Chapter 3 - When will this Tutorial End?!
While her team recovered from their bonding playtime, Kassi worked to clean herself up. She tore a bit of the silks from the cocoons and used them as a makeshift rag to wipe herself clean. Surprised at the sheer volume of love juices that had dripped down her leg surprised her.
Damn girl. You got laid yesterday morning, why are you already like this?
As if in response to her thoughts, her Arc Phone chimed twice. Picking up the thing like it was a coiled Ekans ready to strike, she glanced at the screen.
New Achievement Towards Goal: Copulation with a Pokemon - (1) Complete. Reward: Increased arousal from Pokemon-Human Copulation by 25%
New Achievement Towards Goal: Copulation with a Pokemon - (3) Complete. Reward: Increased arousal from Pokemon-Human Copulation by 50%
What in the Arceus?! That bloody arsehole! Goals?! And what are these? Why does it jump from 1 to 3…wait…is that a total number I've slept with? Do I have to sleep with a bunch of Pokemon just to go home?! That fucker! I'm not a PokeSlut! I don't want to go out into the wild and just fuck every Pokemon I see.
Kassi's mood boiled into a fierce rage and she tried throwing the Arc Phone at the nearest tree as hard as she could. It seemed to turn itself sideways mid-flight and stuck into the bark of the tree on one of the golden points along its side with a light *thunk*.
At the sharp sound, all three of her Pokemon snapped to full alertness; jumping to their feet and ready to face danger. What they found instead was their new Trainer, back against a tree, slumping until she flopped heavily to the bed of bug-silk below.
"This is bloody bollocks." Kassi said, unable to keep the frustration from her voice, tears coming unbidden to her eyes. "I never asked for any of this." Kassi looked angrily at the Arc Phone. "You abduct me, throw me into a strange world, then expect me to sell out my morals in order to go home?! Fuck you, you bloody bastard!" By the end of her tirade, Kassi was screaming at the phone. She felt herself crack, all the emotions overwhelming her resolve. For the second time since coming here, Kassi just curled into a ball and wept.
A couple of minutes went by, though it felt like hours to Kassi. She'd felt her new Pokemon try to prod at her mind, but she'd walled herself off. The thing that had finally snapped her out of her misery, was the feeling of soft fur, pushing its way between her arms. Underneath the fur was a deep warmth, like holding an electric blanket that was turned on full blast. She opened her arms and let Cyndi crawl in and nuzzle against her, small tongue darting out to lick away her tears.
Kassi felt small hands paw at her back. They were cool and rubbed gently between her shoulders. A small breeze wafted over her face, and she heard the steady beat of a wing. Finally, she opened her eyes. There they were. Her new team. All doing something to comfort their new Trainer. The thought made her other team come to mind, and it caused her to have a hiccuping gasp, that forced her into another bout of crying. This time however, she opened herself back up to the three small Pokemon; no words were said, but thoughts of concern, care, and comfort washed over her like a warm bath.
A few more minutes went by and Kassi finally managed to pull herself back together. She mostly had her new team to thank for that. As she sat up and wiped her eyes, she looked to her three Pokemon. They all wore looks of concern.
"I'm sorry. It's a long story, but we can talk about it tonight. For now, we've got a mission." She paused, then reached down and scooped up all three of them in a tight hug. "But, thank you. That was incredibly sweet of all you." Kassi gave each Pokemon a quick and chaste kiss, then set them down.
All of her Pokemon made their version of a happy noise and she heard her phone chime twice more. At the noise, Cyndi rounded quickly, and shot an ember at the Arc Phone, this was followed just as quickly by a Razor Leaf and Water Gun from Ivy and Kenshin. They'd acted so quickly to defend her.
The phone was dislodged from the tree during the attacks, but fell to the ground, seemingly unharmed.
Kassi let it lay there, smiling at her new protectors.
"Thank you. If we ever meet Arceus together, let's do that to it."
Kroo!
Foom!
Plish Plash!
Three resounding answers came.
"Now then. We've got two more Pokemon to catch." She stood up and reached into her satchel. There she found the tiny square of folded silk that Akari had given her, "and I need to figure out how this works before we leave."
For the next several minutes, Kassi awkwardly tried to figure out how she was supposed to turn a single hand-span wide long ribbon into serviceable underwear. During that time, she'd also asked her team to cut free and bundle up as much of the Wurmple silk as they could gather. She figured it might be worth some coin if she could get it back to the village. To her delight, and without a word from her, the team had cut a swath around the Arc Phone where it lay screen down on the ground.
