Surge saw the vial of green liquid. A grey metal mush floated up and down the chamber, which seemed to be a poetic commentary about why the fuck they were wasting time. "Oh wow, look-y there, a fucking pile of grey goo. Whoopdie fucking do."

Faker boy groaned, rubbing his fingers through his quills, agitated, "The Metal Virus didn't exist until a few months ago. Which means Starline was here recently." His words actually made a lot of Sense.

Surge looked down at Drippy, who perked up with interest. Surge…admittedly shared his interest, "Alright Drippy, get on the computer and do your nerd shit."

The blue fennec ran into the white walled room and jumped in the chair. His water tentacles sprouted out as he adjusted the chair, and he quickly hacked Starline's shit. Surge growled with a sense of eagerness. "Fucker thinks his stuff is safe over here? About to find out what I can do from a hundred miles away."

"Well, it's nice to know you're invested-" Sonic started, his smug, bitch-as voice getting under Surge's skin.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Surge shouted at him, sparking her fists to get him to quiet down. Unfortunately, she was far too nice to pummel the look off his face. The faker held up his hands in surrender.

Surge looked up at the Screen while Faker-boy walked around. Kit pulled up the videos and pulled up the first one. Music began to play.

All the thoughts… keep piercing this broken mind-

Surge growled, "Kit, I'm not in the mood for Star-bitch's poetry songs!" The Fennec quickly moved and shut off the automated music. Kit restarted the video.

"H-hello… no, no, needs to be more sophisticated… Greetings… no-no." A voice said under the camera which appeared to be showing and older version of the room. The camera violently shook, before it dropped down, and Surge saw an achene-littered platypus. She almost laughed as she realized that was Starline.

"Article log… one dash… one. I have begun my life of scientific-crime, to follow in the glorious footsteps of doctor Eggman!" His stupid fucking voice became more and more "sophisticated" as he spoke.

"I have recently established this foothold within the greenie… no,no,no,no, deciduous forest as a subbase to carry-" Surge had enough.

"Alright, Drippy, skip to the good parts." Surge growled balling a fist.

"m-Ma'am, there isn't anything about us here." Kit mumbled, scrolling down the screen, as several sections were dated to over three years ago.

Surge grit her teeth, "Fine, let's go. Fuck this place!"

Faker dared to clear his throat, "Look, I want to check around here… I think Starline might have something else made here, and the Metal Virus has me nervous."

Surge looked at Kit, who was clearly searching through hundred of logs, "Fine, Kit, look around, I'm takin' a fucking break." Surge walked around and slumped back against a wall.

The Sound of Starline's voice stirred up a special kind of anger in her. Surge also noticed something about the faker boy. He was standing around, cycling between looking at the green tube, at what appeared to be some sort of radar, and then back at her.

Surge was getting pissed off already. If he had Something to say, then he should just come out and fucking say it. Surge shook her head, and stayed focused…. On nothing. Surge began to tap her foot, before finally taking it upon herself to figure out what the fuck was wrong with the faker.

"Alright, bitch, what's wrong with you?" Surge growled, getting tired of the passing glances.

"The Metal Virus… it hurt a lot of people." Faker sighed, looking at the screen, which flashed the bright colors [inert]. "When you got stabbed in the face… your cheeks."

"Yeah-yeah, healed with the metal-do-hickey. Big fucking deal. I'm not contagious." Surge rolled her eyes, this bitch really could worry about anything, couldn't he?

Sonic shook his head, "I don't want anymore of this stuff to exist. I just don't know how to get why he would save something like that? No one got anything out of it. The metal virus was-"

KILL SONIC, KILL SONIC, KILL SONIC!

"I know the fucking story, get on with it!" Surge groaned, slamming her foot into the ground. Sonic scowled at her and shook his head.

Sonic then dipped his head down low, "I don't know how to kill it."

Surge blinked, actually surprised, especially since Sonic was supposedly the reason the Metal Virus was gone in the first place. "Well how'd you deal with it before? Shouldn't be that fucking hard to deal with it again."

Sonic shook his head, "I had Super Sonic, and Super Silver with me. I don't have the chaos emeralds anymore, so it's basically indestructible."

"Oh for pete-fucking-sakes." Surge groaned and spun up, firing Millions of volts into the chamber. The Grey mush went jagged, before the tube exploded, and faker dove away. The grey mush soared through the air, and landed on everyone.

Sonic tried to roll on the ground, but the virus touched him… and promptly fell off. Surge was glad too, because one: She used most of her stored electricity, and two: She got hit as well.

"Problem solved." Surge grinned, and threw her hands up. She felt… different.

"T-thanks. You're awesome you know." Sonic flashed her a thumbs up.

KILL SONIC, KILL SONIC, KILL SONIC!

