A While Ago
Before Blaze's fight with Mecha Sonic, Sonic follows Knuckles to a passage with crystals, "So, what's this place?" Knuckles pull one of the crystals, revealing a magic circle, "This is a passageway to one of the hidden temples. Sky Sanctuary."
Sonic smiled, "So, does Eggman know about this?" "Nope, because he didn't ask about it." They stepped on the magic circle, and it illuminated itself.
They instantly teleport, and the passage closed itself after they teleported.
Angel Island, Sky Sanctuary

After they teleported, Sonic saw the Sky Sanctuary with his eyes, "So, this place concealed from anyone?" He nodded, "Yeah, the temple hidden here. So that I can watch Angel Island from a different perspective."
As Sonic and Knuckles move, Sonic questions Knuckles about Sky Sanctuary, "But what happened if someone saw this?" "The barrier will protect from outside interference. Although, as I active that device there, the barrier will begin to shut down."
He points to a pink orb on a blue pedestal, "What happens once you activate it?" "It will create new platforms for us to walk on."
Sonic looked around, "Isn't there any other way?" "There is, but this is the shortcut if we want to catch Eggman's Death Egg."
Sonic nodded and then turned to Knuckles, "You started to call him Eggman." "Well, he'd tricked me. I figured I used the nickname that you invented." Sonic smirked, "Well, you can't deny that his body is like an egg." Knuckles chuckled, "You aren't wrong."
"Should you activate it now?" Sonic asked Knuckles, "Not yet. We need to time it. Otherwise, the wind will blow us away from the platform." Sonic looked up, "We're nearly reaching space, huh?" "Yeah, we better be careful about it."
As Sonic and Knuckles wait, Sonic decides to start a conversation, "How did you get on this island? You need transportation to get here." "When I was five, I woke up here. Not remember how I get here."
Sonic started to feel the tone of the atmosphere, "I saw I was in a capsule with a recording of my parents. When I played it, my father told me my duty to protect Master Emerald and Angel Island with my life." Sonic nodded, "And I took my father's advice. I train myself by doing the heavy lifting and pushing to the limits."
He looked at Sonic, "But I didn't think you managed to keep up with me." Sonic scratched his head, "Well, even if I'm weaker than you are, I'm always never giving up on the battle."
Knuckles nodded at Sonic's answer. They heard a sound in the distance. They turned and saw the Death Egg had launched, "We need to move!" "No need to tell me twice." Knuckles touched the device, activating the mechanism.

"Sir, we have a problem." Orbot tells Eggman as he sits on his chair, "What now?" "Sonic and Knuckles are coming this way!" He processed and jumped from his seat, "WHAT?!"
He quickly looked at his computer and accessed his camera, "NO WAY!" He saw Sonic and Knuckles running on the platform catching up to the Death Egg, "Orbot, Cubot, connect me to Mecha Sonic!" They saluted, "Yes!"
They quickly headed to the computer to contact Mecha Sonic.
Angel Island, Sky Sanctuary

