Welcome readers!
I hope you all enjoy my work, Professor Tohsaka. It is a story that follows Unlimited Blade Works Good/True End Rin becoming Zelretch's apprentice and one of her experiments throws her into the Harry Potter universe.

Chapter One "Rin Tohsaka"
I was looking through the daily news of the newspaper I had grabbed.
It was still very hard to believe despite three years having already passed that I was living on a very different Earth from the one I was familiar with. Well the magical side that is. This world's normal human inhabitants, called Muggles in this world, were eerily similar to mine. Some of the most recent influential events such as the Fall of the Soviet Union and the last vestiges of the British Empire declaring or giving independence were just a few examples of the non-magical world history of mine that matched the Muggle history of this world.
The magical society, or Wizarding World (Wizardkind) as this world's magical society liked to call themselves, was vastly different in many ways to the Moonlit World. First was how more regulated and enforced the laws were. In the moonlit world, you could get away with many things as long as you had the resources and influence as long as you didn't break the golden rule, to never let the secret of the supernatural be revealed to regular people. The wizarding world was incredibly similar to how just about everything was regulated and unlikely you were to get away with crimes, at least compared to the moonlit world.
One of the most obvious modern examples between the wizarding and moonlit world was the organizations that controlled Earth. The Mage's Association and Holy Church were the two most predominant powers in the Moonlit World; one protecting the interests of most mages while the Holy Church represented not just the Catholic Church, but many other branches worshiping the Biblical God. Their counterparts in the Wizarding World were vastly different. The wizarding world equivalent of the Mage's Association didn't exist; it was more similar to the various democratic, autocratic and other forms of government of the muggle world organized along the lines of national identity. The Holy Church's counterpart did exist, but it had little to no actual influence to create great changes on the wizarding world.
I stopped myself from letting my mind compare the Wizarding and Moonlit worlds. The comparisons were endless if I was nitpicky about it, enough to write hundreds of pages long doctoral thesis.
"Actually, I might do that. It would be an interesting project to do, and something I might do when I return home." I muttered as I continued to scan through the headlines in the newspaper.
My peaceful and quiet time was interrupted with Ereshkigal's presence appearing in my mind.
"Hey, Rin!" said Ereshkigal. "There is a wraith that needs to be dealt with."
The newspaper slightly crumpled as my grip tightened before loosening. I let out a sigh as I put down the newspaper to look at the person that had likely caught Ereshkigal's attention. If it was another harmless or petty wraith or ghost then I was not going to spend my morning exorcising another spirit.
I quickly found the individual. It was a young man with pale white skin. He wore robes that seemed the current trend amongst the wizardkind, magic users of this world. The purple turban drew my eye. I might not know what was lying underneath, but thanks to Ereshkigal's abilities, which I gained in exchange for carrying some of her divine duties and providing entertainment, I found a wraith. A very dangerous and one that had caused many deaths from what I could see using Ereshkigal's abilities.
"Hey, it's getting boring how you have been dispatching spirits these days. How about a more flashy method?" asked Ishtar as she entered my mind.
For a moment, I wondered how Ishtar was going to deal with the wraith. I could get all the help I could get when I didn't want to deal with a spirit so early in the day. My curiosity changed when I heard the cute squeaking, oinking and grunting of a familiar creature. I stared in disbelief at a small light black skinned pig with blue horns, four spine protrusions, and two golden colored stripes, not much bigger than my foot, that had materialized on my lap.
"Are you insane, Ishtar!?" I screamed in disbelief. "Why are you sending Gugalanna, the Bull of Heaven, the greatest of Divine Beasts in Mesopotamian Mythology, to deal with a wraith? This is like using a nuke on a rat!"
"Cause it is fun?" replied Ishtar with a giggle, "Of course, my cute Gugalanna would never use even a millionth of its power to deal with the wraith."
I felt a terrible headache coming as I grabbed my temple with my right hand. A millionth of Gugalanna's power was still devastating. Just appearing in its true form was enough to bring about a flood and dark clouds that covered the world, causing a seven-year famine and destruction to occur on earth. Even in its current cute and restrained form, a millionth of Gugalanna's power was enough to level an entire city block if it decided to fight.
Sometimes, I wondered if it was worth burrowing the powers of gods if I had to deal with goddesses' requests. I had spent a great deal of the last three years dealing with the deceased human souls and spirits at Ereshkigal's beckoning, the twin goddesses' curiosity about the modern world and their constant demand for entertainment. Time that I could have been better spent on finding magic and artifacts that might help me get back to my Earth.
