Chapter Eleven – Vengeance
Everyone was horrified. The Chaos Emeralds. Nobody had seen or heard of them in years, and the last time Scourge used them, he almost destroyed the world. Saffie truthfully, didn't really know what the Chaos Emeralds did. But it was a logical deduction. Ivo had told him that the Master Emerald was shattered and gone, which only left the Chaos Emeralds, themselves showing to the right hand side of Saffie on the carved wall, the Master Emerald on the left. But he knew that any Power Stone in the wrong hands, was extremely dangerous. Saffie suspected he only had a matter of hours.
He was right.
Scourge was fuming, having limped back to his lair. It was a dark and foreboding, somewhat ruined castle where he had slaves to do his bidding, but none of them could satisfy his humiliation of loosing his first fight. He screamed in both anger and frustration. Who was that freak? He claimed to be him, but how? Regardless, he was ridiculously fast and incredibly strong, and had completely overpowered him in both. He growled. He knew him. He knew exactly how and where to hit him to take full advantage of his weakness. Scourge's temper flared. He was still very angry.
Scourge had all of a 'Sonic's' traits, just darkened and at times, turned on their head. While good version of a 'Sonic' enjoys the company of his friends, Scourge had none, and sees his allies as pawns to help him prove he's the best. In addition, whereas a 'Sonic' often considers his battles as sport, Scourge fights to prove that he was the greatest by introducing his opponents to excruciating pain, and, if given the chance, killing them. However, his arrogance, amplified from a 'Sonic's' usual cockiness, but it made him quite dangerous and very psychotic by nature.
Shadow, on the other hand, was a much more calculated evil, especially in the first dimension Saffie traveled to. Scourge was brash and very impulsive, caring little for himself, and will do literally anything to win. He growled. He was desperate to prove he was the best. As to where the freak had come from, he had no idea, but he didn't care. He had to do something. Even injured, he wiped the floor with Scourge. He needed more firepower, and knew exactly where to find it.
He'd located all seven of the Chaos Emeralds years ago, and had been keeping them in cold storage for just this eventuality. Normally, he didn't need them. He could rule over his kingdom perfectly well without them, so why waste such a weapon. Against the normal people, he needed to prove nothing. He was in charge, and that was it. They just fell into line. It kept them for the day a real challenger dared to cross him, or even, defeat him. As he stomped down into the dungeons of the castle to the heavily guarded door, today was that day. He shooed away the guards and entered, where in the cold, dark bare room, he found his precious stones. All seven of them were hovering in a perfect horizontal circle, about two feet from the floor, obediently waiting for him.
Scourge smirked, caressing them like perfect pets.
"Hello, my sweets. Time to show that freak who's the greatest of them all." He hissed, under his breath, malice and ice cold. Time to end this, as he moved to the centre of the Chaos Emeralds and concentrated. He transformed. Scourge's quills turn upward and his irises become red. His fur turns a deep purple, and his sclera became a cold, dark black. He sneakers became purple, his glasses and the flames on his jacket both turned blue, and his scars became darkened. He roared with laugher as the god like power flowed through him. He now had highly amplified speed and strength as well as high-speed flight and virtual invulnerability to harm. But he gritted his teeth, as he took off, punching a hold straight through the ceiling, and the entire castle above and into the sky. Time to find his quarry.
Saffie knew that if this plan worked, he would never be returning to this dimension, and he'd grown rather fond of it. The Freedom Fighters, despite being so strange, were so good, so gentle, and Ivo, wow, the Human just blew him away. He never thought a Human could be capable of such acts of kindness, but truthfully Saffie didn't know of another Human outside of Robotnik. They did everything they could to prepare Saffie for the oncoming fight against Scourge, explaining what the Chaos Emeralds exactly were, and how super transformations worked. Even though it had been years since Scourge had used the Chaos Emeralds, many still remembered distinctly what happened. The information was incredibly useful, but he could tell that they were scared and genuinely feared for him.
