Welcome back to the Modern Sonic and Sonic Boom crossover special. This is it. Episode 4: Just a guy 2.0. This episode is inspired by the most notorious Sonic Boom episode "Just a guy" In this episode, Boom Sonic caused another uproar by calling someone "Just a stranger" Will Boom Sonic quit being a hero for good?

(At Boom Tails' workshop.)
Boom Tais is seen inventing something when all of a sudden an alarm is heard.
"Eggman's attacking! Well, this dimension's Eggman to be exact." Boom Tails said.
Boom Tails runs over to his house to warn the Modern team.
"Sonic!" Yelled Boom Tails.
"What is it, Tails?" Modern Sonic asked.
"Our Eggman's attacking! We need to go stop him!" said Boom Tails.
"Shouldn't your Eggman continue fixing that portal generator?" Modern Knuckles asked.
"He should be, but for some reason he wants to attack us." Boom Tails said.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's deal with that clown." Modern Eggman said.
"Are you going to bring your friends with you?" Modern Shadow asked.
"Yes. They can help us." Boom Tails said.
"We sure can use some help." Modern Tails said.
"Tails from this dimension, you get your friends, while me and the boys deal with your Eggman." said Modern Sonic.
"On it, Sonic." Boom Tails responded.
Modern Sonic turns over to the other Modern characters and said "Let's roll out, boys."
"Yeah!" Yelled the Modern group.
The Modern heroes and Modern Eggman all left to deal with Boom Eggman.
"Now I need to get the gang together again." Boom Tails said.
Boom Tails uses his communicator to contact the other members of Team Sonic.
"Uniter Village Defenders of the Village: Unite!" Boom Tails declared.
"I'm on my way, Tails!" Boom Amy said.
"Let's move!" said Sticks.
"I'm on it!" said Boom Sonic.
"Eh... It's really not a good time for me. I'm kinda busy." Boom Knuckles said.
"What?" said Boom Tails.
"Are you out of your mind, Knuckles?" said Boom Sonic.
(At Meh Burger.)
Boom Sonic runs to Meh Burger.
"What do you mean you're busy?" Boom Sonic questioned.
"I was going to watch a movie with Jay."
Jay is revealed as a tan wolf.
"Hey, I'm Jay" said the wolf.
"Uh... Hey. Seriously, we need to go. Eggman's attacking." said Boom Sonic.
"Aw! But tonight is the last day of Jungle Fighter 4." whined Boom Knuckles.
"Jungle Fight 4 can wait. It's important to fight Eggman." said Jay.
"Great! See? Let's get moving!" said Boom Sonic.
"So, where is the battle taking place?" Jay asked.
"Uh... I meant me and Knuckles." Boom Sonic said.
"Why can't he come?" Boom Knuckles asked.
"Yeah, why can't I come?" Jay asked.
"We can't bring you to a dangerous battle... I mean... you're just a stranger." Boom Sonic said.
This is where the uproar begins. The villagers gasped.
"Just a stranger?" the Old Monkey said.
"No! I didn't mean that! What I meant... he's not... you know..." said Boom Sonic.
The villagers all glared at Boom Sonic.
"I think you've said enough" said a disapproving Knuckles.
"Ugh! We don't have time of any of this stuff!" said an annoyed Boom Sonic.
Boom Sonic grabs Boom Knuckles and runs off with him.
(At the desert.)
Boom Tails, Amy and Sticks, alonside the Modern team and Modern Eggman are seen destroying Boom Eggman's badniks, while Boom Eggman is on his Egg Mobile with Orbot and Cubot. Boom Sonic and Knuckles show up.
Boom Sonic spin attacks a Motobug, while Boom Knuckles destroys another.
"I can't believe what you just said to my friend Jay." said Boom Knuckles.
"What did he say?" Boom Tails asked as he destroys a Motobug.
"And who is this Jay you're talking about?" Modern Shadow said as he destroys a Scorpion Bot with a Chaos Spear.