I mentally slapped myself. Without Ishtar's and Ereshkigal's help then the current progress I had made in the last three years wouldn't have been possible in the first place. It would have likely taken me a decade to replicate the same amount of progress, maybe even more if not for the assistance and connections of those that the goddesses' still possessed in the modern era.
There was also another part that I would never admit to the twin goddesses, who I had once been fused with physically and mentally, that I would have felt isolated and homesick in a completely different Earth from mine. I likely would have fallen into depression for a long time without any familiar faces.
Letting out a troubled sigh, I lifted Gugalanna off my lap and placed it down onto the floor. "Don't cause any trouble, okay Guga? I will be very angry and not give you the tasty treats that you enjoy." I scolded the disguised Divine Beast.
Gugalanna, or as I called Guga as a pet name to avoid bringing possible attention to the disguised pig by using its true name, glared at me and oinked angrily, but otherwise didn't do anything much. It was hard to imagine that it was a powerful beast that put most nuclear weapons to shame. I left imagining the tantrum it unleashed when Gugalanna had first adopted its disguised form as a pig and the trials I had to go through until I tamed the Divine Beast.
"Let me deal with it." I grumbled as I got up and started to make my way to the wraith-possessed man. "I will make the exorcism flashier than usual for your entertainment."
With a click of my fingers, several gems that had been stored inside a spatial pouch on my belt came out. They floated, circling around my body as they lit up. Magical energy that had been stored inside them hummed to life as they activated the magic spells I had imbued inside.
The wizards and witches inside the bar stopped whatever they were doing and stared at my magical gems in wonder. Only a few of them, likely those with some combat experience or sharp instincts, felt a sense of danger. If they tried to do anything, it was too late. My gem's magical spells activated and shot towards my target.
Faster than the purple turban wizard could react, there was a blinding light and loud noise that forced his eyes shut and ears to ring. He just recovered in time to see the gems surrounding him. Magical energy flared as a circle and a pentagram formed with him inside. The wizard looked around in confusion before he started screaming, clutching the back of his head.
The purple turban became undone as the fabric lit up and flames formed, quickly burning away to reveal a sight that I didn't expect to see. I saw what looked like a human face on the back of my target's head.
"In the name of Ereshkigal, return to the afterlife where you belong! I command you to leave the world of the living at once!" I chanted in ancient Akkadian to activate the magic ritual that I had prepared with the many magic gems to deal with ghosts and wraiths.
'ARGH!" screamed the wizard in agony. "My lord, please do something! The pain is too much."
"Fool! Don't just stand there and do nothing. It is just a little pain, that's all." The face on the wizard's back shouted. "Draw your wand and take out the witch."
The wizard tried to reach for his wand, but he collapsed as he lost his balance with the loud noise interfering with his inner ears to work properly. The wand was drawn with great difficulty. He tried to aim. Pulsating light in conjunction with the noise made aiming a daunting task. Light gathered at his wand as the wizard prepared to fire off shots despite how unlikely his magic spells were going to hit.
Yet, it was useless at this point.
I finished the last of my incantation that was stylized similar to a prayer that Ereshkigal's priests would have used to call upon her power. The magic ritual completed leading to the purification process to start. Magical energy pooled into the glowing circle and pentagram that acted as anchors and foci. Spiritual matter penetrated into the wizard's soul and burned away. The holy flames torching away at the soul the more sins that one committed in life.
The wizard screamed as his soul and mind was burned, but I witnessed a faint and growing separation of the face embedded on the back of his head. A grunt to resist the pain turned to an unholy shrill as the face was ripped from its host body.
"You! You will pay for this witch!" The face, transforming into a translucent robed figure, threatened as it floated towards me.
It was a surprise for me to see the tell-tale signs of a glowing orb forming at the wraith's right index finger. I had encountered the magic spell that the wraith was going to use too many times to know what it was. Without a doubt, it was the Killing Curse. A very efficient magic spell designed to kill humans, the most effective one I had seen from this world, but not as capable as the more potent magic spells I knew from my world.
I pointed my right hand like I was holding a pistol and fired. Countless black orbs, nearly matching the fire rate of a machine gun rained upon the wraith. It recoiled and screamed in agony, but I was surprised that wraith still maintained its concentration to scream, "Avada Kedavra," and fire the iconic green light of the Killing Curse at me.
A single Gandr shot was more than enough to cancel out the Killing Curse.