He tried to calm there. He wasn't going to arrogantly say he could definitely win this, because that wasn't his end goal, plus it wasn't his style. All Saffie had to do was get Scourge though a inter-dimensional portal, out of this dimension, and trapped in another one. But Saffie had several advantages here, one, Scourge had never inter-dimensionally traveled before, and it does severely throw you when it happens the first time, and two, according to the Freedom Fighters, super transformations only had a finite time limit. Scourge couldn't go on forever in that form, but as a super powerful Cyborg, Saffie potentially could.
But he heaved. It was going to be a tough fight regardless, and as Saffie was lead by the Freedom Fighter to the mouth of the tunnel which lead to their hideout and into the forest, he knew this was the end. It felt like an age since he was outside. He turned to face Ivo. He sighed.
"Thank you." He smiled. "For everything." He nodded. Ivo beamed in return and offered his hand. He grinned.
"I think it's us who should be thanking you." He heaved. "Good luck out there, and be careful. It won't be long before Scourge finds you." He stammered. But Saffie sighed.
"Look, go. Get yourself and your people to your new hideout. I'll be alright." He informed them, and then finally he looked down at Ivo's hand, he smiled and took it. A firm handshake of parting friends. Saffie never believed in a million years, he'd shake the hand of a Robotnik in friendship, but as he learned in the previous dimension, with the Grid, and their completely blacken desolate real world, stranger things have happened. He nodded to all the Freedom Fighters as he turned and ran, straight through the forest and out. Down the lane, and across fields, he looked around as he tried to travel in a direction that was well away from civilisation.
The Freedom Fighters had informed Saffie that Super Scourge could fly, so he decided not to reveal that so could he, now that his body and therefore his wings were fully repaired. As a professional soldier, you don't volunteer information to your enemy, until absolutely necessary. Finally in the middle of the day, the sun high in the sky, Saffie stopped in an area that was largely desolate, as far as he could see. Perfect. Little chance here of anyone outside of the fight getting hurt. Now all Saffie had to do, was wait.
It didn't take long.
A enormous roar through the sky of the sound barrier breaking announced the arrival of his counterpart. Saffie rolled his eyes, yet again. It seemed Scourge was not big on subtly as he charged straight for Saffie, only for the Sapphire Dragon to jump high in the air, somersault, and proceed to kick Scourge in the back, grounding him, face first right into the dirt of the ground. Saffie smirked landing perfectly on his feet. He'd heard him coming and then really laughed especially when he saw his deep purple transformation. Now Scourge looked really silly. But his anger exploded, as he growled at Saffie as he got to his feet.
"So you think this is funny, Freak!" He spat, coldly. Saffie shook his head, equally coldly. No, it wasn't actually, but he didn't get a chance to answer as Scourge charged went for him again, forcing Saffie to grab him in an arm lock. Pushing against each other, Scourge, in his superform, was absolutely stunned at Saffie's incredible weight and tried as he might, he physically couldn't move the almighty Sapphire Dragon. He just stood there, stuck fast. Extremely stubborn. Scourge was gobsmacked. How could someone so heavy, move so fast? But Scourge's slight slip in concentration in wondering that question, was enough for Saffie to catch off his guard, and extremely quickly grabbed Super Scourge by the throat, tossed him into the air, and karate kicked him into the ground.
Scourge tumbled over and over, until he finally came to a halt and Saffie was panting. Ok, now he understood why Super Scourge was so heavily feared. To perform that attack on him took every ounce of strength Saffie had. But within seconds, however, Super Scourge was on top of him, throwing punches, completely out of control. He is completely screamed in pain, he was taking an enormous beating, until finally his own anger exploded. Saffie pushed himself to the upper limits of his own Super-Speed and finally began to see the punches coming. Crunching the numbers fast in a very calculated counter-attack, Saffie began to fight back, himself throwing punches, them landing exactly on mark. Super Scourge screamed. Saffie had both a height and weight advantage and used them both again him.