Finally, she'd managed to tie the silk ribbon into place in a way that didn't seem like it would fall off immediately. Shrugging with a good enough motion she let her dress fall back down into place. She gathered the well packed bundle of silk and using a couple of vines that Ivy offered, tied it to her back. All that done, she recalled her Pokemon after giving each one another chaste kiss and thanking them for being so sweet.
She picked up the Arc Phone tentatively, then looked at the screen.
New Achievement Towards Goal: Emotional bond with a Pokemon - (1) Complete. Reward: Ability to communicate emotion telepathically - range 30 meters
New Achievement Towards Goal: Emotional bond with a Pokemon - (3) Complete. Reward: Ability to converse telepathically - range 30 meters
That cheapskate! I could already do both those things and from a greater distance too!
*grrr* Kassi growled as she shoved the Arc Phone into her satchel and made her way from the patch of trees back towards the camp. "That arsehole God better have bollocks, because I'm going to find the strongest fighting type Pokemon I can and have them kick that bastard in them as hard as it can!"
She practically stomped back to the camp and came across Akari looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Everything ok Kassi? Did one of your new Pokemon hurt you in some way? We heard some strange noises drifting over from where you were…"
Despite her best efforts, Kassi couldn't stop the blush from coming to her cheeks. Probably should have made sure we were quieter.
"All good. Just, having a rough time of so much change so quickly. Hey! Akari, what do you think?" Kassi lifted her skirt to show the young woman the makeshift underwear she tied up.
Akari's moon pale skin turned a deep scarlet and she spun on her heel quickly to see if anyone else had seen. Then, she spun back and yanked Kassi's skirt back into place.
"Kassi! What are you doing!? What if one of the men were to see?!" She said in a very loud whisper.
"Then they'd see my underwear. It's not that big of a deal. I've got swimsuits back home that cover less." Kassi shrugged. "I just wanted you to tell me if I did it right. Might be a bit distracting if my undergarments start falling off as I'm diving away from an attack."
Akari stared into Kassi, trying very hard to determine if the blonde was being genuine or just trying to mess with her. After several seconds she let out and exasperated *sigh*. She looked around for several seconds, then determined if they were alone.
"You are right, let me see once more."
Kassi lifted her skirt and smiled to herself as Akari's face blushed deeply, though she did lean in to inspect Kassi's handiwork.
"It is akin to the work of a small child. Sloppy, but serviceable. It will suffice for now." She stood up and indicated for Kassi to put her skirt down. "It will do until you can be taught the proper way to do the bindings."
It was Kassi's turn to be embarrassed. She thought she'd done fairly well at it for having figured it out herself. Then she remembered the load on her back.
"Hey Akari, can you take this back to the camp for me while I finish up? It's a bit awkward to carry." Kassi handed over the wad of bundled silks.
Akari's eyes grew wide, "What are these?!"
"Raw Silcoon and Cascoon sheds. I was going to see if they'd be worth anything when we got back."
"So much at once…" Akari said, then reverently clutched the bundle to her chest. "I will care for them until you return. Remember, Starly startle easily and Shinx will attack if they see you."
Kassi smiled, then turned and started walking down the path once more.
She found a Starly soon enough pecking for seeds underneath a berry tree. The tree had a small clearing around it surrounded by tall grass.
I thought this was supposed to be a challenge. It's almost like this area was made for sneaking up on Pokemon.
Going through the tall grass quietly turned out to be more of a hassle than she'd expected. The swish of the blades wasn't the hard part, it was the fact that the tall grass consisted of two types of grass whose blades were either above her head when crouched; or just the right height that when she passed over top of them, they flipped up under her skirt and tickled at her inner thighs and crotch. The slow steps and teasing grass reminded her keenly that she hadn't been able to get herself off during the bonding with her new Pokemon.
Focus bitch. You can flick your bean later…or maybe have your team help.
During her contemplation, she'd managed to sneak up to a spot where she could see the Starly. Readying a PokeBall, she carefully pulled back her arm and took aim. The Starly turned to peck at another seed, exposing its broad back to her as she threw. The ball let out a heavy *thud* as it smacked into the small bird. The ball barely shook at all before sending up another shower of sparks.
"Damn, this method of catching isn't too bad. As long as they're going to get released it can't be all bad..right?" She said out loud as the PokeBall flipped itself into the air and flew back into her hand.
