Welcome back to the Modern Sonic and Sonic Boom crossover special. Previously, both Team Sonic and the Modern team have meet each other and introduced to one another. In Episode 2, Team Sonic, the Modern team, and Modern Eggman go to Boom Eggman's lair to borrow his interdimensional portal to send the Modern characters home, but during in a battle with Boom Eggman, one huge accident caused Boom Eggman's portal to be severely damaged and it will take about a week to be fixed. Here is Episode 2, "Accidents WILL happen".

Episode 2: Accidents WILL happen.
At an island called Bygone Island, Team Sonic were giving the Modern team a tour of their homeland.
"My, my. You sure have a nice homeland." said Modern Tails.
"I never thought I would say this but, I really like this place" said Modern Shadow. "It's a shame that my counterpart tried to destroy it before."
"Why thank you. I knew you would love this place." said Boom Amy.
"This is a place where I can try to take over and make Bygone Island an expansion to my glorious Eggman Empire." said Modern Eggman.
"Like that's ever going to happen, Egghead."
said Boom Sonic.
"As long we're around, we will stop you from doing so." said Modern Sonic.
Modern Eggman growled in annoyance. "You're lucky I'm not going to do that right now, you meddling hedgehogs. But I will conquer this island and the world in my dimension whenever I feel like it."
"Speaking of dimensions, we need to get back to ours." said Modern Knuckles. "I need to get back to Angel Island."
"Angel Island? Is that an Island full of angels?" said Boom Knuckles.
"No, you simpleton! Angel Island is a floating island in our dimension and Knuckles is the guardian of that said island." said Modern Eggman, correcting Boom Knuckles.
"Come with us. We'll go to our Eggman's base. He has a interdimensional portal machine to send you guys back." said Boom Tails.
Team Sonic and the Modern team head over to Boom Eggman's base to borrow his interdimensional portal machine to send the Modern team home.
(At Boom Eggman's base.)
Inside the base, Boom Eggman is sitting on the couch, ready to watch a movie.
"Orbot! My controller! Cubot! My popcorn!" He demanded
Boom Orbot and Cubot brought the items Boom Eggman demanded. Boom Eggman is ready for his quality time. But suddenly, Boom Eggman hears some knocking.
"Who or what can that be?" asked Boom Eggman to himself.
Boom Eggman goes to the front door of his base and opens the door, revealing Team Sonic and the Modern team.
"Oh, it's you. What do all of you want?" asked Boom Eggman.
"Hey, Eggman. Can you let us borrow your interdimensional portal machine to send these 5 home?" asked Boom Tails.
"Sure, I'll let you borrow it. But first, minions, attack!" said Boom Eggman.
Boom Eggman summons an army of robots, much to the Boom and Modern heroes and Modern Eggman's dismay.
"Here we go again." said Sticks.
"You sent these pathetic robots from last time again, doctor? I expect better." said Modern Shadow.
The heroes and Modern Eggman are seen destroying Boom Eggman's robots. Later, most of the robots have been destroyed. Modern Eggman picks up a nearly destroyed robot and looks at his Boom counter part.
"Hey, you Eggman wannabe, remember this? I've done this to you once and I'll do it again only this time you WILL feel the pain." said Modern Eggman.
Modern Eggman throws the robot. Boom Eggman screams as he dodges the hunk of scrap metal. The hunk of junk metal hits Boom Eggman's interdimensional portal machine. But because Modern Eggman threw the robot with such force, the machine is seen sparkling and then the machine was broken.
"You idiot! That was our only way home!" yelled Modern Knuckles.
"Don't blame me, Knucklehead! My pathetic counterpart moved out of the way!" argued Modern Eggman.
"Oh, just great. Thanks for getting us stuck here, Egghead." said Modern Sonic.
"Oh, so all of you muskrats are going to blame me?!" asked Modern Eggman.
"Well, it kind of was your fault, Eggman." said Boom Amy.
"Why you...!" Yelled Modern Eggman as he charged at Team Sonic. But the Modern team are restraining him.
"Is your Eggman always like that?" asked Boom Knuckles.
"Well, sometimes." Modern Tails responded.
Modern Shadow asked Team Sonic. "Can your Eggman probably fix the machine?"
"Eggman, can you fix your portal generator?" asked Boom Tails.
"The machine can still be repaired. Unfortunately, it'll take about a week to have it fully repaired." said Boom Eggman.
Team Sonic and the Modern heroes all glared at Modern Eggman.
"Well, on the bright side, it wouldn't take a long time for the generator to be fixed." Modern Eggman said, nervously.
"I never knew this Eggman could be so vicious, yet he's so dumb." said Sticks
"I'll show you dumb, you horrible badger!" Yelled Modern Eggman as he chases Sticks.
Sticks screams as she is being chased by Modern Eggman. "Get back here!" screamed Modern Eggman. The Modern heroes restrain Modern Eggman yet again.
"Eggman, stop. That is never going to get us back home." said Modern Knuckles.
"And your anger isn't going to make things better. But I can help you bring down your anger with anger management." said Boom Amy.
"I don't need your stupid anger management nonsense, you pink pain in the side." said Modern Eggman.
Boom Amy got angry and yelled "First of all, my anger management class isn't stupid and second of all, I don't like your tone! Well, I can fix that!" She pulls out her hammer, ran and jumped in the air. But Modern Eggman punched the hammer out of Boom Amy's hand. Boom Amy then landed on the floor.