He didn't just hit him in the face, but in the torso, neck and forehead, somehow knocking him senseless. He was used to fighting creatures with Chaos Powers, but with Saffie, that wasn't the case. His abilities, especially his strength, came from the his very muscles and bones, and as Super Scourge quickly realised, had a longer endurance then him. Finally, Saffie got one up over Super Scourge and somehow managed to land a almighty punch under his chin, sending his skyward, but the Sapphire Dragon didn't leave it there, he then jumped and as Scourge was landing, he karate kicked him again, in pure anger, straight into the dirt. He toppled over and over before sliding to a halt. He was down. Temporally out cold.
Saffie collapsed to his knees, badly bleeding from nose and ears. But he knew he only had a matter of minutes before Super Scourge was up and on top of him again. He was on the verge of passing out, he was that tired, and feared how much longer he could keep this up. Up until now, he hadn't used his knives or his claws, but if Scourge pushed him hard enough then he would. He was alone, yet again, in arguably the hardest fight of his entire life. He feared he wouldn't be able to take another round of beating. He'd underestimated just how strong and how fast Super Scourge would actually be. He desperately needed help.
He looked at his Dimension Portal Generator embedded on his wrist. He only had enough time to dial up one portal, before he striked. But Saffie's brain had been working overdrive since he acquired it. Secretly, using the device, he been searching the multiverse, dimension by dimension, looking for something. Something he was desperately praying was still there. A trail, or more specifically, a bread crumb trail, and now, in his hour of desperate need, the device, against all the odds, finally pinpointed the exact dimension, out of the thousands out there, he wanted.
He quickly dialed up the dimension portal, just as Super Scourge woke and immediately attacked him. He sent the Sapphire Dragon flying, but he was so concentrated on him, that he failed to noticed the deep purple dimension portal materialise directly behind him. He roared with laugher, but Saffie's lip just curled in response. Getting to his feet, he was breathing heavily, desperate for two things to be true. One, that he'd got the correct dimension, and two, that the seers there saw him coming and had warned the residents.
He sighed as he took a complete and utter leap of faith, and charged for him, thrusting his enormous weight extremely fast, right at Super Scourge. He panicked as he tried to stop the Sapphire Dragon, but against that huge bulk, he'd got nothing, and Saffie crashed into him, with all his might, throwing Scourge backwards, straight through the portal, and out of this dimension, the portal instantly locking behind them, Saffie feeling the door slamming shut. He was relieved. Exactly as expected, as peace now immediately reigns with Scourge gone. He alone was the sole source of evil there. Saffie heaved. Time to get this job done.
Dimension – 23691
'A friend in need, is a friend indeed.'
For Sonic and his friends, life had returned to normal, since the Master Emerald incident and Eggman never did it again, and neither did the Master Emerald turn red again either. Sonic suspecting it was because of Shadow seriously threatening him with his life if he did. Regardless, they both vanished, and neither Shadow nor Eggman were seen for months. Both were alive, as they occasional made their presences felt but that was it. Life became rather boring for the Blue Blur. Adventure weren't really the same without the threat of Eggman, and helping the people rebuilt the planet after the Human's destruction, can only keep his interest for so long.
But as he was still chasing off unwanted counterparts from accidental inter-dimensional portal incidents, but his mind kept wondering back to the Sapphire Dragon. The greatest of all his counterparts, and desperately wondering how he was doing. Sonic knew he was out there, somewhere, but where, no idea, and like Tails, agreed that the likelihood of him coming back was none existent. His friends still mentioned the mighty Blue Dragon from time to time, and the incredible deeds he did for them. This disheartened Sonic, but he was beginning to notice that the Wisps were starting to act very strange, and things got even weirder when Tails got a message on his handheld, from Shadow, of all people.