They quickly run while the paths are falling, "Why are you slowing down? Go on ahead." Knuckles told him, "But we don't know what's that egghead has in store for us."
Knuckles sighed, "You too naive." He smiled, "Maybe." They started to speed up until they heard something behind them, "What?" They turned and saw Mecha Sonic there, "Shoot, quick, we nearly reached the platform." Sonic nodded, and they sprinted to the platform.
Mecha Sonic tries to stop them with missiles, but Sonic blows them away with his Sonic Wind.
They jumped as the last floor fell, "Surrender to the Robotnik Empire." They saw Mecha Sonic fly in the air looking at them, "As I said before, I'm not going to surrender to them." They stand up and are ready for the fight.
"Commence Spin Dash." They saw Mecha Sonic spin dash and dodged it by jumping away, "I can play that game!" Sonic also Spin Dash at Mecha Sonic, causing both to clash.
"Arrrgh!" Knuckles create an energy fist and punch Mecha Sonic, "Counterattack." Mecha Sonic smashed Knuckles back, then Sonic appeared out of nowhere and kicked him in the head.
"Knuckles, now!" "I don't need you to tell me that." Both quickly react by attacking Mecha Sonic's body, "Thunder Shield: Active." The shield actives, making both of them get shocked. "Sonic Wind!" Sonic crossed kick to create his Sonic Wind.
"Take this!" Knuckles charged his fist and punched the floor, producing a surge of energy, creating a destructive shockwave of explosions in a straight line.
Both attacks hit Mecha Sonic and pushed him into one of the pillars, "Did it work?" Mecha Sonic twitches his right arm and gets himself standing, "I must- urgh!" They saw a short circuit on Mecha Sonic's back, "Yes! A little more and we-" "Sonic, the Death Egg!"
Sonic turned and saw the Death Egg sped up, "No! We have to-" "I won't let you!" Mecha Sonic tries to grab them, but Knuckles arrive and clutch him by the back, "Sonic, you go on ahead!" "But-!" "Go! I'll be fine!" Sonic had no choice but to go ahead and leave Knuckles behind, "Now, you're fighting me, monster!"
Knuckles pulled him off the platform while clinging to him.
Angel Island, Launch Base