"Hey, you guys! The battle is over here!" Yelled Boom Eggman.
"He called my friend Jay, "Just a stranger"." said Boom Knuckles.
Boom Amy, Sticks and Modern Knuckles gasped.
"How could you, Sonic?!" Boom Amy said to Boom Sonic
"That's so rude of you!" Modern Knuckles said.
"I didn't mean it!" Boom Sonic said.
"Yeah, Sonic. That's a really crummy thing to say to a dude." Boom Eggman teased.
"I much as I hate to agree with my dumb counterpart, but have a little more respect, Sonic." Modern Eggman said to Boom Sonic.
"Ugh!" Boom Sonic groaned as he destroys the rest of Boom Eggman's badniks.
"Well, gotta go back to my lair to continue repairing the portal generator." Boom Eggman said as he and his henchbots fly off. "You know I'm right!"
Boom Tails walks up to Boom Sonic and said "Don't even worry, Sonic. This all end sooner. I know for sure we won't be in this situation again."
(The next day, at the village center.)
Soar the Eagle is giving out a news report.
"It has been years since Sonic the Hedgehog's notorious "Just a guy" comment and now his infamous "Just a stranger" comment shook the foundation of our fair village. I'm now with an angry mob." Soar reported.
Tons of villagers are screaming in protest.
Old Monkey said in anger "First, Sonic barged in and called Mike "Just a Guy" and now, he called Jay "Just a Stranger". He said that, as if he so much better than us. We begged Sonic to stop, but he kept berating the poor fella.
The Walrus male said. "That's Sonic. Living it on the beach. He's lost touch with the common man again."
Boom Eggman snatches the mic and said. "Of all people, he has the gall of saying such a rude thing."
(At Meh Burger.)
"Yeah. Can I get a chili dog?" Boom Sonic asked Dave.
"That sounds complicated. Can you really trust me with that order. After all, I'm "Just a Guy" or "Just a Stranger"." Dave said to Boom Sonic.
Sonic then groans at Dave's remark.
(At Boom Sonic's shack.)
At Boom Sonic's shack, Boom Sonic is walking in circles with the other members of Team Sonic sitting around a table and the Modern team and Modern Eggman standing.
Boom Sonic spoke up "All I did was call him a stranger. Is that stranger not a stranger?"
Boom Amy responded. "Like last time, Sonic. It's not what you said. It's how you said it. But, I think the town can forgive you making an effort to change your condescending high-handed appallingly insensitive attitude.
Boom Sonic in his thought said "Please, not this again. Anything but that."
Boom Amy continued. "Lucky for you, I can give you the sensitivity training program again.
Modern Eggman in his thought said. "Of all people, she has a sensitivity training program?"
Boom Amy continued. "And there is enough spots in the class for everyone here, including Sonic and his friends from another dimension.
Everyone groans.
Boom Knuckles turns to Boom Sonic. "Not cool, Sonic.
"You should've just kept your mouth shut." said Modern Shadow.
(At Boom Amy's house.)
At Boom Amy's house, Team Sonic, the Modern heroes, Modern Eggman, Comedy Chimp, and Fastidious Beaver are making paper hats.
Boom Knuckles spoke up and said. "I still don't know why we have to do all this stupid training just because of Sonic's big dumb mouth."
"As far as I hate to agree, but thank you for dragging all of us in to this mess, Sonic." Modern Knuckles said to Boom Sonic.
Boom Amy blows her whistle. "Uh-uh-uhh. Insensitive remark. This training is not stupid and not a mess. Now, how are everyone's sensitivity hats coming along."
Everyone shows their sensitivity hats. Boom Sonic groans as he shows his hat.
(A few minutes later.)
"When you find yourself frustrated, instead of lashing out at someone else, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and go to your happy place. Let's practice that right now." Boom Amy said.
Everyone closes their eyes and everyone is going into their happy place.
(Boom Sonic's happy place scene begins.)