It was an invitation of himself and Sonic to the Ark. What? Sonic stared. He hadn't been to the Ark in years, not since he first met Shadow, fought the Biohazard and Chaos Controlled it to it's current position. Shadow was nowadays famous, for being intensely private, and hardly anyone other then himself travelled to the Ark. Extremely confused, they obliged and within hours, they were stood on the old space colony, it looking very different then when Sonic and Tails were last there.
It was absolutely spotless, beautifully maintained, and fully updated. Not the dang, dark, dirty space colony Sonic remembered it being. Shadow was intensely house proud. It really showed as Sonic and Tails desperately tried not to damage anything. Shadow rolled his eyes, though he was grateful for their efforts. Especially from Sonic, whom Shadow had feared would just charge about the place. Finally, they noticed him. Sonic smiled, somewhat nervous. This was his rival's territory, after all.
"Hi." He stammered. "What's this about?" He asked, getting straight to the point. Exactly how Shadow like it. He always hated being messed about, and immediately obliged Sonic's question. To his and the Fox's complete and utter surprise, Shadow pulled out a Wisp in his hand, from behind his back. Small, Cyan in colour, completely alone. Shadow had got him in a firm but gentle grip. Tails gasped.
"A Wisp? Here?" He stammered. Shadow had also been extremely surprised. The little aliens had never shown any interest at all in his space colony, so why now? Sonic stared at the Wisp. Through the hundreds he worked with on an almost daily basis, there was something very familiar about this one. It's slightly smaller stature and somewhat cocky look on it's face. Then it hit Sonic. He gasped.
"Hey, wasn't that the Squidling?" He asked. Shadow nodded, and then looked down at the Wisp. He heaved.
"Go on." He demanded, his voice not quite as cold as usual. "Tell them what you told me." He asked. Sonic and Tails looked at each other. The Fox wasn't surprised that Shadow had understood him. He'd shared with the Ultimate Lifeform his translation program. He'd just installed it on the Ark. Tails grabbed his handheld and set it going. Then the little Cyan Wisp began to speak. Obviously, another prophesy but the details of which blew the brains of both Sonic and Tails, and immediately explained why Shadow had called them, and why the Wisp had taken the prophesy initially straight to the Ultimate Lifeform.
A friend indeed, was desperate need of help.
Saffie was fighting Super Scourge all the way through the portal. It only took seconds to pass through, but to the Sapphire Dragon, it felt like an age. But somehow, Super Scourge had managed to swing round and was now on top of him was they landed in the dirt. With Super Scourge's incredible strength and power, the Sapphire Dragon was completely winded. Above him, Scourge immediately pulled back for an enormous punch against him, only to be immediately hit from the side and send flying high in the air, landing hard in the distance, by someone slamming into the side of him. Saffie rolled over and saw to his utter amazement, a striped Hedgehog,a golden lemon-cream colour, with red stripes and his eye colour with completely ruby red. He was emanating the exact same energy as Super Scourge.
Saffie stared. He initially didn't recogised the Hedgehog, but then suddenly remembered his evil nature, though that wasn't that he was displaying right now, as he offered Saffie his hand. He smirked.
"Stripes?" He gasped. Shadow nodded, but then another Hedgehog came flying past, at enormous Super-Speeds. The Hedgehog was golden yellow in color, his peach skin was glowing a slight golden hue, and the quills on his head were all pointing upwards. He also possesses a golden aura and beautiful red eyes. He growled.
"Careful, Shads. He's coming back." He called. Saffie's jaw dropped, though he was still winded on the ground. He gulped.
"Sonic?" He question, but Shadow huffed at Saffie.
"Go." He spat. "The Squidling saw you coming." He hissed and immediately vanished high into the sky as Super Scourge charged straight for him. The almighty clash between Super Shadow and Super Scourge in the skies above was epic, causing the entire ground to shake. But Shadow is not alone and Super Sonic roars in, flying straight to his aid. Saffie looking up, is gobsmacked, until Tails runs in and grabbed him, getting him to safety, just as the portal closed behind him. The Fox is heaving, but hugs the Sapphire Dragon with everything he had.