Blaze jumps away from the rockets and shoots her fire, "This is tricky." She charged her fire blast and discharged it at Robo Sonic. The smoke clears, revealing Robo Sonic walking through it, "The sooner or later, I'm running out of breath."
Robo Sonic curled his body to do his Spin Dash, "Great." She turned around and ran at full speed. She saw a buzzsaw coming to her, "Rrrghh!" She blew herself with her fire.
She activates her Flame Boost to get ahead of it, "I need a plan." She saw a scaffold in front of her, "Hopefully, it works!"
She runs into making Robo Sonic power through. She then used her hands to create a sphere, "Flame Sphere!" She punches the orb at the scaffolding, creating a big explosion.
She took a breath after shooting her Flame Sphere. 'I used too much Sol Energy. I need to catch my breath.' Then, she heard a giant step behind the flames. Robo Sonic came through the destruction with a damaged left eye, 'Darn! It didn't damage him much!'
Robo Sonic shoots missiles from his back, "S-Shoo-" The rockets hit Blaze's area around her, "Aaaahhhh!" She gets blown away by the explosion.
The result of the explosion caused her left arm to bleed and get many bruises, "I got to-" Blaze struggled to get up from the injuries while Robo Sonic prepared his finisher.
'Should I use it? But my injuries will result-' She imagined herself dying after using her card. She started to get up and prepared for the worst, "It's nice knowing you, everyone."
She closed her eyes and began using it but got interrupted by a scream, "Aaaahhh!" She looked into the sky and saw Mecha Sonic hit Robo Sonic's head, causing it to tumble.
"How did-" She got interrupted by Knuckles landing in front of her, "Are you all right?" She moves away from him, "Where's Sonic?" "Calm down, and I will explain." She prepared her flame, "Why should I trust you when you're on Eggman's side?"
Knuckles sighed, "That's a fair point. But I don't think we had the time to quarrel." They saw Mecha Sonic and Robo Sonic get up from the fall, "I handle those two." "What?! But- urgh!" She collapsed on the floor, "You've done enough, stay there."
Knuckles continue to walk into the battle, "You're bold to fight against us." Mecha Sonic said, "But your big guy has a weak point." "It doesn't matter. Your death will be coming. Commence Spin Dash: full power."
Mecha Sonic flies up and Spin Dash at Knuckles. He quickly reacts by catching him with both hands, "Urgh! Your Spin Dash isn't powerful as his Spin Dash." Before Mecha could speed up, Knuckles threw him at Robo Sonic's left eye.
After getting hit, the eye got short-circuited by Mecha Sonic's Spin Dash, "Rrrrrgghhh!" He jumped and punched through Robo Sonic's left eye with his red energy move, 'Energy Crusher.'
The result caused Robo Sonic to explode, leaving the pieces of it scattered around the base, "One robot down, one more to go." Mecha Sonic gets up after being thrown, "You Echidna will die!"
He shoots a laser from his eye, but Knuckles dodge it by jumping to the right, "I expect more from Eggman's creation." Knuckles jumps forward and attacks Mecha Sonic like a boxer.
He then uppercuts him damaging his voice modulator, "cURs3 y0U, 3CH1dn !" Knuckles pulls back his right fist and attacks him with his Energy Crusher, "There's more where that came from!" He then used his left fist for the attack and used his right fist again.
Blaze saw Knuckles' attacks hurting Mecha Sonic, 'I-It's working!' His attacks become faster as more punches keep coming. At his last hit, he punched through Mecha Sonic's chest with a ton of fury, "h-H0W?! 1'M 5uPp0se 7o b3 Un5st04blE!"
"Because machines aren't different from us." He pulled it out as Mecha Sonic shut down after taking too much damage.
Knuckles took a breath after defeating Mecha Sonic, 'I'm done here.' He looked up, 'I'm counting on you, Sonic.' He turned around and went to Blaze.
"Hold still." He immediately used his healing to heal Blaze's injuries, "You're injuries seem to be deep but not fatal. So, your body will be in good condition soon." Blaze nodded. She looked away from Knuckles, "Why did you change?"
Knuckles got confused, "Excuse me?" "Why did you have a change of heart?" He took a deep breath, "Well, you may hear the commotion of my fight with Sonic."
"Yeah." "Well, let's just say that he convinced me that Humans and Mobians aren't different from the Echidnas." Blaze was interested to hear it, "He told me that he was alone with no family and tried to cheer himself up in every situation."
Blaze was surprised to hear it, "So, he doesn't know his parents?" He nodded, "He took care of himself at a very young age. So, he's not too different from my experience."
She then thinks of it, 'He experiences pain that much. Why didn't he tell us?' "Blaze!" They turned to the sound and saw Tails, Sticks, and Sally there, "Get away from her, you-" Blaze quickly got up and stood in front of Knuckles, "Blaze, what are you doing?"
"Calm down. Knuckles saves me from Robo Sonic." "Wait, Robo Sonic is back?" Knuckles pointed to his back, "It's already in pieces." They look behind Blaze and Knuckles. And saw the pieces of Robo Sonic also Mecha Sonic's body lying on the ground.
"Wow, you beat those robots?" Knuckles scratched his head, "Well if it weren't for the Princess, I'd probably had a hard time dealing damage to it." 'Again with the princess.' Sally nodded, "Speaking of which, what happened to the girls? I recall there were more of you."
"Reini and Niru are receiving treatment at Sky Central. So, they're fine." Blaze sighed for relief, "So, they're fine." "Looks like it."
"Hold on, where's Sonic?" Tails asked, "He should be at the Death Egg. So, we better give him hope." Knuckles answers it, "That's right, we better hope he will win up there."

Sonic quickly used his Dash while his rings activated, "Arrrghhhh!" He pushed to his limits and went to Mach 20.
He saw the window and headed towards it, 'Please, I made it!' He jumped off the platform and grabbed the window. The contact makes the Death Egg shake up and down.
"Urgh!" He climbed up to the window while his body started to freeze when reaching space. 'I'm almost there!' He stretched his right arm and grabbed onto it, "H-H-Here I go!" He gathered the wind to his right fist and punched the window.
Then he crawled to it and made it through, just as the emergency window began to close the hole.

He started to warm his body by using his arms, 'T-That was risky but worth it.' He got up and headed to the exit.

