Sonic and Eggman get Isekaied
Chapter 3: the Great Dragon's choice
Where we last left off, Eggman had made his way into Drago Valley, and began 'advancing' the village, by introducing money and other such technologies. And Jin had told Sonic and Ivy about the truth of the village, the fall of the kingdom of Shaton, and a prophecy about how three heroes would destroy the evil known as The One Beyond All. Now the citizens of Drago Valley are rallying into a mob. Could this be the work of Eggman?
"The dragon must fall!" shouted a villager "indeed! Let's us grow from a simple village, to an empire that will spread across the world!" said Eggman at the front of the mob, carrying a strange weapon "YEAH!" shouted the entire mob. Meanwhile at Ivy's house. "Aunt Jin, what's happening?" said Ivy "Ivy, take this, grab Sonic, and get to Mt. Stormcape" said Jin, handing Ivy a scroll with ancient writing on it "why?" said Sonic "just go!" said Jin running off as it began to storm "come on!" said Ivy grabbing Sonic by the arm. Back with mob. "Great Dragon! I am Dr. Eggman, and I will free these villagers from your oppression!" said Eggman "you again…what did I tell you about leaving the area? To not to!" said the Great Dragon "you're trying to keep us, because your scared of what we are capable of!" said Eggman pulling out the strange weapon, a giant purple thorn shaped dagger "how did you get that?!?" said the Great Dragon before Eggman plunged it into the Great Dragon "*pained roar*" roared the Great Dragon as it fell to the ground "it's weakened, now's our chance!" said Eggman as the villagers stabbed into the Great Dragon and burned it "now tie it up!" said Eggman as the villagers grabbed rope and tied it up "*pained voice* after…all…I've done…for this village…why would you turn on me?!?" said the Great Dragon hurt, both physically and emotionally "wait, doctor, we've defeated him, he's not a threat anymore" piped up Lawrence "yeah, honestly, this isn't a good idea anymore" said another "you all just don't get it, do you? This dragon will recover…and when it does, it'll kill us…so, we must slay it first!" said Eggman going for one last stab at it's throat, before being tackled "you! What are you doing?!?" said Jin "I'm helping these people, by slaying their oppressor" said Eggman "is that…that's the Dragon Slayer! how did you get that horrible weapon?!?" said Jin "because of me…" said a voice before Jin was stabbed in the back…by the man in the robe "you!" said Eggman "ah, I see my gift to you is working as intended" said the man in the robe "George…" said Jin "hello again, Jin, it seems you're the only one who remembers me…" said George "where are the chosen three?" said George "I'm not telling you…" said Jin bleeding out "okay, then your last sight will be your new home being destroyed…" said George holding Jin up to watch as Drago Valley is destroyed by a horde of goblins "no…" said Jin collapsing to the ground "I'll let you all live, because I want to the last of the kingdom of Shaton gaze upon my master's revived beauty" said George finishing off Jin and vanishing into a cloud of smoke "what have I done..?" said Eggman looking at the rubble as the citizens of Drago Valley arrive at the rubble of their home as Sonic and Ivy arrive "no…" said Ivy collapsing to the ground with her head in her hands, along with the rest of the villagers mourning their collective loss "EGGMAN!!! YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME!!!" yelled Sonic "I didn't mean for this to happen! I was trying to help you guys!" said Eggman as the villagers turned to him "Eggman, leave. Never return. I never want to see you again." said Sonic coldly "but wait!" said Eggman as the villagers chased him out of town "I am deeply saddened. Not just by this event, but by how you all have betrayed me" said the Great Dragon "so, I will be revoking my protection of this valley, this hurts me more than it hurts you..." said the Great Dragon flying away as a tear falls from his face. Later, they buried the dead, including Jin "goodbye, grandma…" said Sonic comforting Ivy.
Later, the citizens of Drago Valley begin their trek toward Mt. Stormcape. "Hey, Ivy, can I see the scroll for a minute?" said Sonic "sure." said Ivy dejectedly handing him the scroll "thanks" said Sonic opening it "wait, this is a map" said Sonic looking at it "let me see" said Ivy "it's a map to the Lost City of Vanintall" said Ivy "we can set up camp there there for the time being" said Ivy "and there are two other places marked" said Sonic, one being to a place called Khawood Forest of the sun, and another being an island called the Isle of Foron "hey, didn't Aunt Jin say something about that?" said Ivy "yeah, something like: three people who are worthy of the blade of the sun, accepts magic on their journey and who can peer into dreams" said Sonic "I think so" said Ivy "but, first we need to get these people to Vanintall" said Sonic.
Meanwhile, somewhere else. "Master, Drago Valley has successfully been invaded!" said a goblin "indeed! Now the Chosen Three won't get in your way!" said another "I still don't feel right…it's as if they escaped…" said George "well, we'll search the entire area in order to find them!" said a goblin "*echoey voice* the death of Jin…" said a voice "m-master!" said George "*echoey voice* you got close to your target…at least…one of them…" said The One Beyond All "that Jin…she had a niece, correct?" said George "*echoey voice* indeed…" said The One Beyond All "new mission: hunt down Ivy, the niece of Jin" said George "yes, sir!" said all of the goblins "and bring me, my generals…" said George…
Meanwhile, the citizens of Drago Valley reach their destination: the Lost City of Vanintall, a beautiful ancient city in the mountains, but not all is as it seems. "We're here!" said Ivy "it's beautiful" said Sonic but as they approached a wave of rock came toward them "everyone get down!" said Sonic "who dares intrude upon our city?!?" said a tall man in a cloak "we didn't know that this place was still inhabited" said Ivy "wait, you're the dragon people" said a girl, with long black hair and cloak tied to her back like a cape, stepping out from behind the man "dragon people?" said Sonic "you live in that valley guarded by the dragon. Why are you here?" said the girl "well…" said Ivy "our home was destroyed by a goblin invasion" said Ivy "oh, that's terrible! Please, father, let them stay here for as long as they need" said the girl "fine, in the name of helping our fellow human, then you may stay" said the man "I'm Korok, and this is my daughter, Bianca, and we are members of the Arcanic Monks" said Korok "I'm Ivy, and this is Sonic" said Ivy "nice to meet you all" said Korok leading them into Vanintall. Later, after Sonic and Ivy explained what happened in Drago Valley to Korok. "So, it seems like The One Above All is rising once more…" said Korok "you know about it?" said Ivy "indeed, Jin used to train here after Shaton fell" said Korok "and…I'm truly sorry for all your losses, with the help of my people, we will avenge Drago Valley" said Korok "but first, we must train one of you in the ways of magic" said Korok "I guess I will" said Ivy "alright, let's start with the basics…" said Korok…
Meanwhile, with George. "You've finally arrived…" said George, as three people stood behind him, a owl person with a cloak, a lizard person with a jagged sword, and a hobgoblin with a giant war hammer "what is it you want us to do, master?" said the lizard person "why have you summoned us?" said the owl person "because the Chosen Three are still out there, I want you to find them" said George "but why?" said the hobgoblin "how many times must I tell you? they hold the potential to destroy our master, The One Beyond All" said George "oh yeah" said the hobgoblin "now go! A spy has told me that they are in Mt. Stormcape" said George as his generals left "soon, master…" said George…