Boom Sonic is in his hammock, with calming music being heard.
(End of scene.)
(Boom Tails' happy place scene begins.)
Boom Tails is seen flying while doing stunts in the air.
(End of scene.)
(Sticks' happy place scene begins.)
Sticks is seen punching and kicking Boom Eggman's badniks.
(End of scene.)
"That'll teach you for teaming up with alien overlords, you robo-trash!" Sticks said with her eyes closed.
(Modern Sonic's happy place scene begins.)
Modern Sonic is running around Green Hill Zone.
(End of scene.)
(Modern Shadow's happy place scene begins.)
Modern Shadow is riding on his motorcycle while "All of me" is heard playing.
(End of scene.)
(Modern Eggman's happy place scene begins.)
Modern Eggman is laughing evily as he rules the world.
(End of scene.)
(More minutes later.)
"I realize on the outside, I was still hitting my sidekick with a mallet. But in the inside, I was still hitting myself, with a mallet of my own insecurities." Comedy Chimp said before he bursted into tears.
"It's OK, Bro. I like to hit things too." Boom Knuckles said as he and Comedy Chimp hug it out.
Boom Amy sniffs as she wipes away a tear.
"What do you care to share with everyone, Sonic?" Boom Amy asked.
"I guess I should talk to Jay and apologize?" Boom Sonic said.
Everyone, but Modern Knuckles, Shadow, and Dr. Eggman awes and show their hands to Boom Sonic.
"Fine, bring it in." said a fed up Boom Sonic.
The other members of Team Sonic, Modern Sonic, Modern Tails, Comedy Chimp and Fastidious Beaver group hug Boom Sonic. Modern Knuckles and Shadow stood and smiled. Modern Eggman stood in silence.
(At Meh Burger.)
"Listen, Jay. I was wrong to call you just a stranger. Boom Sonic said.
"And...?" said Jay.
"And... I'll never do it again?"
"And...?"
"And if you want, you can join us the next time Eggman attacks." Boom Sonic said.
"Apology accepted. Can we go now?" said Jay.
"No, not yet. We have to wait until Eggman attacks." Boom Sonic responded.
Jay finishes up his drink. "Can we go now?" He asked.
"No." Boom Sonic replied.
"How about now?" Jay asked.
Boom Sonic shut his eyes and whispered to himself. "Just go to your happy place."
(Boom Sonic's happy place scene begins.)
Boom Sonic is in his hammock. Jay walks in.
"Is this your happy place or something? And when are we going to battle now?" Jay asked Boom Sonic.
Boom Sonic groans and closes his eyes.
Boom Sonic is now standing, breathing a sigh of relief. Jay walks in again.
"Is this your happier place? Sweet. Can we go to the battle now?" Jay said.
Boom Sonic growls. A beeping sound is heard.
(End of scene.)
The next is scene is a man in a Sonic costume.
"Oops. One too many."
(Back at Meh Burger.)
Boom Sonic presses a button on his communicator.
"Sonic, our Eggman's attacking!" Boom Tails said through the communicator.
"Now we can go." Boom Sonic said to Jay.
"Hold on a second." Jay said.
Boom Sonic growls as he loses his patience. He then drags Jay to the battle.
(At the desert.)
Boom Sonic and Jay join the other members of Team Sonic, the Modern heroes and Modern Eggman.
Boom Eggman is in his Egg Mobile with Orbot and Cubot on the side seats.
Jay sets down a picnic blanket.
"Behold, my latest invention..." Boom Eggman said before accidentally ejecting Cubot. Cubot lands on Jay's leg.
"Oh, my Goodness. Are you alright, kid?"
Modern Shadow said as he and the other Modern heroes run up to him.
"Oh, boy. That's not good." Boom Sonic said.
(At Hedgehog Village.)
Jay is in a wheelchair with his leg in a cast. Boom Sonic walks the wheelchair through the village with the villagers watching him.