Surge rolled her eyes, "I'm not your fucking friend. Stop trying to be buddy-buddy with me. I don't have friends!" Surge noticed Kit's ears perked up.

"Come on, you could have some friends. It's not so bad." Sonic had that stupid fucking smile plastered on his face.

Surge rolled her eyes, "How greedy are you? Can you not handle the idea that some people don't fucking like you."

Sonic shook his head, "And why don't you like me?" Faker was getting really punchable.

"Starline screwed with my head. I don't like you because I fucking hate you." Surge smiled her own smug smile, hoping to throw him off. No such luck.

Sonic shook his head, "You don't have to be whatever-"

"-recently came across two possible contestants for the Chimera program… I'll keep a close eye on these… odd creatures." Star-dweebs voice echoed through the room.

Kit perked up, "M-Ma'am!"

Surge was already over there. What was Starline going on about.

"A Hippopotamus and a curious little Tenrec. Notably, she-" The screen suddenly froze. Surge had patience… and lost it quickly.

"WHAT THE FUCK! Finish the damn thought you stupid duck-faced piece of shit!" Surge stomped on the ground, her teeth gritting as electrical bolts shot out of her eyes and fists.

"I don't think so, my lovely failed experiment." Starline's voice came through the screen, and his smug ass face sat in a velvet chair, a glass of whiskey with a single ice cube in his hand.

Surge growled, "You Son-of-a-Bitch! Turn it back on!" She shouted.

"I don't think so. I must say it is quite remarkable, and I suppose you should deserve some reward for your hard effort… and… oh my, Mr. Hedgehog, what an honor… are you two perhaps working together?" Starline's smug voice echoed through the room, prompting even Sonic to look annoyed.

"Yeah… you might say we have an agreement." Sonic put up a smug look on his face. The two seemed to star each other down.

"Hmm… Well, I would be careful. She's not exactly know for loyalty." Starline mocked, prompting Surge to grin with a fist.

"Why don't you come down here, have a little talk, maybe share a few secret. You might be in for a shock yourself." Surge grinned up at the doctor.

"Perhaps… Or… Perhaps I could retrieve you after I'm done." Starline smirked down at her.

The room suddenly flashed a bright red color, "Self-Destruct initiated."

Sonic suddenly jerked at Surge, "WE got to go!"

Surge growled, "Not yet, Starline, let me see!"

The Screen went black, the last sight was of Starline's smug, Cocky smile.

Faker grabbed her hand, and grabbed Kit. They zipped out of the door way just before it closed and locked.

"LET GO OF ME, I NEED TO SEE-" Surge pounded the faker's arm as a spike shot into his foot, his arm and chest.

Sonic interrupted with a gasp, "Nothing, it's not worth our lives." They hit the elevator, and faker slumped, before pulling out his bag of rings. He was bleeding, pretty bad.

A loud *TING* sound echoed through the air as the ring dissolved, and his wounds began to close. Sonic panted.

"What are you so worried about? We almost lost it there!" Sonic groaned, panting in pain.

"I know he fucking has something on me! I know He recorded some shit about my past!" Surge shouted, "I want to know!"

Sonic panted, but starred at her as the Elevator opened. His wounds were closed, and Surge stormed out.

Kit jumped in, "I-I wanna know too."

Surge growled. It was wasn't fair. Faker cost her that knowledge she so desperately craved!

"IT doesn't matter." He dared to grumble. Surge whipped around pinned him against the Elevator.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Surge shouted at him.

"It doesn't matter." Sonic grumbled, clearing his throat as if trying to remove her forearm from it, "Your past doesn't matter. You decide where you go now."

Surge felt her face get hot with rage, "YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT!"

"I know enough to say you probably wouldn't recognize your younger self." He dared to grin her way. Surge was about to flatten his face.

She growled, before he sighed.

"You know what… I'm sorry. I get it, you want to know more. Starline has bases littered all over this continent. We might find something there." Sonic held up his hands in surrender.

Surge felt her chest heaving, but her mind was calming down, "Good."

"If we run into them while getting my friends." Faker stated, he had that punchable grin on his face.

Surge grit her teeth, "We can get your fucking friend later!" She balled her fists at him.

Sonic growled, and pushed her back, "NO! Those videos aren't going anywhere. My friends are suffering! We'll do them together, or not at all." His shouted as Surge fell onto the ground.

For the briefest moment she actually felt a little scared from his outburst.

"I don't have to listen to you!" Surge growled, pushing a finger into his chest, "I can leave whenever!"

Sonic took a breath. He then promptly turned around, and bolted. Surge felt a little confused before realizing the Faker was getting away.

Surge pursued, leaving Drippy in the dust. He seemed to run until he stopped for whatever reason.

