The Mushroom Planet
On the mushroom planet that Sonic would've visited if he decided to go there, everything is...well, full of mushrooms. One of them comes to life, pushing up a bowl with a rock in it. The rock rolls down to another one, and then it pushes a mushroom. The mushroom hits another one, which then hits a different rock. The rock hits a trail of rocks, all of them being placed one by one in a wheel mechanism. This powers up a water bowl to a big mushroom, which is lifted down to a pile of dirt. A stream of water forms and a mushroom falls onto a swing, which goes to another one. The mushroom weighs down another swing, knocking down some more mushrooms. The last one pushes off a big rock, who pushes a moving cart by string. The cart is revealed to be carrying a bowl pushed by a mini Sonic in the front and a mini Sophia in the back, with mushrooms for wheels. The big rock rolls around as some beans are placed into the tiny cart...and they all fall down into some spikes, indicating to...well, impale the hedgehogs. And then the giant rock from before crushes them, revealing Robotnik's face on it. The beans are made into a juice that falls into a mushroom cup.
"Doctor's log," Robotnik speaks up while picking up his drink. "It is Day 243 in this...portabello purgatory," He sits down while muttering, looking at the blue quill he still had from his last encounter with his enemies. "My only companion is a rock I named Stone," He stirs his drink using the quill, with the rock near him being a replica of Stone's face. He taps the quill against the cup to dry it. "The question is...for whom am I narrating this?" He sticks his tongue out, putting it to the quill, but it just ends up shocking him.
He then starts to pull out parts from his Eggpod. "It seems I have become a feature player in the theater of the absurd. Marooned in deep space by that wretched blue rodent and that pink twit. But it is all good thanks to a breathable atmosphere and my supreme intellect, sharpened against the only competitor savvy enough to br-r-r-r-ing it."
He starts playing chess using the mushrooms to do so. He takes a mushroom and pushes it forward. "Chantrelle to D4." He looks at a giant rock mirror that he's using to play against himself, similar to how Sonic played baseball with himself once. "Hmm?" He tries to think of the next move.
"I have been striving to make fungi into a functional drink of choice..."
He lifts up the cup to his nose to sniff it. "Mushroom coffee..." He sips it, but immediately spits it out afterwards. He tries another one, but it's the same result.
"With limited..."
The rock squeezes out more mushroom juice.
"Limited..."
He tries three more cups, but all of them end up not being good as he either gags it or spits them out. He picks up another cup.
"Limited..."
Once again, he spits it out.
"Success."
This time, he spits it out so that it trickles down his chin and from his nose. He then starts pulling out wires from his Eggpod.
"But today, day 243 has brought a new optimism to my most pressing endeavor," He walks up to a giant mushroom as he's holding rods and a pole. He's used this big mushroom to make it into a radio tower or a transceiver for a satellite.
"Planetus exodus to returnecus and kick blue/pink buttecus!"
He climbs to the top of the mushroom, going towards a monitor control panel, opening it up. "If my calculations are correct, and there is no reason to say this, because they are always are," He lifts up a jumper cable with Sonic's quill in it. "This quill...is going to power my masterpiece."
He takes another jumper cable. "Let's light this candle...and see who comes a-knocking," He connects them together to energize the machine, and it does with blue energy. The tower then creates a shockwave, sending Robotnik to the ground. The shockwave actually goes out to space to stretch out a blue light before everything's gone like it never happened.
Later on at night, Robotnik is still laying at the spot where he fell earlier. He's still holding the blue quill in his hand as he looks to be either unconscious or asleep. A ring portal opens up in front of him, and a spear slowly comes out of it. A trio of scavengers with chicken skulls for helmets holding spears walk out of the ring portal. The leader notices Robotnik and slowly walks up to him. He slowly bends down to the man as he slowly approaches. He lightly taps Robotnik with his spear, and Robotnik doesn't react. The man notices the quill and Robotnik's hand and reaches out to take it. However, before he can, Robotnik's head snaps up as he wakes up.
"Greetings!"
The person backs away from Robotnik immediately, who grabs a handful of grass, and then pulls it upwards. A giant mushroom hits the ground, causing the other smaller ones to spin. The scavengers are alarmed by this, and the leader steps into a rope trap. He screams as he's catapulted away into the distance to who knows where.
"Klatuu Barata Nikto!" Robotnik says, kicking a mushroom and a giant one spins, revealing another trap as a giant log sends the second one flying. The last one opens up its spear to reveal twin red blades and he spins them around. Robotnik just stares at him, who holds up his control glove. "Agent Stone, now."
The Eggpod engine goes off to burn off a rope. That rope is a catapult to release 'Stone,' or at least the rock of his likeness. Robotnik ducks his head and the giant rock hits the scavenger in the face, causing him to fall down. Robotnik laughs in victory. "Thank you, Stone." He stands up, looking to the ring portal still active. "It's time to say goodbye to this..." He takes a deep breath. "Piece of shiitake planet!" He licks the quill, electrocuting himself again. He then dashes for the ring portal to make his escape...but before he can, a figure is standing in the way. He slides to a stop in alarm, falling onto the ground. The figure has on white boxing gloves with two spikes, revealing himself to be an anthropomorphic echidna. His eyes glow red as he approaches Robotnik, who quickly notices the quill.
"Where did you get that?" He demands the man. Robotnik quickly glances to the quill, holding it up for the echidna to see.
"From a little blue menace on the planet called Earth." The echidna looks to Robotnik, a stern look on his face. "I'd be happy to show you the way..." Robotnik gives a little smile since he could use this stranger to not only get revenge on Sonic and Sophia, but to get back home...
Angel: Yup, finally doing this movie! I am so excited for this one since I love it more than the first movie alone for how much they improved on it. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually gonna like writing Sonic and Sophia's relationship in this? Maybe it's because she's a hedgehog and not a human now so it makes it less weird unlike the first one because I don't like human/hedgehog romantic relationships.
And yes, I took a while to release it, I know people in reviews kept pointing it out to me, but I wasn't that far into the movie when I got those messages. So you guys can stop asking me now why I didn't release it sooner, I can't release content that wasn't ready yet. Stop acting like I'm gonna release something at your insistence to those who got impatient *blank look* Don't forget that this is a 2-hour movie still.
Also, if you haven't done so, read my interpretation of the first movie or else it will not make sense to newcomers (or just re-read it for a refresher since it has been like almost a year since I wrote it).
And just before I posted this, I read this…very disturbing guest review from one of Shaeryl Macbrown's stories, from My Little Montana and it was regarding this universe…and I'm just gonna say to read that at your own risk. But definitely don't read that review while eating because I almost threw up after reading it.
You have been warned.