Old Monkey got angry and said "How could you take that fella into a battle? He's not like you, Sonic. He's just a guy.
"Oh, my Gosh. This again? I like did with Mike, I only took him into battle because you people told me to." Boom Sonic said.
The villagers gasped.
The villagers said in sync "You people?"
(At Boom Amy's house.)
Everyone from last meeting has gathered around.
"Alright, maybe our enthusiasm yesterday was premature. As is turns out some people still has a long way to go in their training." Boom Amy said.
In a few moments, the breakdown will begin.
"But I'm sure that we all learn to be compassionate after tomorrow's sensitivity training camping trip!" Boom Amy declared.
Everyone, but the Modern heroes and Modern Eggman started cheering.
This is where Boom Sonic is at his wits end with all of the nonsense he has suffered.
"You know what's compassionate? Saving the village multiple times and I still don't get any props for any of it. Everyone just gasps at me when I call a guy "A guy", a stranger "A stranger", or people "People"!" Boom Sonic ranted.
Everyone, but the Modern heroes and Modern Eggman gasped.
"I QUIT HERO-ING! AND I QUIT THIS STUPID GROUP! FOR GOOD!" Boom Sonic screamed.
Everyone, including the Modern team and even Modern Eggman gasped. Boom Sonic walks out.
"No. He can't quit forever." Boom Tails thought.
"I never seen Sonic that angry." Modern Tails thought
That is where the Modern team had enough.
Modern Shadow turned to Boom Amy. "Can we be excused of a second?"
"You're excused, Shadow." Boom Amy said.
The Modern team left Boom Amy's house gathered around.
"What's going on, Shadow?" Modern Tails asked.
"Sonic, I want you, Tails, and Knuckles to gather all the villagers here." Modern Shadow said to his rival.
"Oh, I see. We're going to tell the villagers and the other members of Team Sonic how we feel after that?" Modern Eggman asked.
"Exactly." Modern Shadow responded.
"I like that idea, Shadow." Modern Knuckles said before turning over to Modern Sonic and Tails. "Come on, guys. We got a job to do."
(Minutes later.)
Modern Sonic, Tails and Knuckles have brought every villager.
"We brought all the villagers." Modern Sonic said.
"Now, to being out the other members of Team Sonic." Modern Shadow said. "Being them out, doctor."
"Team Sonic, we want to have a word with you." Modern Eggman said.
The 4 remaining members of Team Sonic and all the villagers have gathered around.
"What's going on here?" asked Sticks.
"We'll tell you what's going on. We gathered all of you here because all of you should be ashamed of yourselves!" Modern Sonic yelled in anger. "Your Sonic gave you everything on a silver plater and yet, you all still mistreat him after everything he has done!"
It was Modern Tails' turn to berate everyone, including his Boom counterpart.
"You all gasp at your Sonic, because he called someone a stranger! Well, I'm looking at a bunch of strangers that's gasp at your Sonic for the smallest of things!" Modern Tails yelled.
Modern Tails turns over to his Boom counterpart. "And you! You're supposed to have your Sonic's back, not turn against him! For a genius like you, you clearly made the dumbest decision of turning on your Sonic, you two-tailed traitor!"
Boom Tails felt a bit hurt.
It was Modern Knuckles' turn.
Modern Knuckles said to his counterpart "I knew that you would immediately turn your back on your Sonic. You're even more dumber that you were before, you horrible excuse of an echidna!"
Boom Knuckles started to tear up.
"I can't believe you would all do this to your Sonic! I feel bad for your Sonic! He's done everything for you, yet, you push him away as if you don't want him anymore!" Modern Knuckles yelled, berating the villagers.
It's Modern Eggman's turn.
"As much as I hate saying it, but my colleagues are right! Your Sonic has done everything for you! What more do all of you want! Now with your Sonic gone, who's going to save you when your Eggman attacks or who's going to save you when I take over this village and your world?!" Modern Eggman screamed with fury.
