Chapter 109: Analysis

Last time on Sonic the Hedgehog, the Queens of Silence had successfully destroyed Eggman's base, leaving it in ruins, though nearly at the cost of their own lives after a few incidents. Now the base destroyed, a new face enters the scene, claiming to be the older sister of Dr. Ivo Robotnik. What relationship do these two truly have...?

Destroyed Eggman Base; Monitor Room

*Eggman was confronted by someone who clearly got under his skin. A lady who's very intellect may rival his own. Jenni Robotnik.*

Jenni: "It has been, what... Eight years now since we last saw each other? I must say I'm not a fan of your decor. I expected a lot more red carpets and robot guards."

Ivo: "What is it you want, Jenni?"

*Jenni takes off her glasses in order to clean them.*

Jenni: "I've been watching the news as of late. A huge water monster? A cannon out in space used by our late grandfather? And even this ultimate roboticizer? Being subtle was never your strong suit, was it?"

Ivo: "Be. Silent! I am tired of you, Jenni! Even all those years ago, you always try to one up me in everything! Robotics, science, even basic living! You, of all people, cannot claim to be so superior unless you've been through what I've been through!"

Jenni: "We grew up in the same household, Ivo. Under the House of Robotnik, we have a reputation to uphold. And you, being defeated by a mere rat..."

*She puts her glasses on before giving Ivo an intense glare.*

Jenni: "...have insulted our very name."

Ivo: "Oh really? So I assume you have everything figured out? You haven't even fought Sonic the Hedgehog yet!"

Jenni: "I study on observation alone. You encountered Sonic first in Green Hill Zone, a...fated encounter I'm sure you want to believe. This first exposure to the blue boy managed to delay your Death Egg plans by him just getting one of the Chaos Emeralds. While you were able to reclaim that and the seventh Emerald, even allowing you to launch the Death Egg with the Master Emerald on Angel Island, you still lost. You turned your attention to Little Planet next, expanding your little...empire along the way. The destruction of Little Planet would not go unnoticed by the world as the Time Stones would scatter across Mobius. Then came the study on the Master Emerald, leading to you freeing a monster from a long forgotten time and thinking you could trust it to destroy Sonic. Ah yes, let's talk about those trust issues-"

Ivo: "ENOUGH! Just tell me why you are here!"

Jenni: "It is rude to interrupt, Ivo."

*Ivo just growls, leaning back as he rubs his head. Getting reminded of his past mistakes is more headache than it is worth.*

Jenni: "As I was saying... You seem to have a lot of trust issues... A black hedgehog betrays you and almost destroys you and the entire world with the ARK... Your own metal creation turns against you out of a petty want to be like Sonic... And you yourself betrayed one of your own Egg Bosses while two others left of their own volition. And after showing such promise too. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of...discipline, Ivo. So many gadgets, mechs, bases all destroyed by one measly little rodent and his crew of rejected house pets. You had the means to destroy Sonic and at every turn you let your own obsession with flair and speeches get the better of you! To put in nicely... YOU ARE A DISGRACE!"

Ivo: "How dare you-"

Jenni: "But, because I am your caring older sister... I've decided to help out. I offer my own form of intellect to your cause. Basically bring your...kiddy empire on the rise myself. You are clearly incapable of doing it yourself, but I am. You can side with me... Or I will dismantle every piece of your Empire and remake it into my own, showing you how to truly rule the world... Which will it be, Ivo?"

Ivo: "...Grr... Fine..."

*Jenni smiles a bit before adjusting her glasses.*

Jenni: "Then... Our business is adjourned. Goodbye, dear Ivo."

*The monitor is shut off before Eggman could say anymore.*

Jenni: "And say hello to your new mistress, Mobius. There is only room...for one truly malicious ruler."

Chemical Plant Base; Workshop

*Eggman glares at the monitor with absolute fury, his teeth gritting tighter and tighter before he just punches at the monitor, smashing his fist through it. He then hears the sliding doors of his workshop open as two small robots enter - Orbot and Cubot - carrying a tea set with them.*

Orbot: "Your tea, boss? What happened to the monitor? Did your reflection bad mouth yo-"

*Eggman picked up Orbot, glaring at the robot with his insane eyes clearly visible now.*

Eggman: "Listen here, you little piece of scrap. I am in no mood for your sass right now. I just got contacted by her of all people after eight years of not hearing from her. EIGHT! YEARS! And she suddenly appears to steal my thunder!"

*Ivo then tosses Orbot to the wall, dazing him for a moment. He then proceeds to lean on the table in deep angered thought over his next plan.*

Cubot: "Um... Comrade. Perhaps it be bad time to tell of good news then?"

Eggman: "What good news, Cubot?"

Orbot: "That...ugh...the Egg Scouts found a strange device that radiates with unusual energy."

Eggman: "Unusual energy?"

*Orbot presents a tablet with the energy readings, Eggman's mood changing before he smiles. He then looks down at Orbot.*

Eggman: "And she doesn't know... Does she? This is not uploaded on the Eggnet, is it?"

Orbot: "N-No, sir! Not yet anyway... But who is 'her' or 'she'?"

Eggman: "Excellent..."

*Eggman leaves the room, leaving behind blueprints for a brand new Death Egg.*

Eggman: "Jenni can have my old Egg base. If this is what I think it is... Then I will have all I need to plan my next attack on Mobius. Enjoy your peace time for a little longer, mongrels..."

*Eggman enters a lab, seeing a scanner scanning a new object brought into the base. It appeared to be some kind of signpost with an orb on top with a star. After putting in a bit of energy into the object, a portal opened, leading into a brand new dimension, much to Eggman's delight.*

Eggman: "The Eggman Empire shall rise! THE SPECIAL ZONE IS MINE! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Castle Acorn; Lobby

*In the lobby of Castle Acorn, Sally, Blaze, Agatha, Silver, and Gold were all ready for a trip together.*

Sally: "Everyone ready?"

Blaze: "I packed only the essentials. That's all we'll need."

Silver: "So what's this business trip about?"

Sally: "We're going to Soleanna, everyone. To meet a friend of mine and for the Soleanna Festival!"

With a new enemy established amongst the ranks of the Eggman Empire and Eggman himself planning for the future, what does the future hold for Mobius? With vigor and excitement, Sally readies a crew for new horizons towards... Soleanna, and unknowingly to their next big adventure. To be continued in...