"Hi. Great to see you again." He smiled, absolutely delight. "That little Cyan Wisp friend of yours did it again. He completely foresaw you coming back and bringing 'the worst evil in the universe' with you. It didn't take us long to work out what. A evil Sonic. It had to be." He grinned. "But when he mentioned the seven Power Stones he was bringing with him, we knew we needed our own Chaos Emeralds to defeat him. Hence..." He added, point upwards to the enormous fight between the three Super Hedgehogs above them. Saffie was heaving, but extremely relieved, that his gamble paid off. But he frowned.
"I can understand Sonic helping me, but why Shadow?" He asked, finally remembering Stripes' name. But Tails giggled.
"You saved his life in the black tower, during your last visit. This is him returning the favour." He shrugged. Saffie heaved. A lot had happened since then, and he barely remembered it. But then Tails rounded on him.
"Hey, how did you find us again? There must be thousands of dimensions out there." He asked. But Saffie smirked.
"During my first visit, I had a hunch I wouldn't be going home, very early on. So when your device found my dimension and those pictures, I tapped your device with my holographic finger." He smirked. "Remember Tails, I'm a Cyborg, and considering I liked this dimension very much, I left an electronic breadcrumb trail on your device here. It was a gamble. If your device got destroyed, I would have lost it. Once I acquired the ability the create inter-dimensional portals at will from some friends on another dimension, I used the technology to successfully track you guys down." He heaved. Tails was absolutely gobsmacked. He gasped.
"That's incredible." He praised. But Saffie rolled his eyes.
"Er, Cyborg." He said, again. "And a clever one at that. I can pretty much hack anything." He giggled, and Tails just nodded in agreement. But then suddenly, Saffie staggered, falling onto his back, to Tails' utter horror. He jumped.
"Whoa." He stammered. Even though Saffie was completely healed, the Fox could see in the Sapphire Dragon's eyes the true horrors he'd been through. Tails stared. "Easy. Big Guy." He gulped. "What happened to you?" He panicked. But Saffie growled, as he looked skyward and saw Super Shadow and Super Sonic getting one hell of a beating from Super Scourge. Those Hedgehogs were fighting for him. Saffie just couldn't leave them to do it alone. He scrambled to his feet, swaying badly. But Tails screamed.
"Saffie!" He yelled but the Sapphire Dragon rounded on him.
"Kid, I'll be fine. It's none on your concern." He grilled, so coldly that it instantly silenced Tails, who just looked terrified. He nodded. Saffie opened his almighty wings. The fight had gone skyward, time for him to do the same.
Scourge was outright crazy, and throwing everything he had into this fight. He had no idea who there Super Hedgehogs were or where he was, but that didn't matter. One world was a good as another to conquer. He could immediately tell, that they had their own Chaos Emeralds, along side he own, and that the two Hedgehogs were sharing the power between them. Did that make them weaker? Scourge didn't know, but they were extremely good, having obviously been fighting together for years. Which surprised him, considering he could feel pure evil on one of them. He shrugged. That didn't matter. He was going to win, regardless. But now all three of them were now panting. Having thrown punches and Spin Attacks at each other, they were all at stalemate. They all hovered there, in the sky, growling at each other, in a triangle, not one daring to move.
But then Scourge just laughed at them. These two Hedgehogs had nothing on him, until they both began to smirk at him, somewhat in awe. Then he felt it, something very large in the sky directly behind. Sending huge gusts of winds straight at him. Scourge gulped, having felt the enormous power. Suddenly one of the Hedgehog in front of him, the golden one, began to giggle, as he finally turned around.