My Gandr Shot might have overpowered the Killing Curse, but I didn't look down upon it. In terms of pure killing power against humans, the Killing Curse was hands down more efficient in terms of magical energy cost compared to my Gandr Shot. The advantage of Gandr Shot lay in its versatility on how much control I had over the magic spell when it hit. For example, Gandr Shot could incapacite a individual without causing any injuries to upping up the destructive potential to rival a shot from an anti-material rifle by simply increasing the magical energy consumption of the Gandr Shot.
The Gandr Shots hit the wraith, injuring it so much that it was no longer able to fight or resist my banishing magic ritual.
"This is not the last time you see me, Lord Voldemort!" It screamed one last time before it let loose a howl as the ethereal being exploded.
"You-Know-Who!"
"The Dark Lord isn't dead?!"
"Dear Merlin, are we no longer safe then?"
"Someone call the police! We need the police here!"
Fear and panic gripped the room as wizards and witches, no matter the age, started to lose their collective minds. I was shocked to find that people started to run and those that had tripped were being trampled over. It seemed whoever the wraith had been in life, they induced so much fear that the wizards and witches lost their rationality immediately.
I rushed to the nearest person that was on the ground to help them up and treat them for wounds.
- O -
"Drop your wands! Hands in the air!" The magical police shouted as they arrived on the scene.
Wands drawn and using them like how the Muggle police might with their pistols, they entered the pub considering everyone as a potential threat until it was obvious the people inside were harmless by the wands on the ground with their hands held up high in the air.
"Where is your wand? Why isn't your hand in the air?" demanded one female officer as she approached me with a drawn wand.
I took a deep breath to fight against venting my frustration. "I am trying to keep this man alive so please don't distract me." I snapped while trying to keep a man that had been trampled. Many of his organs suffered moderate to severe damage. The two most important organs to his immediate survival, his lungs and heart having taken a beating that should have failed a long time ago if it wasn't for my constant application of healing magic.
"Slowly put your hands away from the injured man!" The same tense officer shouted.
"Look, I am trying to keep this man alive. He might die if I stop healing him!" I shouted, hoping that a calmer officer might notice to deal with what seemed like an inexperienced officer.
"Slya! What are you doing?! She is healing a critically injured man." An older and calmer officer screamed as she swatted away her more nervous and younger colleague's wand away from my direction. "Medic! Get the medics over here ASAP! We have a critically injured man that might die if we don't get medical attention here right now!"
Several wizards and witches rushed to me. Their medical uniforms and the universal red cross on their clothes. Three of them immediately worked in aiding my current patient and the rest went on treating the other patients I had tried my best to heal until the emergency responders could arrive.
"What is the man's condition?" asked a paramedic.
"He suffered moderate to severe wounds to multiple organs. His heart and lungs took the most damage. I have been trying to keep them from failing by constantly healing them." I quickly explained then I reported other details the medical personnel would find useful in their duties.
The medic in charge of my former patient nodded. "Thank you. We will handle it from now. You have saved this man's life." Without saying anymore, he joined his fellow medics in treating the injured wizard.
"Could you explain the condition of this patient...?" Another medic approached me and asked.
I responded as shortly and precise as I could. Following the medic, several more medics, treating the other wounded wizards and witches I had treated for serious injuries, came up to me. It was not long before each medic returned to their patients and with the information I provided.
"You were very courageous in risking your life to helping the injured when in the chaos and pandemonium you could have gotten hurt yourself," said a woman approaching the end of middle age, who by her age and how the other medics treated her seemed to one in charge, in a calm and grateful tone. She bowed her head to me. "On my behalf of those that you saved, I thank you for your service."
I blushed and quickly replied, "There is no need to thank me." I waved my hand. "I did just what any good samaritan would do."
An exhausted sigh came out from my lips as I finally had some breathing space to relax. I took some time to relax before turning to the dead bodies of those I hadn't been able to save filled with some regret. If I had really pushed myself to the limit then I could have saved most of them, potentially all of them if I had relied either on Ishtar's or Ereshkigal's powers.
I quickly banished any regret from my mind. That would have only drawn attention to myself, the bad kind, which could lead to a series of events where I could suffer physical, mental or spiritual harm. My knowledge and abilities came from another world, many of them considered Dark Magic or forbidden/taboo. The last thing I wanted to do was be on the run being labeled a very dangerous Dark Witch like a Sealing Designation of my world.