She heard Akari running up behind her as she stood back up.
"You made that look so easy! Weren't you afraid of it hitting you with a Gust or something?"
How is she not even out of breath after running all that way? This girl's endurance must be insane, Kassi smirked, good to know.
"Nope, you just got done telling me they were skittish. Plus why would I be scared of a little Starly, especially one that looked freshly hatched?" Kassi asked nonchalantly. She'd been contemplating getting the berries out of the tree, but didn't know if she could climb well in her short dress.
Akari seemed to take notice of what Kassi was doing, "Why don't you just have your Pokemon get the fruit for you?"
Kassi turned, looking at Akari, "What do you mean?"
"I mean that Pokemon are really good at gathering materials, like berries from trees, medicines to heal themselves, even the tumblestones and such we use to make PokeBalls. Plus it gives them a chance to practice their moves. Best part is, whatever they gather get stuck to the port on the top of their ball when they return. So as you travel, you can toss out a Pokemon, let it gather something, and it'll bring it back once you recall it, all without breaking stride."
"How would I do that? Don't I need to keep hold of the PokeBall in order for the Pokemon to return to it?"
Akari looked confused, then smiled wryly, "Guess you don't know everything about catching Pokemon, huh? PokeBalls have some ability to fly back to the one that threw them. Our best theory right now is that the Tumblestone that is used to make Pokemon shrink down to size also seems to have some memory of the one that uses it to catch that Pokemon. Beyond what happens, however, we don't know why."
Kassi blinked, then squinted hard at Akari. That had sounded an awful lot like Rei going on one of her brain benders…now all that Akari had to do was say something wildly inappropriate or demand a golden shower and she'd be a dark haired match.
"Is…is there something wrong?" Akari looked nervous and turned away with a blush at Kassi's stare.
"Nope, nothing, sorry about that." Kassi rubbed at the back of her head in embarrassment. "Right then, gather materials…easier." She picked the ball for Kenshin and tossed out. As he appeared she sent him a mental image of what she wanted him to do. Without a second thought, he launched a tackle at the tree, shaking its ripe berries free, that clattered to the grassy ground with a soft *plat*. He let out a cry and she sent a mental command for him to return. His ball followed by a small handful of Oran Berries landed in her palms.
"Well if that isn't bloody brilliant…" Kassi trailed off as she tucked her Pokemon and the berries away in her satchel. How much easier would my original journey have been if modern Pokeballs could do this!?
"Kassi, look! Just around that rock. There's a Shinx…oh, it looks like the one that got me too." Akari pointed, while making herself as flat to a large rock jutting from the ground as possible.
Kassi peaked around and saw the small Pokemon stalking something in the tall grass, cross shaped tail swishing playfully as it stalked its invisible prey.
"It's so cute! Doesn't seem so harmless to," Kassi was cut off as the Shinx heard her and spun towards the noise.
The small feline Pokemon let out a high pitched yowl that quickly turned into a growl. The hum of that growl grew as it took stock of Kassi.
There was a sudden feeling of RUN that possessed her entire body. Diving to the side, Kassi narrowly dodged a bolt of electricity, rocked through the space between her and the Pokemon and struck the stone that Akari was hiding behind. Instantly the air was split by a small crack of thunder, just loud enough to set her teeth on edge.
"Alright little one, you wanna play rough. Let's do this!" Kassi reached for a ball and tossed out Ivy. The grass type Pokemon shouldn't have too much to fear from a low-level electric type.
As if to spite her words, the Shinx closed the space and bit hard onto Ivy's right wing. The Rowlet let out a pained hoot then shook her wing free.
"Quick attack Ivy, then look out for another one of those Thundershocks!" Kassi had given the orders out loud this time, the passion of a fight taking over her common sense.
Ivy struck out with a Quick attack, sending the Shinx sprawling. It tried to hit back with another Thundershock, but missed as Ivy flapped her little wings and lept backwards.
"Leafage!" Kassi sent to Ivy, the small owl smacked the small feline with a flurry of sharpened leaf feathers, giving it a series of small slices that started to bleed lightly. The Shinx started to stumble on its paws. It was still growling, and the fight had not gone out of its eyes, but Kassi could tell it was on the verge of passing out from the damage it had taken. She reached for a PokeBall and gave it a flick at the Shinx. It leapt into the air, clearly the Shinx was strong willed and was fighting back, but a second later, the crackle of sparks indicated Kassi was successful.