"I got to say that Amy in my dimension is less of an arrogant jerk than you are." said Modern Eggman. Just when Modern Eggman was about to hurt a defenseless Boom Amy, the Modern team held Modern Eggman back for a third time.
"It's best you don't say anything stupid that would make our Eggman even more angry." said Modern Tails.
"You're right, Tails from another dimension. I never thought I'd be saying this but the other Egghead sure scares me." said Boom Sonic.
"Yeah, he's scary." Boom Knuckles whimpered.
Just when Modern Eggman's calming down, he then sees Boom Orbot and Cubot.
"Oh, can this day get any worse? I thought those to bolt-heads are still in the other dimension and now they're here?!" Modern Eggman angrily thought.
"What happened here, doctor?" Boom Orbot asking Boom Eggman.
"None of your business. Now help me fix this." Boom Eggman responed. He then turns to the heroes and Modern Eggman. "I'll tell you when the portal generator is fixed."
"OK, Egghead. We'll show up later." said Boom Sonic.
And with that, the heroes and Modern Eggman left the base and they would continue their adventures.
(At Boom Tails' home.)
"So what have you done in your dimension, Sonic?" Boom Tails asked Modern Sonic.
"Well, I have fought a huge monster made out of water, monsters named Solaris and Dark Gaia. I even fought a monster that consumes time and dangerous zeti that tried to destroy my world. Speaking of worlds, my Eggman took over it, but in the end, me and my friends have took it back."
"We never had those kind of adventures. We never had those kind of challenges." said Boom Sonic, feeling jealous.
"We have only fought our Eggman and a bunch of wannabe villains." said Boom Amy.
"Speaking of which, our Amy seems to have a huge crush on our Sonic. Our Amy seems to follow and chase our Sonic wherever he goes. She even intends to try to get him to marry her." said Modern Tails.
"Ugh. So unladylike of her. She really needs to grow up." said Boom Amy, feeling disgusted.
"Also Amy, the moment I saw you, I thought you were going to do the exact same thing." said Modern Sonic.
"I would never do anything like your Amy does." said Boom Amy.
"Speaking of which, Sonic. Do you have any feelings for your Amy?" said Modern Eggman, asking Boom Sonic.
Both Boom Sonic and Amy looked at each other nervously.
"Moving on. Tails, our Tails and yourself have many things in common. Both of you are smart, likes to make inventions and both sidekicks of the respective Sonics. said Modern Shadow.
"Well, I'm not really my Sonic's sidekick, but I am his best friend." said Boom Tails.
"And I'll admit that some of my inventions malfunction."
"Well, if you want to, I can fix them for you." said Modern Tails.
"That's OK. I can try to fix them myself." said Boom Tails.
"In my world, I guard a huge emerald on Angel Island called the Master Emerald." said Modern Knuckles.
"Is it shiny?" said Boom Knuckles.
Annoyed, Modern Knuckles said. "Yes. It's shiny. But another thing is, one female bat in my world, named Rouge, tries her best to try to steal it."
"Wow. This Rouge girl seems like nice lady." said Boom Knuckles.
Modern Knuckles jumped on Boom Knuckles and yelled "No! She isn't a nice lady! She is nothing but a thief!"
Modern Shadow spoke up and said "Rouge is also one of my friends. Now I'll tell you my story."
Team Sonic is ready to hear Modern Shadow's story.
"I wasn't born. I was created..." Modern Shadow said before he was interrupted by Sticks.
"By who? Aliens? Your dimension's government?" said the paranoid badger.
"Shadow was created by my great grandfather named Gerald Robotnik." Modern Eggman answered Sticks.
Team Sonic were stunned to find out that Modern Eggman has a huge family in his world.
"I was created in a space station called Space Colony ARK and there was a girl named Maria." said Modern Shadow.
"Excuse me, Shadow, but who is this Maria girl?" asked Boom Tails.
"Maria is a young human girl that meant so much to me and she wanted me to do good things. This may sound disturbing to you 5 but Maria was shot dead before I left Space Colony ARK." said Modern Shadow.
Team Sonic felt disturbed by Maria's death.
"Oh, my gosh. I feel so sorry for her." said Boom Sonic.
"Because of her death, I nearly destroyed the world in my dimension. But I realized that destroying the world wasn't going to bring Maria back. After realizing my mistake, I kept Maria's promise and I now fight for my world and there are times where I would fight alongside Sonic and his friends." said Modern Shadow.
"Oh, darn. You sure had a difficult past." said Boom Amy.
"Speaking of which, how did your Shadow become who he is?" Modern Shadow asked Team Sonic.
"We don't know." said Boom Sonic.
"I know for darn sure that your Shadow doesn't know who Maria is, let alone having a Maria in your world." Modern Shadow said. "Even if your Shadow does know Maria, I bet he didn't live up to her promise as if her promise was irrelevant."
"Well, you already know what I'm trying to do in my dimension. I'm trying to destroy Sonic from my dimension, take over the world and build the Eggman Empire." said Modern Eggman.
"Well, you know our Eggman tries to destroy this village, just to build his theme park." said Boom Sonic.
"Speaking of our Eggman, I wonder how he's doing with the portal." said Sticks.
(Boom Eggman's base.)
Boom Eggman is seen repairing the portal machine, but all of sudden, a piece of the machine is seen flying and knocked a certain tank off the table. Hence, a returning villain would try to make his comeback. But Boom Eggman is unaware of the accident.
"Orbot! Cubot! Give me the piece that flew from this machine." said Boom Eggman.
Orbot and Cubot retrieve the piece and they too were unaware of the returning villain.
Nominatus is making his return.
