AN: This epilogue ended up being longer than I planned but I wanted to show how each member of the family was doing after everything that happened. I hope this serves as a satisfactory ending to the story and that you all enjoy it. Thanks so much for reading and I hope you all have a great day :)

Disclaimer: Disney is the owner of Encanto.

It had been a year since the fateful day Bruno's familia had lined his little hallway with notes and he was pleased to say that the tradition had evolved since then. No longer was he the sole person writing the notes, instead, the entire Madrigal household had taken it upon themselves that whenever someone seemed to be having a particularly bad day, they would leave notes scattered around Casita for the person to find and know that they were appreciated and loved. He had experienced such an event several times within the past year and he knew it was nowhere near the last time it would happen.

Now, a year later, all seemed to be going well with the family. Everyone was doing good and Encanto was prospering as the townsfolk learned to rely on each other instead of only the Madrigals. La familia still helped, of course, they just made sure to take time for themselves as well. So many things had happened since he'd returned from the walls, it was hard to keep track of it all. Sitting at the small desk in his room, blank paper before him, Bruno let the memories replay in his mind.

Mamá had taken a step back from her duties, spending more quality time with the family as her age began to get the better of her. She had taken great pleasure in training Mirabel to be the next candle-holder and the two's relationship had flourished as it once had when the girl was a child. The old woman had also managed to mend her relationship with the rest of the Madrigals and she was more at ease than he'd ever seen her with the fate of Encanto no longer weighing so heavily on her shoulders.

Julieta continued to cook for the town, though it had been toned down so that her food was only used in emergencies. That freed her up to explore hobbies she'd had to put aside as her job consumed her life. His eldest sister had recently renewed her love of reading, something she hadn't had time for since they were much younger. She also spent as much time with her family as possible.

Pepa was much the same as Juli. She still provided weather for the town but only if there was a great need for her services. No longer were her emotions toyed with on a near-daily basis, instead, she was free to be herself with no fear of reprimand for letting her emotions show. She took great pleasure in her free time, choosing to spend hours dancing with her husband as they once had.

Agustin was still very accident-prone, somehow managing to find what the familia assumed was every beehive in Encanto. Still, he was as hardworking and caring as always, never letting his family overwork themselves while he was there. He was getting better at remembering to take care of himself as well and made sure never to lean over the side while on ladders.

Félix was as devoted to his family as always, guaranteeing they were well taken care of. He'd become a bit more protective whenever the townspeople would approach, assuring they weren't planning to exploit the family's gifts. The man also had a very stern talk with Señora García concerning her treatment of his son, making sure she understood that Cami would only babysit her son if he chose to.

Isabela has been taking the time to figure out who she truly wanted to be, exploring the personality she had kept hidden behind lock and key for so long. Recently, she's also taken a liking to art, using her pollen pods to make her own vibrantly colored paints. His eldest sobrina is much more relaxed now that she's let her facade drop and her relationship with her siblings has grown all the stronger for it.

Dolores and Mariano were now officially engaged, the young couple having announced it just last week. They were still madly in love and had already begun planning for the future. Though Mariano was originally determined to have as many children as possible, his sobrina had managed to talk her lover down to a more reasonable three. All that would have to wait until after the wedding, of course.

Luisa had trouble relaxing at first but, with some help from her family, managed to figure it out. She greatly enjoys curling up with a good book or simply laying out on the grass while cloud gazing. She still takes care of the donkeys. They may have a newly built fence that keeps them from escaping but the girl realized she missed the beasts after a week and decided to take them on a daily walk.

Camilo was his normal self, though not as insecure as he'd once been. He'd grown more confident in his abilities, no longer needing as many mirrors or pictures of himself to remember what he looked like. The boy still spent time with the village children, making them smile with his antics while their parents shopped nearby and had pulled numerous pranks, some of which Bruno had helped the boy with.

Mirabel was growing into her role as the future candle-holder, taking on the responsibilities as if she were born for them, which she probably was. It was great to see how she shone now that she'd been given the chance. She was kind, compassionate, and understanding to all those around her... and she was happy. The blinding smile that was a permanent fixture on her face brought joy to all those who knew her and it was clear that, even after all the heartache she'd suffered, Mira would be just fine.

Antonio, having recently had his sixth birthday, continued hanging out with his animals and exploring the depths of his gift. Parce was a constant companion, keeping the child safe from all danger and teaching the boy about nature. He'd already started showing the adults ways to interact with the world around them without leaving any lasting damage. The animals, and his familia, couldn't be more proud.

As for Bruno, he was healing. There was still a long way to go, after all, he had years of trauma to work through, but he was making progress and that's all that mattered. He was fully accepted by his family, quirks and all. It felt nice knowing that he now had people he could rely on, that had his back when it seemed the rest of the world was against him. His familia had even stood up to the villagers for him back when the community was still wary of his return and what it meant for Encanto.

Bruno and Camilo had bonded over a shared love of acting and, more often than not, you could usually find them and Mirabel spending their days together. The trio were nearly inseparable, the two teens having taken it upon themselves to make sure their tio was never lonely again. Sure, their attention was overpowering at times, but the others were somehow able to tell when he needed time alone and backed off so that he was never fully overwhelmed.

The familia, as a whole, was thriving. It was clear for all to see if they only took the time to look, and he couldn't be more proud. Sighing in content, the man smiled softly as he stared down at the paper sitting on the desk before him, picking up his pen as words flooded his mind. This wasn't a normal note. It wasn't meant for a specific member of his family. Rather, it was meant for him or anyone who needed a little reminder of all they'd gone through and what they had to show for it.

The seer was home alone at the moment, the rest of la familia Madrigal having gone off to do their own thing. That was fine, however, as this was something he wished to do without an audience. Slowly making his way outside, Casita waved a tile in greeting as the dark-haired man approached the inspiration board and tacked the newest note in place, right in the middle so it was displayed for all to see. Rereading the words, Bruno's smile grew.

Behind you, all your memories.

Before you, all your dreams.

Around you, all who love you.

Within you, all you need. - Bruno

The note he fixed to the board was the first one he'd taken the time to sign. Even after coming out of the walls, he tended to leave the notes void of his signature. With everyone else signing theirs, he didn't really see a point. They'd know who it was from regardless, so why bother? Now, though, he wanted them all to know he was proud of what he'd accomplished, how he'd helped his familia even while being absent from their lives. Looking over the board, he nearly lost himself as memories washed over him, a final thought making itself known as grateful tears filled his eyes. He wasn't bad luck Bruno any longer, no, he was the escritor misterioso of the Madrigals... and he was exactly where he was supposed to be.