"Hey, Faker-boy, what the fuck was that." Surge shouted, feeling slightly brushed off. She was not used to being ignored.

"I've got people to save. If you don't want to help me, fine, but I'm not paying for any meals if you don't help me save my friends." Sonic strong armed. The motherfucker was actually pushing his weight around.

Surge had to fold, unfortunately. She was not too keen on eating raw fish and doing business in the woods if she could help it, "Fine, but you're going to help me if I help you!"

Sonic smiled at her, "See, we can work together. Now, up we go!" Faker pointed at the tree, which was not a tree, but a powerline, which had frozen cables going along the frozen river.

Surge whipped around to see Drippy coming along, panting, "Alright Kit, throw us up!" The Fennec panted, but gave his best salute.

Sonic and Surge soared through the air as the water tentacles threw them up. The two landed on the post.

"Alright, what are we looking for?" Surge groaned, hating this hedgehog who wasn't playing her game anymore.

"That!" The Faker pointed at the cloud of wasp-things. They were robots.

Surge and Sonic rode the power lines, until they were noticed by the metal wasps. Faker jumped up, and spun into the first one, bouncing off, before jumping to the next one. Surge followed suite, hitting her own cluster of metal bugs, before falling back on their frozen rail.

"They're here! The Hedgehog and Freak!" Eggman's voice echoed across the base that appeared below. Surge growled, before jumping down, ready to crush some of the little machines that were coming out.

"Ha-ha, time to fucking die!" She screamed in joy, rushing the through a wave of pawns, and springing off of the jump pad, onto the roof of a facility. She saw the power box and smashed it as Faker jumped down from the Chord.

"Nice work." He smiled at her.

"Please, This wasn't even fun. Hey Egg-bitch, Got anything for me?" Surge shouted at the speakers. A building opened and the Doctor's face appeared on a rising screen.

"You keep getting in my way, why are you even working with the Hedgehog? Aren't you supposed to destroy him?" The Doctor Asked, frustrated out of his mind.

"I'm a bit of Freak," Surge growled with a grin, "I make Freaky decisions."

"Right, well, enjoy this!" The Building next to theirs fired a bunch of rockets at the base of the structure. Surge and Sonic ran on top of the building, before the roof collapsed in.

There appeared to be a rocket pod firing up at them.

Surge brought her spinning electric ball down on it, splitting the thing into explosions. A piece of shrapnel imbedded itself in her forearm. Surge yanked it out, but not before the Faker boy saw it.

"You, ok?" he asked, actually concerned.

"I'll be fine… see?" Surge pointed at the cut on her arm. Nothing happened, "I said, I'll be fine." Surge growled, and the wound closed. Sheesh, she was getting slow.

"Anything here?" Sonic asked, looking around. The building seemed to be used for storage, but most of the boxes were empty.

"Let's check the next one, I'm tired of looking through shitty scrap." Surge grumbled, flipping over another box.

They went to the one that was over the river. There appeared to be an unfrozen rectangle of water, inside. Surge saw a couple computers, which made her curious.

The door on the other side blew open, and Kit emerged, his eyes glowing, before he saw her. Then he calmed down. The Fennec ran across one of the catwalks, running over the frozen river to meet up with her.

"What took you so long?" Surge asked, with a smug look on her face.

"Sorry ma'am." Kitsunami slumped. Gosh, did he have to be so pathetic? Part of her should be grateful, as he was hopelessly loyal to her, but still… it got old.

"LEVIATHAN?" Sonic mumbled, looking at the screen.

Surge walked over and looked up. A giant Turtle Badnik was on the screen. Bunch of rockets, bunch of shields.

Surge grumbled, "Well, looks like we missed it." Surge laughed, before realizing that meant more searching.

"It wasn't built for Tails…" Faker mumbled, and Surge saw a second computer. She ran over to check it out.

"KRAKEN?" Surge whispered, looking at the giant whale badnik on the screen

Two were made at the same time. Not that Surge cared. "Nothing here."

Sonic sighed, "Alright, let's get keep going."

They walked up the frozen river, the doctor's little name sticking in Surge's mind. Faker was absolutely easy to hate, he was insufferably nice, and an absolute white sheet in terms of morality. Still… he might be a little honest. What did she care, though?

Surge just kept moving.

"Are you alright? You're upset, I can see that." Sonic stated, actually daring to give her a look of concern.

"I'm fucking fantastic!" Surge snarled, and while probably not entirely fair to the hedgehog, fuck him.

"You look a little upset." Sonic smiled at her, trying coax out some piece of some imaginary insecurity that didn't exist at all.

"Watch your fucking step faker, You're walking on thin –" The three suddenly went airborne as a Giant Metal turtle broke the Frozen river with a lunge.

Surge found herself grinning. Time to crush the tin can!
