Sup guys, lighting Wolf here. Time for another story, this one about sonic. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Sonic; Sony and a few others do.

They moved as one and struck like a gale of wind. One of the Raiju members was thrown back only for a strand of silk to wrap around them. Another 2 joined the first suspended from the web.

"Their raid was clumsy and ill-timed, these were scouts, not warriors." One voice said to which there was a hum.

"Don't be as stupid as their clan. They are still going to keep destroying the clan when it came down to it. The sooner we handle their army? The sooner the Dragon Kingdom will be at peace."

"And how many Raiju soldiers will be slain before this ends? How many will be felled in combat?" A third voice questioned. "Conquering Storm will not stop until the kingdom burns to ash. She isn't doing this for the tyrant, she wants to sit on the Iron Throne." The third voice stated.

This trio of soldiers belonged to the Gossamer clan. A clan that had allied with the Freedom Fighters. All of them had been prepared for what to do at the second. They were still to report to their master.

"This war was allowed to go onto far too long. Conquering Storm needs to be stopped at the moment." The third ninja stated before he sighed to himself.

There was a burst of movement as the three soldiers moved out. They had to report to their master that there were problems with their plans. All of them knew they had stepped into an actual war which was not what they had wanted. Their place was with their clan and people, not with a warlord such as what their enemy had chosen.

"The Bride of the Endless Reach will not accept the plan that leads directly to war. We are both aware of this, Springer. She does not wish for an open war with the Raiju. And we are both aware of how the Shinobi and Yaugu clans feel about our attempts to properly handle this war discreetly." Springer heard to which he seemed to only care about as it derailed their mission.

They had been at war for 2 months. He had been the only one to admit that it had been a war. Any fool with a lick of sense would understand that this was a war and they had been in the thick of a conflict that was consuming the Dragon Kingdom.

Yet all they seemed to care about was being neutral and staying out of a conflict that had been their problem as much as anyone else's. They had problems and their 'king' wasn't one to answer. Monkey Khan had been indecisive and unwilling to properly handle their issues. The king was a nice one and one who had cared about his people, but he was not willing to answer their problems nor be their voice.

A weak king was not a king who was to be followed, not one to be portrayed as a ruler with which to properly care for. This was honestly an interesting position to be in for one of the 4 clans which had ruled over the lands.

"We must report to the mistress that she has escalated her raids on our territory. This is a lead-up to the real attack she is planning." One of the others stated to the rest of his unit.

It was not a wrong assumption. They had been watching the Raiju clan step into this war properly. It had been a lot more interesting to see how their mistress was to properly step into the light.

"If she will not step to the light? I will handle this properly." Spinner said to which the two others seemed to stare at one another.

"She will not support an assassination attempt if one is attempted. It will be a single assault. No support. You realize that, yes, you may win, but it will be a goal with which she will not handle herself." One of the Gossamer stated.

Springer nodded which was met by 2 sighs. They wanted to be done with this war. This was honestly a lot more interesting to them, but they wished to wash their hands of this. Their minds had been made up. He had made his choice.

Phew. The first chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will set up a duel and more of the conflict between the clans at the second. The next chapter will be 900-6500 words at the second when it happens. The next chapter will be delayed as of now. I will be making maybe a few more stories. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