I might have been influenced by my husband to risk my life to save others, but there was a limit on how much I was willing to risk my safety for a random stranger that I didn't know. If Shirou was around that might have been different though. Many times in the past, I would be infected with the same drive to help as many people as possible, no matter the possible danger or consequences. Although, those cares had become rarer as I fulfilled my promise to EMIYA about looking after Shirou that Shirou had started to be less self-driven by his Survivor's Guilt to help others.
"You made quite a lot of progress on that front," said Ereshkigal.
"A Lot of progress is an understatement," added Ishtar in a deadpan tone. "Shirou's Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works, has started to change. It can now copy and replicate Mystic Codes and Noble Phantasms with healing properties with some limited success. Although, it would cost five times the magical energy compared to a weapon-type Mystic Code and Noble Phantasm of the same rank."
A smile grew on my face as I recalled the basic plant life that had started to grow in my husband's Reality Marble. There was still a lot of progress before I could stop Shirou from throwing himself into danger mindlessly to save others.
"Natasha, is the young lady still required for treating the injured?" asked a police officer that walked towards me, snapping me out of my musing.
"No," the medic in charge shook her head. "Why do you ask?"
"I really find it hard to believe, but several witnesses claim that the young lady committed murder."
"What? I assure you this young lady isn't the type to murder anyone."
"I agree, but I need to follow protocol. We need to interrogate her when there is a dead man and several witnesses claiming she is a murderer."
My brow shot up as I listened to the conversation. I did not recall killing anyone, at least for several months in self-defense. Who could have died? And why was several people claiming that I murdered someone? Was this a conspiracy by one of the many wizards and witches I had offended with my research publications or magical achievements?
"May I ask who is dead for me to considered a murder suspect?" I asked while approaching the police officer.
"The wizard that you conducted the magic ritual on is dead. No breathing, heartbeat or brain activity has been detected since we arrived at the scene."
Oh! I think I know what is going on now. I noted. "May I inspect the body? I am a fully certified medic and healer." I took out several legal documents that showed I had required medical training. "I am also a certified exorcist that tried to exorcise a dangerous spirit inhabiting the man. He shouldn't be dead, but suffering from physical and mental exhaustion."
"Natasha?"
"She certainly has the skills she claims and those documents seem legitimate."
"Fine... You can examine the body, but my colleagues and I will be watching for any signs of tampering with the evidence."
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "Understood." I nodded. "Can I get a pair of medical gloves please?"
The chief medic, Natasha, clicked her fingers and a pair of green medical gloves flew to her hands. I was surprised by the act. Wandless magic was very rare, a testament of the high level of magical skill in this world, which was the opposite of my world where wandless magecraft was a common thing.
I gracefully took the medical gloves and, under the careful eye of the police officer, approached where I last remembered the man I had exorcised had been. More watchful eyes fell upon me, but I ignored them as I found the corpse.
"Can I approach the body now?" I asked, turning to the officer that had consented earlier.
The officer nodded and started to explain to his colleagues. It was only after I received the go ahead that I approached the body and carefully inspected it.
I was surprised by the damage I had done. The simple magic ritual should have only caused severe physical and mentally exhaustion. What I saw from the corpse showed that the wraith I had banished had been more entwined with the deceased man than I had thought. Just in case, I might have missed a clue, I carefully investigated the corpse again to no avail.
"Have you finished with your inspection?"
"Yes, I have." I sighed as I carefully got away from the corpse to not touch anything that might be considered as evidence so I didn't get charged with evidence tampering.
"Please come this way, madam. Some Aurors would like to interview you."
- O -
I was interviewed for several minutes in a corner with many of the police officers standing at guard, vigilantly watching my every action as if I might escape at any given moment.
"Madam," said a witch wearing the uniform of an Auror, "can you please explain once more what you were doing?"
I sighed as I tried to stop myself from expressing my frustration. Normally, I should have been treated like a hero in my role in saving the lives of the critically wounded, but given that someone might have reported my actions for murder I was treated as a potential killer.
"Look," I said as I drew out my identity papers for the second time. "I am a fully trained and registered exorcist in dealing with spirits. As I had been trained and according to established protocol dealing with dangerous spirits, I acted as soon as possible to deal with a potential threat that endangered the public. This wraith I dealt with possessed threat level on the very dangerous Dark Wizard or Witch"
"We have written down what you have, but that doesn't explain why there is a dead wizard." The Auror inquired as she pointed to the white blanket now covering the dead wizard, who had contained the wraith I had exorcised.