"Wait - did you really…?" Akari's jaw dropped as the PokeBall Kassi had tossed flung itself back into her hand. "You really did! You did it! That's three species of Pokemon - caught! You really are some kind of prodigy!" She stepped forward and gave Kassi a hug in her excitement, then quickly jumped back realizing what she'd done, a blush coming over her face. "U-uhm. I'm so sorry. It's just so exciting! You must have given Professor Laventon the shock of his life! First you fall from the sky, then you go and catch all of our escaped Pokemon, one after another! I honestly didn't believe the professor's story until I saw you in action for myself. And here you are with three Pokemon caught! You've completed your trail!" Akari's face was split by a wide grin and Kassi was reminded again just how cute she was when she smiled.
"Thank you Akari, but it wasn't that big of a deal."
Akari just shook off her words and gestured for the two of them to return to the camp, the other young woman practically skipping up the hill with giddy excitement.
The Professor was at the edge of camp, smiling widely. "Oho! I said you'd pass the trial with flying colors, and it seems you went and did just that! Not only that, but you managed to gather more raw silk than I think our town has seen since we arrived here. Anthe will be delighted. Congratulations young Kassi!" They arrived back at the camp and he clapped her in a back slapping hug that felt very…fatherly. Stepping back, he smiled even wider and pulled out a camera from an oversized pocket on his coat. The thing looked ancient to Kassi, with knobs and dials, but she could see the polished brass and knew that it must be fairly new. He started to fill a pan on the top with some sort of powder.
This place has cameras, but no running water. When the hell am I?
"This calls for a commemorative photograph," Laventon said as he held up the camera. Kassi thought for a minute about striking her victory pose, but chose instead to just smile for the photo. There was a bright flash and the puff of smoke as the Professor took his photo. He started to wind some of the dials and said as he tucked away the camera, "Now then, we'd best report to Captain Cyllene. Time to head back to Jubilife Village, eh?"
Everyone, including the Security Squad members nodded in agreement.
During the walk back to town, Kassi decided she'd keep hold of the Shinx for the time being, but handed the other two Pokemon over to the Professor for research.
The walk back to town was much more jovial and Kassi found herself smiling at the dopey dad jokes the Professor kept making with everyone as they walked. A couple of them even managed to get Akari to giggle, a light tinkling laugh that had made Kassi's heart flutter when she'd heard it.
They walked back into town and strolled confidently up to Galaxy Hall.
The Professor gave a curt nod to Cyllene and left for his lab with the two PokeBalls in tow, Akari choosing to stand just outside the Captain's door.
"It seems we won't have to leave you to die or lie, after all. Congratulations. You've passed your trial. You can hold on to that satchel." Cyllene held a piece of her paperwork in hand the entire time she'd addressed Kassi, not even bothering to stand. "I admit you've impressed me. I set a high hurdle to judge whether a stranger like yourself could be worthy, but you cleared it. This is your - the official uniform of the Survey Corps." She pulled a couple of bundles from behind her desk and held them towards Kassi, which Kassi took quickly. "Get changed in the room you used last night. Then you're to report at once to the third floor. Present yourself in uniform to our commander. This is your first official order from your Captain!" With that Cyllene turned back to her paperwork.
Kassi left the office and made her way back to her room. As she changed, Kassi noticed that the silk she'd used as her make-shift underwear had come loose. Right, I need to ask Akari to help with that later. She tightened them back up as best she could. The uniform had a black long sleeved shirt made of a light breathable fabric as a base layer, then heavy cloth pants and robe that went over that. The robe was tied shut by her satchel band and the sandals had some kind of thick wool leg warmer looking material attached. The sandals themselves were made of a woven fiber and had large tassels that stuck out of their tops. Finally was a thick red scarf that Kassi tied around her neck to match the way Akari did it. She looked at herself in the mirror.
Yikes…I hope I'm not stuck with this outfit permanently…this looks dreadful. The uniform was undoubtedly all function, no fashion. Nearly all of her figure was gone as well. Sighing, she tucked away the silk bundle in the chest in the room and made her way back to Galaxy Hall.
"Ah, I see you're changed. Regarding your accommodations, you may continue to use the room you slept in last night." Cyllene was walking down one of the wide carpeted staircases as Kassi'd returned. "You may wear this as well." The serious woman approached Kassi, then pulled out a white bit of cloth and started to fuss with Kassi's hair.