Super Scourge found himself face-to-face to with almighty Sapphire Dragon in his absolute full glory. He is gobsmacked. What. The Freak can fly! Truthfully, Scourge can completely forgotten about Saffie, concentrating solely on Sonic and Shadow. Saffie had suspected this, hence his little sneak in from behind. His huge Dragon wings were out wide, beating hard to keep him aloft, his tail stretched out, long and lengthened, his secondary wings and tails fins adjusting beautifully. Saffie was beyond angry. He was so tired, that his anger was the only thing keep him awake. Time to do what he does best, as a professional soldier.
Fight.
He smirked at Scourge when their eyes met. He sneered.
"Hi." He growled, and immediately out of nowhere, quickly pulls back and then thrusts forwards an almighty punch, which lands straight in the gut of Super Scourge. He is thrown backwards with such force that he hits the ground causing both a trench and a creator. But Saffie doesn't stop and immediately activated his Super-Speed and beating his wings like a hummingbird, goes straight after him.
Super Sonic and Super Shadow are left in his wake. Both are stunned as they instantly rushed after him. They do catch up with him but can only barely keep up. Sonic knew Saffie was fast, especially on the ground, but in the air, it was ridiculous. Wow, could he fly. His incredible wings carved up the air in ways Sonic didn't even think possible, and he could turn so tightly, his wings practically vertical that Saffie just left them far behind. But the time Sonic and Shadow finally caught up to Scourge's location, Saffie had already folded his wings back, dived and grabbed Super Scourge off the ground, gripping with his metallic claws sticking out the end of his fingers, and flew skywards with him again. Once there, he tossed the Hedgehog into the air, and karate kicked straight back into the ground, creating yet more creators and trenches.
Once was brutal enough. But the third time, Sonic decided to call a halt, even Shadow had to agree. They both stared at the Sapphire Dragon. But Saffie had snapped, especially when Scourge just laughed at them. The utter arrogance grated so hugely against the Sapphire Dragon, that his mind couldn't take it anymore. It was completely broken. His anger had exploded again, just like it did at the top of the tower, when fighting Robotnik and the Grid. He may have been destined to help across the dimensions but the level of brutality out there, was just horrendous. Yes, he was physically strong enough. That was why he was chosen, but was he mentally? After seeing the horrors of the last three dimensions, plus what had happened in his own, before it all started, now he would have to say, no.
He finally realised this when Super Sonic somehow managed to stop him from pummeling Super Scourge to death. He held his head, stroking it gentle, desperate to keep the mighty Blue Dragon calm. But Saffie was really struggling, both Sonic and Shadow could see it. The tiredness and a broken mind, and the Sapphire Dragon was almost done for. He was not the same Blue Dragon that left here, all those months ago. What had happened to him? He'd snapped, that was obvious, getting this brutal. But how? But then Saffie growled at them, hovering in midair, objecting, he knew the fight wasn't over. He roared when he was proved right, when a battered and broken Super Scourge suddenly flew into their midst and grabbed Super Sonic around the neck.
Unable to stay skywards with his powers heavily waning, he crashing to the ground. He lands in the middle of a deep thick forest, and somehow managed to keep Sonic in a dangerous neck brace. The Blue Blur gulped, desperately trying to move Scourge's arm. But failed, and didn't dare push it any further. He, unfortunately, knew the move. Shadow. The Ultimate Lifeform had never used it on him, but Sonic had seen him use it on other people, just before he broke their necks. He could feel the evil on his purple counterpart and immediately knew that he wasn't the first person he'd done this to, but he suspected that the last time the poor person didn't survive.
He forced Sonic to his feet, only to be immediately confronted by Saffie and Shadow landing directly in front of them. He growled. He was badly battered and bruised but he wasn't beaten yet. Scourge roared at them.
"Move, and he dies." He hissed, still with the neck brace on Sonic. He looked terrified, and even Shadow hesitated, but Saffie didn't move. Scourge noticed this, he smirked. "Oh, your good, Freak, I'll give you that." He hissed, extremely coldly. "But I doubt you've got anything left in that arsenal of your that can outdo this move." He sneered, evilly, indicating the extremely dangerous neck brace on Sonic.