He walked out of the restroom and looked around his surrounding, "Which way should I go?" He looked again and decided to the right, "I hope I can find Eggman." He begins to speed up through the corridor.
When running, he noticed a laser coming, and he avoided it with ease, "Looks like he now knows I'm here." He saw more turrets appear from the ceiling, "Interesting, bring it!" He dashed under one of the turrets, letting the other shoot one.
He does the same to the other turrets by misfiring them to the different turrets, "Priority One: Hedgehog!" He saw robots primarily orange in color, with a round body and a dome-shaped head that come together in an egg-like shape. It also has blank cyan eyes, a sharp yellow nose, a wide glowing panel for a mouth, and a black lower torso section.
"Piece of cake!" He dashed the robot, and it exploded quickly, "That was too easy!" He turned around and saw more of them, "Maybe I speak to soo." "Priority One: Hedgehog!" He quickly destroys them by using Homing Attack and Spin Dash.
"Sonic Wind!" He jumped and crossed kick, slashing most of them into two and exploding.
He walks to a metal door, "Well, it looks like those robots wanted to protect this door." He looked behind and saw the destruction of the robots he had caused.
Death Egg, Control Room

He entered the door and saw monitors that watched the whole Death Egg, "I guess this is the control room." He walked to the computer and typed it, "Where is Eggman?" He looked at the monitor and saw a call there, "Speak the man of himself."
He answered it and saw Eggman, "Well, Sonic, I didn't expect you managed to get in there." "And I broke the restroom window."
Eggman facepalmed by that, "I don't want to think what will happen if you broke the half of Death Egg." Sonic chuckled, "Anyway, it's only both of us again." "Yeah, where are you, Eggman?" Eggman smiled, "That's all right. I don't need to tell you where I am. Since I will bring you here instead." Sonic got confused, "What?"
He saw the floor open, revealed to be a hidden trap door, "Woah!" He quickly falls as the floor locks behind him.

Sonic used his Spin Dash to maneuver from spike balls, "Wheeee!" He speeds up the Spin Dash as more spike balls come, "Time for a boost!" He got out of ball mode and used his Wind Boost.
As he got out of the hole, he stretched out his arms and landed with his arms open, "Well, that was fun." Suddenly, the floor begins to shake, "I know the shake will be bad news." The area around started to go dark.
He turned around and saw a giant robot (ten times bigger than Death Egg Robot he fought), "That's correct, this is bad news for you, Hedgehog!" Sonic scratched his ears at the sound, "You need to get that speaker fix, Eggy!" "Oh, you will be fixed by my Death Egg Robot II!" It shoots out missiles from the back, and Sonic dodges them.
Death Egg Robot II's right hand came to crush Sonic, but he dodges it, 'This is my chance!' He jumps and runs on the right hand, then Homing Attack the head ten times. "Get out of here!" The head smacks Sonic, sending him back to the platform.
Sonic charges his move, "Sonic Cyclone!" He shoots his Sonic Cyclone at the body but only scratches the surface, "You think I would go down that easy?" More missiles launch from behind the robot, "No, I just think you will be more challenging. Sonic Wind!"
Sonic crossed kick, reflecting the missiles, "We're taking damage!" Sonic heard Cubot screaming inside, "I can see that!" The left hand tried to smack Sonic, but he sidestepped. Then it begins to move towards Sonic, 'Gotta run!' He quickly runs from the hand, "Hold still!"
He saw a grappling hook towards him, then Sonic jumped and grabbed it, "Arrghhh!" He then pulled it away from the hand, snapping it.
"Have at this!" Another hand towards Sonic, but Sonic barely dodges it, 'That was close!' He then climbed up the left hand and began to speed up. He quickly Spins Dash while moving forward, "Boss, our right!" "What?!" He hit Death Egg Robot's left eye, damaging it.
"Take this, Sonic Cyclone!" He shoots it inside the eye, destroying it from the inside, "Ahhhhh! Orbot, Cubot, eject!" "Yes!"
Sonic jumps away as the Death Egg Robot's head are destroyed, and the body begins to fall. "Full boost, idiots!" Sonic noticed Eggman escaping in his Egg Mobile with Master Emerald, "Come back here!" He quickly chased after him using Wind Boost.
"Take this!" He sents missiles from Egg-Mobile. Sonic dodges them with ease, "Let's see if it could handle this!" Sonic jumped, and Homing Attacked the Egg-Mobile multiple times, "Active the force field!"
Cubot pressed the button, and Sonic got deflected by it. Suddenly, an explosion was heard behind them, "Tch!" Sonic dashed, trying to catch up with Eggman. "Orbot, Cubot, what is the source of that explosion?" Orbot titled his head, "I think it's from that Death Egg Robot II." "And where did it hit?"
"The core of the Death Egg!" Cubot tells them the news, "What?!" "Quick, full speed to the Death Egg Launch!" Eggman told them, "But sir, it's not ready yet!"
"I don't care! If we head down to the earth with Master Emerald, we're going to be stopped by those pesky Freedom Fighters. Hurry!" Orbot and Cubot salute, "Got it!" Sonic saw the Egg-Mobile active an extra boost, "Let's get fast!"
Sonic starts to push the boost to its limit while the explosion is right behind him. As the blast caught him, he turned around and prepared his move, "Sonic Cyclone!" He shoots it in his direction as his body is moving backward.
Eggman landed his Egg-Mobile in the Death Egg Launch, "Orbot, Cubot, prepared to launch!" Both quickly prepare for the launch, "Thrusters are ready!" Orbot said, "Cooling system, active!" Eggman nodded and looked at the launch button, "Death Egg Launch, lift-off!"
Sonic landed and saw Death Egg Launch about to leave, "No!" He tried catching up to it but missed it as the explosion took him, "Not yet!"