What in the… as Kassi wondered dumb-founded at the gentle and motherly way Cyllene was tying her hair back and affixing a copy of Akari's head scarf to her a pleasant aroma filled her nose. The Commander smelled like bar soap mixed with cool rawst berries. The scent was crisp and neat, somehow perfect for the serious woman.
Cyllene finished a few seconds later and snapped into a parade rest, "Now present yourself to the commander!" She gestured straight up.
Yeah, need to change this get-up as soon as I can.
Kassi made her way up the flight of stairs. The second floor being full of more offices placed directly above the ones on the lower level. In the middle of that floor, above the foyer below was a single grand staircase leading up to a double-door entry that stood wide open.
As she made her way up the stairs, she found a large man standing in front of a desk. He wore a full Kimono of black embroidered at its bottom with a mountainside scene. He also wore a jacket draped over his shoulders like a cape, neither of his arms in its sleeves. Jet black hair that grew down into bushy sideburns and a wide bushy mustache should have dominated his face, but instead it was the deadly serious steel gray eyes that demanded all of her attention.
"I've been waiting for you!" The man practically shouted at Kassi as she stepped into his office. "I am Kamado, commander of the Galaxy Expedition Team!" He looked Kassi up and down appraisingly. His gaze felt like it pierced straight through to her very soul. "Hrrrm…so, you are Kassi." It wasn't a question.
"Uh…" Kassi managed to say eloquently.
"A simple yes or no will do. I've been briefed on your situation–including how you fell from the rift in the sky." He'd been speaking with his eyes closed as if in contemplation, they snapped open and he tossed his arms wide. "Now then…Let's see what you're made of! Face me in combat!" The last words were practically shouted.
What in the bloody…Kassi waited for a few seconds to see where the joke was…nothing came. She didn't have any real fighting experience, so she opted to just rush at the Commander once she'd determined this indeed very real. She pushed some of her power into limbs to make them stronger, but as soon as she got just a few fingers on the commander's kimono, his hands whipped in like striking snakes. They took hold of her robes and a brief second later, Kassi found the world upside down.
She crashed to the floor with hearty *smack* and felt the dull pain of landing hard on her ass as the rest of her followed and she crumpled to the floor.
"Hrrrm! You've got some fight in you! Your sumo needs work, but I do see some potential…" He waited for her to get back to her feet.
"My…what!? I weigh maybe 110 lbs soaking wet, most of that is boobs. Why the hell would I know sumo?!" She hadn't been able to keep the anger from her voice.
Kamado stared back intensely. "Don't expect a warm welcome from everyone! Naturally, some will be slow to trust an outsider who literally fell right out of the blue. The superstitious among us might see your arrival as a portent of disaster! But you passed the trial that was put to you. No matter how odd you may seem, you're part of Jubilife Village now." He paused for second.
Is this for dramatic…her thought interrupted but Kamado shouting
"Dedicate yourself to the work of the Galaxy Expedition Team, and complete the Pokedex!" He dropped his voice to a whisper, "But I warn you, Kassi…Pokemon are terrifying creatures. Keep your wits about you as you work!" He didn't say anything more and simply nodded to dismiss her.
Kassi made her way back down and the Professor indicated to join him and Akari in Cyllene's office.
"So the commander has also accepted you." She stood at parade rest in front of her desk. "But understand this. You begin as a No Star recruit among our ranks. In other words, you have no rank at all. Perform well as a member of the Survey Corps, and you will move up through the ranks."
"Indeed! The more of the Pokedex you help complete, the higher your rank you'll become. And working on the Pokedex will also, of course, bring you closer to that goal of yours I'm sure of it." Laventon added.
"Here you'll be needing these." Cyllene handed Kassi a small pamphlet and some coins with square holes in the middle. "This is the crafting instructions for making your own PokeBalls and some money to help buy the necessary materials." She turned to Akari, "Akari. You are an expert at crafting, yourself. Teach our new recruit what she needs to know."
"Yes ma'am, Captain." Akari said, straightening to attention as she spoke, then put a hand on her hip casually as she looked to Kassi. "Get ready for a lesson in crafting! You'll be making a lot of the things you use on your expedition yourself. You can buy some things at the general store. But it's good to be self-sufficient." She smiled brightly, "this way, we can even catch Pokemon in PokeBalls we've crafted ourselves!"
The pure joy Akari seemed to show at that thought made Kassi's heart skip a beat. It was like listening to a child talk about their favorite toy. There was nothing but innocent happiness in the young woman at that moment.