Suddenly, behind Scourge, Sonic's friends arrived, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, the Chaotix. They were all there and horrified with the situation. He glanced at them, but then turned back to Saffie. But the Sapphire Dragon was clever, and used his distraction, to put a hand behind his back, and immediately charged up, very quickly, arguably, his most dangerous weapon. Sonic and Saffie's eye met, as Sonic noticed the intense green glow from behind the Sapphire Dragon. He quickly remembered what he meant, and was now even more scared. He did downright object, but it was the lesser of two evils, he didn't have a choice. It would end the fight. What Saffie was planning to do wasn't going to kill Scourge, and Sonic had to put complete and utter faith in himself, and in Saffie as he counterpart, to do this.
Scourge rounded back on Shadow and Saffie, but this time he was Sapphire Dragon who was smirking, his Robotisation Energy Manipulation now at full strength. He grinned, his lip curled.
"Hey, Scourge." He hissed, getting the Hedgehog's attention. "Dodge this." He growled, to Shadow's utter horror, Saffie produced the bright deep green ball of light from behind his back in his hand, and with incredible speed and power, threw it straight at Scourge. Sonic had seen it coming. So had Tails, as the Blue Blur somersaulted backwards over Scourge's shoulder, just as Tails thwacked him in the arm, with a thick tree branch, forcing him to let Sonic go. The Blue Blur missed being hit by the ball of pure Robotisation Energy by millimetres, as it hit Scourge square in the chest, knocking him backwards.
Tails, however, doesn't risk it, and immediately grabbed Sonic, and gets him out of there and to safety, well away from Scourge. The evil Hedgehog is completely dumbfounded. What was happening to him? What was that green light and why was he feeling so strange? Suddenly, his entire body begins to violently shake, and he looses the power of the Super form, and the seven Chaos Emeralds of his dimension fall all around him. He went from deep purple back to his old Green colour. Several people raised an eyebrow, including Sonic himself. Still stood on his feet, but unable to move, the shaking get progressive worse and Scourge noticed to his absolute horror, the tips of his fingers and shoes begin to turn metallic.
Suddenly, this transformation rapidly travelled up his hands and feet, as he is completely helpless to stop it. He is being robotised. The process then hits the top of his legs and begins to travel up is torso, to screams of pain from Scourge. He was desperate for help, but no one was giving it, as everyone was just to frightened. The line of metal travelled up his chest, as organic tissue turned into metallic machinery, and Scourge was left gasping for air. But it didn't stop, as the transformation travel up his neck and engulfed his entire head. Immediately his mind was instantly subdued and then ceased to exist as Scourge became fully robotic. Not one single cell of organic tissue was left in his body.
With minutes, Scourge's fully silvery metal robotic body came online, his eyes glow a deep hollow, lifeless red, ready for orders. Everyone was still screaming in horror, but it was Tails who approached Scourge first, scanning him with his handheld, finally confirming him as safe. Sonic and his friends all crowd around him, but Knuckles immediately vanished. Sonic gulped, calling behind him.
"Hey, er, Saffie? What to we do with him now?" He asked. But he got no answer. He frowned. "Saffie?" He pondered, and then finally turning around, he saw him. Sonic swore, putting a hand over his mouth. He immediately ran to his friend, his counterpart. Everyone had been concentrating to much on the horrors of Scourge getting robotised that absolutely no one noticed Saffie collapse. He was in a horrendously bad way and with this last use of the Robotisation Energy, his extremely powerful Cyborg body had finally given in. There was nothing left in the tank, as Saffie plummeted into darkness, and for once, the he was very happy to go there. He was so tired. He was now completely out cold on the floor, wings and tails spade out everywhere, no light from his eyes, no hologram. He'd gone straight to the ground. Several people tried to shake him awake. Nothing.
The Sapphire Dragon was down.
