Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any of its associated characters: all rights belong to JK Rowling. I do not own any crossover references used in the story: all rights belong to their original creators. I do own any OC spells explained at the end of a chapter.
Plot: Dumbledore may be daft or dangerous. Bellatrix Lestrange might be the stuff of nightmares. Voldemort might make you flinch when you say his name. but, compared to Harry James Potter, they're Freddie First-Years.
Author's Note: So, this is just a self-indulgent piece of madness that I'm making up as I go along.

Prologue: Bloodthirsty
Darkness.
Oh, how he loved the Darkness.
Darkness swallowed up everything around it, except for when the cruel, unwanted intrusions of Light made everything shinier, keeping the monsters at bay and giving these simple meat sacks their freedom from fears, nightmares and things they only discussed in hushed whispers.
Well, almost all the fears, nightmares and things in hushed whispers.
He, on the other hand, was not thwarted by the Light.
He was hungry.
Ravenous, even.
And now, in Darkness, he would feed!
Madness
Getting to freedom was a simple affair.
Moving through the Darkness, swiftly, silently and with no such fears of being discovered was pretty easy; hell, it seemed to get easier every time he did it, but that was what made it fun.
Slithering out through the shadows, he followed his appetite, letting his hunger guide him as he moved through the shadows, dancing around the Light as it tried to keep him at bay. He could smell it, just ahead.
A ripe little soul.
A perfect appetiser for his dinner.
Licking his lips, he moved towards the source of the deliciousness, letting himself be drawn in by its sweet scent, its warm nourishment and the feast that it offered. Tiptoeing through the shadows, he found it almost too easy to draw his weapon, waiting for the opportune time to come.
He could feel it.
He could see it.
He could TASTE it!
Up ahead, his dinner stopped, looking around warily before it turned to face him.
When it did, he saw its eyes widen in horror before it spoke.
One word.
Just one word.
"Harry?"
Blood.
Sweet, delicious, appetising, calming blood splashed everywhere as he made his move, watching as his prey hit the ground, its body twitching and its eyes looking up at him in fear, terror, pain, pity and disbelief.
And as he looked back at it, he bent down, dipping his weapon in the blood before, lifting it to his lips, he suckled on his weapon like a lollipop before, laughing coldly, he bent down and lapped at the blood like a dog, letting it flow into him, nourishing him, claiming him as it often did.
Licking his lips, he rubbed his belly as he looked down at the prey.
"Thank you, Ginny…you were so good…such a lovely little snack…now, you can rest forever in my stomach…"
Then, the screaming started…
Madness
In Gryffindor Tower, Harry James Potter snapped his eyes open, letting his mind and body return to the physical, before he groaned as he tasted blood – his own blood – on his tongue.
'Damnit…another fucking dream!' thought the emerald-eyed scion, lifting himself up before he growled darkly.
'At least this time it was the stalker bitch…but when can I make good on my dreams? I've been a good boy for so long…why can't I eat? Why can't Death give me back what Voldemort stole from me?'
"Harry!"
Looking up from his musings, Harry saw Ronald Weasley looking at him in horror, earning a frown from Harry.
"What's up with you, Flesh?" asked Harry icily, earning a shudder from Ron as he answered him.
"It…it's Ginny; they say she's been taken into the Chamber! Please! We…we have to find her!"
So…are we confused yet?
I know I am and I'm writing it: still, what's Harry's story?
What made him take a long, running jump that would have beaten even Superman off the deep end?
What will he do to have his hunger sated and, if he's so evil, how is he still at Hogwarts, let alone with the Gryffindors?

Next Chapter: To go forwards, we must first go back…back to the darkest night in magical history, and the birth of a monster, greater and more-terrible than any other before him!
