It's been months since Spencer met the Winchesters and their odd companion in a sleazy motel in Virginia. Things have changed at the BAU, and Spencer isn't handling it very well, so he hits the road to find himself; along the way, he finds a familiar bartender calling himself Keith and looking like his world just ended. When the Winchesters find an Agent Reid detoxing in a motel, Sam immediately decides they have to help. Not because he identifies, because he definitely hasn't been drinking demon blood again, but because... just because. So, Dean uses Spencer's cell phone to call a friend, Sam does his best to help Spencer, and Castiel wonders if Sam will admit what the angel already knows.

After spending close to a month in Utah, Victor Henriksen finally leaves, and the Winchesters come to attend Hannah and Johnny's wedding.