"I never intended to kill him," I admitted for the second time. "My exorcism is designed to expel any evil spirits like a wraith from a possessed individual and send them to the afterlife where they belong. Unfortunately, the wizard's body and soul had been too entwined with the wraith to survive the separation process."
"What you committed was unintended manslaughter," growled an older male Auror. "That is a few years in prison at the minimum. If you cooperate with us then your sentence can be reduced. Otherwise, you are seeing more than a decade in prison if you are convicted. Worst case scenario a lifetime sentence in Azkaban or the Dementer's Kiss."
I sighed. I had only tried to prevent a dangerous creature from roaming freely. Sometimes, I missed the less regulated and significantly under-policed environment of my Earth. If it had been my Earth, at best there would have been a brief investigation detailing what had happened and I would be let go given the evidence of my actions.
"Lissa, Runderfort!" An authoritative and feminine voice shouted. "What are you doing, holding Miss Tohsaka under arrest when the exorcists of our department have already cleared her of any wrongdoing?"
"Exorcisms are a difficult case to investigate given their highly complex nature of the soul. We should take more time in searching the crime scene or questioning potential suspects and witnesses." replied the male Auror.
"Runderfort, is right!" added the female Auror. "We have merely investigated the case for several minutes. It is too short to make conclusions already!"
"That would have been the case if Miss Tohsaka isn't a well-known exorcist that has traveled around the world in the pursuit of her job." The authoritative witch, who seemed to be in charge, sighed. "I use my authority as Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement to declare that Miss Tohsaka is cleared of all suspicions ofa committing murder. Release her at once!"
"Fine, Miss Bones." Lissa caved.
"You have your legal authority to overrule me, but don't think I am going to let this go! I am going to write a complaint about your misconduct!" shouted Runderfort as he turned around and walked away furiously.
"I am sorry for the conduct of my Aurors," apologized the woman. "My name is Amelia Bones. It is an honor to meet you, Miss Tohsaka." She offered a welcoming hand, which I shook. "Instead of being treated like a murder suspect, you should have been treated like a hero for discovering a presumed dead Dark Lord and eliminating him."
"This 'Lord Voldemort' isn't dead." I replied bluntly, causing Amelia's expression to turn serious. "You can ask your exorcists, the more knowledgeable and experienced the better. That was just a split fragment of the soul. You need to eliminate all the soul fragments to truly kill Lord Voldemort. I believe the type of magic used to create the split his soul was involved in a Horcrux."
"If it had been anyone else, I wouldn't have believed it, but you're a world-renowned figure on the subject related to the soul and spirits." Amelia shook her head. "Thank you for letting me know. I must inform the Ministry of Magic immediately of this news so we can investigate the matter."
I watched as Amelia quickly disappeared before I reached to grab the cute pig form of Gugalanna that had been rubbing its head against my legs affectionately. The transformed Gugalanna oinked and squeaked happily as I gave it a good rub. I sighed in relief that Guga had acted. If it had then I would have dealt with a nightmare of a situation to get out of.
"That was very entertaining! Worthy of being written as an episode in a crime drama." Ishtar cheered happily. "You need to fill your life with more interesting moments like that!"
"I would prefer a quieter life thank you very much, at least for a while since my time as Pseudo-Servant." I replied as I rolled my eyes.
"Who cares about entertainment right now!" shouted Ereshkigal in outrage. "Britain might not lay in my area of responsibility, but that man needs to be banished at once. He has caused so much misery and death that I want to personally deliver rightful justice."
"Let's go." I muttered, grabbed Gugalanna and hugged it, ignoring Ereshkigal's statement. "I have an appointment with Headmaster Dumbledore regarding the continued and unsafe practices of letting ghosts roam freely in a school filled with minors."
I stopped for a moment when I recalled Dumbledore's fame for possessing a phoenix. There was no way I was going to risk Gugalanna's true nature being discovered. As if sensing my intentions, Guga oinked angrily when I opened a portal to Ishtar's domain and threw the black pig through it.
"Hey!" screamed Ishtar angrily. "Do you know how difficult it is to calm down an annoyed Gugalanna? It's started to rampage around in my domain. It will take weeks to calm it down!"
That is great then. I smiled. The more Gugalanna is busy rampaging around the more free time I have from having to entertain Ishtar. I thought to myself happily as I made my way to Hogwarts.