Akari led Kassi out of the hall. There at the bottom of the steps stood a beautiful slender woman in a purple kimono . She had black hair that had a dyed stripe of blonde down the middle that was pulled back into a tight bun which she'd pinned into place. "Ah you must be Kassi. The Professor asked that I prepare for you a change of clothes. He also mentioned that you might have some raw silks to offer me. I hope you'll avail yourself…" she looked Kassi up and down, "of the village's humble shops." Handing Kassi a couple of bundles of white cloth, she gave Kassi a wink and strolled off. Kassi tucked it away in her satchel quickly.
Akari had apparently missed that Kassi had been pulled away. "Kassi! Over here!" She called her over to a thatch roofed building next to the Wallflower. A gruff looking man stood out front, eyeing her warily. "Here is the craftworks, they have all the tools to make crafting much easier, but we're going to practice using the field kit. Here are the materials from me as a congratulations for passing your test! Spend the money the Commander gave you on whatever you'd like."
The next couple of hours were spent with Akari practically draped over Kassi as she taught the newcomer how to craft her own Pokeballs. The process was less complicated than Kassi had assumed. Acorns were hollowed out and formed the bottom. The top was made from Tumblestone that had been shaped to match the bottom. Small bits of metal were attached to various holes that a jig in the crafting kit guided her on, those bits were mass produced in the crafting shop for Galaxy Team members to use as needed. Finally, after some time, Kassi had 20 serviceable PokeBalls she'd created herself. It was impossible not to smile widely at her accomplishment.
"Oho! Now that's some fine craftsmanship! Hard to believe this was your first time stepping up to the workbench, my girl!" Leventon said as he walked over and inspected her work, then launching into a small lecture about Pokemon being able to shrink themselves. It ended with him handing her a large leather bound book. "Here's your Pokedex, my dear. Looking forward to your help. Now onward to dinner! My treat!
Dinner was the same potato mochi they'd enjoyed last night. Seemed strange to Kassi that everyone was so excited to eat the same food again, but it was good. After that the sun was getting low and Kassi excused herself to her room. Akari promised to fetch her in the morning to show her where the baths were and how to affix her…unmentionables (she'd been too embarrassed to say the real thing in front of Laventon and Beni).
The room was dimly lit and this time Kassi remembered how cold it could be at night. She found there was a stack of wood just outside her new home and she brought in several sticks to use for the night. Letting out her original three team members, she smiled. Cyndi helped light the fire and she offered the Oran Berries to her team for dinner.
"I'll get some more groceries tomorrow for you guys. Promise." No one seemed to mind.
She looked at her new partner Shinx and was pleased to see that eating the Oran berries seemed to have taken care of the worst of its damage. Now that it had been caught, its aggressive nature seemed to have calmed, slightly. She looked over the Pokemon still and found that it was a boy Shinx.
"So, we need to come up with a name for you little guy." She said, sitting down and inspecting the feline who was flipping his tail annoyance on the other side of the fire from Kassi. She pushed her mind towards Shinx and got a feel for his personality through some of his memories.
He was young, but very proud of what he'd accomplished. He'd been the first of his litter to strike out on his own, and had come from the Deep Water (as he thought of it) to where the strange new Pokemon had arrived (the human village). He had come there seeking to prove himself in combat against the new Pokemon and hopefully evolve into a Luxio in the process. His goal was to become an Alpha, and lead his own pride. Then Kassi has beaten him so easily. His pride was wounded and he felt sorrow and anger at himself having been beaten so easily.
"It's ok little guy. You stick with me and you'll be a powerful Luxray before you know it." She said into his mind. He'd leaped in surprise as she'd done so. He didn't respond, but looked her in the eyes across the fire.
What the heck is an alpha, though? Kassi wondered. The only thing she'd gleaned from her new Pokemon was red eyes. What to name him though? Proud, a warrior, lots of raw energy…Hmm…Sparky is too cutesy…Bolt…is already taken. She thought fondly of her sweet Boltund back home. Storm isn't bad, or Photon.
"Hey, what do you think about Storm or Photon?" Kassi asked.
She felt the Shinx think then nod at Storm. He remembered some of the fierce storms he'd endured as a younger cub. Taking refuge for safety curled underneath his mother.
"Storm it is then!" Kassi stood up and started to strip so she could wipe herself clean in the water she's started heating in the cookpot. No reason to be smelly when she officially bonded with her team tonight.
End Chapter 3 - Next Chapter will start with some extended spicy scenes.
