Good day my dears~ just reminding vacations are coming, because of which I might have more time for writing. Unfortunately, I'm lacking of motivation lately ;( but with all my strength I'm doing my best to get every chapter at last one time week. I hope, you're enjoying it.
Fun fact : I get to know that "exclaimed" doesn't mean "said" as I thought. It means yell. Now, I'm embarrassed.
The morning sun was hidden beneath mighty mountains, even so first sunlights, as well as first sounds of birds surrounded whole island. Wild animals were waking up from theirs sleeping, as well as few Viking as bakers or farmers. Everything around seemed to be peaceful, lack of screams of war, lack of deadly smell in air, lack of wild animals as well as lack of any dragons. Almost lack of dragons. Two shadows rapidly, with swift of air, almost raced each other while scaring of every met by way animal. Both dragons, pitch black scaled, with bigger one above smaller. They levelled each other.
"Stop pushing yourself so much. You're making yourself tired." Toothless glanced at her rather analysing alike, still keeping his look over forwards.
With hers wings, she pushed herself as much as they let her. Despite it, it wasn't much. Hers muscles ached already, hers lungs fulfilled theirselves with astonishing amount of oxygen, even so she just smiled to him in hers dragon alike way. "Weren't you the one which told that I should train more? I'm just doing my best."
He snarled. "That doesn't mean you should hassle yourself. You still building yours wings strength, they might be not able to keep yours body weight."
"You're saying I'm fat?!" Toothless focused immediately, his eyes widened in startled, yet fortunately for him Hiccup giggled alike, showing him she wasn't indeed mad by those words. She saddened. "Shouldn't I already be build that way? I mean, I'm sure other dragons didn't had to train theirs bodies." Hers tone of voice, without any doubt proved hers troubling over theme, likely she was unconfident about herself. Again.
He smiled reassuringly. "That's right." A breath of despair left hers muzzle. "But then, they had whole lifetime of experience. You still have time. Since when you started to fly, 4 days? I think it takes longer to learn actually." He chuckled as well she giggled.
Truth was not so short time passed since they met each other. Probably longest week of hers life. Much of things happened, much of things changed, yet it would be a lie, if said everything was going downfall. It was getting only better and better. Hiccup's relation with Toothless improved, both now cared about another's thoughts and feelings. Since some time, a young male showed towards her care, she never thought as possible to get. She still reminded herself times of war between them, times when both likely was at each other's throats, fortunately it was far away from them now.
Toothless while being cold, vengeful as well as the most frightening thing in Hiccups whole life, diametrically changed. By his new behaviour, he became careful, helpful and friendly alike. There were still few issues between them, secrets of theirs pasts still were ones which mostly didn't let them closer to one another, yet is there relation in world in which there isn't any problems? By not known her reason, she loved spending time with him. A comfort words were mixing with those ironic ones. Reassuring movements were mixing with those joking alike. She loved that. That relation. She needed something like this. Much more than she thought.
"Okay! I just-" The cold, morning, strong wind rushed through hers body. Immediately, she lost balance, almost sending her towards ground. Toothless, with stressed glare, observed how within moment Hiccup was back onto his level. "These Thor's winds making me crazy!"
He snorted. "Then stop fighting them already!"
"Easy for you to say? Isn't it?"
"It is, and it would be for you, if you would just listen. You're really stubborn for such little and weak creature."
"Excuse me?! I was first Viking to capture Night Fury! The most feared dragon nonetheless! While you were first Night Fury to be catch! What is it making you then? Better?"
"At least I am able to keep a basket of fishs onto my back without unnecessary tiredness."
She puffed. "You troll faced-" She yet again lost balance, now gritting hers teeth from embarrassment, not willing glancing at him. She huffed.
He mocked. "Amazing how easily is to make you distracted." He smirked to her, knowingly even while lack of sight, she probably felt his glare as well as smirk onto hers back. "That's two now. Not only you're fighting nature's powers, but also you're lacking of focus."
"As always knowledge, potent Odin could be envy about. And how can't I fight it, since we're heading north, and wind is blowing opposite direction?!" He sighed his dragon way, which would be bizarre for her, if it wasn't for fact she heard those at last hundreds of times already. "If you want me to stop fighting so, we might change direction. No problem with that. I'm even insisting on doing so."