"I see it's like that time. All right, let's do this!" He then prepared his body, "Yah!" Then the Super Emeralds enter his body, "Arrrggghhh!"
His fur changed into shining silver. Then his eyes changed into gold, and the wings and the rings on his scarf also changed. While the wings were longer and sparkling, the rings evolved into rainbow star rings.
He looked at his hands, "Amazing! It's even more powerful than Super Sonic. The name should be Hyper Sonic!" He quickly flies through the flame, chasing Eggman.

While Sonic is changing, Eggman is piloting the Death Egg Launch, "Boss, we have a problem!" Eggman growl at this, "Is it the Freedom Fighters?" Cubot then jumps in, "No! It's Sonic but shining!" "What?!" He looked at the scope and saw Hyper Sonic flying toward him.
"This is bad! Orbot, Cubot, connect Master Emerald to the Death Egg Launch!" They saluted to the orders, "Got it!" "Roger that!"
Outside, Sonic noticed the robot began powering up, "All right then, let's see how well I could do in this form!" He speeds up to catch up with the Death Egg Launch.
Once he caught up, he punched it, and the barrier minimized the damage. "Take this!" He quickly moves around the Death Egg Launch while keeping up with the attacks. "All right, have some of this, hedgehog!" Sonic saw a punch coming to him, and it hit him.
"Oh ho ho, how's that?" In another perspective, Sonic caught the attack with one hand, "Not bad, but not good enough." Sonic punched the arm, critically damaging it, "Oh no! The damage is beyond the expectations!" Sonic smirked, and Spin Dash the head.
The head started to spin by the Spin Dash, "I'm getting dizzy!" Sonic move away from the robot, "Grrrrghh! Launch it!" Sonic saw missiles coming from the Death Egg Launch, "Is that all?" "No, but more are coming from every direction." "Every direction?"
Sonic looked around his surroundings and saw rockets and missiles coming, "Wow, I didn't think of this." Once it is close to Sonic, it immediately exploded, covering him with its smoke around it.
More coming towards him until it's stopped, "Did it work?" Cubot asked. Suddenly, the arm of the Death Egg Launch gets cut off. "That was nothing, Eggman." The robot turned around and saw Hyper Sonic behind them.
"H-How did you-?!" "When I'm in this form, I'm ten times faster than light." He quickly moved to the robot and punched the chest, creating a shockwave. "Arrgghhh!" His punch became a hundred times faster until Master Emerald gets released from the robot's clutches.
"Time for a finish." Eggman watches Hyper Sonic coming toward him for the last blow. 'So that's the power of the power-up Chaos Emeralds.' He quickly slashes the robot into pieces, creating an explosion of light.
Angel Island, Launch Base