- O -
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore stared in disbelief at the letter that had been delivered via owl mail about the recent death, or possibly murder of his new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. If it had been an accident or death by natural causes then Dumbledore wouldn't be too focused on the matter. It wouldn't be the first time he had heard about the death of upcoming, current or retired Hogwarts staff. What made the matter so serious that needed his full attention was one, that Quirinus Quirrell may have been murdered, but the appearance of one of Voldemort's Horcruxes.
It confirmed his suspicions that his former student, and once known as Tom Riddle, had created at least Horcrux and that Voldemort was still alive.
Dumbledore took a deep breath. If the matter wasn't complicated already then there was the fact that Quirrell potential murderer, who had been cleared by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement as innocent, just so happened to be coming to his office for a meeting regarding Hogwarts' iconic ghosts.
"Headmaster Dumbledore, may I come in?" asked a feminine voice.
Speak of the Devil! Dumbledore mused as he waved his wand to hide any traces relating to the now deceased Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. "Please come in, Miss Tohsaka."
The Hogwarts Headmaster was surprised by how young the asian woman entering his office was. He had heard about her young age, but it was still a surprise how young she was. She was most well known as a world-class expert in exorcisms, magical studies in the human soul and spirits, but Dumbledore was well informed of her other mastery in other magical fields. A well budding polymath in many magical disciplines!
"Headmaster Dumbledore, I am thank you for your time. You must be very busy overseeing Hogwarts amongst your other duties such as Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards and Columnist for Transfiguration Today." Rin replied politely.
"I am not as busy as you think. When you reach my age, you learn to multitask in several roles that might have been impossible in my youth." Dumbledore smiled. "May I ask why you filed a complaint to the British Ministry of Magic about Hogwarts' resident ghosts?"
"I am sure you have heard the initial summary then the length report I sent to the British Ministry of Magic. So I will not repeat myself too much." Rin responded. "In my opinion, you have a bomb that is ready to go off anytime. The living and the dead are supposed to be separated. If they are to coexist, it would be done in places where people have grown up or trained to handle spirits like religious sites. Even then, an expert on spirits should regularly check on the spirits to prevent any possible ghosts becoming a threat. An annual check at the very minimum. Clearly none of these conditions of mine apply to Hogwarts."
"I disagree." Dumbledore shook his head. "Hogwarts for centuries have had no ghost problems, and if they have then they have been dealt with properly that it never happens again."
"It's not a matter of if it hasn't happened thus Hogwarts is safe," Rin replied as she frowned. "Eventually, Hogwarts will have a ghost problem if nothing is done to address the situation. Azkaban and the resident Dementors are an extreme example, but a possible case study of what can happen if safety precautions are not taken."
The Headmaster shivered at the image of Hogwarts ever becoming something like Azkaban, but he quickly banished that thought. The resident ghosts of Hogwarts had the same rights and personal freedoms as any living human. To ask that what would effectively be devices invading their personal privacy, restraints placed to what they could do and regular check up by exorcists would be unfair and discrimination when the Hogwarts staff and students would never be treated to such similar measures.
"I cannot with clear conscience take any of your recommended solutions." announced Dumbledore with strong conviction. "If you could think of any other solution not written in the summary or detailed report then I am sorry to say that your concerns will have to be overlooked in light of what you are asking me to do to Hogwarts' ghosts. They have every right and freedom as you and I. I shall never infringe on them as long as I am headmaster of this school."
"Then we are at an impasse," Rin sighed. "If there is nothing more to discuss, I will take my leave."
"Argh," blurted Dumbledore as an idea popped into his mind. "Miss Tohsaka, do you know about the wizard you exorcised and unfortunately died not too long ago."
"Yes, what about it?" asked Rin before her eyes looked at Dumbledore suspiciously. "I hope you are not trying to use that accident against me."
"No, no! Nothing like that." Dumbledore protested. "I brought the subject up as that man was Quirinus Quirrell. The man I had just hired as the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher for this year. After the unfortunate accident, I am lacking a teacher on the subject to teach the Hogwarts students this year. I was wondering if you would like to fill in the vacancy?"
Rin frowned in deep thought for a while. "I do feel responsible for the accident. I also just happened to be certified to teach magic, and Defense Against the Dark Arts happens to be one of the few subjects I can teach. Although, I don't have much teaching experience besides one to one interaction as a tutor." She looked at Dumbledore. "Is that alright?"
"That's perfect!" Dumbledore clapped happily. "Consider yourself hired." He stood up and offered a hand. "Do not worry about your inexperience! Every teacher had started from zero."