"That would be easiest, right?"
"Obviously." She inhaled. "That's why we won't do that."
"Exactly."
"So, what's now?" She glanced over him.
He smirked. "Impressing." He then opened his wings widely, scaring her of at first, reasoning into him being send upright into air. She observed every move of his, until he eventually levelled himself over trees. Wind not bothering him now. He used wind, just so he would be higher, even so still turned into his direction. Despite theirs distance, she was sure he smiled victoriously.
She focused. Reason was to use wind huh? I might done that as well. Might is good word. She breathed loudly, afterwards in mere moment opened hers wing. Sadly, such rapid movement caused her being inattentive, because of which balance was crushed as well as her body was send into ground. By the landing, painful landing, she was met with uncountable amount of high grass, as well as smell of dirt over hers nose. Typical. She laid there for moment, again thinking through every of hers decision which led hers towards that moment. Moment in which she just pulled out onto ground, as a dragon nonetheless! Not even saying about amount of dirt now covering hers whole body. After mere moment, she felt known her good presence.
"I guess you come here to laugh me off, don't you?" Without turning hers head, she heard a sound of deep breath being taken, just so next thing it hers ears was sound of trashing around. She confused. "What are you doing?" Getting no response, she slowly and painfully alike stood up, turn herself and walked forward. "Toothless, what are you up to?" Then, she froze by sight she saw. Toothless, Night Fury, biggest Night Fury she ever saw, the most feared dragon in hers whole village, now puppy alike squirming around. Hiccup had to remind herself colour of his eyes, as there wasn't any colour in them now since his eyes orbs were huge now! She giggled at the sight. "Really?" She breathed air inside hers lungs, in way showing hers amazement. Biggest mistake. She felt most sweet and lovely scent she ever did! "My Thor, it's most beautiful smell I ever smelt!" Every of those words said such rapidly in hers mind, almost creating one mixed word.
"I know, right?!" His body still was covering in those strange- "We call it grass! Some dragons call it dangerous, some call it pleasant."
She melted in place. "How you call it?"
"Now?" He breathed loudly. "Wonderful." He jumped immediately, closer himself to her as with his bigger body he pushed hers forward, into place he created by flattening grass. He smiled brightly. "Come closer! It's great!"
She smiled now troubled. "Why they are calling it dangerous?"
"You have to know? Let's have fun at first!"
"Fun doesn't suit you bud." She giggled, seeing his tongue out, as well as his body shaking with excitement. "I just want to make myself sure."
"Well, it's making us pleasured, that pleasured there are stories saying that dragons died while playing in them for eternity." Hiccup made towards him frightened glare. "It's safe until we remain controllable! Please!"
Odin help her, since when she couldn't resist to him! "Okay! But controllable amount."
He purred from happiness. Then, Hiccup felt impact into hers side as she was sent onto his created place, instantly laying her stomach first. Toothless himself decided to have fun and yet again roll over that grass. She smiled at the view, herself started enjoying by putting hers muzzle onto ground, exhaling known her now sweet scent, closing hers eyes in meantime. It was pleasant, yet she wouldn't be able to behave as he did. It was just smell, nothing more. It didn't make her crazy about it. Was she strange, that she didn't reacted that way? Hers one eye opened to see hers companion having fun, just to close. She smiled. Maybe, she was just being strong at such things. As he said, dragons dies because of it. It was rather good she was able to control herself over it.
After moment of both theirs pleasures, Hiccup was found surprised, when sound of Toothless's trashing just stopped. She opened hers eyes, finding none of his company she raised hers head in worry. Just then, muzzle of said dragons made itself way against hers scales of hers side. She was stunned. Toothless was likely only closing theirs distance, and she didn't knew how should she react onto that. His tail touched hers. By next movements his side touched hers. His muzzle now likely caress now hers neck, making by it loud purrs. If it wasn't for hers scales, she would be probably whole red. "Toothless what are you doing?!" She exclaimed. He likely ignored, or he just didn't register those words. It was this moment she noticed how dominating he was now over her, since he wasn't only bigger, but also much stronger. What he was even doing? Was he... grooming her?! "Toothless stop! You're making me uncomfortable!"
"I can't help it." His head still stroked hers neck. "Yours scent... it's so cute."