Modern Eggman turns over to Sticks. "And you, Sticks! That fact that you're not locked in an asylum really surprises me! The fact that you turn on your Sonic really disgusts me. If it were up to me, I would've locked you up in an asylum, so that your Sonic would never have to deal with you ever again, you blasted badger!" Modern Eggman yelled.
Sticks felt hurt by Modern Eggman's rant.
Modern Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman have given out their rants, but for Modern Shadow, it was personal.
"What we're trying to say is, all of you people are nothing but ungrateful pieces of trash that keeps on taking your Sonic for granted!" Modern Shadow yelled. "In my dimension, our Sonic has done many things for us and we're grateful for his actions! Heck, I'm grateful for Sonic and his heroic actions! If our Sonic did things for you, would you people mistreat him just like you mistreated your Sonic?!"
An angry Modern Shadow turns over to Team Sonic. "Now let's get to you, Team Sonic or should I say, the so-called friends of your Sonic! Your Sonic sacrificed so much for you guys, yet you still mistreat him! You four are nothing, but ungrateful cretins! Just like all of the stupid villagers here!"
Everyone gasped at Modern Shadow.
Modern Shadow walks up to Boom Tails. "Tails, my Tails is right about what he said. You're supposed to support your Sonic, not go against him."
Boom Tails' eyes are tearing up.
"I don't know why in the heck your Sonic is friends with you in the first place. As a matter of fact, I don't know why your Sonic even meet you. To be honest, your Sonic should've never meet you and taken you under his wing, you horrid two-tailed freak!" Modern Shadow ranted.
Boom Tails started sobbing from Modern Shadow's rant.
Modern Shadow turns to Boom Knuckles. "Knuckles, you're actually dumber than you were before. You're stupidity is making me lose braincells and make me go crazy. You have one of the lowest IQ's and your IQ kept on going down when you turned your back on your Sonic. Why would your Sonic be friends with a braindead idiot like you?"
Boom Knuckles started crying from Modern Shadow's hurtful speech.
Modern Shadow turns over to Sticks. "Sticks, I heard you say you hate aliens. Well, do you happen to know that Gerald is one of my creators? I had another creator who happens to be an alien called Black Doom. He wanted me to be a destroyer, but I chose to be a savior because I was meant to be a savior. Just like you were meant to be Sonic's friend and be grateful for him, but instead, you are nothing but an ungrateful backstabbing badger."
Sticks started crying from Modern Shadow's speech.
Modern Shadow turns to Boom Amy. "Oh, I haven't forgotten about you, Amy. Of all the members of Team Sonic, you young lady, are the worst. Your training seminar is ridiculous. For some reason, you somehow dragged me into your mess. You keep on criticizing your Sonic everyday and if there's something that I hate in someone, it's ungratefulness, obnoxiousness, and arrogance and you have all 3 of those flaws!"
Boom Amy felt hurt.
Modern Shadow continued "Your ungratefulness, arrogance, and obnoxiousness is what caused to drive your Sonic away. I hope you're happy that he's gone, you ungrateful cretin!"
Boom Amy bursted into tears crying from Modern Shadow's speech.
"If I were any of you pathetic morons, I would go apologize to your Sonic for treating him the way you did." Modern Shadow said to Team Sonic and the villagers.
Modern Shadow and the rest of the Modern team leave, but Boom Tails spoke up.
"Wait, don't go!" Yelled Boom Tails.
"What now, you ungrateful runt?" Modern Shadow said.
"We want to apologize to our Sonic. Please give us a chance." Boom Amy begged.
"Like heck, we would give you a chance. Your Sonic did the right thing and left you losers." Modern Eggman said.
"Please, we're begging you!" Boom Knuckles pleaded.
"Let us talk to our Sonic!" Sticks begged.
Modern Sonic sighed. "Very well. We'll bring your Sonic here and you can apologize."
Modern Tails spoke up. "But this is your only chance to publicly apologize. So, apologize like you really mean it."
