going wrong when Hibachi and his friends tried getting back at Naruto for humiliating him in their sparring match. Only for Kiba and Akamaru to change their minds once they started seeing how far the prank was going. Seeing that it wasn't just going to humiliate Naruto, but potentially seriously injure not just him, but Shikamaru and Chōji as well, if not actually kill them.

Leading to a scuffle when Kiba tried leaving to warn them, only for Hibachi and his friends to stop him, which inadvertently triggered the prank. In turn, getting the attention of Naruto, Shikamaru, and Chōji with Shikamaru and Chōji helping Kiba and Akamaru before they were hurt, while the whiskered blonde dealt with Hibachi and his crew.

Something that still made Naruto laugh, when Hibachi believed they'd actually be able to beat him just because they had the numbers, even after how easily he beat Hibachi in their sparring match. Which also showed him how pathetic he was, if he needed his crew to gang up on him to win. Only for Naruto to still manage to kick all of their asses and, figuratively, buried their heads in the ground. With the Uzumaki having been even more brutal to them after learning what they planned to do.

Though this did lead to some problems, as unlike with his spar against Hibachi, the fight happened out in the village streets where dozens of people saw what happened. With Hibachi having tried making him and his friends out as the victims, only for Shikamaru, Chōji, and Kiba to intervene and defend Naruto. Leading to the incident being brought to the Hokage, given that three Clan Heirs were involved, resulting in Hibachi and his crew being expelled from the Academy for endangering four students, three of which being from prominent clans.

With it also leading to Kiba and Akamaru joining their group, given how quickly Hibachi and his friends turned on them, and with the trio coming to their defense.

"Eh, I figured I could use a break and Iruka's lectures are the perfect thing to put me to sleep." Naruto said, making Chōji and Kiba laugh, while Shikamaru sighed though he did have a small smirk.

"Don't let Iruka-sensei hear that, he seems to really like giving you detentions." Chōji said while eating his chips, Naruto simply shrugging.

"And he seems to really believe I'll actually stay for any of them." Stated Naruto, having lost count of how many times Iruka's given him detention, and he didn't stay for a single one.

"Ah man! I wish I could ditch the Academy, but Kaa-san and Hana would kill me if they learned I wasn't showing up! But just imagine all the training we could get done, Akamaru!" Kiba said, looking at his partner, with Akamaru barking in agreement.

"Who knows, maybe they'll only be mad if you get caught." Naruto suggested, causing the Inuzuka Heir to perk up at the idea.

"That might work, it helps that if I'm caught, I'll just tell them you gave me the idea." Said Kiba with a smirk, with the whiskered blonde shrugging again.

"If they'll be able to find me, leaving just you to deal with them." Said Naruto, smirking while Kiba's smirk vanished, knowing how Naruto was good at hiding and disappearing when he wanted to.

Though Naruto looked around the classroom when he felt eyes on him, only to be confused when he saw several girls looking at him, only to quickly look away with red faces.

'Why do they keep doing that?' Naruto thought, not understanding why most of the girls in the Academy seemed to always stare at him.

Having only noticed it after his spar against Hibachi, with it becoming more common after his fight against Hibachi and his crew. But whenever he tried asking any of them why they were staring, they'd just suddenly run away, giggling or squealing for some reason.

'Maybe I could ask Mikoto-sensei.' Thought Naruto, hoping that Mikoto would know why girls kept acting weird around him.

Before everyone's attention turned to the door when Iruka and Mizuki entered the classroom, the former instantly narrowing his eyes at Naruto after spotting him.

"Naruto, how nice of you to join us for once. Are you actually going to make an effort to pay attention?" Iruka said, with the Uzumaki looking at him boredly.

"I don't know, are you going to make an effort to give an interesting lesson? If not, give me a moment to find a good sleeping position." Said Naruto, getting some snickers and quiet laughs from several students, while Iruka scowled but bit his tongue from retorting.

Given how he'd gotten into trouble with the Hokage after constantly giving Naruto detentions, which he never showed up for anyway, for anything he could think of. Even removing him from class when he started getting tired of the Jinchūriki and his constant disrespect. Only for Naruto, and a few parents that didn't have a problem with him, to report the Chūnin to the Hokage for his unfair treatment. Leading to the Sandaime giving Iruka a warning about treating Naruto unfairly or else he'd be removed from the Academy and replaced with someone who treated all their students fairly.

Shaking his head, Iruka merely grunted in response to Naruto's words before he began the day's lesson, while mentally counting down the days to when the Uzumaki wouldn't be his problem anymore.