Hers eyes widened. After registering his words, his as well. He stood still, probably frozen, his head still next to hers neck. "Maybe let's change form, since it's getting uncontrollable."
He likely jumped from her. "Yes! It's great idea! Best idea! One of yours best lately!" He immediately changed, and she done as well after him, now both sitting next to each other. "I'm so sorry Hiccup! It was that grass! I couldn't control myself!"
"It's okay Toothless-"
"I mean, it's really hard to resist! Almost impossible! I didn't meant any of this!"
Seeing his panic now, she interrupted. "Toothless! It's okay!" She exclaimed, grabbing part of his shoulder. "I know you didn't meant that. I believe you. Yer don't have to explain it, seriously." He nodded, yet he was wobbling left and right, right and left. She looked over him, now ashamed about hers little outrage. He didn't done anything bad, yet she behave as he just was about to kill her off! "Toothless I'm sorry that-" She pulled hers hand to him, in meantime his tooth necklace, which was swinging because of motion he made, painfully alike stab her onto hers palm.
He panicked. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" He get hold onto hers palm, carefully stocking it as well as thinking through how to remove it without hurting her.
"Don't apologise! It was my own fault." The atmosphere around them thicken, and she blamed herself about it. She smirked, joked around. "Seems that whoever dragons tooth it was, the owner wasn't peaceful with humans, wasn't it?" She laughed, but by the sight of his face, she immediately felt horrible. He had thoughtful face, yet she could say they were unpleasant thoughts. She embarrassed. "I'm sorry if I made yer feel bad. I didn't thought through that joke."
He didn't responded onto that, removed tooth from hers hand, stocked wound carefully. "Are you okay?"
She nodded furiously. "It's just a cut! Really! I'm fine!"
"It's yours habit?"
"What?"
"Saying every time that you're fine?"
"I'm really fine! Believe me."
"I believe you." He let go of hers hand.
His sight remained onto ground, she could say something was still bothering him. Hiccup would worry about it, if it wasn't about hers curiosity about object just underneath his face. "Can yer tell me more about that-"
"No!" He turned his head towards her immediately. Seeing hers face, he likely snapped. "Yes." His palms covered now his face, as he hide his uncomfortable about topic.
She made eye contact between his fingers. "If yer don't want to talk about it-"
"You don't know how much I want to! But then-"
"Yer don't trust me?"
He raised his head from his palms. "I trust you most in this world." Hers eyes widen, hers heart raced happily. His sight remained onto ground. "It's terrible story. I don't know if I want to talk about it. I don't know what you would thought about me." He groaned as he again hide between his hands.
She delicately took one of his hands from his face, so now yet again there was eye contact. "If yer need to talk about it, I'm all yers. I won't criticise yer, I promise."
He smiled at her as he raised himself. "Thank you."
"Besides, yer can't be worse than as yer were when yer wanted to kill me."
He annoyed. "Was it necessary?" She shrugged. He took deep breath. "Did I ever told you about my start as a shapeshifter? First year of it?"
"Well..." She scratched hers head. "I remember yer tellin' me that yer couldn't sleep because of that."
He nodded. "So I did told you something." His sight lower onto ground, likely painful about memories. "5 years ago I wasn't like I am now. You probably consider me as tough, cold, maybe even fearless. Don't you?" He turned to her. She furiously nodded hers head. He chuckle. "Back then I was different." He glanced over ground, almost like he saw something in it. "I was rather happy, despite not such pleasant life and situation of mine. I was playful, joyful. You're probably not believing me."
"It doesn't sound possible." Both giggled. "What changed?"
He saddened. "One situation. One situation changed everything around." He glanced over her, she smiled brightly, reminding him he wasn't alone. "That time, I knew about... that. It wasn't that I didn't. When sudden changes kept happening I almost every time had panic attacks, yet I knew one thing, which I kept reminding myself. 'It's only dream, it's only dream, you're going to be yourself in no time.'" He imprinted himself from these years earlier. "Luckily in difference of you, I didn't believed it's because of emotions." She made him offended, yet smiled glare.
"That's how yer find out how to do that?"
"No... within time of years I find out. Then, it was likely my defence against it. I really believed it was only dream, because of which it made it only more... traumatising." He sighed loudly, yet he knew it had to come to light someday anyway. "It seemed like a common night, nothing over normal, like every of them. Only difference was my dream, more likely nightmare. Again, just me becoming human, but problem was my strategy with 'it's only dream' didn't worked out."