At the Launch Base, Tails, Knuckles, Sally, Sticks, and Blaze saw a flash in the sky that shone the entire area around it, "W-What is this light?" Sally, Sticks, and Blaze covered the shine with their hands, while Tails covered his eyes with his goggles and Knuckles looked into it.
"It's Chaos Energy." Knuckles answered it, "Then does that mean..." Tails asked, and Knuckles nodded for the answer, "Sonic won." Sally and Blaze smiled as the light began to fade.
"Nicole, did you see it?" Sally asked Nicole by the communicator, "Yup, looks like the whole world will know about this." "Hey, I think I saw something coming down." They looked at it and saw a figure holding a large emerald and a big circle.
As the figure comes closer, it reveals to be Hyper Sonic carrying the Egg-Mobile and Master Emerald, "Is that Sonic? He looks different." "Hey!" Sonic shouted to them, "Yup, that's him." Tails smiled, knowing the same Sonic.
Hyper Sonic landed and then put down Master Emerald and the Egg-Mobile, "Wow, you're almost the same as Super Sonic." He smirked, "Well, I did use the Super Emeralds. So, this is the result." "Urgh! I can't believe this, rescue by Sonic of all people!" He heard Eggman from the Egg-Mobile.
"Well, he's sure will be headed to Sky Jail." Sonic nodded at that. Suddenly, the island begins to shake, "W-What's happening?" Knuckles touches the ground, "I think the island is about to fly into the sky."

Bunnie, Antoine, and the rest of the Sky Members saw Angel Island begin to fly off into the sky. "It's beginning to fly again." Antoine nodded beside Bunnie.
Angel Island, Launch Base

They felt the shake had stopped, "Looks like it's already in the air again." Knuckles nodded. Sonic changes back into his base form, and the emeralds go back to normal and scattered, "I won't be able to use that form anytime soon." "Yeah," Knuckles said.
"Now, could all of you get off the island?" Knuckles asked them politely, "Hold on, Niru still got her stuff here, and Reini doesn't have a place to live." Knuckles got confused, "Doesn't that girl have a family?" Sonic shook his head, "We don't know. She doesn't talk about her family all the time."
Knuckles then come up with an idea, "I suppose those two could stay on this island." "Sweet." "But..." Knuckles walked up to Sonic and gave a fist bump to his chest, "make sure you're stronger the next time we fight." Sonic smiled, "Yeah."
The others smiled as Knuckles on their side, "That's sweet and all, but could you get us out ?!" They heard Eggman calling them inside the Egg-Mobile, "Well, I should turn you to them." "Whatever, but Sonic, this isn't the last you will hear from me!" Sonic nodded, "You got it, doctor."
As more Sky Members arrived, they handcuffed Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot and got them into their Sky Van.
Angel Island, Beach

As the sun began to set, Reini and Niru talked with Sonic and the others, "Well, looks like this is where we will be splitting off." "Yeah, but we will see each other again." Niru smiled, "Yeah."
Sonic and Niru handshake for parting ways, "Nice meeting you, Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic nodded. "Reini, take care of yourself." Tails told her, "Yeah." Reini nodded and secretly smiled.
The three watch Sonic and the others waving their hands as they get on the Sky Central and leave.
"So, do you know where all of your stuff is?" Knuckles asked Niru, "I think it's still on that snow mountain." They begin to walk as they have a conversation, "Really? Well, you should move it for safety." Reini watches the sun start to set in the distance, "Reini!"
She heard Niru call to her and turned around, "You're coming?" Reini nodded and went up to them.
Sky Central, Sonic's Quarters

It's already nighttime, and Sonic lays on his bed. He blew wind from his mouth for a breath. "The adventure, the feel, the people I met." Sonic smiled, "I hope I can experience it again."
He started to close his eyes until a shine forced him to open his eyes, 'W-What is this light?' He took a look at it and saw a window displaying a text.
[Congratulations, you have been awakened.]
Sonic goes processing what he saw in front of him, 'What?'