*Later*

It wasn't long before class ended for lunch, with Naruto, Shikamaru, Chōji and Kiba going outside to eat, where Naruto told them about some of his new training. Though left out the part of him breaking into the Uchiha Compound and meeting Mikoto, as well as everything she told him and her helping with his training. Instead, just telling them that he saw some Chūnin training and is working on recreating Jutsu he'd seen them use.

Though Naruto had soon noticed Sasuke leaning against a railing, eating his own lunch, before deciding to approach the Uchiha Heir. Given how after spending the last two days with Mikoto, Naruto thought he could try to befriend Sasuke.

"Hey, Sasuke." Naruto said after reaching the Uchiha, with Sasuke only giving him a glance before returning to his lunch and looking out across the village.

Frowning at the silent dismissal, Naruto jumped on top of the railing and sat on, making the Uchiha look at him in annoyance before looking away again.

"Oi! I'm talking to you, don't just ignore me!" Said Naruto, waving a hand in front of Sasuke's face, annoying the ravenette even further.

"What?!" Said Sasuke while smacking the whiskered blondes hand away.

"Oh, so you can talk. Here I was starting to think you only spoke in grunts and angry scowls." Naruto said with a smirk, causing Sasuke to scowl at him before turning to walk away.

"If you're just here to annoy me, then I'll find somewhere I can eat in peace." Sasuke retorted, refusing to deal with his annoying classmate.

"I was going to ask if you wanted to join us." Said Naruto, the Uchiha Heir pausing slightly at this before looking back at him with a frown.

"What?" Sasuke asked, not believing what he just heard.

"I said, I was gonna ask if you wanted to join us. You're always sitting by yourself in class and during lunch, then you leave by yourself and don't do anything. I thought you'd want hangout with me, Shikamaru, Chōji, and Kiba sometime. Or at the very least sit with us during class and eat lunch with us, it'd be better than being by yourself all the time." Naruto replied, with Sasuke's frown deepening at this while glancing at where the Nara, Akimichi, and Inuzuka Heirs were all sitting, before turning back to the Uzumaki.

"Thanks…but I'm not interested." Said Sasuke before leaving without another word, Naruto frowning at this before sighing and shaking his head.

'Can't say I never tried.' Naruto thought before jumping off the railing and went to rejoin the others, doubting that Sasuke would change his mind anytime soon about hanging out with them, but will still try to reach out to him when he has the chance.

The Uzumaki's mind then turned towards his training, intending to head to the Zeroth Training Ground after the Academy got out. Wanting to master the Jutsu and Chakra Control Exercises that Mikoto had taught him as soon as possible.

'And once I have them mastered, I'll be moving to Training Ground Forty-Four.' Thought Naruto, believing that the Zeroth Training Ground has already helped him with training as much as it could.

Now he was hoping to really test himself, and the best way to do that would be to start training in the Forest of Death.

So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Naruto waking up in Mikoto's home and soon remembers everything that happens, before going downstairs where Mikoto is making breakfast for them. With Naruto getting cleaned up and dressed before they sit down, with Mikoto going over everything they'll be doing today, which includes work around the compound, leading to her also explaining the different types of missions Naruto will be taking once he becomes a Genin and starts advancing through the ranks. Then we see the beginning of Naruto's training with Mikoto giving him some weights to wear to improve his strength, speed, and agility, along with revealing her mission attire (for a better look just google search "Mikoto Uchiha" and it should be the third image in the top row of google images), which will also be used in Naruto's training to help him resist seduction tactics from enemy Kunoichi.

Then we get a small timeskip to the next day where Naruto and Mikoto exchange goodbyes, with Mikoto leaving on a mission for a few days and will contact Naruto when she's in the village. While Naruto returns to his apartment before going to the Academy, where it's revealed that Kiba and Akamaru have joined their group after Hibachi and his crew tried taking a prank too far in retaliation against Naruto beating Hibachi in their spar, leading to them also being expelled from the Academy. We also see that Naruto and Iruka really don't get along, with the latter having received a warning from the Hokage of treating Naruto unfairly.

Finally we see Naruto approaching Sasuke during lunch to try and befriend him, after spending the past two days with Mikoto, only for Sasuke to refuse the offer. With Naruto still planning to try whenever he has the opportunity before going over his training and plans to move to the Forest of Death after mastering the Shunshin and Grand Fireball Jutsu. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story. But thanks for giving the story a chance anyway.