"It must have been terrifyin'."
"It's not even close towards what was about to happen." He breathed loudly. Because of surrounding them silent, Hiccup could hear beating of his heart. "Worst was woke up. I woke up in jaws. Jaws of dragon."
Hiccup whole body immediately shake. Hers own throat knotted as well as hers eyes teared slightly. "B-by T-throat?" She shuttered.
He nodded. "I almost got eaten alive. Most horrifying experience of my life." He glanced over her, seeing hers distress, he tried calm her. "Hiccup, it's okay. I make out of it alive."
She shallowed. "I-I can't e-even imagine-" She sniffed. "-how h-horrifying it m-must be."
He bit his lip seeing hers panic and distress. "Mostly because of that I didn't wanted to share that with you."
"T-tell me more." He confused. "I-I know, I-I shouldn't ask, but then I promised I would listen without c-criticisin' yer. Yer need that conversation." She breathed loudly. "And I'm goin' to listen it fully."
"You don't have-"
"I want to. I want to help."
He nodded. "Okay. When I woke up, it was with jump, almost like my body was alerting me something was wrong. And it was right. Monsterous Nightmare, probably by seeing human randomly laying over our territory, his first instinct was to protect by getting rid of problem. Unfortunately I was that problem. Seeing my situation I panicked, yet my body worked with itself. Adrenaline most possibly made it's turn. I didn't knew what to do. I didn't knew how that body worked. I just done anything I could. I pushed, I kicked, I screamed. It tried to shallow me whole, it bite, it closed its jaw, so I was left in darkness. Eventually I probably hurt it and dragon let me go. Afterwards, I ran. I didn't knew how, but I ran, just so to collapse after what felt like hours of running."
"H-how do yer feel about that whole situation?"
"I'm not sure. Most possibly blameful." Glancing at her, puzzlement streamed through her. "I hurt my own. And only because it tried to protect his own. In his eyes I was enemy. I hurt probably just caring about his family dragon. What it makes me then?"
"Survivor? Yer just fought for life, and won consequently. It's nothin' to be ashamed about."
He then laid onto her, likely needing contact with her, but being too ashamed to ask about it. She let him, his head now against hers shoulder. His sight kept onto sky, just so he would painfully close them. She looked forward her onto ground. He really lived through Niflheimr. She tried to think through any words to say to him now. But, it wasn't easy. She never lived through such trauma, how was she able then help without such knowledge. She breathed loudly, she has to at least try. "Don't be harsh on yerself. Yer were just a boy."
"Maybe, but it still hurts."
"Yer had right to behave that way. Yer didn't understood what yer were doin'."
"I wasn't thoughtless. I knew what I done."
"Aren't yer the one that said 'we fight to survive'?" He didn't responded. She got point. "Yer just fought to survive, nothin' more. It's just way of life, isn't it? Strongest would survive. Yer showed ye're stronger than that dragon thought."
He nodded, opened his eyes slightly. "You're probably right." He sighed. "I just wish, I could just change past."
"And what? Let it eat yer?" He didn't responded. It was enough of answer. "Toothless, yer would die. Yer would be dead! How can yer consider that! Nothin' in that dragon life changed, it just fought with human, nothin' much more. Only change would be endin' yers life! It isn't just fair!"
"Times back, I wished things went that way. That I would die."
"But, yer don't think that way anymore. Don't yer?" He didn't responded. Hers eyes teared. She placed hers head against his. "Please, don't think that way. Y-yer know I had s-such thoughts, but lately hope gave me knowledge that there is s-someone like m-me. With same issue. I-if yer-. I-if yer-." She sobbed. "I won't be able to keep on." She cried.
He sighed. "I don't have such thoughts."
"Don't lie."
"I'm not. I stopped having them. I understood it's not the way to just escape living. Besides-" He laid onto her more forcefully. "-you won't get rid of me such easily."
She giggled. Then focused. "Still, yer didn't said from where that necklace. It its tooth?"
"When I woke up from collapsing, it was stabbed inside my arm." He raised his shelve, and as said, there was indeed a scar over it. "I wore it as a punishment. Everyday looking at it, remind me what have I done."
