Sally spun the wheel one last time.
It landed on Tails. "Hey Tails, truth or dare?"
"Definitely truth."
"Rate everyone in the room using one word."
"This might take a while, but here it goes. Silver is passionate. Vector's commanding. Sorry about that. Zooey's a ten." He winked at her. "You're determined. Charmy's boyish, I think. Espio is unmovable. Shadow's mysterious. Sonic's desperate. Knuckles is strong. Rouge is…" He hesitated. "Unscrupulous. Sorry. Blaze is ambitious. Cream is sweet. Amy's beautiful."
Amy put her hand to her mouth and blushed.
"Woah, you were fast!" Sally remarked.
"I didn't think I could even speak that fast. I just said the first thing that came to mind. Anyway, it's my turn to spin." He spun himself at first, then spun again for Knuckles.
"Knuckles, truth or dare?" He chose truth almost immediately.
"Do you work out just to impress people? Specifically, ladies?"
"Get this, kiddo. I work out to get stronger. If ladies are impressed with how strong I am, more power to them. So I guess, indirectly yes. But practically no."
"I'm hearing a bunch of excuses." Vector razzed, being the other strongman in the room.
"Are you calling me a showoff? I'm an alpha male!"
Vector laughed at that. "Your choice of words betrayed you."
"Are you calling me a liar?" Knuckles barked.
"Let it go, boss." Espio grumbled. "You'll never reach a reasonable conclusion this way."
Vector was dumbfounded. Knuckles spun the wheel during this time. "Charmy! It's your turn once more. Truth or dare?"
"I'll stick with truth for now."
"What do you think of your team members?"
"Oh, um. Espio's not much of a people person. He really only talks if spoken to, and that's not all the time. He does the job though. Vector is the voice of the team. I'm kinda shy, so I don't really talk too much. He's a little bossy, but a technical genius. Gets paid well, too."
Knuckles stirred him on. "Does he give himself a larger salary?"
"Yeah. Zooey, could you open the curtain?"
Zooey did that to reveal multiple cars lined up outside Rouge's large house.
"You see that blue one? The Ferrari? That's his."
"Aw man, I just washed it!" Vector complained, referencing the huge thunderstorm outside. "But yes, that's mine. She's a beauty, no?"
"I'd say!" Tails chimed in. "What's the price tag on a beast like that?"
"I'll leave that unmentioned. It does see some work use, though. I'm not greedy."
No one noticed, but Charmy had already spun Shadow.
"Hey, Shadow!" He got the people's attention. "Truth or dare?"
Shadow seemed surprised. "Dare." He said, playing consistently.
"You and Sonic. Switch positions." He challenged, pointing to him sitting in Shadow's lap. "I'll bump the time up to twenty minutes." Charmy grinned mischievously.
"Why you little punk! You need to be taught a lesson." Shadow threatened, in a voice so monotone, no one took him seriously. However, he complied. Sonic sat with Shadow on his lap, one arm around his chest. Shadow leaned his head on Sonic's shoulder, to the players' amusement. "This is so humiliating." He seethed.
"Is he fluffy?" Charmy asked Sonic.
"Yeah, he kind of is." Sonic had to admit. "Not very light either."
"The ultimate lifeform has to be strong." Shadow explained. "I weighed 35 kilos when I was created. I don't know about now. Sonic's a lightweight."
Once Tails' phone was handed to him, Shadow spun. "Tails again?" He wondered. "Well, Tails, it's you. Truth or dare."
"Dare." He said confidently, looking right back at Shadow.
"Allow me one moment." Shadow kept scrolling on Tails' phone.
"Whatcha doing there?" Tails asked.
"I'm looking for tonight's forecast. Here it is. Storms all night. Tails, your dare is to go home alone, shut your power off, and keep it off until sunrise."
Tails was horrified. "Wait, what?"
"That's right. Go home alone in the dark. I'll grudge you the use of a small flashlight, but you can't use your goggles."
"But the storm! Look at it, it's going!"
"I know." Shadow snickered. "It's time to see your fear start rising!"
"It's only ten pounds, Tails." Zooey advised. "You can quit if you need to."
Tails heard her, but did not respond. "I'll show you true fear!" He growled. "I accept."
"Quite a move, bud! Trying to impress someone?" Sonic teased.
"Shadow. I can't show him fear. It won't end if I do."
"Not even a particular vixen?"
"Keep it down, Nicky." Tails jeered, referencing Amy's pet name for him. "Guess whose turn it is again?" Tails spun, landing on Espio.
"Dare."
"Here's a good one. Tell me all the girls you've ever loved."
"You promise not to tell anyone else?"
"Maybe…"
Espio whispered a few things in Tails' ear for barely a second.
"Her!" Tails seemed shocked. "The one I'm thinking of?"
Espio nodded. "Is there any other?"
"Hey, Tails! What did he say?" Vector roared.
"Nothing that concerns you." Espio retorted, slightly blushing.
"Are you okay, Espio?" Charmy asked. "I've never seen you like this."
"If he can keep his mouth shut, I will be." Espio spun the wheel, landing on Blaze. "Alright, Blaze. It's truth or dare."
"Dare."
"I'll take a line out of Charmy's book. I dare you to give Silver a French kiss."
"I refuse. I told him I loved him just tonight. We've already begrudged you a kiss on the lips, but this is too much."
"It's just a little upping the intensity."
"No. It is enough." Blaze quickly stood up, saluted Espio with a quick nod, and walked away. Right over to Silver, who stood beside the couch. Silver held her hand, getting some "Awws" from the players.