"OK, we'll try." Boom Knuckles said as he's wiping a tear.
The Modern team went to go get Boom Sonic.
(The Modern heroes arrive at Boom Sonic's location.)
Boom Sonic is seen relaxing on a hammock.
"Me from this dimension," Modern Sonic said. "You gotta go back to the village."
"Why should I? They don't need me and I don't need any of them, including my 'friends'." Boom Sonic said.
"They want to apologize to you, Sonic. You have to come back." Modern Tails said.
"Please come back to your friends. They need you." Modern Knuckles said.
"Apologize? Ha! Like they would ever apologize. They can take their stupid apology and they can shove it." Boom Sonic said.
"As much as I hate to say this, Sonic, but who is going to save the village if your Eggman attacks?" Modern Eggman asked.
"Well, my former friends can look out for themselves. After all, I'm just a guy or just a stranger." Boom Sonic said.
"The truth is, Sonic, your friends do need you. When they said, they're going to apologize, they mean it. The villagers also want to apologize to you. There's also someone we want you to see and talk to." Modern Shadow said.
Jay walks up to Boom Sonic and said. "Please, Sonic. You can't leave us forever. We need you. Your friends need you. Please, give the village and your friends another chance."
Boom Sonic thought about coming back and seconds later, he made up his mind.
"Fine. I'll come back."
"That's the spirit." Modern Eggman said.
"I knew you can give everyone at the village another chance." Modern Tails said.
"Yeah, yeah. Let's just go." said an impatient Boom Sonic.
(At Hedgehog Village.)
Boom Sonic arrives with Jay and the Modern Team. Everyone gathers around.
Modern Sonic said to everyone. "Well, your Sonic's here. What do you have to say for yourselves."
Old Monkey said. "We're so sorry, Sonic. We didn't mean you to leave us. Please forgive us."
The Walrus male said. "We do need you. All of us do."
Boom Tails said "Please don't go, Sonic! We need you! I need you!"
"We're begging you! Please come back to us!" Boom Knuckles begged.
"We don't want you to leave us! Stay with us!" Sticks pleaded.
"I'm begging you, Sonic! Don't leave us! I'm sorry I took you for granted and we're sorry we pushed you away. Can you ever forgive us?" Boom Amy said as she's crying.
Boom Sonic thought about forgiving them and seconds later, he made his decision.
"I forgive you." Boom Sonic said. "Just promise you won't criticize me again."
"We promise, Sonic." said Boom Tails.
Boom Sonic and the other members of Team Sonic all hug. Later, Boom Sonic turns over to Jay and the Modern team.
"First of all, Jay, thank you so much for convincing me to come back." Boom Sonic said.
"I'd do anything for you, Sonic." Jay said.
Boom Sonic turns over to the Modern team. "Second of all, how did you guys do all this?" He asked.
"Well, let's just say I knocked some sense into them." Modern Shadow said. "I know how you felt, Sonic, so I made sure I gave everyone here a reality check."
"Well thanks, Shadow." Boom Sonic said.
"It was nothing." Modern Shadow replied as he turns to the villagers and Team Sonic "Speaking of which, I may think I went a little too far when I was giving all of you a wake up call. Is there any chance you can forgive me?"
"We forgive you, Shadow." said Boom Tails.
"Just don't ever do that again." Boom Knuckles said.
"I promise I won't" Modern Shadow said.
"Now with this conflict resolved, I think we should celebrate!" Modern Sonic yelled.
"Yeah!" Everyone cheered.
As everyone went to Meh Burger to celebrate, Modern Shadow wanted to have some time alone.
"Maria... If you can hear me... Please forgive me. My anger just the best of me and I shouldn't have gone over the line and be so harsh to everyone. I'm only trying to do what's right for everyone. Please, Maria. Forgive me of my sins." Modern Shadow thought as if he was talking to Maria. And with that, The whole "Just a Stranger" problem is over.