"Don't think about it that way. Yer might as well think about it as a proof. Evidence that it isn't easy to just kill yer. That ye're tough, resistant."
"Evidence, you say?" She nodded furiously. He glanced down onto necklace, now holding onto it. He smiled. Evidence. He laid onto her even more. She tried push him off, but he stood still. He smirked. "Is something bothering you?"
"Aye, a overgrown lizard!"
"Overgrown?! I'm perfect way I am!"
"Right! If perfect now means fat!"
He exhaled. "You dare call me fat?! It all muscles!"
"Yet zero of brain!"
"Okay, that's it! You earned that." He didn't hold him now, let his whole heaviness attack hers little body, as well as hers weak back. Immediately, both now was send onto ground. Hiccup hers stomach first, with Toothless at hers back, laying onto her, back by back. He crossed his arms. "Apologise!"
"No way! Never!"
"We have long day, you know. And it's pretty cozy in here." He faked yawned. "I might fall asleep in here."
"No! I can barely breath!" He didn't done much of hers begging. Now faked snoring. "Okay! I'm sorry! Let me go!" As pleased, he done, sliding through hers, just to land onto ground by hers side. She breathed loudly, likely she just surfaced. "What a fatso."
"One more word and I'm going back."
Hers eyes widen, she hold onto his arm. "Please, have a mercy!" Both laughed afterwards.
Eventually, Toothless concerned. "Are you mad at me about earlier? I mean, then in grass-"
"I forgotten already, thank yer for remindin'." Glancing at him, seeing his anxiety, she sighed. "It's alright."
"It wasn't supposed to be bad manner!"
"Yer don't have to explain it."
"I feel like I have to! Just-" He exhaled. "-please let me."
"Okay. If yer insist."
"It was in way to show you how important you are to me. It wasn't supposed to be aggressive, or overwhelming. It was supposed to be nice, and pleasurable!"
"And friendly?"
"Yes! Exactly! I wanted to show you that you're my friend and that I care about you!"
She exhaled loudly. "What a relief!" Seeing his questionable face, she changed topic. "Then, it was just a likely a friend thing?"
He nodded. "That's right." Then focused. "How humans show affection?"
Woah. "A-affection?"
"Do humans have such thing like this?"
She sighed, then thought for moment. "Aye, they do."
"Exactly?" She puzzled. "I mean, since I showed you mine thing about that, you might show me yours."
"Alright." She then closed theirs distance, so hers side was touching his. She pulled out one of hers hands and placed it by his back. Then she froze.
"Something's wrong?" She mumbled underneath his nose. "You know I didn't heard any of it?"
"Your back. It's too wide. And my arm. It's too short. I can't do it." Hers face brighten with redness.
"Okay. Then maybe I can do that?" She just shrugged hers shoulders. She took hers hand, just so afterwards, to his surprise, took his and encircle with it hers body. He now felt hers presence against a side of his chest. "And that's supposed to be?"
"Hug." She smiled. "Yer don't like it?"
"It's fine." He closed his eyes, now tightening hold onto his arm over her. Feeling it, Hiccup didn't minded, as well closed theirs embrace, closing hers eyes in meantime. Both smiled brightly, rather happily by the sensation as well as theirs shared warmness. Eventually, Toothless was first to speak. "I still think dragons have better way of showing affection."
She broke theirs contact, to his dislike as much. "Right~ obviously~." She mocked him.
"They really do! You would be surprised!"
She rolled hers eyes, that way she was looking before her now. "And that would be?" She shouldn't say that. She should not say that! Just then, by hers cheek rough, slimy, terribly hot tongue made it's way from side of hers chin towards almost hers eye. Her human nonetheless companion, just licked her! He held her by shoulder, in way to keep her in place if she wanted to ran away. Unnecessarily, since she just froze, surprised. Hers face was shined now a purple tone. She could feel he smirked victoriously.
He then stood up. "Let's head back. Yours village might start worrying about you."
She heard him change, yet she stood still. It was grossest thing she experienced since long time. Grossest might be only time she saw once Gobber only in his panties. Because of that memory, as well as her new experience, she couldn't help, but to scream between hers teeth.
Little reminding for you guys, if you have any questions, ask! I love responding them! Beside it, I just as always thank you for reading!
